The breakfast was excellent. Bethany was very hospitable, with a beautiful and welcoming smile. She worked very hard to give us the best breakfast we have had at a Choice hotels property, which we appreciated. The room was also very nice and and a great value.

I felt we were in the twilight zone trying to find the reception hall. After that it was all 5 star. Clean, spacious room, quiet. Super hot breakfast included in the very reasonable room rate. And right across from the beautiful scenic walkway next to the scenic snake river wier. Highly recommended.

It was a very nice relaxing night… The next morning however was completely different. Went to get breakfast and they had a great spread! However when I told them I wanted to take my husband breakfast in bed. The gentleman there that asked me what room I was in, in order to get breakfast told me that I had to eat ot there in the dining hall and that I could not take it back to my room. Excuse me? My husband paid how much for this room and you are telling me no? Well that is ridiculous!

The price is commensurate with the accommodations. The location is perfect for quick access to the River Walk. Multiple restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast items have varied as I stayed more than once. The food was fresh and the eating area is a former restaurant. The beds are comfortable and the pillows were even better. The room was clean. It really is a great deal for the price and location. It is being updated slowly but it is not a hole in the wall like some reviewers seem to imply when they forget they were staying at an affordable hotel.

Pretty good. Nice service and rooms were well sized and clean. Had to take a star away because outside walkways were not well maintained. Could have been better.

The Rodeway Inn is always fine, not exceptional but not terrible. The breakfast in the morning was the standard hotel breakfast. Our room had a TV, mini-fridge, and microwave. The spa and sauna were excellent. The pool was closed, but I understand maintenance happens sometimes. The staff did their jobs well.

First to get the door open was duty. Then the bathroom is so small you have to keep the door open to go to the bathroom. Also you can not see the TV from one side of the bed. To top it off we was one the bottom floor and they got people in late. Noisy, loud, disrespective of others. Yet those who was sleeping got woke up by those ignorant people. It took calling 2 times plus other guest complaining to get it to stop. Would I stay again NEVER. Would I recommend this place NEVER.

Spacious rooms, hot tub open twenty four hours daily, and a wide range of hot breakfast items.

This place is filthy, cigarette butts and garbage all over the sidewalks. The carpet was so stain, I didn't want to walk on it. I know I should'nt complain over the $95 plus tax, they charged us, but come on how hard is it to have someone sweep and clean the carpets. The stucco of the building is peeling and falling off… this place is nasty we would have been better sleeping in our car.

This hotel is terrible! There was a diaper in the pool, there were people hanging laundry in front of there room, there was a guy spray painting his car in the parking lot. They also told me that they rent for weeks at a time. Some of the windows were cracked and held together with duct tape. This place is owned by Quality Inn and they should not associate themselves with it!

I enjoyed our experience here. The manager was really nice and the roo. S were clean!

This is a great hotel. The rooms are nice and large with fat beds and great staff.

Christy puts out a very good breakfast by 6 AM. She is very accommodating and pleasant to work with. Preston answered all of our questions on the phone when we called and gave us a very good rate.

Room was clean and comfortable, very good value for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent deal for riverfront room.

The hotel staff was very friendly and informative of the hotel services and the surrounding area. Upon checking in they informed us of a managers reception that evening which pretty much was a full dinner for us. They also provided a full hot breakfast the next morning. The hotel is situated right across the river and had a beautiful view of the Mormon Temple. The room was basic in its furniture. Upon moving one of the beds just a little we found that more attention needs to be on cleanliness.

Nice large rooms. Amazing river and LDS Temple views. Complementary breakfast AND dinner, saved us a bundle.

Great place to stay. Right next to Falls. The view is really amazing. Also their room is really neat and clean. The money we have for this place worth it. Also the breakfast is full of foods. Love this place. Really recommend it.

Have not stayed here my self. Just booked a hotel for one of my friends. Friendly service and nice place. The view of Falls is really great.

