Wonderful place to stay, very friendly.

They were very nice and pet friendly has a great atmosphere.

Said they are pet friendly but no safe place for dogs to do there business. Parking lot is small real congested with construction machines parked in a small parking lot.

It is what it is, a budget friendly motel. The bad… I encountered 3 cockroaches in a 4 week stay and seen the law visit 3 times. I felt safe here. The beds were comfortable, had cable tv, Wi-Fi and hot showers. The front daytime desk clerk is wound tight but he runs a tight ship. The maids are friendly and try to make you happy. I've seen worse. Can't complain for $33 a night. I would stay here again.

Clean comfort bed. Much older building updated rooms with wood laminate clean rooms bath but doors are old wood. Moulding around doors and baseboards really chewed up. Stay at 3 different hotels last week and all about same price other econo lodges and days inn those were extremely nice and comfortable. People at hotel running it very nice but I would think this should be more like a off brand hotel not national chain… its time to call it something like budget friendly hotel… sorry but true.

We came here after a ton of traveling for a short nights sleep, my room 230 had “a/c” not, it was an oven for my and my 3 kids in the room with me, drenched in sweat when we woke. It was colder outside than the room… and it is July. But the other room had working a/c, both smelt gross, stale cigarettes had blankets with holes from burn marks. Disgusting.

Worst ever! Rude Arabic man working the front desk was enough however upon entering the room full of smoke and mildew smell was the icing on the cake… I have a four year old son that I would NEVER allow to sleep in such a disgusting environment! Trust me when I say it is Nasty! Foul smells… rude staff. And police patrol more than usual at a motel take your family and stay else where!

Hotel is right next to a gentlemen's club. The rooms are pretty quiet and in okay condition. There is no alarm clock in the room. Wife is fast.

Exactly what I expect, but better! No carpets which is great, all nice laminate. Impressed after havig stayed at many other cheaper options. Happy I chose this.

Could've been worse, could've been better. The whole building looks like it's been painted over a hundred times, room was expensive for what we got, floors squeaked, bed squeaked, toilet paper holder broke, walls had damage and spackle everywhere, there was a door in our room that led to the next room over but it was blocked off with blue masking tape and a chair, TV had no working channels… But it was fairly clean, the bed was comfortable, and I didn't get mugged or raped.

I've been a customer for this hotel for at least the past five years, we'd always use this as our half way point between trips. My last visit this past Sunday I found a bed bug. I understand that it's not really the hotels fault for having bed bugs, as people come and go from many places. I simply bagged up the bug for proof and handed it over to the lady that was working the front desk. She apologized and said that because I made the reservation online that she could not give me the refund for the one night stay and that I would have to call Choice Hotels. So we stayed somewhere else that night. When I called Choice Hotels the next day, they had to call this Econo Lodge to verify that there was a case of bed bugs. Unfortunately, when Choice Hotels called this Econo Lodge denied that there was ever a report of bed bugs. I don't know if this was a miscommunication on the hotels behalf or if they didn't want to acknowledge it. Either way I did not get a refund. And therefore I will NOT be back to this hotel.

BED BUGS and ROACHES, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, "free breakfast" is toast and old cereal. MOLDY rooms and BROKEN appliances. SMELLS like an ASHTRAY and has cigarette burns in sink tub and furniture. Dont staying here.

Worst motel experience ever. When I arrived at my room the TV was on and somebody had used one of my pillows to prop themselves up to view TV better from the bed. Place was grimey and dingy. Room had clearly been a smoking room ar one time, there were cigarette burns all over the counter top and tub edge. Noise from room above sounded like 300 lb toddler running back and forth across the room, Stopping only long enough to occasionally jump off the dresser. Called front desk around 12:30 to complain. Woman said that the maintenance man lived in that room and she would call him and have him stop. Which he did at 3 a. M. I had a wakeup call for 5:45. Place sucks pond scum.

The rooms are nice with small but very comfortable beds. Staff is nice and worked with us on the room rate without even asking. Location is not so great for locals but perfect for anyone just passing through that needs to simply stop and rest.

After remodel rooms are more updated but doors and windows could stand to be resealed. No issues with cleanliness. A good value stay as always.

Cheap sketchy hotel, smelled strongly of cleaner (perhaps because of all the past dirty complaints on here) — mismatched "furniture" — empty TV armoire in corner for drawer space, I suppose. No alarm clock, TV remote didn't work, hole in bathroom ceiling where a light had been, pretty dumpy. I wouldn't recommend. Have stayed in better Econolodges.

