Stayed here for a night during Super Bowl week. Great location on the river. It’s worth paying extra for a river view with balcony. Your daytime and night view of the river is amazing.

This is actually beautiful the area is gorgeous. Staff seems to be nice and genuine but it's my one year anniversary with my husband who is an essential worker and works 17 hours a day so this was the only night we could get away and we do live here in Tampa so we had to book here. Got to a room which was great but looking around it wasn't vacuumed it was Dusty the refrigerator coffee maker every TV every appliance basically was unplugged which I can understand but I'm 5 ft tall and it was hard to get back behind dressers and desk to plug everything back in. We had no cups no ice buckets the floors were not vacuumed we have pictures and the tub was filthy.

Tempature was set to cool at 65 degrees and never cooled past 73 degrees. Musty smell in room wasn’t terrible but just added to the whole experience.
The upgraded water view that was paid extra for was basically a dirty roof shot with water in background. (See photos) The bathroom has mold in several spots, and then TV, which is probably Direct TV came in and out of Service probably every 15 to 30 seconds. Spoke with desk staff and they had no solution or offer, then had to pay another $25 to park car. Total for one night over $260+. Very disappointed in the hotel and do not recommend.

Too many rules, can’t bring your own drink poolside, can’t smoke cigar poolside. Room smelled musty, shower wouldn’t drain.

The air-conditioning is not cooling the rooms. Been here two nights and have three more to go. We have two rooms and both of them are very warm. Already been moved once and the second room was no better. Other people that are here with our group have been moved to the Westin but when I called to complain for the 3rd time he said nothing but oh there are technicians working on it. They have apparently been working on it since yesterday and still no resolution. Very disappointed, I expect better especially with what we are paying and the fact that we have two rooms at this hotel for five nights each. This is definitely a one and done for us. I have small children and it is August in Florida. Not good.

Central location in walkable distance to many restaurants and bars. Close proximity to the Aquarium and the Zoo, less than 20 minutes drive. Friendly staff. Outoor pool is always a plus.

Walked into restaurant at 4:05, only 3 tables with people. Took 15 minutes to get seated. Once seated no one came. Over until 4:36. Didn't get drinks, which consisted of ice tea and water, and coffee until 4.56. Went to order and were told was out of 4 appetizers. Finally got ordered, she brought soup out to another table, took 5 minutes to get new soup to my table. Dinner came asked for check because we were already here over an hour, and that took 20 minutes… in the meantime, the bartender took 4 tables and them them with drinks and appetizers in less. Than 15 minutes. No apologies, no recognition of any thing, in the meantime 3. Other tables walked out. She forgot check a 2nd time, Dropped a to go box on TOP of the food and walked off…

Great area! It's worth the visit as there is plenty to see and do.

Beautiful view of Tampa and the Riverwalk from our balcony. Perfect location. Easy walk to restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff in the dining room and front desk are exceptional, especially Andrew and Samantha. I stay here every time I am in Tampa!

The Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk is a very nice and beautiful hotel to stay at! The rooms are spacious and kept clean! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about places to visit in the area! It's a great hotel in a very convenient location! Had a great time, and look forward to staying again for another Tampa vacation!

Poolside bar grand opening was festive. Any time the menu is half price and bloody Mary's are free COUNT ME IN! This was so worth the drive and the wait time was worth it, service was exactly what you'd expect from Sheraton. We ate the Burger Reimagined, with chicken wrap and all the free Mimosas we could handle in an hour = TOTALLY SATISFIED.

As we sit at the grand opening of the pool party, we have some feedback. There are no servers, the bar is the only place to get a drink or order food. So when we ordered food, we were told to come back to the bar in 15 min for our food as they don’t know where we sit. There is nowhere to order drinks either. If we they had servers, it would be a better place to enjoy. Additionally, there is not enough chairs for those who wish to use them. People are claiming chairs and not using them for hours. There must be more chairs for those to sit around the pool. We live close and want to support this local busines, but you must step up your game. I hope to come back and enjoy this place again once they have their issues worked out.

Booked a room in Feb for last night with river view and two beds. When I arrived at 3:30 to check in I was told they did not have the room I reserved available. Additionally, I overheard the person next to be had the same issue. This trip was for a special occasion and with 4 people in the room, we wanted and needed two beds. The best they could offer was a 2 bed with City View. They only discounted the room $20. They did offer us drink vouchers but I was so disappointed afte…r reserving so far in advance and paying $325! We arrived at our room to hear a dog barking two rooms over. Then we entered the room we walked into a small such as that of pets, found mold in the shower, a sink that was partially clogged and a room with two beds with virtually no space to walk on one side of the bed. Also included in our room rate was a buffet breakfast. When we arrived for breakfast they were out of eggs and it took 20 to 30 min to bring out more. Unfortunately my that time we could no longer wait so did not get to have any. As a Marriott rewards member I was very surprised as I was looking forward to what I expected to be a great hotel stay. I will not recommend this hotel. I am beyond frustrated with the entire experience. Hotel was a 2 star at best.