Stayed at the Rodeway inn in Idaho falls. There was a party upstairs above our room and people were throwing stuff off the second floor didn't get to sleep until between 1:30-2:00 am we called the front desk between 10:00-10:30 pm. Then we were awoken with no heat at 6:00 am when we called the front desk they told us to bad maintenance won't be in until 8:00 or 8:30. Never offered to us a different room and refused to refund because we paid with cash. They offered 10 percent off our next stay. They said that's the best they could do.

No upgrades since the 60's room ok, beds comfortable. Elevators down with more than 5 floors for guests. Too hard to carry luggage with no bell service. We try my best never to need this hotel again. Choice hotels typically have better standards than this.

We love it here! Nice (though older) hotel. Great prices. Breakfast and dinner included! And you can't beat the location, with the falls right across the street and all kinds of restaurants around. Love the spa and pool access, too. This is our second time here, and I'm sure we'll he staying again.

I have used this hotel hundreds of times in the last 10 years with my business any time I'm working in the area. But never again!
We had two rooms booked for the great eclipse a few weeks ago. We had reservations over a year in advance and had a perfect vacation planned. We even checked on our reservations every month just to make sure… But 1 week before, we called and they said they had to give our room away but had another one if we wanted to pay 8x the amount we originally paid.
Everyone one we talked to had a different reason why. But one employee had a conscience and told us that the reason why is because they put everything on hold and if someone is willing to pay more, they will gladly take the new one and get rid of the lowest price paid. And I've heard that many people have been experiencing this same scam.
They ruined a family vacation that had been planned for a year and a half. My company and I and anyone else I am in business with will never be using you again.

Very nice rooms, even though ours wasn't in the tower itself. I do wish there had been a small table or desk in the room like many hotels have. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was great, big and a good temperature. The complimentary breakfast was the best thing about our stay here. It was served in a large lounge area in the parking lot and had plenty of seating. There were plenty of choices, all very good. You can even have an omelette made to order. It was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was awesome. They had an omelette chef who made these amazing omelettes on demand. Our room had a beautiful view of the falls. Nice beds too.

It was awful Family Reunion in Idaho falls so many of us stayed here our rooms were never cleaned had to go get clean towels for the 3nights had to throw out our own trash the elevator broke took several hours to fix we had to walk up and down 7flights of stairs no phones worked in the rooms frigerator didn't work I would not recommend this place ever.

Good sized rooms. They re-did the parking lot and replaced all the mattresses while we were here, so they are keeping things maintained. Poorly ventilated bathroom means moldy caulk around the tub but otherwise the room was clean. Kids loved the outdoor pool. Continental breakfast needs more variety (no fresh fruit). Only one elevator works. It is small and takes forever when you call it. Hotel is right on the river with great views. Close to excellent restaurants.

Nice room, good rate, but it's advertised as a smoke free facility, and the maintenance guy is smoking by the pool, near our room's intake for air conditioning. Blecht!

Lobby looks nice and that is about the best part of the hotel. The swimming pool was at the hotel across the lot and the water was a little cloudy. Went back to the room to shower and had my son shower first, he took maybe a 10 min. Shower. I waited about 15 to 20 min. And went to take my shower. The water was warm long enough for me to get wet and start using soap. Then it got cold and never warmed up. Oh, had to call the front desk for soap to, because there was none in the room, also no shampoo, looking back I guess should feel lucky that we had towels. Went to bed and found a bug, human hair so obviously they had not changed the bedding. We got the room to watch the city fireworks and then not have to fight traffic. But for 175.00 I think I should have fought traffic. I wouldn't recommend that place to anyone. The stairwells were nasty as well.

Rooms in the tower are nice and roomy. Dont plan on eating breakfast as its not maintained. When they replenish the food if they do, no one-wipes tables. The waffle machine was gross. Help out side smoking with no intention of cleaning up the mess.

Positives: Hotel on the Falls offers an incredible view of Idaho Falls, has spacious rooms, and the friendliest hotel staff I've ever encountered. Breakfast is sufficient and the room itself is fairly modern. Negatives: while the hotel is smoke-free, our room recently housed a smoker (the odor was strong). The hotel itself is dated, but it has an Old-Florida feel (think Pier 66) : it's up to you whether to trade character for the franchise-style uniformity most other hotels offer. All in all, a good value.

