The Rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful! Pool and hot tub well-maintained as well! We will back! Been coming here since 1996.

5 star Pet Friendly. Awesome staff. Affordable rooms. My hubby and I stayed for 6 days. Location is close to downtown. We will be staying here again in the future.

The rooms were really cute the one that we got with a little dinette set was really amazing I highly recommend staying here plus they're the cheapest in town.

We come here 3 to 4 times a year, the staff in s always awesome.

Staff was very friendly and the location was great. If you had a car it was a super easy and short drive to downtown. The Inn had continental breakfast and a pool. It is definitely an older motel, but overall a good experience.

Such a nice little place! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a little outdated. The staff here is extremely nice! Clean room! Basic amenities. Great location and close to shops. Would definitely stay here again!

Standard motel setup. Location is awesome, rooms were clean. Pool was nice if not heated but was mitigated via the hot tub. Also, they let us check in early which was awesome. Lastly, the breakfast was pretty awesome. Better then most.

It needs updating but it is clean and reasonable. Definitely needs more plugs for the electronics we all have.

Picked it because it was the cheapest rate on short notice ($100/night for a Friday night). The window in the bathroom and over the sink was broken, there were no towels, the only toilet paper was a 1/4 of a roll we found behind the toilet on the floor, the TV didn't work, the walls/ceiling between rooms were incredibly thin, and the door didn't lock securely. We listened to our neighbors all night long (their TV still worked… loudly) and, as the doors locked on the door knob, woke to people slamming doors to lock them as they left. The advertised breakfast didn't start until 8am, so that wasn't an option for anyone trying to catch the ferry right away. I would not choose to stay there again and wish I had not stayed there in the first place.

The rooms were pretty nice and it's located close enough to the action that you won't need a car. The pool is open until 10 or 11pm and the hot tub is big enough for a family. The staff was really nice and answered all of our questions. I took a star away because the breakfast was wah-wah…

The rooms are probably closer to 2 stars, but the setting, staff give it an extra one. The beds aren't too comfy and I'm looking forward to slipping into my own tonight.

Cute little motel. No frills and basic but clean with all the standard amenities and the rooms are a pretty decent size. Plentiful parking, pet friendly and excellent location. There is a lovely little pool setup and they do offer a simple breakfast. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Good value and will likely be back next time we pass through town.

Nice area with decent views. Had a large suite with small kitchen and jacuzzi tub. Staff was very friendly and hospitable.

Nice basic motel. Met our needs of a place to unwind, sleep and clean up. Flat screen TV with large channel selection. Included light breakfast with muffins, bagels, etc. Will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Port Townsend.

Very nice retreat. Feels like I am far away, and able to think. Not a resort. Breakfast is cold, but don't come here for haute cuisine. Come to connect to a world long gone, of sailing ships, and green hills. Tired of Wi-Fi driven life?

Sort of feels like an old 90s motel. They have a pool and spa which is nice, but that attracts loud kids. It was fairly easy to hear upstairs neighbors. Worker was nice and the mini completely breakfast was nice.

Yes this motel is cheap during the winter, but I would pass it by. Bed terrible, bathroom sink has a dribble of water when you turn the faucet on. Black mold on wall by sink. Maybe the top floor would be better?

Very old bottom floors rooms. Cinder block walls and thin worn out carpet in the rooms. The shower and bathroom are very small. No way any person over 5' 7" could use the stand alone shower. No elevators and sketchy people loitering in the parking. Front desk lady was very helpful. She worked to get us a refund when my kids were too afraid to stay. The pool is indoors but located in the parking lot and requires an outside walk to and from your room. The upper floor is newer but decided against staying there overnight.

It was our anniversary and the staff was so accommodating. Our room was affordable and romantic. We are so happy we went!

I would not recommend this place at all! Bathroom floors were sticky. Had to pull bed out to get an outlet that would hold the phone charger; would fall out of all the others. Sheets didn't look clean… Hair, black spots, particles. Thermostat was either on or off, no actual temp control. No security latch on the door. Shower curtain had hair, mildew on it. Breakfast is LAME… No hot food. Curtain barely closed… Hook falling off on the end of it. Internet was good, however I was close to the office where the router was… Not setup professionally. Office staff was nice.

