The linens here are INCREDIBLE. Very luxurious. The staff are very kind and professional. The flamingo suite is huge with a gorgeous view. The showers are five star quality. Best hotel in The Villages.

We visited The Waterfront Inn for the first time yesterday. Cant say enough about it! Food was amazing! Staff made us feel comfortable and welcome! Drinks were awesome. Caught the entertainment of Patrina! What a Gal! Great evening! I will be checking back to keep on top of the events, menus and specials. Went to The Waterfront Inn with friends for dinner and entertainment tonight. Was not disappointed! Everything was wonderful! The food and drinks were delicious! Staff as well as management were very attentive and prompt. Entertainment was fabulous! All in our party had a great time! Thank you To the Waterfront Inn! We will be returning again and again!

We enjoyed dining and dancing to David Howell and Hunter Britton last night performing their magic at the romantic atmosphere of The Waterfront Inn. Views of the water are spectacular! Delicious meals with thoughtful amenities show throughout this historic building. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this beautiful location. Five Stars!

Centrally located to the Villages, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Several restaurants and stores are within walking distance. The staff is courteous and professional. Pool is clean and well kept, and the breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant are decent and reasonably priced. I will stay here again in the future.

Rooms definitely need updating. Really felt like I was on an episode of the golden girls. Staff are friendly and view of the lake is stunning.

Normally I would give this place 5 stars because it has been a favorite hotel for our family. But this time we found the ceiling in our room moldy. That said, they have a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub right next to Lake Sumter. There is an excellent view of both sunset and sunrise. At nights there are often dance parties, and there is a breakfast buffet you can buy. Staff are courteous, and the place is well maintained (except for the mold, as mentioned, this visit) and beautiful. Nearby are lots of cute shops and restaurants and a theater. We especially love the Barnes and Noble. Also close at hand is a place that rents and sells golf carts for a decent price. You can tool around everywhere on them and even on special paths just for golf carts, with cute tunnels and such. Overall, I really like the Waterfront Inn and hope that they will correct this mold because we really enjoy coming here!

The employees are nice. It's in a great location. There's plenty of shopping and entertainment going on. The rooms are very outdated. Carpet, color scheme, wallpaper, light fixtures, plumbing… Everything needs to be renovated. I believe they could compete with other hotels with more modern amenities.

This is a nice place. I'm visiting my parents at The Villages and this is where they booked us. It has a pool and a hot tub which is nice. The food and bar are very reasonably prices for a hotel. The fitness center is also really nice. Beds are comfy, room was clean and house keeping has been great. Our interaction with all staff had been positive. It is so located within walking distance of the square that has a bunch of shops, live entertainment in the evenings. Guy Fieri even has a restaurant within walking distance.

I highly recommend this four and a half star waterfront hotel. There is a great restaurant and bar, with live entertainment at least 3 times a week. All of the staff of both the restaurant and hotel, are tops in hospitality and overall great people skills. I have to mention my very favorite member of the night time staff, Dave from Pittsburgh, my hometown, " what a country". You won't regret choosing this place when you're visiting The Villages of Florida…

Clean and friendly service. No free breakfast $12.95 way over priced for what you're paying for a room. The new management company needs to reevaluate their mission. Hot tub was out of service all week.

We stayed here for several nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The shower was nice and hot. The rooms are a bit outdated, with some stains on the carpet. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was not working the entire time. No free breakfast, so be prepared to spend some money.

Everything was super Great. However, the mattresses need to be replaced in rooms 409 and 407. You sink in the middle and it's hard to get out. And No, I am not overweight! Otherwise, I will recommend to all friends. Also, cleaning the baseboards, nightstands, headboards and bathroom vents.

Great atmospheres and the food was delicious. Our server Margo was an absolutely lovely young woman that was just as sweet as can be and the young girl Tifany that she was training did a great job. We will be back!

Find another place. Work had a Christmas party here. The waitress Teresa had a bad attitude complained I had a cooler with beer in it when I was staying in a room. Actually walked around the corner with her complaining about me and laughing about how she threatened to shut the whole party down. Of all places for someone to complain about beer in the villages.

The Waterfront Inn is a wonderful` place to go for good food an beautiful atmosphere. The service is superb and the prices are reasonable. You can overlook the lake and have a choice of sitting outside which is very relaxing. I definitely recommend the Waterfront Inn for lunch or dinner.

Waited 45 minutes for food lobster bisque was so spicy some couldn't eat it they did not have and do no longer have a soup of the day as stated on the menu also they do not any longer serve lunch buffet. I Have eaten lunch buffet there 2 times in the last 4 years however the waitress said she's been there for 9 years and they have never had a lunch buffet. I even remember what I ate at the lunch buffet that I did have there and so did numerous other ladies in our bunch who also attended that lunch buffet that the waiter said they never had.

Nice view. Overview and Comfort.

