Reviews of Lucille's Mountain Top Inn & Spa 4*
We just returned from an amazing stay at Lucille's Mountain Inn. The place was just what we needed to get away and celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The room was immaculate, the food incredible, the views stunning. Everyone one was so nice and a special thanks to Alex for her personal attention and making us feel so comfortable and welcome. We will go back there for sure! Jeff & Tracy.
Best view in North Georgia. Spacious rooms with great views. Staff goes above and beyond. You wouldn’t be disappointed. I definitely give this place a 10.
Fantastic! We were here a full week. We had a different and always incredible breakfast every morning. The deserts were fantastic every night. Alex greeted us the first day and made us feel welcome from the start. Jake brought our breakfast every morning and was a very nice young man. They knew I wasn’t keen on bananas so they altered my breakfasts accordingly which was very nice. The views were spectacular. The room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot. Nice to have a fridge in the room too. We will be back!
My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway for our anniversary. This place did not disappoint. Secluded and tucked away. We stayed in the tree top suite and it was absolutely beautiful. The room was very clean and The staff was so friendly. The grounds were beautiful and the view was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. My husband booked us a couples massage at the spa which was just outside our room, that too was great. While Helen is just a short drive down the road, we enjoyed the peacefulness and relaxed atmosphere of Lucille's so much that we only left to get dinner and back. We will most certainly be back in the fall.
Our experience at Lucilles couldn’t have been any better. Where do I start? Firstly the views from Lucilles were stunning!. The inn was so cozy and clean, the landscaping and flowers all around the property were beautiful. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they definitely made us feel at home. Breakfast was amazing every morning, the creme brûlée French toast and vegetable quiche that we had were outstanding. Having a bath with a two way fireplace was honestly the best bath I’ve had in my life. I definitely did not want to leave the tranquility and peacefulness of this place. We will definitely be back to stay again,.
Great experience and will be back! Alex, one of the innkeepers, was absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was great and the whole environment is so relaxing. Spa services were also top notch.
Peaceful, quiet, and intimate. Awesome and friendly staff.
Great getaway. Spa and Inn were more than expected. Each detail was thought out to make the stay perfect.
Lucille’s is absolutely gorgeous and so serene! I loved the views and tranquility of this place. The food was unbelievably delicious we looked forward to breakfast and evening desserts! The staff there is very friendly and helpful.
I was wonderful! Excellent staff!
Great Breakfast and Desert!
Wonderful view! Great Spa!
Gorgeous views and great hospitality.
My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Lucille’s. It was the most relaxing serene vacation we have ever had. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were so good too! Jason the cook did a fabulous job as well as the staff who served it. Alex was the manager on site and she was great. She was friendly, helpful and so attentive to everyone’s needs. The first person we met was betty that checked us in. She got the whole trip started it great. Everyone was wonderful, even the landscaper Ro. And his wife, Amy who met as well. We will definitely return. The rooms were so clean with views out every window. The decks along the back of the inn had fabulous views of the mountains. We enjoyed our meals as well a lot of our times sitting out there. They also gave us written out suggestions for day trips to choose from. I can’t wait to go back!
Had a great massage by Paula Wheeler over Labor Day weekend… I can’t wait to come visit again… lovely atmosphere and smelled wonderful upon entering. Excellent customer service on the phone by Alex (? ) when I called to make an appointment.
My husband and I just had the best weekend celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary after a very tough year. I cannot say enough good things about our stay! From the beautiful views to the perfectly clean rooms, I was extremely impressed. The staff was so sweet and hospitable, and everything detail was completely thought out. My husband is currently in a boot due to a broken foot and the handicap accessible room and shower were lifesavers. It was worth every penny and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much!
We went to Lucille's for our Babymoon and cannot say enough great things! The staff was amazing, providing an exceptional breakfast and dessert each day. I have gluten and dairy sensitivities and they accommodated me with both of these. Our room was large, comfy, clean, and had an amazing view of the mountains. We spent a lot of our time relaxing in the room with our books and their movie collection or outside reading, hiking, and enjoying the views (pregnant and during a pandemic). We had a massage that was professional and relaxing as well. Helen, Clarkesville, and the little town of Sautee Nacoochee were all easily drivable for meals. Worth every penny, we hope to return someday!
