Great young lady at the front desk. Very helpful and pleasant. Nice room with comfy bed.

Our stay was good except for the mold/mildew around the tub enclosure. Other than that, all was good.

I've stayed here several times, I'll be back. Bicycle friendly, they have a hose out for a bike wash. Truck friendly. Nice staff, great area to bike ride.

We had a good stay here. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and our room was very clean, especially the bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a little dated but clean enough and cheap for one night.

Our stay there was very good! There were a couple small things that were quickly resolved. The employees were very nice & accommodating.

It was clean but kinda smelt musty, staff was nice. Close to a pizza hut so that's nice. Free breakfast.

Nasty thats all I can say. The beds had a 6" dip in them every room that we looked at stunk horrible. The rooms were outdated in dirty. Dead bugs in the windows And so many more disgusting things we didn't end up staying there we drove on to Hagerstown. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone any some serious upgrading.

Amazing staff. If there any issues they tend to them immediately. Best place to stay in hancock md. Veey clean and like I said amazing staff. I would give 10 stars if I could. Keep up the amazing work. You guy rock.

Rooms clean, no TV listing quide, bathroom no heat and super small. Breakfast was suppose to be a hot breakfast. Waffles is not a hot breakfast, coffee cold. Toiletries in the room pathetic. No cups or glasses.

It is the cheapest Super 8 that I have ever seen. When I checked into the room they sent me to, the door had been kicked in and so the lock not only didn't work but the door didn't even shut anymore. The floors in all the rooms are stained cracked. They have no microwaves even available on site. They said it was a health issue. They had no shampoo or conditioner so of course there was none in the rooms. They have no mini fridges or coffee or breakfast available on site. There is a McDonalds in front. They send you there to pay for a cup if you want one.

When America's best said I couldn't have my bicycle in my room I went over to this Motel the people are very friendly and very attentive I plan on staying there again next year.

This is a basic hotel that had a clean room and comfortable beds and was quiet. Plan on driving somewhere for your meals — there is no delivery. But it had a friendly front staff who pointed us in the right direction.

I want to preface this by saying it's not really a 5-star hotel, but I gave it 5 stars for the following reasons: we had gotten lost in a part of the country completely unfamiliar to us while traveling from central Ohio to southern NJ. We were stuck on some interstate smooshed between tractor trailers that was at a complete standstill literally for hours. I took a random exit to get off and the first hotel I saw was this Super 8. It was 4 A. M. And we just needed some sleep. The young man at the front desk provided us a room even at this odd hour. He had to manually write down my credit card number as the machines had already been taken away for the night (or something like that). We were charged the correct amount, which was extremely reasonable. We were able to get badly-needed coffee in the morning. The rooms were clean. They also came back with fridge and a microwave. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The news channel of choice on the common televisions was CNN which I appreciated.

SLEEP: If you want a good nights sleep, forget about staying at this place. The beds mattresses (on BOTH) of my beds were aged to death. FRONT DESK/SLEEP: Oh and if people are RIGHT out front of the hotel in the parking lot at 6:30AM and they are carrying on inconsiderately for OVER 20 minutes (literally) and you call the front desk they will say “it is free speech”, get defensive, give you a fake apology, blame a festival that is going on MILES down the road. When you ask them to say something after all this politely, they say sorry but there is nothing we can do and they literally hang up on you. SHOWER: After you wake up in disgust, and hope for a shower to wash off the BEING WOKE UP way before you expected to, don’t plan on it because the shower handle doesn’t turn to hot water. Was ice cold. SMOKE FILLED ROOM: The room smelled terribly of cigarettes. So bad, that my girlfriend said she was getting a sore throat from the lingering odor. Do not stay here. I am not exaggerating any of this!

Rooms were clean and quiet, if a bit dated. They started the breakfast early to accommodate our event. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample, if simple. Hot waffles, juice, and other Continental breakfast items.

Reasonable rate and clean enough room for a last minute crash spot.

Overall the place is pretty clean beds were comfortable the one thing I would say is they only put enough soap and shampoo for one person and it's a two-person room.

I went on ahead and gave it 4. It's probably a 3 1/2. Beds were comfortable, the a/c worked, and it was quiet. I didn't make the breakfast I was tired lol. It is a bit dated. It could use some maintenance and the shower. Otherwise, for the price, it was fine. 4 stars based on price/value ratio for me. Beautiful area…

Way overpriced. Carpets are soiled and stained, walls are paper thin, key cards don't work and you end up having to get replacements every night. Was charged $173 for two nights. Provided cash only to be called at the room five minutes later by the front desk that they accidentally charged my card for the stay. When they gave my cash back, it was short. To top it off, Wi-Fi didn't work the entire time on the 2nd floor. The whole place is in need of a serious upgrade. Charge guests for try he quality of the hotel. It would be a lot cheaper if they did.

