It's fine but if avaste next door is open, stay there. Just about the same price and much nicer + continental breakfast & pool which Motel 6 doesn't offer.

Friendly staff, quick and easy check in. Good prices. Noise not an issue.

The place inside looks better than outside, clean room, comfortable bed, will visit again.

We were impressed with the new flooring and comfortable beds. Keep up the good work! Neighborhood was somewhat sketchy looking. However, they have extensive security cameras in place and we were made to feel welcome.

This location is right off the highway and within walking distance of two fast food restaurants, a few minute's drive to a number of other restaurants. We've stayed at this location a few times and it has been consistently not bad. Sure it's not the greatest but I've definitely stayed in worse. The bed was great, the shower was hot, and the cleaning crew was better than some other places we've stayed. There were some maintenance problems that could be addressed but they were minor. In all, if you need a decent place to crash for the night in Emporia you could definitely do worse.

Basic cheap clean room in older property. Even numbered rooms get early sun which shines around blackout curtains. Shower curtain rod was not affixed high enough which allowed excess curtain to lay on tub floor. My husband fuxed it, for how ever long that lasts. Work table was not near electrical outlets so we moved it next to the tv. Free Wi-Fi for all. Nice staff.

For only $45 (included a senior discount and all taxes) it was a place to sleep… bare essentials for sure. Not super clean but no bugs. Beds were clean and fairly comfortable. Only coffee by the front desk from a pump pot with powdered creamer. Small frig in room had mold in it and not very cold. Will spend a little more tonight and upgrade.

Bathroom was not properly cleaned, shower didn't drain very good Possible bed bugs Only half the channels advertised actually worked No fabric softener was used on linens, woke up looking like Einstein Guy at front desk was very curious and helpful, we arrived so late at night all we wanted was sleep.

This is one of the best motel 6 franchises. I really appreciated how they accommodated my late arrival. The staff was very friendly. I stayed on a cold night, but the room had it's own temperature controls. The bathroom was very clean. A++

Building has strong odor. Fridge in room didn’t work at all. It was cheap though.

The room was lovely however I was harassed after I called about being late checking out past 11 am. I am disabled & was moving slower than usual. The staff harassed me until the I opened the door & maids started cleaning the room as I was moving luggage out.

Nice staff but better bring family or friend with you hahaha not alone …

I have stayed at this Motel 6 many times. Each time they make you feel like a welcome guest. I locked my keys in my car and they invited me and my dogs to stay in the air conditioned lobby while we waited for AAA. Even when I arrive late and wake up the owner he welcomes me and never mentions the lateness of the hour or being woken up in the middle of the night.

Check in experience was fine. Rooms are rooms. The rooms are gross. Initially they seem fine if a little cheap, but it's a super cheap motel. The shower curtain was spattered with… Mud? The bedsheets have hair in them. It's not mine, which I would normally assume since I shed. But my hair is a very distinct blue and these were not. There were shorter, curlier hairs present as well. There was a weird stain thing on the floor? It looked suspect. And some kind of spatter on the wall. Pro: no bedbugs as far as I can tell. I feel like my bar is low for a place of this price but come on. I'm writing this in the room and I'm fuming because I'm too exhausted after an 11 hour drive to go deal with it right now. I guess it's nice that the room doesn't contain super immediate biohazards so I can clean and just get some damn sleep.

I always enjoy my stay for a quick get away with friends. The price is right and the rooms are clean. I will be back.

It was a good deal. It is an older Motel 6 but had a nice flat screen and free Wi-Fi that worked fine. No complaints.

Good value for the buck. Clean, but a bit tired looking building /signage. Rooms were nice. Friendly reception.

Clean and smell free. Gas and quickie Mart in front. Lots of parking, dog friendly with grassy area. Full bath, ok AC and you can open the windows ALL THE WAY!

Great visit. Staff was greatand personable. House keeping went the extra mile and even played qith my dog. Excellent.

I booked a room at your hotel in Emporia Kansas for 3 nights. Room was not clean at all. Had hair all over the bathroom floor. Emporia had a main water line break the last day/night I was to stay. At 4pm that day they said the water would not be back on until around midnight. I discussed with the lady working the front desk and about canceling my room for that night and she said that it couldn't be done. I find that to be amazing since I had no toilet to use nor could I take a shower. Prior to this conversation about canceling the room for that night she had called and told me to move my van. There were literally only 4 cars in the total parking lot. I was parked in one of the spots but was informed by her that I parked in HER spot. I guess her walking the other 4 ft. To the next spot was going to be a bother to her. I own a business and if one of my employees ever spoke to a customer like that they would not be employed. I do understand the cost of the room was fairly cheap. However I do expect the room to be clean and to be treated in a professional manner. This lady could not have been more rude. She wasn't pleasant when I checked in and she should probably not be working in a place where she ahs to deal with the public. Why I would be forced to stay at a hotel that had no running water is beyond me. Because of the water main break there were no options of places to eat at either.

Yuck. Not only are the rooms a little scary and basic beyond belief (cheap soap, scratchy towels), the owner of the hotel seemed aggressive and inconvenienced at check-in… This put aside, he called our room at 10:30 a. M. To (not so subtly) remind us of checkout at 11 a. M… followed up by a hostile knock at the door 15 minutes later as a further reminder, and a very loud vacuum cleaner in the hallway banging against the door to the room! We were fully aware that check out was at 11 a. M. But to be harassed by the management left a very sour taste upon checkout. The general message from the management was: 'GET OUT. ' By far, the worst motel we stayed in during our entire road trip of the USA. If you can afford anything better, skip this place. Seriously.