Wonderful get-a-way close to home. Wonderful service and breakfast! Beautiful views.
Best facial/massage I've ever received. Staff is top quality and understand customer is priority!
Very nice place for a weekend getaway. The rooms were very nice and clean. Alex was very helpful and went out of her way to help us with what ever we needed.
My husband and I went for a quick 2 night stay. It was so nice from the minute we walked in. Alex was there working and was so friendly and helpful. We loved all the little places to sit around and enjoy each other. The sun rise was amazing! The breakfast and desserts were wonderful and something we looked forward to each day. It was so quiet and a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend!
We stayed for our 10th anniversary and had a wonderful time! Highly recommend! — с Josh Ballinger.
We have had such a relaxing time staying at Lucille‘s Mountain top Inn and spa. Enjoyed the breakfast which was more than ample and absolutely delicious. Everybody here is so caring and personable. The views are spectacular and the rooms are pristine and filled with amenities. It is quiet and peaceful here. In addition to daily breakfast, a dessert is available every evening as well and included in the price. This is truly a special experience!
This was our second stay and we’ve already booked our third. What’s not to love? The view is perfect, the staff is great, the spa is delightful, and breakfast and the desserts are always a treat.
We found this place online as a last resort when Lake Laniers Resort sold their last room before my husband could pay! We are so glad they did though. We found this little gem and decided to give it a go for our 18 year anniversary and to get away from the craziness that surrounded us for the last couple of weeks. It was just what we needed. It’s nestled in a beautiful secluded and serene area. The peace and quiet was rejuvenating. The food (breakfast) was to die for! And the evening desserts were so delicious and I looked forward to it! My husband treated us to a spa day at their spa. My body feels so good! From the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. Thank you Diana and Paula! Chuck and his wife (the owners) were so very kind and their three little dogs are absolutely precious. All of the staff were helpful and and willing to assist you. We didn’t see many people here! There’s only 13 rooms and there were no social nights due to the Covid. But that’s okay because we enjoyed it just the same. My favorite part is probably the swing on the back porch facing the mountains. I love a good swing outdoors! And top it off with beautiful Mountain View’s along with the morning sunrise My least favorite part was both nights between 10:30 — 12 midnight whoever was in the room above us — we could hear them walking, moving about and dropping stuff. Some times it was so loud it startled me out of my sleep. We stayed on the main floor in room 1.
Everything about our trip here was great! The Inn is beautiful and our room was clean and comfy with a great view. The breakfast and snacks were the best we’ve had anywhere. Totally worth the calories! The staff were super nice and the spa treatment was so relaxing. Going back soon!
Incredibly hospitable! They did everything they could, even during the current pandemic, to be respectful of social distancing, but still feel warm and inviting. We will definitely return!
We loved our 5-night stay and happily give it 5 stars. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival by Alex who gave us a tour and even helped carry our luggage upstairs! We saw her again the next couple of days and her service was superb. She also helped us arrange last minute massages at the spa when we ended up with a rainy day. We each believe that may have been the best massage we’ve ever had. Kudos to Paula who worked out the kinks in my husband neck and my poor tired feet! If you are in the area, make an effort to get by for a massage with Paula. Both Tamika and Flo attended to our every need in the breakfast room each morning and Chef Jason always checked to make sure I had enough since I don’t eat eggs. I enjoyed the lovely yogurt and fruit parfaits he prepared especially for me! We felt the amazing included gourmet breakfast and delicious nightly dessert as well as free bottles of water and soft drinks help offset any pricing issues. Lastly the owners Charlie & Chuck were warm and hospitable and struck the perfect balance between being attentive and but not intrusive. The Wi-Fi and internet were blazing fast, which we appreciated. We really can’t recommend Lucille’s Mountain Top Inn & Spa any higher!
I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast and I have to say this was the absolute best experience I could have had! I felt so comfortable and at home here with the beautiful amenities of the Garden Suite. The bath products, in room coffee and comfortable bed and beautiful Mountain View’s were absolutely top notch! The breakfast was as beautiful as it was good. Thank you to all the staff and especially Chuck and Charlie for making us feel at home with the best experience of the spa (Paula was one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever had! ) and bed and breakfast! We will see you again real soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the best places we’ve visited for our Anniversary! Five ⭐️ for sure and we Will be back!
