Stayed on the 3rd floor and 1st floor for two weeks of my three week work stay. Suites are nice size with comfy king-size bed, a fridge and microwave. Decor is a little outdated, but rooms are clean and Maid service is good. Some of the AC units are locked at a higher temperature than I'd like and resulted in me waking up a few times too warm, but my current room is cooled nicely. There is a small outdoor pool that my co-workers enjoyed and decent breakfast every morning in the lobby including eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, juices and coffee. Front desk hosts are professional, but in a hospitality setting I expected a little more smiling and welcoming while entering and leaving the hotel. Brianna was excellent in taking all of our reservations at mostly the same time and booking our stay. My stay at the Wingate by Wyndham in Sulphur Louisiana has been a comfortable one so far.

I am a doman member I purchased 1 basic room and got up graded to a Executive Suite Just for my membership and they gave me a free gift I am very satisfied.

Great fairly clean place with very friendly staff to assist us. Super morning breakfast. Bathroom door is adjacent to room entrance door which is peculiar. Maybe a wall slide door would of been a better solution. Also an extra sitting chair would be nice as the room has only one restful chair. Good job all!

Room was clean a bed was comfortable The breakfast was nice. Cereal eggs sausage coffee juice hot waffles The room is a bit stuffy when u arrive but that is due to air being off. Once you turn on the air you will be fine. Stayed on the third floor appears room may have recently been renovated… Would stay here again.

I'm rating this hotel with 4 stars because of the handling of our stay. Although our experience wasn't the best. I don't believe it is the overall standards of the hotel. I've stayed at the Wydham hotel before and it was very nice. Thank you to the ladies at the front desk and the General Manager for their professionalism in this matter.

Pleasant Stay… Traveled out here on special orders. Might I say front desk Representative Eric, made sure every need was met while here at Wingate by Wyndham. I am a neat freak sort of an ODC yet I had no complains. Thanks Again.

Really nice place. Erik was helpful. They have Christian music playing all the time; perfect ministry.

Service was excellent and the place was immaculate. The suite I stayed in had a jet tub and very spacious. I was surprised how quiet it was being so close to the freeway. And breakfast was hot and deliscious.

The TV did not work when I checked in. But the nice lady at front desk Lisa kept working the issue until it was resolved. The free breakfast, small refrig and microwave in the room, plus coin laundry are added value. But I give the place five stars just because of Lisa.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was very nice, very clean, & height expectations were met. We found the staff to be pleasant & helpful. We would definitely stay at a Wingate again. Thank you! Lois & Joe Lowe.

This is a really great place to stay. Unfortunately can't say much about the area. But the hotel is a bright clean comfortable place to spend the night. They have all of the modern amenities that you wold expect and Friendly staff.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! I stayed here w my wife and baby daughter. There was a snake in my room, which crawled unto my bed early in the morning. When I called the front desk, the clerk didn't want to move me because she had to get authorized! In-fricking-credible! Then, management didn't even look for me to ask if anything was ok… I approached then to let them know it was a safety hazard, which was nonchalantly accepted… I honestly believe, given the overall attitude, that nothing was checked… This hotel's personnel is an obvious reflection of the poor hotel owner's leadership and management…

It was awesome. The rooms and restrooms were nice and clean. Service is fast and easy. Love it.

Room had good AC and the bed was comfortable. Found some bugs on the bed and the lightning was very dim. Hotel was quiet. Complimentary breakfast was waffles and fruit.

Had to stay here after an accident resulting in a total loss heading to Texas. This is the only hotel in the area that is not ghetto. The lady at the desk was a pro. During a time of distress and being left stranded, the front desk lady was courteous and understanding. There were 6 of us and we got two rooms for the night. Very clean rooms, no smoke smell, soft pillows and clean linen. On a side note, Sulphur is a horrible town and I would recommend you stay away. This hotel was a beacon of light in a cesspool of a city. Thank you guys.

The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent.