Although in a central location in Port Townsend Washington, the hotel has some drawbacks. One, the rooms on the first floor are also pet rooms if you pay an extra fee. As a result, there is a bit of a pet smell. Very mild, but still evident. Two, sounds from the upstairs rooms carry very effectively into the downstairs rooms. We were awoken at 1 a. M. To the sounds of people walking around upstairs. Three, the layout of the hotel makes it so that sounds from the guests walking by the doors to the rooms echo into the rooms. This makes every single guest who checks in after you've gone to bed loud and noticeable. Now for the good parts. The pool in the hot tub were nice. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast, although a little limited, was nice. The coffee was really good. Although the room had a bit of a pet smell, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Value compared to other lodging in Port Townsend on a Saturday night was reasonable.

Rooms are clean and decent. Nothing special but not bad. Nice pool and hot tub. Good price. Would stay here again.

You might have little choice where to find accommodations if you are visiting Port Townsend, but I would give this place a pass if at all possible. The rooms are dark, dingy, and have rock hard beds. Most are only large enough to accommodate a queen size bed and a twin bed opposed to two queens.

Surprisingly better than I was expecting. Clean, quiet, and had a nice indoor pool for my little one. Complimentary continental breakfast (bagels, juice, cereal, coffee, muffins). Nice staff. Rooms are dated but have all that you need (comfortable bed, chair, table, storage, tv, mini fridge, microwave). A good night's sleep. I would stay here again if I was going the motel route.

My husband and I booked this hotel online, we had motorbike problems and wanted to cancel our reservation. We contacted the hotel and were told “our manager won’t cancel the reservation as it was non refundable”. I asked that the manager contact us but he couldn’t be bothered! Luckily we were able to keep our reservation so we didn’t loose out. This hotel is REALLY old and outdated don’t even consider staying here! Go across the street to the Tides Inn, we stopped in to enquire about their rates — half of the cost of the Port Townsend Inn and they are right on the water, and even cheaper with AAA.

I have never stayed at a 1960's era motel that thought so well of itself. There have been no renovations to the room we were in ever. We booked 2 months out and still got stuck with a handicap access bathroom that the wife didn't even feel comfortable taking a shower in. The microwave is sitting on the floor no air conditioning at well over 100 bucks they should be ashamed. The staff is nice though.

The hotel staff was very friendly and nice, the room was clean but smelled very damp. We opened the windows for about an hour to clear it out. The pool and hot tub look big in the photos, but they are actually VERY small and only fit a few people. When more than 8 people are in the pool/hot tub area, it is unpleasant. We were on the first floor and ALL NIGHT LONG could hear the people above us with kids as if they were IN our room. The walls seem very thin because we could also hear the guys next to us who were up drinking til 3am. Breakfast the next morning wasn't anything special, but it got the job done. Just basically bagels, toast, cereal and juice. All in all, it was an average hotel and for the price you really can't complain.

Took my teens on a spring break trip and Port Townsend was our last stop. We loved our room! Plenty of space. Do recommend adding a bright strip on the steps into the room. For the price, everything was great!

Check in went wail however the rooms were freezing cold and it took a long time to warm up. First nite there they forgot clean one of the rooms and we had to hunt the down for extra blankets and pillows. Our second room did not even get clean a the both watch had to being extra linen so that my daughter could clean it up. Not happy with that.

Mary, who was heading the front desk, was very accommodating and nice. However, the room we stayed in needed a deeper cleaning, and there was a small window by the door with no curtain, through which the headlights of those checking in would shine late at night. I believe this room on the first floor was one of the ones originally built in the 1950s. I heard some of the newer rooms were nicer. The location was convenient.

Bed was right up against window so it was cold and you heard all the people walking outside. Do not even think about sleeping past 8am here. We had to use our sleeping bag from the car to fight off the draft. Staff were pleasant; the rooms were dated but clean. I will never return.

