Complete disaster. Did not clean room 2 times out of 7. First time went to front desk next morning and no apology. Then, it happened again. Came to our room one night and key did not work, had to get new ones. Room reeks of cigarette smoke. Toilet ran off and on whole time. One morning had to wait for employees to get out of way so we could have our breakfast, they ate all sausage. Was in swimming pool when inspector came and told them to fix a lot of things at pool. Will not be back.

After arriving at the hotel which was 2:25pm I was rudely told there were no rooms available because there were none clean. Now having a reservation I figured I know I'm early so just be patient. I came back in at 3:10pm still no rooms ready and by this time there are 7 other guests in line waiting. At 4:35 Antione (I hope this is the correct spelling of your name) finally got me a room and I want to say Thank You truly for turning my day around you are the best! Clarion do what you have to to keep him around because clearly no one else knows what customer service is. BTW the room was clean.

Hotel itself is pretty nice BUT any room that shares a wall with the central common space is subject to the whims of other guests’ party schedule. Huge customer service blunders. They allowed us to book a room they didn’t have, leaving one of us on a pull out couch. Called for sheets twice and they never came. Went to front desk and received 5 pillow cases instead. Eventually got what we needed to not be too miserable for the night, considering their “blankets” were actually just a thick sheets. Friendly staff, but maybe not the most helpful or competent.

Hotel was way better than I expected. Amazing stay for an amazing price. The staff was great and friendly as well. Will definitely be staying here again.

As a Travel agent, I would recommend this hotel only if you stay here for a night or two. When booking this hotel, I asked for 2 rooms either next to or across from each other. They gave us 2 rooms each on opposite sides, so we canceled one room for the first night. Spoke with the front desk and they fixed the situation. Below are the pros and cons Pros: Friendly staff Breakfast was cool Hallway smells awesome Cons: Room 117 had a damp smell, old frig and dirty windows Room 159 smell was better, windows inside n outside were dirty, under the bed was dirty, room had never been dusted, curtains were dirty and dusty. Hit or miss with a full size ironing board had to ask for a full size The ratings and reviews are false. They are not consistent. They have never vacuumed the room, not one vacuum was seen or heard. No Wi-Fi even though it seems as if it does. The sinks do seem to clog and slow to drain. Fitted sheets don't go on the bed completely. It's the simple things that can be done as far as cleaning and it will stop the complaints and increase the ratings. The room below is the king room 117

It's a pretty standard hotel that did it's job well enough. The lobby looks newly renovated and the staff are friendly. The location is close to the Oglethorpe Mall and a lot of other shops in the area.

This is a clean hotel with new decor. The lobby is like a high end hotel in the city of Atlanta, I was very surprised by my room. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. The front desk clerk was very nice also.

It was okay. The first room we were put in had a musky kind of mildew smell. They moved us to another room and it was fine. The fitted sheets on the bed do not fit properly on the beds in either room and it keeps coming undone. The pool is nice and the rooms are otherwise nice as long as you get one without a smell. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the price was pretty decent!

Just ok. Beds not the best for sleeping. Building a little dated. About 10 minutes from best places to visit. Lowest rate for moderate quality. Breakfast hot with variety. Staff friendly and cooperative.

I was at the Clarion Inn the week of 4\2 — 4\5, 2018. I was very unhappy with my stay infect I will not be staying there again. The room was very dirty. The bathroom had a ring in the toilet and around the tub was nasty. I was afraid to sleep in the bed. The manager was spoken to 3 times by my friend that was with me and nothing was done about the room. Note to others find somewhere else to stay when you visit Savannah.

First day on check in we were given a room which had not been clean. We were given another room which smelled heavy of cigarette smoke although it is a smoke free hotel. We just stayed in the back room and kept the door closed. Breakfast bar was good. Next day they did move us to another room which was much better.