Probably the 2nd worst hotel I've stayed at… no hot water in shower. Stains on bedding. Only half the lights worked. Furniture was mismatched and in poor shape. For the condition of room, rate shouldn't have been more than $25. I think I would have faired better just sleeping in my car. Check-in was quick and simple, checking out, not so much. Lady behind desk kept saying how she shouldn't even be working. The customer in front of me was complaining of bugs in her room. I handed in my card keys to leave, the lady asked me to wait a minute. After a good amount of time passed I asked if I was good to go and as I was about to just walk away, she printed off and handed me my receipt. This is the 2nd time in the last month I've had an issue with a Choice Hotels establishment. Pretty sure I will never stay at one of their properties again…

Clean place nice shower plenty of hot water. Nice beds reasonable price.

Clean but cigarette burns on tub a d sink. No bugs. Good small breakfast. Cheap. Close to gas station and 75.

D'ont waste your money. This place needs a — 5 rating and needs to be closed down. Its full of bedbugs and the staff are rude. This Barbra b*tch has multiple complaints yet the owner keeps letting her run off the little business they do get. You will be anything but relaxed when you check in and are sure to take a few of those problems home.

If I could give it a zero star I absolutely would. First off don't let the front lobby deceive you. The rooms are disgusting, our first room had bed bugs then the secomd room they gave us had roaches. This place is disgusting and I will never stay at another econo lodge again.

The man at the front desk is so incredibly rude! Would never come here again, the rooms are disgusting. Appliances that don't work, bedding was stained, and I asked for a non smoking room and walked into a room that smelled entirely of smoke. Don't ever come here, just save yourself the trouble.

Our room was so nasty! The floor had drug paraphernalia, the bed linens had stains and burn holes and the furniture had layers of dirt and dust. One light didn't work and one had a blown bulb. There was no smoke alarm and the security lock was missing. The door was so ill fitted you could see through the crack outside. Stair wells were not lit up and had broken furniture blocking part of it. No vending machines on site. The place needs condemning!

I had no issues with my recent stay in room 102. The lights worked, the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, the hot water worked, and the sheets and towels were clean and plentiful. The breakfast was simple but fine. When I booked online there were 3 rooms left and later that night the place was full with no vacancy. The mattress was a Serta. The breakfast consisted of cereal, bread/toast, butter and jelly, danishes, juice and coffee. The TV was an older SD tube TV but I didn't even turn it on. The staff were friendly and nice at check-in and checkout.

Incredibly comfortable bed. Spacious, clean. Great customer service, friendly accommodating staff. Quiet, easy to find. My highest recommendation. After the motel 6 I stayed in last night this was night and day and the same price. Can't be beat for value plus luxury.

This place is extremely awful, it smells like sh## in these's rooms, they never ask if u need anything like a normal motel would do, the woman up front can be real nasty bout the way she speaks to people, We pay to stay here, so I believe they should wanna make ur stay here very comfortable and clean, but its the total opposite, plus this motel has roaches, badly and that's nasty. What should people do, where else should people stay, clean this place up, and add snack machines, and also add a small laundry site for the convenience of the guest. Am I right or what?

I've stayed in some pretty questionable fleabags but this one takes the cake. Asked for non smoking but room smelled like an ashtray. The blanket and sheets were stained but so was the bathroom so at least they're consistent. They advertised a mini fridge that wasn't there so I decided to at least get some ice only to find the ice machine was broken. My wife got an allergic reaction from whatever pets had been running all over the unwashed bedding for God only knows. So yeah it's better than sleeping on the ground but considering we finished the night sleeping in the car, save yourself the 50 bucks of spend the extra twenty and stay someplace else.

We reserved a room with Econo Lodge in Lexington. I got a confirmation email and I was booked and ready to go. My Ill mother and I travel for hours to get to our room so she can have her surgery at UK Hospital in the morning. We arrive at the hotel and the lady at the desk tells us that her manager has declined our reservation. Why wasn't I informed of a denied reservation?! This is crazy we are driving around Lexington at 4 am looking for a place to stay having to be at the hospital at 9am. I also have my 5 year old daughter riding along with us. Everywhere in this town is fully booked. Prayers for my family please.

Run down and needs remodeled, had to change to staybridge for a more comfortable stay for work here in lexington ky.

