We spent a few days here celebrating our anniversary and we fell in love with the place. The staff is lovely. Breakfast was delicious. The views are amazing. The best thing of all? Truman and LeeLee! We are already thinking of our repeat trip.

Stayed 2 nights and had a great time. Fantastic view of Antietam Battlefield and Sharpsburg. Nice balconies/patios (for most of the rooms) and a friendly, helpful staff. If you need ANY accommodation they do what it takes. Highly recommend.

Everything was superb! From the view to the room and then the hospitality and attention to detail was fantastic. We ended up staying in for the night and had a great time hanging out and playing games in front of the fire. One of the most relaxing and enjoyable trips I’ve had in awhile!

This was the best experience! My children and I will always remember staying at the Overlook Farm! Loved it!

We can't recommend Antietam Overlook enough. You feel comfortable and at home from the minute you walk in. The plank floors and walls, the huge fireplaces, the rooms, the views… and the staff that make you feel like any request is no big deal. Tina, Tammy, and the owner, Mark, have set the bar to a whole new level. We will return every opportunity we get and try and take someone new each time we go!

Mark and his crew are very gracious and friendly bunch. Not only a very nice place to stay but also located close to Civil War history and within 20 minutes of Harpers Ferry WV for tubing and rafting the rivers.

The two course breakfast is different every day and always delicious. The hospitality is AMAZING. The views are incredible. The beds are comfortable.

Absolutely amazing. The staff was fabulous and Mark the owner and innkeeper makes you feel right at home and he clearly enjoyed conversing with the guests. The breakfast was fantastic The rooms were extremely clean and sanitized. We already booked a stay during the summer.

Excellent place to stay in the Antietam area. This was our first visit but hope to stay again. The location and accommodations are beautiful, Tina and the staff are very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. We were very pleased with our stay. Highly recommend.

This place is a true gem. A quaint rustic retreat near the Antietam Civil War battle grounds with the most incredible views. The presidential suite was amazing. The innkeepers could not be more accommodating or gracious. The breakfast included with your room was scrumptious.

Had a great two nights at the farm. Great staff and the breakfasts were terrific. Also enjoyed Amadeo, the parrot.

This place never disappoints. Every time we stay, we discover something new and we always leave refreshed and ready to conquer the world.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights to relax and unwind. The worst part was having to leave. The views are breathtaking, the rooms were lovely, and the food and service was wonderful!

My husband and I took a night away for his 60th birthday. The Overlook farm inn was beyond amazing. The views were great but I can’t say enough about the staff. They were friendly out going and so helpful they made you feel like you were part of the family. We can’t wait to go back when we can stay longer. The picture is from our private screened in porch.

Absolutely a gem! My husband and I live close by to the farm and it still feels like you are on a secluded getaway! Very highly recommend and the staff is superb!

The best B&B I've ever seen, heard of, or experienced! The place is beautiful inside and out. The beds are super comfortable. The food is amazing. The staff is awesome! Animals everywhere; including wonderful Amadeo, an African grey parrot who lives near by in a shared lounge area. They also provide internet Wi-Fi if you really need to feed your data hunger. Go! Now! Don't wait!

A review that is well overdue:
Waaaay back in 2003 when Mark first bought this wonderful place, my former husband & I went to Antietam Overlook Farm right after that horrible hurricane that came up through Va & Maryland and we had never been to a B&B before and I tell you what…, this place is the place I refer to when others discuss B&B's. I talk more so of the beautiful fire place that is off of the kitchen/Dining room area, the staff & as a person that loves to cook, the kitchen is to die for. The Farm is peaceful, breath taking views, the crisp, star lit nights, fireplaces, the breakfast. The décor throughout. All of it is wonderful.
Fast forward to 2018: I just made reservations because I want my best friend & husband of 11yrs to finally see and enjoy the things I have spoken of all these long years now about AOF. "So excited! "

Five stars for location and facilities. Excellent staff too. I feel bad about taking one star away from the overall rating. But it is due to our experiences at other B&B's where the food at breakfast is outstanding. The breakfast here was great but not at the level we have experienced at other places.

