Where do I start? I'll start with the 2 positives: the staff was friendly and the curtains in the room have a second layer that blocks light in the corner. Now, on the rest. I was never informed that there was going to be renovations happening. I am on the third floor and the half of the floor that I am on is undergoing construction. Why is this half even open? I work third shift and sleep during the day. Although the staff offered to move my room, it wouldn't matter because the renovation is still audible. Had I known ahead of time I would've chosen another hotel. The rooms are SO outdated and depressing. There's LITERALLY no artwork or anything on the walls. I have no idea if my room has been updated but, if it has, it's been downgraded if anything (the staff has informed me that renovation has been going on for about a year. That doesn't seem right…) The breakfast is what you'd expect at Hampton Inn. The best feels incredibly stiff and cheap. I haven't rested well since I've been here. And lastly, according to the front desk the construction guys "messed something up and the water is going to be off for a while. " I hope I'm able to shower and brush my teeth before going in to work! No apology or anything. I still have another night here…

Front desk Jennifer Bush was so helpful. She took the time to move things around so we could stay in the same room. So friendly. We will stay here again. Remodeling is going on now inside and outside. Looking good. Staff is awesome!

Room is sometime less than clean but everything else has been perfect. Cookies are always tasty when they're out in the lobby. Breakfast has been delicious. Wi-Fi is also less than perfect but it's okay because I didn't expect much. Customer service has been perfect. Always a smile from employees.

Giving this hotel a 3 star review only due to the fact that the rooms are in desperate need of a facelift. They are dated and look as though they need a lot of attention as far as a good cleaning and all-together update. Aside from that the beds were very comfortable. The service was great. Everyone I associated with at this hotel was friendly and assisted me with anything I was in need of. As fo their service I rate them a 5-star. The pool area was nice for the kids. The breakfast in the morning was sufficient.

Gross! Cracked mirrors, peeling wallpaper, mildew in the bathroom. The pool area had no shade. The carpets were worn and dirty. Cigar smoke smell in the hallway. No plug for the bath tub to give your child a bath! The staff was pleasant though. I would not stay here again. It seems like Hampton inns are hit and miss now. They used to be consistently good quality.

I appreciated the location here. It is really close to Weeki Watchee and to Pasco county. The staff here are very friendly and hospitality is awesome!

Rooms were very nice and spacious. I was very happy to see a small fitness center and pool at the hotel. The free hotel breakfast was also great.

This was a very nice hotel. Very nice. We didn't get to use all the amenities that this hotel offered but the breakfasts were great every morning. The room was clean. There was a coke vending machine but no snack machine. I went to the front desk and they sold small snacks for $1 each! Love it! The best part about the snacks they sold at the front desk was one of them were Lorna Doone cookies! My hubbies favorites! Win win!

Very nice hotel. They are remodeling and the new rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was basic but good. It was close to Weeki Wachee Springs. I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly, helpful staff. We had a basic room but it was in need of a good cleaning. A musty smell got better after one night but still lingered. The hotel is in the midst of undergoing a refresh so so of this my br attributible to the construction. The breakfast was really good — fresh cut fruit, clementines and eggs and sausage. Convenient location!

Nice place to stay. Good location in the heart of an area that has many restaurants and stores to shop. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi and clean place.

This hotel was very nice — the room was large and the tub with jets was a pleasant way to relax. I wish I could have changed the strength of the jets, though. Staff was helpful and friendly!

Staff was attentive and friendly. The hotel has nice bathroom fixtures. Good water pressure and hot water. The room had the mini fridge that held all my beer with plenty of room. The layout of the hotel is simple and the room service was pretty great. I would stay again if I were in the area.

I stayed here for one night on 1/6/18. I'm going to see that room 305 had no yet seen any renovations, although some parts looked like that had. The carpet was a frayed by the door, the chair had some paint on it but the walls looked pretty fresh. The ceiling had dust stalactites hanging down, so that was a turn off. The tiled floor has some coffee drip stains and sneaker foot prints in it, so my guess was that housekeeping took it easy on this one. Over all it was not the best Hampton Inn I stayed in, but it was mostly clean and a decent nights sleep.

The location is 15 min away from Hudson beach. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was ok. I recommend this place.

The hotel was fine but the toilet was half broken. They are in the middle of remodel so they aren't at their best. Still a great night's sleep from Hampton.

Stay somewhere else if you can! Property is rundown. You’ll only have 2 lamps in your room, which provide a minuscule amount of light. Your shower will turn into a bath, with water levels past your ankles, due to drainage issues. Would not recommend!

The room is very spacious, clean, and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast has a great selection.

