Horrible! I booked a room over a week ago and just now, within HOURS ON THE SAME DAY THAT I'M SUPPOSED TO CHECK IN… I get a call saying that THEY are canceling my reservation. They messed up and supposedly were swamped and the room I booked was given to someone else. They had no offer to fix the problem. They only assured me that the room had not yet been charged to my card. HOWEVER… if I had been the one to cancel my room the same day of check in, their site says they would have charged me full price for the room anyhow. But they can cancel on ME? and they just say Oh well… Sorry but you're out of luck. That is the WORST customer service! I don't think it'll let me give 0 stars, but just know I'm giving it NONE.

The motel room was basic but clean. It doesn't have some of the amenities of a more modern motel, but if you are looking for a clean place to sleep it's great. The guy at the counter was great too. I would definitely stay here again.

Simple place, low cost, comfy beds… Had a quiet stay and the help at the front desk was polite and pointed us to a good restaurant.

It is a good room at a great price, no frills such as a pool or breakfast, but quiet and a comfortable bed. Good for travelers.

Clean. Not fancy. Walls, doors thin. If u need a bed but a shower that will sometimes turn ice cold when otherwise hot, this is your place. They had really nice thin ice cubes. Best part. That's where the 3rd star came from.

Very friendly staff. The building is pretty old and you can hear bunch of noises from people. Our room door made bunch of squeaky noise that can probably be prevented by applying WD-40. But overall good value.

Clean! Affordable! And the friendliest couple I've met and I travel nation wide. We read the reviews before we stopped and was not disappointed. Servers heart all the way. Bed was supper comfortable and motel had homey environment.

I really liked this motel. Granted, it's an older model, but it was very well kept and the keepers were friendly. No breakfast, but perfect for someone who just needs to get some rest in the middle of a snow storm, or during a long trip. It's not flashy but the rooms are spacious. And the price is very affordable.

We loved it here. The service was exceptional. John and his wife were great, they went above and beyond any motel services I’ve ever experienced. Rooms were very clean and cozy. In fact the whole place was clean. If you stay here I recommend Ziggy’s for breakfast. Can’t beat the motel price or price for breakfast.

The managers are friendly and helpful. The place is old and the furniture a bit worn, but it's like going to Grandma's — it's old but comfortable, and for the price you can't really ask for much more. Wi-Fi is free and satellite TV provides a fair variety of shows. The day I stopped in the wind was gusting at about 45mph, so a couple of the TV channels kept losing signal (my favorite, of course! ) It was also freezing cold out and the rooms are heated by baseboard heat, so I was a bit wary that it would remain warm enough. However, the building is obviously well insulated, because even set at 60°, the room stayed very warm the entire night. It was also very quiet. My only issue was with the pillows — when I pulled them out from under the bedspread to use as a backrest, I discovered they were covered in hair and some kind of dirty smudge. Either they hadn't been changed, or the washing machine isn't industrial strength, or the bedspread was never washed and transferred the hair and dirt onto the pillows. I don't know and don't care. I brought in my own pillow and bedding and slept on top of the bedspread rather than risking being further grossed out. If I ever stay there again, I will be certain to check the bedding before accepting the room. The bathroom was impeccably clean, and the towels, though old, were plentiful and clean. This is definitely a no-frills motel, and the only one under $50, in all of southern Idaho.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to Oregon and rooms were clean but I left my medicine — — birth control there and came back 5 days later (and engaged) to see if they had it and they did. Very honest staff. Thank You Amber Inn Motel!

Great little place to rest up. Not the nicest hotel you will stay at but you get great value for the price. Staff was very kind and helpful.

This place is a gem. I've spent the past five months walking across America — — starting in Rhode Island and planning to finish in Oregon — — and I've stayed at my share of shady, rundown, awful motels along the way. You know the type — — they're in the middle of nowhere, the doors don't lock, people are fighting outside at all hours of the night, the lights don't work, outlets are falling out of the walls, there are cigarette burns in the bedding, the showers barely work, and so on. I always figured I was getting what I was paying for, which was t much. The Amber Inn is sorta in the middle of nowhere (especially when traveling on foot), but it's incredible. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are clean, modern, and, most importantly, reasonably priced. The people who run the motel are super friendly and accommodating. As a bonus, there's a restaurant right down the street (Ziggy's Cafe) that serves great food. If you're traveling through Bliss — — whether on foot or by car (like a normal person) — — stop at the Amber Inn for the night. It's an incredible room for a crazy reasonable price. Love this place!

Fantastic service and room rate! We arrived super late into the next morning and they graciously woke up and got us a room, despite needing to wake up in a few hours. The room has been updated, and was nice and clean. So thankful for there hospitality!

We must have gotten the overflow room. Only non-smoking room available after the eclipse and clearly not as well maintained as the ones in the photos. The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable, but no refrigerator or microwave, no nightstands at the bed (! ), worn dirty carpet, filthy bathtub (cleaned it ourselves with Windex and paper towels) and smells of cigarette smoke even though it's a non-smoking room. Don't believe the pretty river photos on the website. You need to drive several miles down Hwy 30 to see that. For half the price I might have expected this quality but this feels like we were gouged because of the eclipse.

The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful! The price is right, it's pet friendly, and the accommodations are nice enough. The beds were quite comfortable! A blissful stay in Bliss, ID.

It was cheap, our dogs could stay there, and there are smoking romance available. Very friendly service. It was a great place to stay for where we were going.

My wife and I had an awesome experience at this cute little motel. Our room was so nice and clean. We were very pleased and impressed. Dawn and John were so friendly and welcoming. We've decided this is our home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place to any and all who are looking to stay somewhere that is affordable and ran by some truly outstanding people!

Great place to stop! Cheap, clean, pet friendly and there is a great diner near-by. Staff is extremely friendly. Will stay here again when I come through.

Clean, affordable and a life saver. On a recent trip coming back to Portland, Oregon from Omaha, Nebraska my husband, my toddler and I found ourselves too exhausted to keep going. Neither of us felt safe continuing on and really didn't want to just pull over along the road. I called the inn shortly after 1am and a sweet, kind woman answered the phone. I almost started sobbing with relief when she told me they had a room and to come on over. We were there in a couple minutes and able to get checked in quickly. All three of us were able to get a couple hours of wonderful sleep. "Checking out" was simple as there are a number of key collection points throughout the building and we were on our way. I mean it 100% when I say this place probably saved our lives that night. Thank you.

Amazingly beyond my expectation for a motel. First of all its close to I 84, and the motel itself is very clean, great customer service even though we checked in at 1:30am, my room was big with 2 beds a small fridge, a microwave, and a working outdated TV, and working outdated AC. Loving the room very much and it's a plus because my room was non smoking which good for my two toddlers. The motel has 3 vending machines 1 machine for snacks and we machines for sodas. Our room is way better than a room I got at Travelodge hotel in the area close to Seattle, WA airport. I will definitely recommend this motel to anybody and everybody. By the way it's cheap I paid $47.00 something dollars for a night.
