We were so blessed to stay at the Sunrise Inn in Williamstown Kentucky. We had planned to stay at The Holiday Inn Express but they were full and I'm so glad they were. Sunrise is in the process of remodeling and even though they have not finished yet the rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was great. They have everything you need. Also it's right across the street from the Ark Encounter and the owners are Christians. The best part to me is how the staff was so warm and kind. They make sure your stay at the Inn is great. You feel like a part of their family. I will definitely stay there again.

Clean shabby chic style room. Older hotel, but nice. The all you can eat breakfast is a very limited continental breakfast with sausage gravy and biscuits.

This is a very basic but clean motel room. They do offer a hot breakfast and the motel is only approximately 3 minutes from the Ark Experience. The room is clean but has basic cable only, a tube t. V. Very small bathroom. We reported our tub was leaking and they said they would take care of it. Friendly staff. Convenience store right next door.

New owners. Very quiet place. Very helpful staff. Doing renovation s but just a room at a time. Would give it five stars if all were completed. The beds we had were on the firm side. Call and ask for the new rooms and they will accommodate if possible. Will come back again…

Very nicely remodeled room with country theme! Very comfortable mattress and perfect location for Arc experience! No complaints perfect stay highly recommend.

The room was NOTHING like the photos. They have patched ceiling pieces and the bathroom is pretty old. Also the walls are paper thin. Definitely not worth the money or the convenience of being close to the ark.

Staying the night in Rm. The Cotton Room, (Theme) so ask for it went you call to reserve. All new room, very nice. Everything works, beds n pillows are good, no unpleasant odors here cause it's all New. They also mentioned Rm 135 or 136 is remodeled nicely also. Going to walk across the street to Ark Encounter tomorrow morning n save the $10.00 on parking. Works for me. Would definitely stay here again. Hopefully the breakfast is good, I heard that it is.

This is right across the street from the Ark Encounter. What I and my wife liked is being able to park right outside our room and being in a one story building. The room was clean and across the parking area was the main office and dining area for breakfast. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and willing to assist. Next time we are in the area we will definitely plan to stay here.

I stayed in this motel for 3 nights; it is right across the street from the Ark Encounter and directly off the I-75 exit. It could not be more convenient or accommodating. The room was excellent, clean, warm, and very comfortable. The breakfast served in the morning is second to none! It was probably the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a motel that was included in the price. Well worth the stay and the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. The Ark is a short walking distance so if you stay at the motel, you can also avoid the $10 parking fee for the Ark and the exercise is good to get you ready for a busy day at the Ark too. I would HIGHLY recommend this motel to everyone who is planning a trip to the Ark Encounter. Clean, convenient, hospitable, friendly, and helpful, I could ask for nothing more. The joy when traveling are the many wonderful experiences one may have during the trip; at times, some are unfavorable and those seem to overshadow the overall enjoyment. However, when you have a truly outstanding place to relax as well as have a remarkably amazing breakfast to start your day, you will not be disappointed.

This location turned out to be convenient with easy freeway access and close to popular attractions. The rooms could use remodeling, but the staff is friendly and they have complimentary breakfast which features biscuits and sausage gravy. Not the healthiest choice, but they also have hard boiled eggs, fruit, and yogurt, along with excellent coffee.

This hotel may mot be a 5 star hotel but I rate this a 5. The staff was very friendly and not rude. The rooms were clean and organized. The beds like most hotels were a little bit firm for my likening. The best part was the breakfast, the food was hot and was very good. There was plenty to choose from, you won't go hungry. I recommend this hotel to anyone and we are planing another trip back to this location in an other date and we are going to stay here again.

Loved our room! It must be one of the newly renovated ones because it was super cute with such charm. The only non renovated area was the bathroom, but it served its purpose. Really conveniently located to the Arc. We saved $10 in parking by walking. They provided us a good simple breakfast — bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit cups, Danish, biscuits, and coffee. The only con was the noise level. Since it is right near the highway you can hear traffic in the background. Wasn't terribly disturbing to us, but if you're noise sensitive, keep it in mind.