Definitely choose a top floor next time though because people can be totally disrespectful for other people’s quiet time.
Lucille’s is truly a special place. The location… hiking, wineries and great food are close by. But you may just want to stay at the inn. The accommodations are lovely and the views breathtaking. The owners Charlie & Chuck make you feel at home. Lydia, Alex, Tamika, Spencer & the entire staff go out of their way to help and Jason’s breakfasts & evening snacks are amazing! You won’t be disappointed!
This is place is gorgeous, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was delicious & Alex, Flo, & Spencer were all incredibly helpful. I had such a good time I booked another stay on my second day there. Love it!
Great location, excellent and thoughtful staff, beautiful inn, and the views are fantastic.
We really enjoyed our visit! Beautiful rooms and views of the mountains, delicious food, wonderful amenities, friendly and thoughtful inn keepers. We will definitely be back to enjoy the peace and quiet of the North Georgia Mountains.
My husband and I stayed at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was amazing. So relaxing and quiet. The owners and staff were so helpful and thoughtful. The breakfast was amazing each morning. We also had spa treatments as part of our package and it was one of the most relaxing spa treatments I have ever had. We will definitely return.
Beautiful location. Peaceful & quiet. Spent Labor Day weekend here & cannot say enough great things about this jewel. The staff & owner were wonderful, awesome breakfast, beautiful gardens, gorgeous sunsets. Stayed in room 2 with French doors opening onto the wrap around porch. It was just heaven! ♥️
Lucille’s is a true gem. From the views on the deck to rooms, the spa and common spaces… everything is top notch. To top it all off, the owners and staff are friendly, professional and courteous. Lastly, you must appreciate the breakfast each morning and dessert each night. It’s the right way to start and end your day.
This was our first time at this resort and it was fabulous! The breakfasts were delicious and the desserts were fantastic, not to mention the views! We look forward to visiting here again… maybe in the fall to see the leaves change!
Beautiful views, gracious hosts, scrumptious breakfast and desserts, serene — a perfect mountain get away.
My hubby and I went to this amazing B &B for our 40th Anniversary! It was all we expected and then some! Very well run, impeccably clean and the service was on point. The beautiful breakfasts were delicious and served by the sweetest girl-Samantha! The late night sweets provided were awesome! We definitely will be going back and we highly recommend if you’re going to be in the area — ck then out!
Lucille's is beautiful! We got married there 7/4/2010 and are planning on returning soon! The entire property was amazing but especially the views! Breakfast was delicious each morning as well! Close to town but you get to enjoy the mountain views! Highly recommend Lucille's!
I took my boyfriend for his 30th birthday. Lucille’s was the perfect getaway from Atlanta. The breakfasts were delicious and sophisticated. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous view of the valley. The owners come around during breakfast and have a personal conversation with each and every guest. Although we didn’t utilize the fabulous spa we had a list of activities in nearby towns! We went to one of the many vineyards nearby and walked through the town of Helen. Each night we came back to Lucille’s we had a delicious dessert waiting for us! We plan to come back many times and can’t wait to be back! Do yourself a favor and check out Lucille’s!
Five Stars for Lucille's Mountain Top Inn & Spa! Lucille's has superb facilities, excellent service and breathtaking views that have left us with the much needed rest and restoration we needed. Chef Jason's first class gourmet breakfast of ricotta pancakes with a fresh lemon curd, garden boiled eggs, turkey sausage and warm banana bread, was icing on the cake to a perfect 24 hour get away. Having planned our visit last minute, we feel blessed that we were worked into Lucille's spa schedule and catered to with genuine sincerity. Thankful for Lucille's hospitality and looking forward to a seasonal return.
This B&B located in the North Georgia mountains is a hidden gem, high a top it's steep driveway the views are amazing. One of the owners (Chuck) will great you at your gourmet breakfast and chat with you about your plans, if you need anything and is always available. The staff is extremely accommodating, and for us that meant the world as my fiance is a paraplegic. The room met all of our needs, was gorgeous and the road trips they suggested we're spot on for us. Thank you! We will be back!