Got a room in Emporia Kansas with two beds room was nice. But there was a pee stain on one of the beds and a blood stain on the other. I had my wife and my two kids and all I had was two towels for all four of us so I went to the desk to ask for two more and the guy behind the counter ask me what happened to the rest of my towels. As my kids were playing on the floor they got up and there was dog hair all over them and I do not have any dogs so it was poorly cleaned.

I went here because it was cheap. If push came to shove I'd do it again, but it was absolutely pathetic. Dust balls everywhere. Weird crumbly wall-decay debris on the floor. They didn't even leave me with a full roll of toilet paper. I extended my stay by an extra night and they charged more MORE than the going rate online. I said "hey, it's cheaper online! " and they just told me "no it isn't" despite the fact that anyone when can go online and see (face palm). The took my "don't bother me" thing after two days and came in anyway. The decided to take my toothbrush off the towel I left it on and put it face down on the counter. Thanks genius. It's really cheap… and that's what you get.

I would give this place 0 stars if it allowed. Initially when we got there it smelled funky but I could deal with that since we were literally just going to sleep, however… I just left my hotel room at 5:00 am because my boyfriend heard a scuffling noise on the floor, and there were mice running around, along with mice poop all over the floor and table. I was sick to my stomach! Not only this but the receptionist said there was no manager and that we couldn't get our money back because we stayed there too long, SERIOUSLY?! You'd be better off sleeping in your car than this place!

Updated rooms. Very clean. Friendly staff. Lots of establishments around, even within walking distance. Best rate ever.

The rooms are small with no carpeting. The bed I slept on was way too soft for me. It was also pretty small for a double bed. No in room coffee, fridge, or microwave are provided. Parking lot is not well lit. Plumbing needs the drains cleared. Also there is 1 110 volt outlet available so bring a powerstrip if you need to charge multiple devices. Overall the place looks randown.

I wish I could like this place because I so appreciate a pet friendly motel. However, our room had not been cleaned and the A/C barely worked. My need for pet friendly, affordable motels is greater than my discomfort in this room but it would have been nice to have a clean shower and not have someone else's hairballs all over the room. No soap but housekeeping had kindly left their cleaning supplies for me. Get what you pay for I guess.

The room was clean and spacious. It was very hot when we first arrived and the air conditioning took several hours to really kick in, but after it did we were quite comfortable. Best Motel 6 I have ever stayed in, by far.

Room was OK, front desk lady was rude and everything else was just ok… Get what you pay for.

I stay here often for work and it's one of the cleanest Motel 6's I've stayed in. Recently renovated.

Stopped at 3am to get some rest on our long drive. Desk clerk seemed disinterested in wanting to do job of checking us in. Gave us a first floor room, which at first seemed nice until we tried to enter it and the key card wouldn't work, went back to front desk, he still seemed annoyed and mumbled a comment I must of magnetically disabled the card. Reprogrammed the card this time it worked, walked into the room and it had this awful overwhelming smell like cat urine. Only had one hand towel, went back to the desk and got towels from still annoyed desk clerk. Only slept for two to three hours, due to smell and didn't bother using towels, because who knows if they were clean.

If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. The Indian/Hindu man is very cranky and disrespectful. I get to my room and pull back the blanket and the sheet has pretty large spots of blood on it. I take the sheets and pillow cases off the bed go down stairs and the Hindi older guy tells me it's not blood, it is food and I must have did it "because the cleaning staff is not blind. " This guy should not be at the front desk or customer service of anything! Very rude! This is the worst motel I have ever stayed at. Lastly, the motel does not have an elevator!

Decent room, clean hard wood floors which is good because I generally avoid pet friendly hotels, comfortable bed. The hotel is quiet don't let the outside appearance chase you way the room has no clock but a nice bed and flat screen TV for $35 you can't beat that.

The motel location and the outside appearance being just plan made me wonder but once inside it was fine. The room was great and the front desk clerk were very helpful. Thank You.

A year ago I checked in and tried to stay here. The first room was dirty and had hair in the bed. The second room they put me in had roaches crawling on the chairs and table. It had bugs in the bed and the mattress had a big hole torn out of the corner. I told Motel 6 corporate, no response. I LEFT WITH A REFUND! The lady at the desk blamed the _________ (a specific race of people) for the roaches and bed bugs. I couldn't believe my ears. . Oh yea, Bruff's is next door, the only thing worse than their food, is their service. I had a ribeye, it smelled like it was grilled in an outhouse. Good luck.

Saturday 5/21, an F3 tornado destroyed the town of Reading, about 20 minutes away. Our family home was in its path. We stayed Sunday 5/22 after a day of work and grief. We explained our situation to the Manager — who seemed to understand and was trying to be very helpful. On Monday 5/23, though, after another day of cleaning after the tornado, we were locked out of our room, unable to use a bathroom, take a shower, or lay down to rest. Because we hadn't paid an extra day yet, our room keys were changed with our stuff left inside. We were furious and disgusted by the lack of tact and respect provided by the Manager on site. He refused to talk to his Asst. Manager who we had to talked to before, stating "She has already left, pay now. " Rude. Disrespectful. Unapologetic. We will likely not go back to another Motel 6 again.

It's a motel 6 and I'm somewhat snobby about my hotels since I'm in them 3 nights a week working. I typically stay in very nice hotels. But this trip was on my own dime and I wasn't planning to do anything but sleep there. This motel 6 is just fine. It's older as you'd expect and not fancy by any means. But the front desk was friendly, the rooms are are clean, water is warm and the heat works, as well as free internet. It honestly exceeded my expectations for $38 a night that's why I give it 5 stars. I'll be staying here again next time I'm in emporia. Also it's next door to bruffs which is a great place to get a burger and have a beer.