I stayed two nights as I was leaving I fell down the stairs. I had to go to the hospital, tore my knee up, so I could not drive, so I went back to the motel to wait for a ride. The motel did not charge me for the extra night. The lady working her name was Hope is a wonderful person and helped me, I would like to thank her and the owner for their generosity and hospitality.

I strongly suggest to find an alternative. First, this is 21st century. You got to have at least one power outlet in the room. We all started our next day journey with our phones dead. The bathroom basin performed like a Ghetto one. The pillows were exceptionally cheap and bad. The room cleanliness was somewhat okay.

Pulled in late in the evening with a limping charter bus full of high school kids. Needed 16 rooms, and Super 8 delivered. Shyanne and Rhonda at the desk were kind and efficient, and helped us get the kids in rooms quickly and settled. They allowed us to use their breakfast area for our kids to hang out and play cards, and the other staff did a bang up job with breakfast the next morning. It was an emergency type situation, and we would have been in really bad shape if not for this hotel.

Location was convenient, parking was ample, the rooms were a good value. I've paid more for a worse experience. I would recommend this property to anyone in the area. It truly served it's purpose and the staff was friendly.

I stayed here with a friend in July 2015 when doing a GAP + C&O path Bicycle Tour. After 60 miles of Mud and a flat tire on the WMRT, it was nice to be in AC, a decent bed and hot shower. The young girl at the front Desk was very sweet and gave us a room on the 1st floor to keep the bikes in our room. We did have to switch rooms when the AC didn't work, but it was handled without question and very quickly. Breakfast was good and the location is only a couple of minutes from the Trail and local town restaurants. This wasn't the Hyatt of Hancock, but the rate was cheap, the room was comfy and it was welcome after seeing the alternative cyclist housing at the C&O Bike shop.

Hancock has a poor selection of lodging. Both the Super 8 and America's Best Value Inn (ABVI) are in rougher shape than not, but I'd say that the Super 8 is the better option. Note: If you're biking the C&O, do *not* rely on Super 8's breakfast. It's embarrassing.

Room stinks, coffee pot was dirty and had hair in the pot, handtowels were dirty.

Miranda at the front desk was very helpful, nice and accommodating. I wasn't used to this. Usually people that work in places like this are the rudest people who view the guest as a pest. It was also a convenient place to stay on route to Washington DC and was definitely cheaper, especially if you're traveling to the overcrowded Cherry Blossom Festival. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice room for the price but the manager was very rude. Will not stay here again.

This is the perfect spot for Bicyclists coming off the C&O Towpath. The front desk woman Suzi is the best. She offered me a hose and towel as soon as I arrived so I could wash all the mud off of myself, and off the bike, and then had no problem with me bringing the bike into my room. When I told her that I wasn't going to continue the trip with my group due to injury, and that I'd be stranded in Hancock for the day — she offered to let me in the room an hour early, and even let me stay an hour later the next morning — which was really helpful when you're waiting for a ride to pick you up and there's really not much else to do in town. As far as the room goes, the bathrooms are newly renovated and look and smell great! The room was nice and clean and the bed was really comfy. There's an older television, a controllable AC/Heating unit and even a mini-fridge and microwave which really came in handy. The only thing I was disappointed in here that would prevent me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of a good Wi-Fi signal. Despite the Wi-Fi router being right in the hallway, it was often extremely difficult to connect to and pretty frustrating given the lack of service here for most cellphone providers. My Verizon signal went in and out of the Extended Network and I often found myself with no connection at all. Overall — for $60 bucks — you really can't beat the deal.

Perfectly adequate for a cheap motel. Clean and friendly and they let you bring your bikes in. Free breakfast and internet a plus.

Reserved a room and cancelled it 48 hours before the check in time. They still charged my credit card and have been unable to get them give me a credit. Manager is very hard to understand, foreign. Don't stay here! If its this hard to get a fraudulent charge removed I cant imagine the quality of the hotel. I will call the credit card company and put a stop on the charge. VERY unscrupulous operation! Have had to call three times and no result.

Great staff very friendly — nice stay — will be back next year.