We were looking for a badly needed weekend getaway spot that wasn't too far from Atlanta and stumbled upon Lucille's. After reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The Inn is beautiful! Our room was spacious but felt cozy. Huge bathroom and spotlessly clean. The Inn's common areas are inviting and warm. We loved having breakfast on the deck and enjoying the gorgeous view. The setting is incredibly peaceful and relaxing, which is exactly what we were needing and wanting. The breakfasts were AMAZING! The creme brulee french toast was so delicious! Oh my goodness! The next day we enjoyed incredible ricotta pancakes with the most delicious lemon curd… and those were just the first courses! Second course each day was an egg dish, delicious banana bread one day and lemon muffin the second day, with local sausage both days. The desserts put out at 6:00 pm each day were sooooo good! Worth every calorie! We enjoyed meeting Chuck and Charlie and hearing the "story" of the inn. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Clearly, they really care that you have a wonderful experience! We felt that in every interaction. We feel like we stumbled upon a hidden gem — so close to home that it's an easy getaway after a busy work week — but in such a peaceful, beautiful spot that you really feel like you got away. I haven't felt this rested and refreshed on a Monday morning in a long time!
Breath-taking views. Accommodating staff. Delicious menus and friendly atmosphere. Lovely gardens and waterfalls. A perfect get-away — far enough away from Helen to be a solace from the business-close enough to allow easy access.
Lucille’s is an absolutely AMAZING place to stay! The owners treat you like family. The breakfast is delicious; it’s two courses and they accommodate dietary needs. The Inn is very peaceful and the grounds are gorgeous. Even though this is located in a small town, there is PLENTY to do! We also booked a couple’s massage at Lucille’s Spa and were NOT disappointed. We really loved it there and will return.
Lucille's was just what the doctor ordered. My wife and I were able to get away for a weekend and stayed in the Mountain Suite. What a gorgeous place. Incredible service. So relaxing. Breakfast was fantastic every morning and being so close to Helen, there is no shortage of things to do. We will certainly be back as soon as we can!
We stayed in the Mountain Top Suite (I think), and I highly recommend it! The room was fantastic… it has a wonderful tub and an outdoor shower. The breakfast served daily is amazing! We had a wonderful time at this location and will definitely be back!
Totally a paradise! The view is spectacular, the staffs are so friendly, breakfast is always delicious, the dessert is also delish, the place is so quiet & relaxing and the room is so comfy! We will be back here for sure. The location is just perfect only 4 miles from Helen, Ga the alpine city of Ga! There is a lot of nature’s wonder this place can offer! Just the waterfalls, hiking and vineyards alone will fill up ur schedule! So if you are a nature lover, love sight seeing, hiking and love wine! This is ur paradise! And ohhh, the local restaurants are all exquisite Just totally feel inlove in this place.
Amazing room with a view! Lucille's is like no other luxury Inn or B&B. We were on our anniversary and they made us feel like we the only ones staying there. We decided to go mid — week for just one night. We stayed in one of the most beautiful rooms Bed was so comfortable that we wished we could have stayed longer. The room was perfect with jetted tub, fireplace and the mountain view, wow. The breakfast was 1st class taste and appearance. The Spa next doors is something we heard other guests raving about! They took care every little want or need. The anniversary card and chocolates on our bed. Thank You so much for making our stay memorable! Looking forward to seeing everyone again very soon.
Great place. Amazing rooms. Chuck abd Charlie set the bar for all other lodging in the area.
We didn't get to stay at the inn, this time, but we enjoyed a wonderful morning at the spa! It was so relaxing and after we got to enjoy some chocolate covered strawberries on the deck. Will definitely be come back here!
My friend and I stayed here this past weekend and we were treated so kindly. The spa staff was a little unprofessional but we enjoyed our spa services! The breakfast was amazing. We also had a small issue with our room and Lucille's fixed the issue immediately. Great experience, worth the price, would recommend for others to stay here.
We only stayed one night, but it was really awesome. The entire staff was friendly, and willing to give us recommendations for whatever we wanted to do. The room had a great view. Outside on the deck is just breathtaking. You can just relax and enjoy your stay or go out and do some hiking like us! We also did a couples spa and it was well worth it. We will be going back here in the future and staying longer next time. Oh, and if you are a foodie you will love the breakfast!
I wish I could give a 6 star review, but it won't let me. Chuck and Charlie were amazing hosts and our breakfast was out-of-this-world for both days. I really wish I could have gotten the recipe for the strawberry French toast! This was our first Venture into a bed-and-breakfast, but it will definitely not be our last.
