Loved it, nice pool and Jacuzzi. Rooms are large considering each one had two queen beds.

The room was a little dated but it was clean and well taken care of. The location was our favorite part as it was right in the middle of downtown so we could walk everywhere. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Sun Valley!

Very nice staff. Got a refurbished room initially, but the AC made a racket. So we moved to another room right out of 1985. Bummer. The shared Jacuzzi outdoor was also set at a whopping 91 degrees, so tough to enjoy that too. Come on, guys…

I'm not super picky when it comes to staying somewhere. That said, this place was awesome. The beds were very comfortable. The room was super clean. The staff was very helpful. The lodge itself is close to everything! I'd definitely stay here again.

Location is great but room is dated and we had no hot water and the front desk was rude about dealing with the situation.

I was very surprised to see the lodge doesn't look like it does in its website. Thought we had a room with a fire place it's a metal box attached to a brick wall. The sofa was dirty and smelled actually entire room smelled first few hours. The room was very old outdated, and the flies were constantly some how getting into the room. On a positive note we did have a beautiful view of the ski slopes. Please do visit Ketchum gorgeous community with a lot of awesome restaurants.

We payed an outrageous amount for a suite here and it was 2 star hotel room status. Everything was dated, the carpet was really worn and dirty looking, the counters were scratched and scraped, and we were overall very disappointed with the quality of the "Fireplace Suite". The service was good, the view was nice, and it was very conveniently located, but it was not even close to worth what we paid. It's decent for a random night you really need to just rest your head but don't think you will be staying in an actual "suite". In our opinion, this room was NOT at all a 3 star hotel.

Feels like home! So love the week that my sister-in-law and I have spent here for the last 2 years. Our privacy has been respected and our room has been welcoming and clean when we return from our daily treks around town. If this next year is kind to us, we'll be back next year!

Definitely an old ski motel. Could use some internal painting. We requested a ground floor room and were told we had one. Then, when we checked in they informed us their ground floor rooms were actually up a "few" stairs. More like 7-8. Not good for a person with knee and feet problems.

We love this place! Dog friendly and hot tub are a huge plus for us… and the location rocks! The staff is also great, we've stayed here 3 times and don't intend to stay elsewhere.

My fiancé and I stayed at the lodge. We found the lodge online, and thought it looked amazing. However, the pictures are deceiving. They make the rooms and the place itself look a lot newer than it actually is. However, the room was plenty big enough (King with fireplace), all appliances worked, and it was clean. The hot tub and pool were also a bonus… the hot tub is one reason we picked the lodge! There is no breakfast included, which I was bummed about… but that's not a deal breaker. We also dealt with two different employees & both were very welcoming and polite. Overall, it wasn't as fancy as we expected, but it met our needs and I think it was worth the price.

I booked a room at this hotel weeks in advance for our anniversary, specifically asking for a room with a balcony and a view. Being off season, I did not think this would be a problem. When we arrived we were told the only room available with a balcony was facing the alley, and it was on the first floor, so that was our view. There were a total of 6 cars in both parking lots, they were nowhere close to being full. We could not open our blinds the entire weekend because of people constantly walking past our room. Horrible. The pool and hot tub were both closed, I was never informed they would not be available. Our room was never cleaned during our two day stay. The staff was polite, but did not respond to any of our reasonable requests. Very disappointing.

Hands down the very worst hotel I have ever stayed in… and that I paid over $100 for the pleasure is assinine. Room stank … a disgusting combination of cigarette smoke and filth… paper thin wallls where I could here EVERYTHING for hours. Every entrance and exit… and every bodily function. This is seriously horrific. The room is TINY! I would like to know what rooms are decent size. Its now 3am and it is so horrible I havent slept at all. I will be leaving with my non refundable 2nd night paid. There is no way I would stay here again. Motel 6. I would rather be.

I stayed at the Tamarack Lodge 3/10 & 3/11/2016 while visiting Sun Valley Resort. This place has a lot to offer but also has a lot of problems. Lets start with the good, The Tamarack is conveniently located downtown. There is a Starbucks close by and the free ski shuttle stops right outside. There is a sporting goods store right next door if you need any gear. They also rent bikes. The hot tub is nice and outdoor which I love. The building has nice bones, the rooms are large and they have a nice balconey. Now lets look at the bad. This hotel is in poor condition and not being maintained well. The faucet dripped loudly into the metal sink. Every hinge in this place squeaks. The patio door was difficult to open and squealed loudly along its track. The pool needs to be resurfaced there are large chunks of the surface breaking off or missing. Our neighbors constantly complained about me speaking in my normal voice because the walls have no insulation. The rooms are large but lack furniture. The furniture in the rooms is old worn out and does not match. Who ever owns this property is just wringing the money out of it. But most of all the greatest disappointment was the STAFF. We arrived late and followed the instructions for late check in. Our room was supposed to have 2 beds and a pull out couch. It had 1 king bed with no couch for 3 adults. When we contacted the front desk again they acted like we were bothering them and offered no help what so ever.

Good location and price. They've done some nice updating of the room but there is more needed. Had wood stove on a brick hearth. My husband tripped on the bricks in the middle of the night and split his big toe open and tore the nail off his punky toe. The guy at the front desk replied, "Oh — okay" when I told him at checkout. Just a bit nonchalant wouldn't you say? Never mind an apology! Not sure we would stay there again.

My sister and I were on a road trip. We had been driving a very long time that day. This place is located smack dab in the middle of town. Kiddy corner from the best bar in town. A Shower, 2 big beds, cool cotton sheets and we were out like a light. Nice size rooms, big windows, nice courtyard, nice staff, we were thrilled that they had a room available. You can walk everywhere from this location and they have reserved parking for the motel. I would recommend a reservation, we lucked out. Ended up staying a couple of days. Not cheap but worth every penny I think.

I've come to Ketchum several times, and each time I stay at the Tamarack Lodge. I love that I can walk to all of the restaurants, coffee shops and other hot spots around town. This winter I took advantage of the free snow shoe rentals and hiked up Adams Gulch several times. Each room I've stayed in has been big and spacious at awesome low prices. Great hotel ~ Great rates.