Although the front is being updated, the rooms haven't been updated in a long time. The bathroom sink was gross and the door had obvious water damage that had just been painted over. They need to invest in changing the carpets and renovating the bathrooms to make this a competing hotel. The free breakfast every morning was pretty good and the staff was friendly.

I thought it was a decent place and I really wanted to be optimistic about it until this morning and some things from last night. The shower head isn't very good and the hose attached to it leaks. The tile where the tub handle closest to the outside was cracked, the light covers above the sink were coming loose, none of the support handles in the bathroom were sturdy or even fully attached to the wall, the room did have a mildew smell that I believe was coming from the A. C. Unit, and this morning our family who was upstairs from us was tore up from bed bugs. Literally tore up. Definitely needs maintenance, updating, and extermination of pests.

Top 5 WORST Hampton ever! This is definitely not what I have come to expect. They are doing construction on the top floor, is fine, I haven't heard anything and there hasn't been any inconvenience. There is trash in the hallway that has been in the exact same spot for 2 days. A lamp is coming off the wall in my room. There is only one outlet that works. An outlet cover is taking off the wall, the sprinkler is just dangling, unfinished in the ceiling, there is NO fan on the AC unit. It's like they haven't done maintenance since 1998 yet they are adding an entity floor. I stay in about 15-25 Hamptons a year, this is on my top 5 list of the WORST!

We were concerned after reading reviews about bedbugs. Fortunately there were no bedbugs to be found. It is a typical Hampton inn in a really good locating. Beds were really comfortable as usual and everything was clean.

Great value for what you pay. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, though I did not ever need their assistance aside from checking in and out. The complimentary breakfast was more plentiful and varied than I expected. I hadn't stayed at a Hampton Inn before, but I was pleased with what I got.

BEDBUGS! Do not stay here! I told the front desk and they did not care. Manager has still not contacted me after reaching out via email and phone (both twice). They still charged me after finding a live bedbug in the room! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Stayed at this hotel during a quick weekend getaway with my son before Christmas 2014. I am a long standing HHonors member and have stayed at Hilton properties all over the US and other places in the world. So please understand that my rating of this hotel is based on many years of travel and many nights in hotels, including hotels in the Hampton Inn level of quality and service. Ignore the older reviews here. This is a great Hampton Inn, with a great staff, comfortable and clean rooms, and overall well maintained and operated. The older reviews depicted this hotel as a "dive". It is not! Yes it is an older Hampton Inn and and it is in a commercial area North of Tampa, but the hotel is a great base camp if you are visiting local attractions. Plenty of restaurants and shopping very close, even walking distance. Room: I rented a double queen/full size room. Carpeting was relatively new and very clean. Bed and linens were clean and beds were very comfortable. The furniture in the room was a bit dated, but who really cares unless you are room snob! Bathroom was very clean and supplied toiletries are everything you need! Room was a 4 or 5! Breakfast: Typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Nothing special, but the attendant was friendly and charming and worked hard to keep everything moving, keeping the food fresh and plentiful. Typical fare: Scrambled and hard boiled eggs, Waffles, baked goods (toast, bagels, muffins), cereal, Oatmeal, mixed fruit and juice.

Room's are clean beds fresh and clean. Pillows comfortable. It's a older Hampton Inn but still kept well. Check in was great the gal was friendly, and very helpful. As a gold member I was pleased with the service. And the hotel.

I stayed there on a night I had been driving for hours and I had to pull over. I went to the first hotel that I could find. It was a big mistake. I was bitten by bed bugs all over went and transferred rooms. All I wanted to do was shower but I was too nervous to use their towels. I didn't realize the extent of the bites till I took pictures. It was horrible. I hope that no one has to be put in that situation ever. I kept feeling things on the bed that looked like lent. After I kept itching I pulled down the covers and realized that the bed was infested. Please check your hotel beds before laying in them. Worst experience ever.

May2013: Hotel provide good price. BUT facility is a 1 star. Building/Room requires a facelift. For me, a room that smells unclean becomes a turn-off. Sheets and Towles were not a clean factor during my visit. Hope your visit has a bettter experience. Aug2013: Gave them a second chance. This Hotel does not change their bed sheet whenever a checkout takes place. I am disgusted with this Hotel. It gives the Hampton brand a black eye. They lack to understand the true Hampton experience.

Dirty beat to death carpet in rooms and hall ways. The "non — smoking" room had been smoked in. I cancelled my reservation and went a bit farther north on US 19 to the Holiday Inn Express. MUCH better. I would not stay in the Spring Hill Hampton Inn until it is renovated. I couldn't believe it was a Hampton Inn.