Overall my experience at the Sunrise Inn was very pleasant. Staff were nice and accommodating. The facility appears in the process of a much needed updating. 'Breakfast' consists of simple quick cold items such as breakfast cereals, yogurt and cups of fruit. But considering the price, everything was ok.

Across the street from The Ark Encounter. Location is wonderful, great proximity to I-75. Large room with King-sized bed and large corner desk. Small bathroom. If you're just wanting a place to rest and sleep it's great for that. If you're looking for fancy you won't find it here. We'll likely be back when we visit the Ark again. Many restaurants close by.

Well, we certainly did not have one of the renovated rooms! First impression took a while because the door was stuck. Got inside and settled in for bed and realized no clock. Was gonna call the front desk for a wake up call and… no phone. Hard beds and room needs a lot of help. On the good side — nice staff and breakfast. Average price.

We stayed here two nights so we could go to the Ark Encounter. If you like to walk it's a short walk to to Ark parking lot. The room was clean, beds firm and tho close to I-75 it's pretty quiet. The breakfast was spartan, but had enough to satisfy. Staff very friendly and helpful.

-over price for a room that doesn't even have a microwave or a refrigerator, to even get ice you have to go into the office and ask for it. $100 for one night beds were very uncomfortable pillows were incredibly hard. TV was older than me. Would not recommend staying unless you absolutely have to. On a good note bathroom was pretty clean the bed smelled clean and there is no bed bugs!.

— Breakfast was good. — Motel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Ark Encounter. — Room was nice; bed was comfortable. However, outlets were dated and did not hold plugs securely, causing lamps to flicker and causing frustration with plugging in personal items. ***request a room that has been rewired. *** — Though rooms were non-smoking, we dealt with smoke while unloading on arrival date and then again while loading on departure date. Motel workers smoke outside laundry rooms on the same side of the building that guest room doors open out. ***if you are allergic to smoke, request a room away from where their workers gather to smoke.

Enjoyed staying with them. Very clean and quiet. Liked having 4 pillows per bed. Also nice that the Ark was within walking distance to them. We chose not to do that but was nice. The only negative thing was not much to choose from as far as availability of food. We ended up eating Mexican which was very good.

That was pure horror! The carpet disgusting the mattress pfuiiii and holes in the ceiling. Air only warmed up on all cases no 2 times not recommended and too expensive.

I booked there a couple months ago for July 7th, 8th, 9th. Checking out on the 10th. Requested Queen, non smoking room. Got there, they told us they didn't have a Queen, just a room with 2 double beds. We said OK. When we got to the room it smelled so bad of smoke. Told them no, so they changed us to a king bed and the cable didn't work right. Flashed the picture off and on. We changed rooms the next day, while sitting and eating our lunch the owner of the hotel came over to our room. He rented the room to another couple. The housekeeper came to our door and asked how many days we were staying. Said until the 10th at check out time. The owner had made the key for that other couple so our key wouldn't work. Had to get that changed. On the 10 th was wanting to get a shower and there was no hot water. I asked about the hot water and was told some rooms didn't have any water and no rooms had hot water. Don't stay there. It was $80.00 a night plus taxes. Felt bad for the housekeeper, she was taking care of everything, nice lady.

It was nasty inside the sink had running water but no plumbing. Was over priced. The free breakfast was bread, little donuts, cereal. Location was great.

Verla was a sweetheart. Room was stinky from cigarettes, but clean. Well worth the $50/night.

The room smelled very bad, carpet was discusting, dont stay their.

This is not a three star hotel. It is ok, but not completely clean.

Nice motel with clean spacious rooms, and a nice small restaurant across the parking lot. The restaurant is a place where locals meet (the coffee sipping policemen were just like a scene from an American TV series — tourists from abroad won't be disappointed ;-). I was there in October, while the temperatures were in the 90s (! ). Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed, but who would have expected such a weather in autumn?
