Letter Below sent to Choice Hotels International To whom this letter finds: I am sending this in regards to my stay at one of your establishments: Quality Inn & Suites Decatur — Atlanta East 5300 Snapfinger Park Drive, Decatur, GA, 30035, US Which was by far my worst experience at a hotel that I have ever spent the night in. I will also include photos to add validity to the words. The problems started from the time we opened the door, we were hit with smoke in the air, even though we booked a non-smoking room through Orbitz. We thought nothing of it, we went down stairs and let the front desk attendant know of the situation, we were then greeted with “Well when you book 3rd party that is what happens. “ We then showed were even through the 3rd party it states non-smoking room and we she told us “oh well we are full so there is nothing we can do. ” We immediately started looking for another place to stay, unfortunately everywhere worth staying was booked due to some conventions and family reunions so we were stuck. So we decided to make the best of our situation thinking how could it get any worse? We were in for a shock. As we started to settle in we noticed that there were burn marks throughout the room and holes all over the room and hotel. The phone in the room was disgusting, sticky to the touch. There towel rack in the bathroom was hanging off the wall and there was a huge hole above the shower curtain rail. We went and purchased Renuzit to spray the room down with and air fresheners to try and mask the smell. There were cameras throughout the hotel, including the hallways but they were for nothing since every night we came back there were people laying in the hallways that had to stepped over. This is not an experience that I should have to pay for.
