Not very clean and very over priced for what it is. Nice people at desk and helpful. Room smelled like old cigarettes.

Mount Airy has many shopping/eating places. However, it lacks hotels/motels. The Budget Inn is the only one. I unfortunately haven't had the same fate as the people who stay there. However, the stories about bedbugs and poor, unfriendly service is true. I recommend staying either in Frederick or down by Baltimore. I am a bit surprised due to the interstate access that there isn't more places to stay at in town. Hopefully that can become a reality to give travelers more choices then the current eyesore that the Budget Inn has created to the great town of Mount Airy.

Pricy for the quality of the room and location. No Breakfast, but coffee maker in the room and Wi-Fi worked well. Overall rooms were clean but needs upgrade.

Watch out for bed bugs. The manager refuses to acknowledge th a t they are present. I was even told not to return after being a semi regular customer.

Great little motel! The owner was very nice for the hour we had to stop. The room was very clean and comfortable especially for a quick overnight's stay.

East or West Budget Inn is the best. Good people. Most needs are there. I would suggest everyone to try it out.

Yesterday 1/24/16 was a day to help out your community as much as possible considering the 30" of snow that fell in the Mt Airy, MD area. Upon arriving home from a trip, I could not get into my neighborhood because it wasn't plowed yet. At 7pm I needed to find a close hotel for my papillon Gidget and myself to spend the night possibly two. The Budget Inn in Mt. Airy, Md was the closest place to go and it stated on the website "pets allowed". After paying $76.00 I walked into a hole of a room. Bed bugs, dirty and it smelled. At 11am the next day my neighborhood was still not plowed. I was upset and asked for late check out they said NO I would have to pay full rate. After talking to the wife I guess she said to come to the front desk. I came out of the room and was met by the husband/manager and other guests that were smoking crack all night or something. One kicked my sweet little dog that didn't make a peep DID NOT BARK at all. The manager was extremely rude to me and he told me that dogs were not allowed and asked to leave. I wish I hadn't paid upfront. I am going to dispute this. Way to help out your community in a State of Emergency Budget Inn. Never again no matter what State I'm in will I stay at a Budget Inn and will tell all fellow my dog show traveling friends to ban them as well. Shame shame.

Stayed here while on a road trip two weeks ago. We were charged 20 dollars more than the current list price. It is certainly an older hotel. However we weren't too discerning as we were both exhausted and ready for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately I awoke the next day with several clusters of bug bites. By the description online they could have been bedbugs though I can't be certain. They have been worse than anything I have ever experienced — they filled with pus within 24hrs… enough of the bugs. This establishment was clearly less than ideal. If you are passing through — keep going. And if you're planning to stay in the area: camp out! you may get mosquito bites, but at least you know what they are and that they will go away (I still currently have a cluster of red on my right calf! ) There was a coffee maker in the room and a television.

Recently moved to Mt. Airy and my parents stayed there because it was the closest hotel to our new house. This place is a hole in the wall and it appears that they may have more hourly customers than overnight customers… if you know what I mean. Don't allow anyone you care about stay here.