Has to be my favorite get away. My husband and I go for our anniversary. The best breakfast and amazing evening deserts! The spa is awesome and the staff super friendly.
We always love our stay at this cozy Bn b. I highly recommend the mountain sweet that is off of the spa, very nice! Don't forget the breakfast, its 2 courses of deliciousness!
We just arrived home from our weekend get away at Lucille's. I cannot brag enough on the facility, staff and all around atmosphere. We arrived late to the facility and they made special arrangements for us by leaving instructions on the front desk on where our room was located. Even arriving late at night we had desert waiting on us in the eating area. The coffee served was phenomenal. Breakfast was great every morning. The service provided by all staff and owners was above the norm. We had a very unpleasant experience at a very large chain hotel in the smokies a few months ago and this experience was quite the opposite. We were given excellent recommendations on where to eat several times and treated like we were something special every time someone had any interaction with us. We said several times while we were there, "this is worth every penny spent". We appreciate good service and highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a peaceful get away. We will definitely be back!
I had my wedding at Lucilles. Their attention to detail left me in awe! The staff went over and beyond catering to our every need. They thought of things that even with months of planning we forgot! The relaxing ambiance and delicious food will keep us coming back for years! Breakfast and dessert are made fresh and served daily! Soooo delicious. I can’t wait to return for anniversary trips. The views are breathtaking.
I stayed in the mountain view room with floor to ceiling panoramic windows — it was spectacular! Views of the Appalachian mountains surrounding us daily was breathtaking! Also loved the daily whirlpool bath after our daily hikes. The spa right next door was wonderful also.
Enjoyed the gourmet daily breakfasts! We always stay in bed and breakfast because it's enough food for both breakfast and lunch so you are only paying to go out to dinner. Also it's so great to come back at night for their homemade desserts!
Shhhhhh lets keep this our little secret… What a GEM of a find in the mts of north Ga… I just returned from a visit to Lucilles and I can share with you what a beautiful, first class Inn this is… From the moment we walked through the door we were treated like first class … Spencer the Inn keeper was amazing. Chuck and Charlie the owners were on property and very helpful with daily ideas on visiting there mts. The rooms were extremely clean and very very comfortable… The food amazing… I can't say enough about this Inn and Spa… best massage Ive had in many years… best sleep as well… But lets keep this our little secret so I can return over and over again :) GREAT place to Visit and Stay… little piece of heaven! Thanks Chuck and Charlie… Job well done.
I can't recommend Lucille's enough! My wife and I are expecting are first child, so I decided to plan a "babymoon" for the two of us to enjoy. Having no frame of reference, I began the deep dive into Google reviews and stumbled upon Lucille's. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere and the staff blew us away! Everything was first class and we were completely put at ease. The food — absolutely dynamite. Not only were the breakfasts delicious but the desserts were just as good. We were not steered wrong by the recommendations for local restaurants either. We enjoyed couples massages at the spa and agree that it's a can't miss experience as well. We stayed in the Mountain View Suite and loved the amenities. Highly, highly, highly recommend Lucille's and all it has to offer. We hope to be back for another celebration in the future.
My wife and I have stayed there twice. Great facility, excellent rooms and delicious food. Awesome scenery from each room.
My husband and I just got back home from celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa. Hurricane Irma knocked out their power at the beginning of the week and was still out when we arrived on Friday, September 15th. We were warned ahead of time that the showers would be cold but that we would be given a "cold shower" discount if we wanted to keep our reservations. They ran a generator to support the kitchen and any essentials needed to keep the Inn running and even hooked up a TV in the living room if someone just needed to watch a TV (however, with those beautiful mountain views, who needs a TV? ). This made our second visit to Lucille's and, other than the invigorating showers — which I didn't think was too bad, this visit was just as wonderful as our first. The chef/chefs did not skip a beat on the breakfasts or homemade evening desserts. They used a headlamp for light in order to prepare and cook the breakfasts… some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth! The owner's were wonderful and concerned that everyone had what they needed to enjoy their stay. They gave each room a battery operated lantern and a small flashlight to maneuver around the inn with. They also had battery operated "candles" all around the interior rooms of the inn which, to me, made it very romantic.