2 1/2 stars would be more accurate. It is a nice enough hotel and for the money I suppose it's still a good deal. That being said — I stayed here for approximately 4 weeks while working in town. The building has been recently remodeled but it's obvious that it was built 25+ years ago. The shower in my room and the shower of another co-worker staying at the same location in a different room both leaked from somewhere near the faucet end onto the floor. For some reason there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so the water just sits there for about 12 hours until it finally evaporates. I only allow housekeeping to come in once a week to change sheets and towels… and more than once they did not change the sheets or towels… just folded up and rehung the wet towels. It's a cheaper place and in this situation you get what you pay for. Don't expect a 5 star Hyatt and you won't be disappointed.

Room had trash under beds and a candy wrapper within view. Reservation was for a room with a courtyard view balcony, and we actually got a balcony overlooking some empty beer cans behind the place instead. The pictures online of the room showed a nice jacuzzi style jet equipped bath tub with nice tile surrounding. What we got was a 20 year old tub that's been resurfaced. We made mention of maybe they gave us the wrong room, the night we got there as well as the day we left, didn't seem to care a bit, then without hesitation, went on to to other things. The breakfast offerings were typical continental type, but ran out of most items without replenishment about two hours before end of meal time. I witnessed an employee giving a wrapped up container to someone who must've been family or friends. Seemed a little shady. Wish I had pictures to add. Halls smelled like cigarette smoke, then in the morning, turned to weed smoke, despite supposed non smoking reservation. Will not be back. Not only to the location, but to any brand in their group.

Very nice. There was Coffee and a selection of teas in the lobby (I recommend the Earl grey and the mint chamomile — it was nice that they had both with and without caffeine. ) Breakfast was a really nice hot buffet with a waffle maker and selection of toppings. There was also bread for toast, bagels, and cereal and a little fridge with yogurt and two kinds of milk. The staff was very friendly, very welcoming. It looks better on the inside than on the outside. We didn't see an elevator but there probably is one. Ice machine was broken but we didn't need any. Room was clean and the shower was was hot.

Decent place to stay. Cleaning staff does not wear deodorant so I asked them not to come into my room, request which they cheerily acknowledged. Desk staff is nice.

The hotel is good service, the reason I stay there was because I was working away from home.

People, management and staff were very nice but the hotel itself needs an update. The housekeeping staff were fantastic, clean and friendly. There is only so much you can do with an old and antiquated building. Kudo's to the manager, he was everything good about southern hospitality. He should be at a 5 star hotel.

Late Posted… I stayed at the hotel for the weekend of September 22-24th, 2017. The customer service and room was out of sight. The room was nice and clean. Housekeeping services was excellent. After a good night rest, breakfast was served. Ms. Juanita and her staff had the BEST breakfast on time especially with those grits. The hotel staff on duty during my stay was the PERFECT model of CUSTOMER SERVICE in the hospitality field.

This hotel was attractive and clean as was our room. Conveniently located near historic downtown Savannah, but far enough out we didn't pay historic downtown prices. Also close to lots of stores, medical facilities and mall. Breakfast was included which is nice if you want to get up and go without searching for a place to eat. Would definitely stay here again. Internet service was good although we were unable to access it on the morning we were leaving. We were doing one last email check before checking out when we discovered our password no longer worked. We didn't bother inquiring about it since we were getting ready to leave. That is the only reason this hotel didn't get 5 stars.

The room/suite is amazing! Spacious, clean and a great price. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were friendly and informative! I will definitely stay here again and patronize Clarion in other cities. This location also has a mini bar in the lobby and hot coffee available.

This is a really good event space. It's just what I needed to hold the casting call. The place was clean, well prepared, and the staff was nice and professional. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Vey nice hotel. Room was awesome. Very spacious, and clean. Nice courtyard. Really nice breakfast set up. Everything you need. Near other restaurants, and minutes from historic district. With free shuttles. Will definitely be staying at clarion again.

