The hot tub is just a 4 person personal hot tub. The AC did not work properly. Very rude staff at the front desk. Will probably not be back.

My wife and I stayed at FairBridge Inn & Suites because it was the least expensive lodging option near Sandpoint. What a mistake. The toothless guy sitting outside the front door in the injection-molded plastic chair smoking a joint should have been the first indication of what we were in for at Fairbridge. Look, others have said it. The place is dirty. Fix it.

From the outside of the building, to the inside of the room this place is in need of major maintaince and cleaning. Probably cheaper to remodel the whole place. I've stayed at 59 dollar hotels that were better maintained and clean. I won't be back.

I am writing this email regarding an extremely upsetting issue I am currently having with the management of the FairBridge Inn and Suites in Sandpoint Idaho. On May 28th I created a reservation online for your hotel (where I had never been before) for one night. After driving that day for 5 hours we arrived and checked in. We were told at check in, by the front desk staff, that this was the last room available. After entering the room and looking around I noticed how dirty it was — the bathroom, the TV stand, the nightstand, the carpet, the phone, the remote — I would like to emphasis that I have stayed in hotels around the world, and have never been checked into such a poorly cleaned room filled with OTHER PEOPLES HAIR AND URINE IN THE WASHROOM. I went to the front desk and was told again that this was the only room available. She apologized, saying that she didn’t know “how clean the rooms are” because she was just front desk staff. I said it was fine, that I would find somewhere else, but that I required a note from the hotel for a refund. I received such letter and have attached it to this email. I then had to get back into the car after already driving all day and find another hotel. When I followed up with the hotel regarding processing the refund, I was told by the manger, Joyce Baker that that was not hotel policy. After I explained that I lived out of the country and would not be returning to Idaho, she would “look into it and get back to me in a couple days.

Nice average clean hotel. There are definitely better in the area but not at quite the price. If you don't care about having a pool or really new room, this is a good option.

Nice hotel but the pool was freezing many people were complaining but did not raise the temperature.

This hotel is very quaint and has a home feeling. With log made furniture it has a rustic look. Employees seem to always be pleasant, and the housekeepers mindful of most guests. Decently priced, and serves a hot breakfast in the morning. I recommend this place to most of my traveling friends.

Rooms are big and beds are nice, but the bathroom is a little janky. The hot tub is pretty sketch. Surprisingly the breakfast was pretty bomb.

Room was very comfortable and affordable. Wi-Fi was spotty, but minor complaint. Location was very convenient to where I needed to be for work. Staff friendly and laid-back.

Room is nice and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be staying here whenever we come back to visit family.

Nice comfy beds and pillows. Love the look for the room. The hand soap was even lovely. Breakfast was just ok and the hot tub wasn't that hot unfortunately.

Small inn near Schweitzer. Had a 4 bed suite. Tidy, but missing a light bulb, no hair dryer, ect. Great for bunking with snowboard buddies, but not the spot if tour looking for a leisurely stay.

We booked online and they reserved us a room one bed short of what we asked for. The front counter lady with the big hair was extremely rude and decided to blame and yell at my wife when all she did was book the right reservation online. They were not accommodating and unwilling to help out. Lucky we always bring a spare blowup mattress. I wish that was all though. The room was filthy and had pee spots and hair in the bathroom. Never again, stay away. This place makes any other place look like a 5 star hotel.

This hotel was really great for the price. The woman at the front desk (Desiree) was very friendly and had all the information we needed. The room itself was clean and put together. There was a mini fridge and a microwave, which is not something I was expecting for a 72 dollar hotel room. The breakfast in the morning was free and as a vegan I was able to have a filling breakfast. There were baked goods, bread, oatmeal, waffles, juices, cereal, coffee and milk. The only thing that I had any sort of problem with was the bathtub. When I was showering in the morning. The plastic tub would creak loudly as I shifted weight around. I would recommend this place for a quick stay, (we we're on our way to Banff) but probably not much more than that. There wasn't much room in the room, but that was perfect for us.

I wanted to say thank you to the young women at the counter. She has different shades of nail polish and is from Texas. She was very gracious and kind to me and my son. We had been driving a long time and her warm heart and kind gesture were a blessing to us. The room was great, clean and comfortable beds. I will always be a guest at the Fairbridge Inn.