We enjoyed our stay at Lucille's immensely. Wonderful accommodations, cozy and comfortable … just our 'style'! We were there through the afternoon of the eclipse and what a glorious event it was. On the outside deck we felt like we had the best view in the whole state of GA for that, as the distant mountains gave a breathtaking look at the approaching lunar shadow until the total eclipse came — — wow! Our hats off to all the staff, always available and constantly going above and beyond to assist us, especially for the delicious food while taking time to help our dietary needs. They were a delight, we felt like family the whole time! What a fantastic and memorable 2 day rest stop with a solar eclipse to boot at the end … NO doubt we will return!
Great experience! The room was very clean, the food was great, and the view was worth the trip alone. I would highly recommend Lucille's to anyone looking for a quite and peaceful trip away.
A great get away. Loved the view. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommended.
This place is mine and my wife's favorite places to go. The rooms, staff, experience is like none other. If you are thinking of going stop looking for a better experience and book your room now. 5 stars don't do this place Justice. Looking forward to are next stay in November. We have been here many times. Even loved it so much I proposed to my wife here. And the staff called in a favor to a local florist to have flowers delivered to are room after hours. That's the attention to detail this place gives.
We loved our stay in the Mountain Suite! Every detail blew us away! The suite itself was spectacular w an outdoor shower, breathing views, the BEST robes & linens, etc! THEN the breakfasts, holy moly delicious. I have a gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to accommodate it. We can not wait to go back; was the best hotel we've ever been too!
This little place on the top of the hill is absolutely amazing! The views are incredible and their staff members are so friendly! Their hospitality is so refreshing! My husband treated me for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was so relaxing, a great place to get away for the weekend! And I can't say enough about the chef and his delicious menu! The best breakfast I've ever eaten! The evening desserts were a wonderful little treat. We truly enjoyed our stay, from the gorgeous mountaintop views, the swing on the back deck to watch the sunset to the outdoor shower and jacuzzi tub everything was wonderful!
My dream wedding location! We had our wedding here last weekend and it was such an unforgettable experience. Our guests LOVED their stay, loved the food, and loved getting pampered at the spa. I can't say enough about Chuck and Charlie and how great they were during the wedding planning process. We will for sure be back for our anniversary!
If you are looking for a BEAUTIFUL and quiet Bed & Breakfast in the mountains of Georgia my husband and I would HIGHLY recommend Lucille's. We love children and family life, but it was so good to go away just the TWO of us and be completely looked after by the staff and owners personal touch along the way. About 15 mins away from the B&B there are many many nice things to discover as well. It was a personal and private experience for us and we will def be back soon.
We wanted a little get away to celebrate our 31st anniversary and found Lucille's. This was a fabulous getaway, it just didn't last long enough. Enjoyed a couples massage the second day there and it was great. The breakfast was always beautifully presented, served by caring staff, and delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lucille's! I find myself in north Georgia a few times a year for the past 9 or so years, and only discovered Lucille's a few months ago. We had to book our room several weeks in advance because it's in such high demand. Now I see why. The location is great. It's just outside Helen — a touristy spot everyone should visit once or twice — but not *in* Helen. Sautee Nacoochee is also nearby. Anyway, on to the view… The view at Lucille's is great from sunrise to sunset. From the back porch and backyard, you have an unobstructed view of miles of rolling hills. There's no shortage of places to sit and take it all in. The grounds were also very well maintained. Inside was well decorated, but not over the top, and our room was very nice. Next time, we'll stay on the 2nd floor, as the windows are bigger than in the 3rd floor rooms. Our bed was comfortable and they had King sized pillows! I hate those "European" half-pillows that so many hotels are using now. Our breakfasts were very good, bordering on too fancy for my pallette. I really liked that they had enough seating for all of the guest both indoor and outdoor. Finally, the staff is great. Spencer, in particular, was extremely friendly and hardworking. I imagine that if they had a full-year employee of the month plaque somewhere, his name would be up there several times. We'll be back!
Celebrated anniversary here with my wife over the weekend. Great staff! Wonderful food! Lovely accommodations! We stayed in room 8. It was nice and roomy and perfect for our needs. Thanks to Spencer and Meagan for being so attentive to our stay. We enjoyed eating out at Habersham Harvest which was outstanding, Bernie's and the Thai restaurant 55 Spice in Helen. We also enjoyed our couple's spa package which was very relaxing. If you like to hike, there are tons of trails. We especially enjoyed Raven Cliff Falls and Dukes Creek. If you are up for a workout, Mt. Yonah is a nice hike with a great view at the top. We look forward to returning again in the future!