From reservation confirmation to check-out, great experience! Awesome front desk staff during the morning and evening hours. This was my birthday vacation and I brought the family with me. The staff were patient with my special needs son. They made him feel comfortable to be there. Spacious and clean room. Pool was clean and sparkling. Well lit parking area. Awesome breakfast bar spread. From cereal to Belgian waffles! It has been 21 years since my first visit to Savannah. It will not be another 21 before I visit again. Upon my return I plan on staying at the same Clarion Inn & Suites. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Overall experience was great. The staff was awesome. The property is clean and well kept. Nice rooms for the price point with all the amenities you need to be comfortable. The hotel is dog friendly but the walls are thin so it can be disruptive. But overall, it was a nice stay and I will go back when I am in Savannah. **Note: For people who have problems walking… There is only 1 elevator and it is on the opposite corner from the lobby area so after you check in, you have to drive around or walk. And only 1 ice machine per floor and it is on the end next to the lobby… so if your room is closest to the elevator, you have to walk all the way around the hotel to the front of the building to get ice.

We only stayed one night, but it was a wonderful experience! The hotel was clean, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the cost was perfect. We will definitely stay again.

I have yet to experience any problems with this location. I stay here twice and sometimes 3 days a week and they treat me amazing. Jason, the new GM, is one of best in customer service. If you have any issues, he does not ask questions, he just fixes the problem. The rooms are always clean and the renovations look super nice! If you are looking for a place to stay and have a nice hot breakfast in the more for free! I most definitely this location.

HORRIBLE! I wish there was a way to post the pictures of the HUGE BUGS behind our nightstand beside the bed and thee bites all over our ankles! I wouldn't recommended this place to anyone. It smells horrible! The wall sockets are hanging out so you cojld possible die from am electrical fire in your sleep! They RAN OUT of clean towels (THIS IS A HOTEL RIGHT? )! We weren't able to bathe before we left for the evening. When we returned that night there were still no towels! I got up this morning and called for towels and they told me to come get them. When I explained that I couldn't because I had not been able to wash my face or anything they said they would send someone. They never showed. As I walked to get towels, the maintenance guy asked how I was doing and I explained bad. He questioned me as to why and went and got us towels. 45 minutes later housekeeping arrives with the towels I called up to the front desk for earlier this morning. At checkout I showed the desk clerk the pictures of the bugs and explained other frustrations and she said she couldn't discount my $446.66 room because the general manager Korrena wasn't there! Let's see how this plays out! Take bed bug spray and flea spray if you get stuck in that hell hole!

This hotel is very nice. The hotel receptionist was so cooperative in givibg directions and making sure we were comfortable. One of the room we received had dirty towels stacked on tbe towel. The other room was clean. I mentioned it to front desk they took care if it. The breakfast was wonderful. The people was serving was sweet except for one lady that got upset because people was asking for condiments. She began to fuss and say"I can't help it if stuff run out! " However, overall my stay was comfortable and satisfying.

Location was close to shopping, staff is friendly, cleanliness needs improvement, and breakfast was ok.

First, the upsides. It looks really nice from the outside, and the lobby is clean and upscale feeling. The rooms are quiet and the air conditioning worked great in our room on the first floor. The pool area is really nice and nicely landscaped as well! But closing the pool at 8pm when it was/is 90 degrees?! Are you kidding? The downsides… I hope you either like your room cleaned, or you like to get up at 7am — You can't sleep in and have room service, apparently. We enjoyed sleeping in on our time off — until the apparently extravagant time of 9am, and didn't get any room cleaning/service for three days. They would stop by once early in the morning, and if you dared tell them to come back later, this apparently means "better luck tomorrow, 'cause you lost your one shot at a clean room today". The toilet was not bolted to the floor, so taking a dump was like surfing on a one-legged stool on a surfboard. The handle didn't work on the toilet also — it wasn't even connected to the tank. Twisting the handle didn't do anything — as a matter of fact, you had to pull the handle out away from the tank to flush… It was like pulling the pin on a hand grenade. The breakfast was nice — hot fake eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles and cold cereal. What passes for coffee would be called tea anywhere else.

This hotel has an extremely friendly staff. The hotel is newly renovated. The value for the price is unbeatable. I always stay here when I'm in the Savannah area working.