Stayed here while taking the FL Bar Exam. The room was clean and spacious. I was very surprised at how AMAZING the staff was and considerate to all of us staying there for the Bar Exam. They tried their best to help us through those days in any way they could, which truly made a huge difference when you're in a high stress situation. It was probably a 15 minute walk to the Civic Center, which I thought was really nice by the riverwalk. They also offer a shuttle but I never used it. Parking, please note you have to pay a fee per night to park there.

Absolutely recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the room was clean (and I'm very picky about what I consider actually clean), and the pool area was great! I save money and get treated like an honored guest (unlike Hilton). I also enjoy the feature of having to use your room card to get into anything or go anywhere, it's a good safety measure. The only cons were: the pool area doesn't really have any towels out to use, the sink seemed to have a handle broken, and the vending machine on the 1st floor with the drinks doesn't deliver what you select. Overall, I definitely plan on staying here Everytime I have an event to attend. Loved it!

I used to LOVE coming to this hotel every year for our annual Metrocon vacation. I considered it a hidden gem, but not this year. We stay club level EVERY YEAR can pay the extra for the ability to go into the club longue for snacks. This was the first year, mind you after the lounge is moved downstairs, that not only are the food items in the lounge utterly dissapointing, the staff never took care of any of the missing food replacements and we literally had to hunt someone do…wn for a little fresh coffee. Then to make matters worse, on our third night there, a bar tender named Joseph called out my group and demanded IDs and room keys to allow us into the club area. What made it all even worse for us is he didn't call any groups before or after us about IDs or anything to enter the lounge. Just us. The make the whole expirience worse, the drinks at the pool side bar are absolute crap. Save your $14 on the long Islands and $9 on a literal publix mixer and rum they call a Pina Colada pours over ice. It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have to cancel my card as a result. The bar tender didn't charge my account for the drinks until a week later, and charged on the wrong date, (A date I hadn't even arrived in town yet) for these drinks. The Bank found the whole ordeal suspicious of course as several things didn't add up when my fiance and my friend's cards were both charged immeadiately but mine a week later under suspicious circumstances.

Booked the Sheraton Riverwalk as the preferred hotel for my wedding in June! Heather & Danette helped reserve a hotel block for my wedding guests and party. They were in communication during our wedding planning and ensured all of my questions were answered. Valet service is the only option for parking but the team was very quick and efficient. The front driveway was under construction and there was a lot of debris and was unattractive to my wedding guests. Unfortunately the pool was also being emptied for repair so we were unable to utilize the patio and pool for entertainment. The rooms were kept clean and neat and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

All the staff is kind and attentive from the valet to the concierge to the custodial staff. The hotel is located on the river in Downtown Tampa and is within walking distance of anything you might want or need. It is also close to the convention center which was convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone planning on staying in the area.

I was meeting up with someone and spent some time at the bar while I waited. Service was good. Drinks were well made. Good selection.

TERRIBLE! where do I start…? I ordered room service, first I got an extra item I did not order and I was charged for It, so I called room service to get that fixed. Then I noticed the chocolate cake I ordered (says it comes with fresh berries) was missing berries. I called room service again… They sent the missing berries up to the room and the raspberries had BLACK MOLD in them! No joke and I took pictures of all of this. There were red ants in the bathroom and I got bit. The shower water did not get that hot (took a cold shower) I stayed in the corner suite and it looks nothing like the pictures on the website. Very runied down looking and missing half of the furniture in the picture. This has been an awful disappointing experience. I paid $288 for this experience. I'll go to the Marriott or Hilton next time. = (

The Riverwalk hotel is in a fabulous location in a fun city. Rooms on the river side are quieter and have nicer views. Be sure to rent a bike or just walk along the river path. Local museums are also plentiful and good.

I stayed here because of a conference that I was attending and I am so sorry I did. The rooms are old and musty feeling. The sliding closet doors keep falling track. The blinds are from 1970. Top molding over doors was fixed before and maintenance never painted the plaster. As I exited the room during morning it smelled like sewage water. I have stayed at plenty of Sheraton's but nothing like this one. Sorry Sheraton, I can't do better than 1 star.

Great hotel, with even greater location. I had a double bed room even though it was just myself staying for one night. The showers and Wi-Fi were very good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a spot downtown.

Very convenient location. Staff is very pleasant. The rooms show a decent amount of wear and tear (exacerbated by the convenient location), the Club here is not much of a benefit and sits in a retrofitted location. The phone our room didn't work. Overall, not my favorite Sheraton location but would stay here again given its location.

Location is great. Hotel could use some updating, but overall good stay for our visit… staff was helpful especially front desk agent Marcella. Had an issue and she helped resolve it professionally.