The pool was nice, the room could use some improvements. No air conditioning so it was awfully hot. The fan they have us was broken. People were rude and loud all night so we kept getting woke up.

For the price it was wonderful! The gal at the desk was sweet and accommodating. The room was very clean and warmed up quickly. We could not hear any of the other guests and the view was better tha I expected. We did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked nice. The breakfast was what you would expect. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family. We had kids with us and it was a perfect fit.

Room was fairly clean and well maintained. The pool/hot tub was nice, as were the staff. No fan in the bathroom, limited Wi-Fi/no in room Ethernet. Overall my stay was pleasant, but the price we paid was higher than I would like for the amenities/room condition.

I had to cancel my reservation 24 hours prior to my arrival due to a medical emergency and they still charged me. I understand policies but this was wrong on many levels. I guess they need the $89 and don't care about their "customers" I would not stay here if it were free. In a town that is proud of their humanity and peace signs… I sure got a different impression from these money hungry merchants.

Rooms were very clean, loved the little coffee pot. Customer service was phenomenal, nicest front desk experience I've had in awhile. Continental breakfast had a really small selection and I would have liked a healthier spread, but at least they had one. All said, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Port Townsend!

Called to ask a price on a room for our honey moon. Not only was the desk person very friendly he told us he could get us a better rate than online but he booked us a king size jacuzzi room for next to nothing. When we sized the same front desk guy remembered us and gave us great advice on where to go in portownsend. So the room was huge. And perfectly laid out for the time we were there. Biggest jacuzzi I've seen in a hotel for the price. Kitchen, big screen tv, bar, couch 2 recliners. Amazing. And a walk in closet with a mirror. Every girls needs. Bonus we had a view of the water. Thank you so much. We will be back and recommend it to others. Ps our room was incredibly clean.

I dont know what everybody is freaking out about. I slept like a baby at this place. We went up for the boat festival. Actually called everywhere in town and everybody was booked up. I called this place just for kicks and Steven told me he thought he may have a cancellation shortly and he called back very promptly to let me know there was availability. I booked it but was very nervous about staying since all of the terrible reviews. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The blinds were not dirty like everybody said, they infact were new and clean. The sheets, the cover and the pillows were all very nice. The hotel is obviously dated, and there's some things you just can't update easily on a dated building. But the whole thing was totally fine. We did pay 159$ for a 2br for a night which is kinda expensive, but being there was a huge festival and everything was booked up, it was worth it. The location was great, short walk to downtown parking was super easy. Either my room (room 26) was the only one cleaned, or all these people reviewing it prior to me are so high class they can't stay anywhere but a ritz carlton. Steven and Jason both were great and super nice at the office. Breakfast was also good. Bagels, muffins, cereal, good coffee, OJ and some danish. Oh yeah, and Wi-Fi worked great!

ZERO STARS! Check out the pics I uploaded of this place to truly put into your mind the dirtiness, the Venetian blinds and the screen in the bathroom haven't been cleaned and I destroyed one of their wash cloths giving them a wipe, there's an old soap dispenser in the shower that's totally empty except for mildew and mold, the hair dryer was clogged with dust and hair, the sheets had multiple stains, the coffee maker had old coffee build up on the bottom of the basket to the point that we were uncomfortable using it, I didn't even feel comfortable enough to set my toothbrush on the counter. Unfortunately we booked for two nights and they have a 48 hour cancellation policy so even after bringing up these issues with the polite staff, we were unable to cancel our second night and we have to stay here again. At 160 a night this is the worst hotel deal I've ever gotten. Plus they hold 150 for a deposit. There is no shampoo, only conditioner packets and little soap bars and the empty shower dispenser that the front desk said they dont have refills for. Oh yea and the breakfast is all uncooked. Stale bagels and cereal. I ACTUALLY FEEL RIPPED OFF, but I'm tryin to not let this ruin my weekend. Don't stay here! UPDATE: room service cleaned the room quite well while we were gone for the day. New sheets had no stains, window shade had been wiped and the dirty useless soap dispenser had been removed from the shower. We never tried the hot tub or pool because it was overcrowded.