When I arrived, first thing I tried to do is turn the air on because the room was what felt like 90 degrees. Waited about 30 minutes and realized the air wasn't coming on… Went down to lobby to ask for a different room and the wicked witch that sat at the desk first was telling me that she wouldn't change me rooms because nobody had complained yet and because I needed to be more patient in waiting for it to come on because there is a delay, yet I waited longer than 10 minutes so I couldn't change rooms because I was in there for too long. Finally, after about 20 minutes of insisting that she come show me how to get it to turn on she finally gave me a new room. However, apparently the protocol for the hotel is That regardless of what complaints you have from room to room, you only get one room change. New room had air but no shower curtain and only one light worked in the room. I was forewarned that there is only one room change so another change was denied to me… Won't ever come back! I wouldn't make my dog live in those conditions!

This ones ok considering the cheap rates they charge. Polite staff. Food options are limited to only bread and corn cereals. Truly an economy stay. Spotted a small spider in room. It didn't bother me though.

I reserved a room here in September. The room stunk, cigarette burns all in the bedspread, was supposed to be a smoke free room but smoke smell was heavy, safety lock on door was missing and door frames were splintered where door had been kicked in. We immediately went to front desk and demanded a credit. I now see where they've had bed bugs as late as 7/16. Don't stay there! Reluctantly the manager.

Worst I ever been. Had to change rooms 4 times. Two of them because the smell of cigarettes was like there was a cigarette party inside the room. And this room was suppose to be no-smoking. The other because the air condotioner started to make a noise that nobody could've sleep. The last one wasn't that bad. We were tired and needed a place to sleep. No recommended for families!

We stopped here around 2a after a grueling 12 hours of traveling from Minnesota. We are moving to the east coast and have trailer full of belongings. We get our room key, turns out the room key didn't work. Went to the front desk and the lady gave us a different room. That room key worked, but as soon as we walked in, the room smelled like someone was just in there smoking two packs of cigarettes. Probably why the smoke detector was ripped from the ceiling. There was no upper lock to the door, the other lock didn't seem to work, there were burn holes in the bedspread and hair stuck to the cotton sheet underneath, a big hole in the wall, toilet didn't flush and was not fixable. Being there for under 15 minutes, we realized even after that long trek, we could not stay there. We calculated that pulling our 16 ft. Trailer through the mountains suffering from sleep deprivation was a wiser choice than staying at this hotel. The lady at the desk did reimburse us for the poor experience and was VERY apologetic/nice and she deserves to work somewhere better. Overall, I'm happy the room scared us away in time so we didn't catch anything…

We went to Lexington to have surgery on my boyfriend eyes and we rented a room at econo lodge at 5527 Athens boonesboro road Lexington ky 40509 and we went to the hospital to have the operation when we got back after 8:00 pm all hell broke lose I wanna give this motel the highest rating piece of shit in my life the room was nasty we went over and ask for three more pillows because the doctor told my boyfriend to lay on right side with three pillows thhwy refused and the woman up front was rude, nasty and hateful the a/c didn't work and we ask for another room and they said they couldn't do that so we got into it about the a/c and the pillows and they called the police on us and we called and told them that there was gonna be 4 people we paid 50.00 dollars for a room then they had the law to come back and get another 21.00 dollars more before we could leave or they was gonna get us for theft I highly recommend for nobody to rent or stay at this motel pillows are flat and the bed had burnt holes in them or you can rent a room and find out for yourselves. God bless india people.

July 14th! Online they say they have an indoor pool. When I asked the very RUDE lady up front she said, "if you can find one in the parking lot then you can swim in it. " I then asked for the Wi-Fi password and then she kept asking if I was even staying there. Which I understand make sure they are staying there before you give them the password to the Wi-Fi that doesn't work! Once I told her what room I'm in she kept repeated me 137 are you sure 137 and I told her yes. I checked in before she got there. She then asked what type of room it was. I reply a king room. She then looked at me and my husband and my 1 year old child and said, "YOU'RE IN A KING ROOM?! " I reply yes she said there is not room for my son. I rolled my eyes and said we cosleep if you are so worried about it! Very RUDE! I about asked for my money back and go somewhere else. The young man that was there before her was nice. As far as the room it's clean and the floors are clean and pretty. No bed bugs or and bugs. The lamps are nasty and need work. One doesn't even work. No pool!

BED BUGS! Our experience at this hotel was absolutely awful. To start, the rooms were old and had a musty smell. Everything in the room was way outdated which has been mentioned by others so I wont dwell. The showers were cold and the water pressure cut out at random moments. The morning after our stay we came back to our room and noticed blood on some of the sheets, after digging through the bed I noticed SEVERAL BED BUGS! We immediately packed our belongings into trash bags and vacated the room. We notified hotel staff who said they could do nothing for us since we paid through priceline and told us they would have the manager call us when he came on shift. Needless to say, late this afternoon the manager called and said he could not reimburse us since we paid through priceline, but offered us a free nights stay in their bug infested motel. I urge everyone to find another hotel to stay in!