The only reason this place has 2 stars is because of walking distance to shops and restaurants. The front desk was not clearly indicated, there was no running water when I checked in because of some maintenance issue. When I got to my room, the furniture looked to be picked up from a thrift store. The color decor clashed. Nothing resembled a 3 or 4 star hotel. All of the furniture had water marks and veneer bubbling and chipping. The wicker desk chair was rickety. All the electrical outlets were not functioning appropriately. Oh this place may have a great view of an oversized golf pond, but I would never voluntarily stay here again. Luckily this last stay was on my company’s dime, or I would’ve taken myself elsewhere.

I stayed at this hotel on Saturday evening and overall the hotel had clean and spacious rooms, but the service had lots to be desired. I had a long day of traveling and arrived around 5:30 p. M. To check into the room. There was a couple in front of me and there was only one front desk person available. The couple seemed to be looking for a room later in December of this year. Needless to say, they took quite a long time to get to a decision not to book a room. The couple then wanted to see which rooms have the best views. I waited approximately 15 minutes before I asked the front desk person if there was anybody else available to check us in. I was told that the other front desk desk person was on break and I needed to wait my turn. I came very close to leaving the hotel at this time. My entire check in process took less than 2 minutes when the person got back from break. When I got to my room I found a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower on the towel rack. This was a minor infraction and something that I normally would have overlooked but my experience with the check-in just had me riled up. Overall the hotel has good rooms in a good location but the staff needs better training in customer service and just being efficient.

Housekeeping is terrible. We stayed there 4 nights and they never came to our room. We ran out of toilet paper, called the front desk and then had to call again two hours later and after really getting upset with them they brought us some. We resorted to taking towels from the housekeeping cart. Rooms need upgrading. Tiles missing in the shower. We booked on line and it took us 45 minutes to check in because they couldn't find our reservations. The front desk people were ex…tremely kind and we let them know several times the lack of Housekeeping and all we got was they are out of hand. I don't think they had any control over them. Each time I complained they sent a note to housekeeping, but they never came to our room. We were exhausted and traumatized after Hurricane Irma and had no power or water at our home. We were spending our days on clean up at our home and wanted a hot shower and to be able to relax… didn't happen. For what they are charging we expected much more from the hotel. Would not recommend. We did get an excellent buffet breakfast the mornings we were there and the servers were so kind to us, even filling out Yetis with ice. We would never recommend it stay at this place again. Major security issue is that they are allowing a wedge in the stairway door, so anyone can come up the stairs to any floor. Not safe at all.

We stayed four 4 nights after the Hurricane. The hotel was at full capacity. It took them 45 minutes to check us in as they couldn't find our booking. Nice staff but Housekeeping has some real issues. We never had housekeeping the entire time we were there and had to call twice to get toilet paper our last night there. Would highly recommend you bring your own. Be prepared to replace your towels yourself. I stole them from the housekeeping cart. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. F for housekeeping. We had excellent service and a tasty buffet breakfast the mornings we were there. Good value also for the food. I stayed alone some and one night I had someone banging at the door, the front desk didn't answer the phone and I had to call from my cell to get an answer. Security was awesome and came up to check. It happened again, same deal did not answer guest services telephone and I had to call from my cell and the front desk guy came up. Very nice but no solution. Had it occurred again, I would have called 911. SAFETY ISSUE: We also noticed that the stairs are kept open with a wedge and that is a security issue. The door has card access. Again, I stayed by myself at night and my room was by the stairs, I was uncomfortable knowing the door was not secure. We took the wedge out but someone put it back in each time.

The room was not only clean but also spacious and well put together. The shower was tiled and had dual shower heads, definite plus. The staff was always kind and eager to help. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and if I find myself in the area again, would definitely stay again.

Checking in by sitting at tables is different and implies that it might take awhile. Water from the shower was extremely hot… Encouraging for those who like hot showers but hard to find something in the middle for others. Great views and soft carpets in the halls. If you're taller than 6'4", you might have a hard time seeing your face in the bathroom mirror without bending. Nice area to walk around and many restaurants and even a movie theater close by. More to like than not.

Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff and sales team especially will go way out of their way to take care of any requests, no matter how last minute. Rooms are clean and well appointed with a fantastic view of the lake. Couldn't be happier with the experience!

My wife and I stayed there after our wedding night, we liked it so much we stayed in rather then going out for drinks with our family, coworkers and friends. Breakfast was great. Room was nice well laid out, beds were comfy, a/c worked well and the bathrooms were nice too. Seemed dated but that could be the theme.