My wife and I love Lucille's. We go annually for our anniversary. The owners, Charlie and Chuck, are running a top notch B&B. It's the little things that really stand out and they are really on them. Every detail about Lucille's spells relaxation. The rooms are impeccable and the views are truly breathtaking. Every time we go, we also meet other great people. I leave this place fully recharged and ready to take on the hustle again. This is not a place for children, not even sure if they are allowed.
This experience has been amazing! The breakfast is to die for, as is the free dessert every night. The room is very well kept, extremely clean and the staff is the friendliest (& most knowledgeable about surrounding areas) I've encountered. We are spending our honeymoon here and we are so glad we chose Lucille's! The views are breathtaking. We had an adorable bride and groom rubber ducky waiting for us and a "Mr and Mrs" pillow set on our bed with two chocolates and a hand-written note congratulating us on our marriage. They definitely care about their guests and bed and breakfast. There is an assortment of coffee and tea available 24 hours and a mini fridge with complimentary sodas and water in the common area. We would 100% recommend Lucille's and will be a customer for life.
My friend and I stayed here at the beginning of April for the first time and we will be back! We did a weekend escape package. I've had many massages in many different places I've traveled and this was the very best massage I've ever had in my life. The food is just incredible. Breakfast consisted of creme brulee french toast, baked oatmeal, almond bread, local sausage… and tje dessert treats at night were just sinful. The staff (including the owners) were approachable, friendly and really enhanced our wonderful experience. As I said, we will be back. And if the price might make you pause, this place is worth every penny. And they're upgrading their rooms currently and we can't wait to see them on our next visit.
I was trying to plan my wedding there and scheduled to meet with their wedding planner a month in advance. The day before our arrival the wedding planner had quit. No big deal, things happen and I understand that. We went to the meeting the next day and were welcomed by the owner who very nice but very unprepared for the meeting. Again, we overlooked that. The place was beautiful and we loved it. Despite the fact that we had no contract and there was no organization what soever to what was going to happen on our big day, we decided to trust the owner and go with the place for our wedding. When we called to make the deposit no one there knew who we were or what we were calling about and acted as if they did not want to take our deposit for the wedding to hold the date. Once they finally took the deposit, I tried numerous times to get in touch with the owner to touch base about everything and get a contract in writing about everything we discussed and get a few questions answered and he completely dodged my calls. The last time I called the receptionist, a girl by the name of Kirstie, answered and was extremely rude and unprofessional to me took my name and number. She proceeded to yell at me about "policies and contracts" which was what I was trying to call about in the first place. She wouldn't even listen to me long enough to know what I was calling about or let me speak.
My friend and I went up to Helen for a girls weekend and unfortunately all the rooms were booked, but we did get into the spa and were able to spend some time walking around the property and I have to say that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a spa. All of the staff was amazing, they took excellent care of us, the owner came out to visit with us and make sure we had everything we needed, the grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept. I could literally go on and on about how impressed I was. If you are looking for a place to completely relax and press the reset button, you should consider coming here.
Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is just beautiful. The pictures are accurate but don't do it justice. The scenery is breathtaking. The Innkeepers are so friendly and make you feel like you're old friends. The Inn is so warm and inviting. The rooms are beautiful. Our mountain view room was comfortable, impeccable, and decorated beautifully. The jacuzzi tub was so nice! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and had an amazing time! I can't wait to come back for the Fall Foliage! Special thanks to Dana, Heather, Tanya and Chuck and Charlie for making our stay unforgettable!
What a remarkable place. It was so peaceful, restful and rejuvenating. The best weekend we've had. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The accomodations are first class, and the overall feeling of the mountain top is wonderful. We will be back.