Absolutely loved the country cabin feel! Very rustic and comfortable. Great breakfast variety and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again if we need a place in 100 mile radius of this place for the night. Willing to commute for this location. Would recommend for everyone I know. May not be suitable for prissy Preppy anti gun people though.

This place is very cute and affordable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to speak with a housekeeper named Donna who was very polite, friendly and professional. A good staff can really make for a great experience.

A little overly expensive, but it had clean rooms, friendly wait staff… Nice continental breakfast.

It was clean, and had free Wi-Fi so that's a bonus. The room was tiny, and the hot tub was broken (some jets didn't work, some lights didn't turn on) Front desk clerk was friendly. Overall it was a decent place to spend a night or two. Oh yes, and it's close to fast food & a well known coffee joint :)

Hallway had an air of assisted living facility, but the room itself was nice enough and smelled much better. Plenty of plug-in strips and Wi-Fi worked fine, though the credit card chip reader up front took twenty minutes to process. The fiberglass shower creaked with every step and the toilet was a dwarf, but there was a security pole in the window track so nobody could climb in, so — all in all — it was a place I could sit and sleep and shower in and that's roughly all I asked for.

The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, the wood furniture is nice. Hot shower, hot tub, and ski wax station (bring your own wax) amenities were all a plus for our trip to Schweitzer — the shuttle is only 5 minutes away. Short drive to downtown Sandpoint for food and drink. Overall, very satisfied!

Great value, clean rooms. Joyce the manager is very sweet. The other staff I ran into might need a little more kindness towards guests ie hellos, dressed cleaner. Grounds around the area could be picked up a little more. Overall a decent stay.

Staff doesn't answer the phones when you call from your room. I had to call from my personal cell phone. Not located in Sandpoint, it's located in Ponderay. Breakfast was okay, broken appliences so that left you with tiny apples, yogurt and toast. Ends at 9am which was a bummer. The room cleaner guy just would randomly come into your room every morning with or without your permission. There was no "do not disturb" sign. The shower floor creeks so loud it would wake up the dead. 3 other hotel guests had the same problem. The A. C unit half worked, in 100 degree weather it's kinda important. After informing the front desk lady 3 times maintenence still never came. The Wi-Fi absolutely sucked, hardly ever worked! They place a giant mirror by the window so when the sun shines in the morning you get blinded so we took ours down. Yes even with the curtains down. The rocks placed around the wood work in the front of the hotel were falling apart and busted. The 2 Bed queen room is the exact same size as the room with the 1 bed queen room. I did not use it but I did see the hotel hot tub is a outdoor hot tub placed in a tiny room. The room was clean, bed was super comfortable and staff was friendly just lazy. This is a great place just to sleep, nothing else. I loved the wood work!

This hotel is old and doesn't have an elevator. The bathroom wasn't cleaned well, and the room was hot and stuffy even with the cooler on. I wouldn't stay there again.

Really nice for the money! Very clean inside and out. One of the best places to stay on Hwy 2 route. We will be back.

Every time I am in Sandpoint, I stay at the GuestHouse. The prices are excellent, it is located just outside of the city of Sandpoint but close enough to shopping, food, and gas. The rooms are fairly small, but they are quite cozy. There is a free breakfast in the morning, but it ends at 9am (which means no sleeping-in if you want to partake). The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Another excellent amenity is that the hot tub is open 24 hours/day! All-in-all, still my favorite little spot to stay in Sandpoint.

I stay here every year and always enjoy my time here. The staff is friendly, helpful and thoughtful. They make you feel like it's "home away from home. " When you first enter, there is a sitting area with couches and a fireplace that is welcoming and cozy. The rooms are clean and inviting with the rustic furniture. The location is great with restaurants all around and if you forgot something, Walmart is around the corner. In the winter, the staff keeps the parking lot cleared of snow. Thank you GuestHouse.

The hotel is definitely a step above the rest of the economy hotels but about the same price. The room we were checked in to had a recliner chair and a refrigerator. The beds are extremely comfortable.

We have been coming to this hotel several times over the past year to shop Costco. The prices are great (quite low) and the staff is incredible. The breakfast is decent with waffles and the regular continental breakfast offerings.

Thank you for taking such good care of us, Joyce. We appreciate your maintenance man jumping our truck after the battery died. Your entire staff went above and beyond the call of duty. The coffee served all day is a nice touch.