The room was average, but my issue was with the TV "reception". Of the "available 104 channels, 18 were showing. This included religious and Spainish channels. I called early afternoon and was told Comcast was rebooting and it would be back up in 2-3 min. Inquired 2-3 hours later and got the same answer. This morning I checked the channels again and no change. I got coffee and asked the desk if my bill would be adiusted. Was told probably. I checked out and asked about the adjustment and he said you didn't ask. I said we talked about it this morning and he said did I ask your room number. I said you don't remember me (I'm 6'4" and 235 lbs)? I was then appraised of how many people he had seen this morning. Long story short, I got an adjustment! By the way, if you forget any of your amenities at home, they will sell you some.

Worn out hallway carpet and decor. Marginal linens and poor quality pillows. The hotel needs a total renovation. Has good base level construction quality, i. E. 9 fit ceilings, knocked down texture, crown moulding. Good bathrooms. Otherwise, it's beat up.

We checked in last night and asked for another night. The front desk person took our new card, explained everything for the second night, and checked us in. Today I had a do not disturb sign on the door and was half naked changing. I replied with a "YES? " really loud, but that still didn't matter, because next thing I know someone was standing in my room. When I went to complain because I'm livid this happened I found out that the person who checked us in didn't put us in for the second night. Okay… So why was someone coming into my room when I there was a do not disturb sign and I responded very loudly from the other side of the door?! When I was finished speaking to a manager I was locked out of my room and at this point I'm so livid I wish we could stay somewhere else. Worst hotel experience of my life. I will NEVER return and I suggest people choose to stay at a nicer hotel where you can change in your own room without some stranger coming in to see you in unclothed.

I stopped in there for a drink with my husband, today is Thursday, it was about 7:40 pm, trivia was just over with, … nobody ever asked us what would you like to drink or can I help you, strange for such a place to leave two customers standing there. We ended up getting our drinks @ the bar but din't know where to sit down? Still no action from the waitress! She finally cleared a table for us and left us there … never came back. The personnel started to clear tables and chairs out of the room. We totally field like we where in the way. After my husband finished his beer we got up when to the bar and payed for the beer & the cosmopolitan we had ordered and I never bothered to finish because of the cold cold and very unpleasant experience @ that place, after all it was only eight o clock. I will never return or send anyone out there.

My desk clerk was terrific. She was very helpful. All staff have been accommodating. It could use a little updating. Overall good. My co worker had a very different experience than I.

I stopped by for an evening drink. The crowd is obviously older but they were having a blast. There was a lady singing and had everyone dancing. Drinks were ok.

The Waterfront Inn offers a great location, a lovely boutique hotel with Southern charm and outstanding staff! We have hosted 2 quarterly legal meetings at this location and have nothing but positive reviews from every attendee. The rooms are well equipped and the beds super comfortable. We had a lakeside balcony this most recent stay and the view was breathtaking. The breakfast buffet was affordable & delicious and the staff was attentive and welcoming. The banquet staff met all of our meeting needs and our luncheon was superb! Nichole Toquero, Director of Sales, is great to work with. She and her team of professionals made sure our meeting ran smoothly and all guests were happy with their stay. We will look to The Waterfront again in the future, both personally and professionally.

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Me and my father flew down from PA to watch my nephews high school football game. We spent 4 nights there and everything about the place is wonderful. Clean comfortable rooms, a beautiful view out of the window, a very good breakfast buffet, and outstanding service. I really loved the atmosphere of the place. It feels like you are staying in a beautiful lakeside mansion rather than a hotel. So many nice little sitting areas inside and out. All of them with a beautiful view. Plus its right next to all the shops and restaurants! You can walk everywhere. Lots of live music going on as well. I highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I spent a night there on a mini honeymoon and we absolutely loved it! we had the pleasure of staying in the flamingo suite, which included champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Delicious! both the room and the view was enchanting. We would definetely recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

I live in The Villages. I have tried twice to get reservations for friends coming in to town. Both times the receptionist cannot takes any calls because she can't hear anything because the music is so loud. No one ever answers the reservation desk when she tries to transfer the call. Or the main line just rings busy. This is absolutely ridiculous! It is a beautiful place downtown Sumter Landing right on the lake. This is the second time I have tried to get a reservation and similar incidents have happened just like tonight. The receptionist said this is what has been going on for two years. And management approves this? This is ridiculous and absolutely stupid. I had my friends booked in The Hampton a couple miles away. This is two strikes Waterfront — you are out! We had a standard room which was still large and comfortable. Nicely decorated. Had to ask for luggage assistance but help arrived quickly and refused tip saying it is a service. Breakfast buffet was real good. Room was very clean. We stayed 2 nights. Room was cleaned while we were at breakfast. Did not use pool but it was sparkling clean. We had a block of 15 rooms for a party and everyone loved their stay.

We are here for a wedding! The place is gorgeous and could not be more accomodating! I rate this place 6 stars. As far as the first comment! Ignore it! That is not the hotels problem! It is the irresponsible adult drunks! The Waterfront Inn is gorgeous.

I just spent a night there with my daughter and wished we could have stayed longer. It was quiet, very comfortable, excellent service and spotless. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone.