I would be surprised if these folks got anything less than stellar reviews from anyone who visits their property. Clean, buildings and grounds well kept, efficient and friendly staff. The views are quite pleasing and the surroundings peaceful. We were treated to a glimpse of a fox pup that wandered up to within a few feet of the deck where we were having breakfast. Plenty of personnel to take care of your needs, as opposed to one or two people trying to do it all, as we have seen at some B&B's. The owners and all staff were concerned with pleasing the guests as their primary goal. The rooms are situated to afford adequate privacy, nicely appointed and furnished. We would go back. We did not utilize the spa services, but based upon the impression that we had, I would bet those services are of high quality, also.
Our recent visit to Lucille's was our second, and will not be our last. The staff is welcoming, and really goes out of their way to make you feel at home and insure that you have everything you need for your stay. They provided great suggestions for activities, dining and sightseeing. The room was immaculate and exceptionally well appointed. The real life experience actually exceeded the visual representations on the web site. The gourmet breakfast prior to check out was a wonderful bonus.
My daughter and I have now stayed at the inn 2 times. Both have been pure perfection! We had had an unpleasant stay at an inn in Asheville, and felt we needed to stay at Lucille's to "recover" from our bad experience. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the rooms, the food, the staff, the spa, and just the feeling we get when we are their guests. Lucille's is one of our most favorite places to stay.
This was our first experience with a B&B, and Lucille's delivered! It was a most enjoyable experience and a beautiful property.
Just got home from a wonderful trip to the Sautee Valley and could not wait to give high reviews to the people at Lucille's. The experience from the time we arrived and were great by the pleasant, friendly staff until the time we left was exceptional. The pictures on the website are exactly what you will get — — from the accommodations to the view! The gourmet breakfast was just that and we felt spoiled by all the attention. Can't say enough good things. We will definitely go back.
My wife and I had our wedding ceremony here back in September and was above and beyond what we ever thought we could have for a perfect ceremony. From the beautiful mountaintop setting, the luxurious rooms and honeymoon suite, the genuine and helpful staff and delicious daily breakfasts, this is a place everyone needs to visit. It's a few minutes from downtown Helen, GA and you feel like you're thousands of miles away from anywhere. Lucille's was a big hit with all of our wedding guests, and many have planned their next trip here. Book this place now! You won't regret it.
We were looking for a little getaway before my husband started his new job. So I did some research and found Lucille's, I noticed that it was a five star and the pictures of the area was breathtaking. So we booked our stay, a couple of days before our stay we were contacted and asked if we would mind being upgraded, because they needed our room for a larger party. We accepted, on the day of arrival we were greeted as if we had been there before. The staff is wonderful and will accommodate any request for food allergy's. The views are just like the pictures and better. The deserts that they make for the evening are great and you can always have coffee, tea and soda all day, It was a very relaxing time, we are planning to go back in January for our birthdays and just sit around and do nothing. You can sit on the patio for hours and look at the spectacular views. I would suggest this place to anyone that wanted to go to Helen GA. Thank you Lucille's for the most wonderful stay that we have had at any other B and B.
My wife and I came here for our "Baby Moon". It was our last chance to travel before the baby came. Excellent place to stay! Views are fantastic and the staff is very friendly and professional. Best place for a quiet getaway. Food was amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Lucille's is absolute perfection. The owners have done a wonderful job! Accommodations are comfortable and cozy, and breakfast is absolutely amazing! The views are not too shabby either (: Thank you.
I have stayed at Lucille's numerous times — — most recently for a girls' weekend but also for romantic anniversary and weekends with friends. There is always one common factor — — we have a wonderful time and love the Inn! This is truly heaven on earth — — the views are spectacular, the food is fantastic (the kitchen always has something yummy for my gluten-free, nut-free diet) and the staff are amazing. Jim and Jerry are the consummate hosts and we always love the team — — Kristie, Edward, Matt, Jason (he moved but we hope he comes home soon) and all the others. I recommend visiting Lucille's any time of the year for any reason — — or for the best reason of all, to get away for awhile and relax.

From the beautiful mountain views to the relaxing spa and the exceptional service, everything at Lucille’s is amazing! We stayed at the inn along with our bridal party for our wedding in May and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the whole weekend. The rooms & suites are BEAUTIFUL (and super clean) and the entire staff is so friendly & helpful, especially Alex! We started off with massages at the spa, they were phenomenal and we felt so relaxed going into the weekend. The inn is also close to the north GA vineyards which was a plus. We enjoyed every minute at Lucille’s and can’t wait to go back! Thank you to the entire team for taking such great care of us!