Worst hotel ever met. Lived here for 2 days at a visit program, not suggested. The room was very very hot and there are no AC at alllllll! No morning cleaning, no cooked breakfast. BTW, there's a Mcdonald's near by within 10 minutes walk.

Clerks were friendly, night were not very personable, but they were helpful. Morning time clerk was warm and friendly. You get what you pay for here, it's prob'ly the cheapest, for the location, you're going to find. It was clean, well lighted, and the breakfast is about right for the walking you should be doing thru-out the day. As for the smell, welcome to the peninsula, if it's not tide flats it's pulp mills (sometimes both) don't blame the innkeepers for the industry. Having been away for 10 yrs it was kind of welcome, if you're not from 'round here, don't freak out.

Both rooms smelly. Both rooms only 2 pillows which were limp and substandard. First room had to be replaced with no hot water in the shower. Staff argued with me about that. Replacement room was 20 dollars less but no refund was offered. Replacement room had no cable which had to be repaired. Rooms had heat completely off upon entry, count on an hour to heat up if its cold out. No tissues in room. Beds were OK except for the poor pillows. Breakfast is not great — cramped area next to front desk. Hotel is way overpriced — a 60 dollar place priced at 120. Better hotels in town for a little more.

Worst hotel ever! Not only was the king room freezing (45F) when we arrived, with NO hot water the entire stay, but check this: they found pet hairs in our room (we have pets but didn't bring them) and they tried to charge us 50$ for having a pet in the room. After telling them no animals were ever in our room, the "manager" still argued with me! We argued for 30 min. I even showed him my back seat and luggage to prove the SMALL amount of hair probably came from there. If it was even ours. He didn't care. The manager. Unacceptable. Avoid at all costs. Zero stars.

Very rude owners! We traveled 5 hours and was treated horrible when we arrived. I will NEVER stay here or recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here a year ago and the place was very run down, antiquated, and generally not very comfortable/clean feeling. We chose this hotel because of the pool, and the pool is nice, so I will give credit for that. We were back in PT this past week, once again, looking for a place with a pool and read new reviews on the TripAdvisor for this place. I was hopeful things would be better, but they were not! (I think the new owners wrote great reviews to boost their ratings) Mold along the bathroom tub, cracked tile, old dilapidated toilet seat, very strong paint smell, bad bedding, continental breakfast food poor, and not enough space to even eat it in. Maybe if the price was 69 or 79 bucks for the night it might be OK, 140.00 NO WAY! My husband and I both noticed that this place seems to attract drunkards and seedy clientele. Last time we were in the pool area, a homeless looking woman was using the hot tub! I told my husband I am never staying there again, he agreed. Kids will just have to do without a pool.

This was my second time at this Inn and I've noticed much improvement in the overall quality of the place. Front desk staff told me that much renovation was done recently (including new beds and fresh paints). The motel is situated close to the small downtown area and has a good view. They offer basic continental breakfast and staff was very pleasant. Our room was very clean and we had no complaints. Definitely worth a stay.

The Port Townsend Inn is a nice motel — clean and relatively close to town (about a 7 minute walk). The staff was nice, the breakfast was standard carbo fare but if you're in a hurry it's fine. Our room was clean, spacious and well kept. It didn't smell like old smoke which many older motels do. They do take dogs and were great about us having our two not-small dogs there. I would recommend it.

Rooms are nothing special. The motel is old, but has obviously undergone some renovation in the past few years. The showers in some rooms have been replaced. The beds all seem to have new mattresses and are quite comfortable. I also noticed new carpeting in both rooms that I have stayed in. The heat worked in one room but not in the other. They provided a portable heater instead. TV in both rooms was fairly new and quite adequate. In-room phones were not working, and I had the impression that's a permanentcondition. But who doesn't have a cell these days? Location is great. Walking distance to shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Overall not bad. Think upgraded motor lodge and you will have the right idea.