This doesn't even deserve 1 star. This Hotel is the complete example of pathetic. I don't think it can get as bad as this hotel right here. The woman at the front office didn't even know where our room was and she said she'd been working at there for like a year now, are you literally that close-minded that you don't even know a single thing about your surroundings? This needs to be the first and last hotel job she ever works at. The elevator didn't even work, we went in there and tried to go to our floor and as the door closed we heard a huge bump coming from all around us like the elevator fell or something? Then the door opened and we were on the same floor, then as we tried to walk out the elevator door closed and nearly shut my hand in there. Then it opened and closed 2 more times after that then I finally made my escape. # 3 We got into our room and only one light worked and there were like 5 lamps. The bathroom sink had 3 bugs coming out of it and the bathtub had a black spider coming from the drain. The TV didn't even work, we had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work and even then it took an HOUR to turn back on. 6 The entire room smelt like piss, do maids even exist at this hotel? 7 When we tried to open the window, 7 Bugs ran out from the cracks as we proceeded to try to open up the window. 8 The snack machine stole six dollars from me after three tries of trying to get some Cheetos.

Nice rooms could do better with there customer service rooms clean and breakfast is good no jacuzzi fitness room small and not well ventilated pool clean and maintained over all if your money tight it's alright but not a first choice more like 3 choice oh yeah got a few roaches we killed one the first night haven seen any since.

This hotel was awesome form check in to check out. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was great. It was clean and fully stocked. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Also, the hot breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Savannah. Thanks Clarion for such a great stay!

When we first arrived the woman at the front desk was very polite so I thought our stay would be great. However, the hotel only has one elevator which really sucks and the hallways stunk with a bad smell. Our bathroom toilet wasn't clean and we found tons of hair on our sheets and bedding. We ended up asking for new sheets that same night and the next morning we took all the bedding off and requested everything be fresh. Housekeeping never gave us the right amount of towels needed which was very frustrating. There are no fans in the bathroom, so it remained stuffy and god forbid if you have to do anything other than pee; it will stink forever. We ended up buying incense at the dollar store. The best thing the hotel offered was the breakfast, but that's really about it. Oh and after our first night, we paid $130 for 3 nights which was wayyyyyy to much for this hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again!

This was my first and last time staying at this Clarion. I was surprised to find out this was one Rodeway Inn but now it makes sense. The hotel smelled in the hallway. My bathroom was dirty upon arrival. The tub had hair in the tub and on the soap dishes and mildew or mold in the shower. Also, I killed a cockroach in our room!

Nice room was kinda weird that most of the appliances were unplugged. Shower was ok the shower head they got doesn't deliver alot of water pressure. Other than that it's a good place to stay the night.

The reviews calling this a 1-2 star are out dated. They have remodeled and switched from a roadway to some other hotel franchise. Walking into the lobby there's a breakfast space on the left and the desk to your right. I was greeted by an enthusiastic employee (who's name I didn't catch). After some jokes and pleasantries, I was checked into a king sized room and was on my way. I circled the hotel to the room and upon entering I was shocked. The room is enormous, easily enough for room for 2 king sized beds and some more furniture. There's a flat screen, everything has been re-painted. The bed is made with fresh and new linens. There's a closed off walk out to the courtyard. The bathroom and tub are spacious and well lit. All outlets are new (snug), and work. The light fixtures and lamps are all new and work. This place is definitely worth the cost for what you get. I'll be coming again on my next venture in savannah.

I stayed here in October 2015. I was here a week. I loved how large my room was, and how comfy the bed was. Also the courtyard/pool area was beautiful! The staff was overly friendly, and I had a great stay. I came in a group that reserved 4 rooms, and I heard great things from all our group of 9 people.

They were very accommodating. The rooms were nice. It seemed as if the place had been renovated recently. They also set out breakfast early for some of us who were staying for the marathon. Was weary at first from earlier reviews, however this place has turned around for the better. Especially at the price.