It was good for the money spent. The "hard wood" floors where nice except for the transition from the bed room part to the bathroom part. The breakfast was also lacking as it was basically cereal, juice, and muffins.

Checked in at 2pm on 6/21. There was a guy standing outside smoking. He didn't look to be of great character. 15 minutes later the phone in my room is ringing. (3 separate times back to back) The phone wasn't even working. Each time I picked it up there was nothing. No dial tone, no voice, etc. So I didn't know how it was even ringing. (I am a female and alone mind you. ) several hours later someone knocked on the door. Checked the peep hole… No one there. Asked someone who was sitting out in their vehicle… they said some guy in a red shirt. Not even 10 minutes later there's a knock again. A girl and a guy are standing there at my door and say "oh I'm sorry" and walk off. At this point I am freaked out. I call the front desk and he puts a do not disturb sign on the door handle. At 8:30pm I left. There is no way I could stay the night there alone and get any type of sleep. As far as the room goes… you get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting anything fancy. Money was tight and I had to get something cheap. I didn't see any roaches or bugs in my room. There were more burn holes in the blanket than I could count. The material around the box spring was split open. The air conditioner worked way better than what I could ask for. A tad noisy but nothing I couldn't get past. I asked for a smoking room but the icon on the door was a no smoking. Asked again just to be sure and he said it was "mislabeled" and it was indeed a smoking room. It's right across from a gentlemans club.

It really bed bugs there I did try sleep there but noticed old there so I check bed under mattress and find bed bugs big time so I left quickly sorry to tell the truth that I have to protect other people not want to have bedbug there.

Our blanket had cigarette holes in it and the other blanket looked like it had a hot iron set on it and forgot about. Huge iron burn. Cant expect much for the price but it was ok.

It was clean, but not spotless. The room was also in a state of disrepair. The floor sunk in, there were signs of dogs being locked in the bathroom, and even the doors needed paint. I chalked it up to, "you get what you pay for, " but there wasn't any pride in ownership for this hotel. I wouldn't recommend it, though our stay wasn't unpleasant and it was nice to be able to have our dog stay with us for cheap.

Deplorable, this place is infested with roaches and only God know what else! It is extreme old and dated has a definite odor! There is no rate below 1 star or I would have definitely placed a — 5 stars at the least.

Awful hotel checked in and room had blood and fecal stains all over and manager refused to switch rooms and I called health department and police to resolve. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The stay was ok but I had left something in the room and when I called about it, a lady picked up the phone and was very rude I just hope they get more people with common sense and social skills to work for them.

Room was in poor condition. Clean enough I guess, but rough shape. It was the cheapest place that I found though.

Stayed two nights here the girl that checked us in was super great, she needs to go to the Hilton or Double Tree and work she is that good, the manager/owner needs to buy a one way ticket back to India, because he hates Americans I was in Cynthiana and was heading back to Lexington so I called and ask him if my wife, 2 kids and my grandson (3 months old) could stay with a late check out at 12:00 noon (regular checkout is 11:00) I told him I would pay as soon as I got there in 1 hour he said no no I will give you till 11:30 that's it, so at 11:50 when I drove 90 mph to Lexington my family was standing outside in the cold with my 3 month old grandson, besides that no hot water, no Working TV, dirty floor AVOID AT ALL COST, same guy owns the comfort inn right beside it and it's covered up with roaches take my advice go to Hamburg or Winchester rd same money much better quality! If the young lady that checked us in on day 1 go to another hotel you got what it takes to succeed!

The Smokefree room was smoke ridden. I captured a bedbug. Uuuuggg! Trash behind bed, dirty tub. Never again. Rm232

Key card didn't work, had to go to front desk each time we left and returned to ask for door to be unlocked with their master key. ☆bed bugs☆. Bed frame broke. Cracks in the walls. Electric went off twice. Air condition unit sounded awful. Wi-Fi did not work Cheap and ran down. I will never stay here again.

Terrible very desrepectful owner we over slept he called an beat our door down told me I had five mins get out an I had kids to dress an he wouldnt even give me time to get them into weather permitibg clothes so we had to stand outside in the cold untill we got a ride an my kids sayin they were cold the owner had no respect to let me dress ny kids or to even let us stay for ten extra mins till we got a ride! The rooms are not clean as it was an the doors had air coming through. The water does not get hot at all. My kids now had bites from some type of bug yuck an desrespectful donot go there.