This is a beautiful property with excellent hospitality, delicious food, and a comfortable bed. It was well worth the trip.

This place was amazingly beautiful. The staff is friendly and professional we were greeted as soon as we came in and was given a walk trough the house. I stayed in one of the biggest rooms available (general quarters) it was beautiful this room is away from all the room in the house is private and I enjoyed my visit and will definitely go back, highly recommend this place especially for a romantic weekend getaway! Great stay for the Civil War enthusiast. The staff was very friendly the breakfast is or out of this world and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable well worth the stay.

Absolutely loved our stay there and we can’t wait to stay again! The woman who took care of us was lovely! I wish I could remember her name but she helped us with everything we needed! Breakfast was great. The rooms were clean and cozy. The cat and bird were entertaining and sweet. I’m late with my review but I highly recommend this wonderful place!

We totally enjoyed our stay in the Generals quarters. The room was high and the bathroom very large. The views from our private screened patio were majestic looking at Virginia, west Virginia and Pennsylvania mountains on all sides. Shepardstown WV only 15 minutes away with quaint shops and pubs. Didn't hit the casino this trip but will definitely be back. Our hosts were down to earth, friendly and there to do anything.

We only stayed for a single night, but it certainly left a positive impression. The staff was extremely attentive to each guest and provided a welcoming atmosphere. Situated on-top of a hill, the sunset alone was well worth the trip! Look forward to returning when the local foliage is back in full bloom. Give this hidden gem a chance!

I just returned from a wonderful time at Antietam Overlook Farm. Less than 2 hours outside of DC, this B&B was the perfect place to get away for a relaxing weekend. Having chosen this peaceful, charming place on the recommendation of my brother, I was beyond pleased once I experienced it’s wonderful ambiance myself (fantastic views, great history, multiple fireplaces, rustic feel with modern conveniences, and more). From Henry, who gave a warm and welcoming greeting at arrival, a complete tour of the house and looked after us; to Tina’s delicious breakfast and friendly personality; and the owner’s attention to every detail in the main rooms and the bedrooms, everything was perfect and just what I needed to unwind. Thanks to Mark (the owner) and his staff for a wonderful time. I will definitely be back soon!

My wife and I recently spent a few days at this perfect spot. The hospitality was warm and friendly, the accommodations were comfortable and made one feel welcome. The breakfast was always delicious and filling (my favorite items being the baked pear and the blueberry pancakes). I've never felt so 'at home' in a B&B as I did at Antietam Overlook Farm. We will be returning!

We have been there three times — summer and winter — and feel it is a perfect escape from our hectic lives. Nice rooms, beautiful setting, friendly innkeepers, great individual porches (for summer) and a great fireplace in the main room (in winter), good breakfasts. This place has it all.

We live in the DC suburbs and went to the inn for a peaceful and romantic getaway. The inn is beautiful and well-maintained. It's up on a hill with a gorgeous view over the valley, in an area that is incredibly serene and quiet. The breakfasts were fabulous, among the best I've had at any B&B's. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning again.

I found this place through a web search for Bed and Breakfasts in Maryland. I have to say, I was not disappointed. I have never been to a B&B before so I cringed at the price a little bit, but I figured it was an Anniversary/Valentine's getaway so I decided to splurge. I AM GLAD I DID! The "Birdwatcher" room was totally awesome. The ambiance of the entire place was absolutely wonderful. The Innkeeper, Rebecca, made this a very easy trip. She was in constant communication with me trying to find out what she could do prior to our arrival to enhance the experience. This was well worth the money and I intend to go back again. And when they say about the nature, we watched 2-deer for almost 30 minutes. I got within 15-yards to take a photo. The breakfast in the morning was totally awesome. The server and room cleaner, Linda, was a real pleasure to work with. If you stay here, you have to go to a little general store in Sheperdstown called O'Hurley's. Very neat stuff from back when I was a kid some 30-years ago. I'm 43 now. As for nightly meals and entertainment, I would recommend the Skyline Terrace at the Hollywood Casino in Charlestown (about a 30-minute trip). We had a great meal with an awesome view of the racetrack. I highly recommend this B&B. You won't be disappointed.