Hotel is nice, clean and functional. Was a bit disappointed to learn that the Wyndham rewards was not honored because I reserved my room using expedia. This will have me look harder for a program that will earn points for patronizing them no matter how I book.

Staff was very nice, room was clean and A/C worked great. Pool is OK nothing fancy. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and all the expected breads and cereal.

5 … Not Very Far… 4rm Texas/Louisiana Family Oriented… Comfortable Stay.

We never intended to stay in this hotel since we were only driving by but the overnight stay was more than expected. The lady at the lobby was very attentive and sweet. The room was clean and nice even for just the overnight stay.

Well like so many before me. The outside was ok and the I side is falling apart. I "HAD" to stay here for work I was here a total of 10 weeks and they did everything in their power to shake me down for any money they could get from me, because you use your credit card at the front desk they will start charging it and never say a word. Just make up charges about my family coming to see me and bam $60 missing. When I wuestion them about it they will lie and make up anything they can to get money out of you. If you have to stay here make sure your credit card it's money on it. It won't when you leave. I would have donated money to see it go to the inside just so my room would be functional. But my lawyer will get the money back. I can prove days they charged me I was. Not even at the hotel.

It's not ok when you rate there service as a joke and give them a poor rating because the management gets in trouble from high up in the company and it effects the works that don't get paid enough to clean and be nice to there customers and a bad rating effects the mangers bonus and there reputation of the hotel that they protect. Some time it's ok to say sorry for giving a bad rating as a joke and fix it. But it's all about the managements bonus at the end of ever review. But still wasn't satisfied on the way poor people like me where treated at Wingate of sulphur Louisiana. Thanks for making a poor family that was homeless feel like they don't belong in a hotel like there's.

I wish I could give no stars. This place sucks, musty mold smelling hell. My personal belongings were gone through by staff. They had no reason to go through my things, I will never stay with them ever again. S/N The picture they have up posing as the Wingate in fact looks nothing like that. It's very outdated and smells awful (especially on the elevator)

Overall a good experience I feel the bathroom and room could've been a little cleanier for the money we spent but the host in the front desk Sarah made up for it with her very friendly service and attitude! Real hospitality from her and was very appreciated.

All the ladies were amazing.

Not a $200 a night hotel. $100 at best. Don't waste your money.

This is a letter written to the hotel concerning my stay: On Saturday, February 7, 2015, my husband and I booked a room at the Wyndham located in Sulphur, Louisiana. It was our wedding anniversary and the first time we had stayed the night away from our 2 year old. We were looking forward to our king size room and actually being able to sleep in. We usually stay at a Hilton owned hotel, but we decided to give the Wyndham a chance, since the reviews I read were mostly very positive. We checked in to the hotel about 12:30 a. M. After going to the casino. We had all intentions of checking in before the casino, but we decided that since the room was prepaid, we’d just wait until afterwards. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given our room key. As we entered our room, we noticed the TV was on and there were bags in the room. We went back downstairs, and the lady found out (after about 45 mins) that the room said vacant, but apparently it was not. I began checking for other hotels in the area, but by this time they were all booked up. As it was already after 1:00 a. M. We decided to stay in the double bed. I am very upset and frustrated about this situation for many reasons. Let’s start with the original room. I kept thinking to myself, what if we would have checked in before the casino, and this would’ve been our room someone walked into. That in itself is a little terrifying. You trust that when you leave your room, your belongings are safe.

Great hotel! Front desk very professional and helpful. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Recommend highly.

Nice and clean rooms! At a very good price range.

Surprised at how clean the rooms were for the price. Very spacious. Bathroom was spotless. Shower/shower head was great. Staff was beyond helpful. Will be back soon.

I stay here 2 weeksEverything great, ok breakfast, nachos, kookies and 2 times a week pizza @ night. Internet is fast but I had to reconnect every hour in my phone. Ooooo and they stold my personal towel and microwave sinks.

Will not stay here again not worth my money for the suite we stayed in.