Very nice hotel! We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and big, the beds are comfortable, the price is great and the continental breakfast is good with lots of choices. It is our go to hotel every time we visit Idaho Falls!

We were at Hotel on the Falls on one of their busiest weekends. We were put in a room that was not in the tower, and we had no idea this area was even part of their hotel. The room was not clean, there was no hot water, sheets were thread bare, pillows were flat, sink didnt drain, and the spiders were HUGE! If there was a single room anywhere to be had, we would have left. However, that being said, in a tough situation, when tempers were high, and the reception staff was being pummeled, Derek was professional, helpful, and accommodating. On our third night they moved us to the tower, and the room was much better, and again, Derek was there to help us. He was very nice and we appreciated his kindness and help during our stay. Thankfully, the staff was able to comp our stay, and made it ok. The hotel needs a major overhaul before we would stay there again, but the staff was ok, and we werent bitten by anything venomous.

The front desk was unfriendly, the water heater was broken and was promised to be fixed in a few hours and wasn't, it didn't feel nice and clean in the room or the bathroom, and the beds need new bedding. Could use a small table to eat if you bring food in. On a positive note, the rooms are also spacious and well-laid out with plenty of lighting.

Hotel room smelled like the ghost of 1000 farts. No Wi-Fi. Front desk would hang up if you called from your room.

It took 2 hours to try to check in. Had to go through 3 different rooms before I gave up on checking in and asked for a refund. One room had smashed microwave and plaster on the floor. Second room the key and lock did not work, had to go to the front desk 3 times to try to get the key to work. Third room the key still did not work and after 4 times of going to the front desk I asked for a refund. Hotel staff were very condescending and rude. While trying to check in the front desk clerk got in a fight with other guests (almost fist fight). Entry way and front desk area was very dirty. Room had plaster in the tub and on the floor. The bed had a leg missing so it did not lay flat and there was no TV.

Not bad hotel, big room, had balcony, couch, breakfast wasn't so good if u like to eat more in the morning, waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins.

Very good rooms for the price and location of the hotel. Your in walking distance to just about everything you need.

Bummed about price increase. We used to stay every year for mountain brew. Now their prices make it unreasonable.

In the context of slightly older low/no frills hotels this one was great. Staff were very accommodating (extra pillows, linens etc). Our room (and I am fairly certain all rooms are the same) are twice the size of your standard hotel and comfortably fit two queen beds and a full couch — everything in the room appeared fairly new. Nice TV with all the channels and many extras in the room (coffee, fridge, microwave etc) and breakfast included. Finally, and most importantly: my room was very clean and bed was comfortable.

The hair drier in my room did not work at all, and I was asking to borrow one from the front desk. A woman just simply said NO. NO spare hair drier, NO empty room, NO other way to help me solve the problem! She didn't try to help me, but just said NO! What an awful service.

Fun place to stay. Very unique. Staff was helpful. Room was clean and we slept great in the beds. Very comfortable. Ask for a room facing the falls if you can. Pool is outdoors, which was a bit too chilly when we visited. Fitness room is fine. Nothing great, but doable. Hot tub shares a space with the fitness room, so opened the doors to prevent overheating from the "sauna" effect it creates. Bring your own towel for the fitness room as well.

Hated it! Stayed here for one night. After driving approximately 12 hours, just wanted to lie down and go to sleep. Opened my room (277) and found my bed sheets full of dog hair. Went into the bathroom and the floors were dirty, bath tub was not clean at all. Went downstairs to complain about our room and the front desk woman told me that there is nothing she can do at the time, she gave me 3 "clean" sheets and said to talk to a manager in the morning. Next morning talked to manager and they could only deduct $25 off the original price. Never will I stay ever ever again in this hotel.

I loved going to the place, the room was just gorgeous and as soon as you step out on your balcony you'll see the beautiful waterfall and hear it all night long.

Great service, clean hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff. And a gorgeous view of the falls. I would stay here again without a doubt and would recommend this hotel to all. We had a wonderful experience.