This hotel is one of the WORST hotels I have ever stayed at. The hallways to the rooms were all torn up, the sink in our room leaked every time someone took a shower, and it constantly smells like sewage. The service is terrible. We had asked for toilet paper one night, because we never got a replacement roll, and the current roll was almost empty to begin with, and they never sent it up. We had to ask again THE NEXT DAY for toilet paper and towels, because our room was stocked with 1 towel for 4 PEOPLE. The pool deck was booked with 2 wedding receptions, and there was no where for pool users to go, except for the deck immediate to the pool side. On top of it all, the staff was RUDE to a ridiculous degree, and the valet (because there is no place to park yourself) lost our keys to our vehicle. So we had to wait 45 minutes for them to find the car keys and the car itself. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

My husband and I visited the Sheraton Grill after strolling the Riverwalk. We live nearby so we did not book accommodations, just wanted to have a nice lunch outside by the water. The waiter brought us menus then returned to take our drink order. I ordered a Pinot Grigio wine and my husband ordered a bottled Michelob Ultra but then immediantly changed his mind to a 'Beam on the Rock's. ' When he finally returned with the drinks, he had brought the Michelob Ultra… my husband said 'it's okay, I'll keep it. (instead of sending it back, opened, for the Beam on The Rocks that he really wanted). We sat and sat and waited and completely finished our drinks… no waiter to take our lunch order! … or to suggest a 2nd drink. It was getting extremely hot as I was seated mostly in the sun so I asked my husband to go inside, pay for our drinks and we were leaving. When he returned he said our two drinks, a wine and a beer, were $15… not including a $2 tip. Total of 17 bucks to be mostly ignored! Never going back. Highway robbery!

We were allowed to check in early. Front desk gave great options for restaurants in the area. The Riverwalk is very convenient to get to Amalie Arena without worrying about traffic. You can get to Riverwalk directly from property as well (gate in pool area). Room was spacious, shower had great water pressure.

Hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. Overall my room was pretty nice. Service at the front desk and at the attached restaurant and bar we're fine. My favorite benefit of getting Club Level rooms is having the room on the floor. In this case, that room was under construction. That was a little disappointing.

Great representative of the brand. I stayed for a week because of a mandatory conference attendance. However, I would stay here on a vacation too. The hotel has a restaurant inside which serves food commensurate with its cost. Only valet parking on site. The river walk allows for a continuous 3 mile run end to end without crossing streets, which is nice if you didn't want to use one of the 6 treadmills, 2 bikes, or 4 elliptical trainers in the fitness center.

I never write reviews but I will this time. Stayed here 12/1/17. Lobby was clean and neat. Staff was pleasant upon arrival. Letting me know it’s $24. Per day to park. (I feel this should be included in the hotel reservation OR told to you before booking your room. ) Entering the room had a musty odor. I looked at air vent and it was dirty. Looked like there was some problem either with a/c vent or a leak from above. The ceiling was bowed down and bad dry wall work had been done. The rest of the room was neat and tidy. I figured I’m not going to be in the room this evening until I sleep, so I let it go… After attending a concert near by the next morning I was awoken at 7am to construction work. I also heard workers talking. The voices traveled down a vent into my bath room. I was hoping they would stop but they did not. At this point I wasawake and couldn’t fall back asleep. The banging and talking didn’t subside till 10 am. When I checked out I was asked how my stay was. I proceeded to tell the gentleman at the front desk about the construction noise and worker talking and he just laughed. Also, said they are not supposed to start working till 10am. He did nothing to correct the problem or even ask if he could do anything for me. I used to be a Sheraton member. This experience has reminded why I am no longer a member. I do not believe I will be staying at a Sheraton again.

Gorgeous hotel I love it! Parking is only about $15 for a day. Food is great in the hotel restaurant. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms seem renovated and totally sheek. I love this place!

Staff was nice upon arrival before I saw my room. Walked into my room and immediately smelled dirty water. Took my shoes off and the carpet was wet. Went to take a shower and ants all over the sink in bathroom and hair in the bath tub. Hair and ants in the bed as well. Hotel was booked and could not switch rooms. Absolutely disgusting would never stay at this hotel again.

Good dinner though without a little casual tablecloth for a good menu of sea Furtos.

This hotel is in an interesting location. It's not a far walk from anything in downtown Tampa although you'll probably need your car valeted at the hotel. The free Wi-Fi is incredibly show but you can pay more for faster speeds. The breakfast buffet was fine but not very large. The rooms are decent too.

Beautiful stay overlooking the river — Riverwalk was great! Food at the restaurant was amazingly yum! Tampa don't miss this secret place! Go experience the food! There is a nice place to sit on a patio overlooking the river or by the window! Steak, lobster macncheese, crab cake, banana foster… golden spoon award 5 ⭐️

Not bad but need renovation.

This hotel has walls that are like paper. You can hear everything in the hall and other rooms clearly and some people really don't care if you get any sleep or not. The hotel as a whole is run down, broke, and fairly dirty. The owner is obviously just trying to suck as much money from people as he can while giving them the least in comfort, cleanliness, and security. People need to stop supporting places like this. The good reviews are either fake or posted by travelers who have never stayed in a decent place.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Right on the water with access to the riverwalk making any event at the Tampa Convention Center only a short walk away. Single King room with river view is spacious with all standard amenities. Having a balcony to walk out on and enjoy the Florida sun is a big plus, as the pool area can be quite busy. The restaurant has inside and outside seating with friendly staff.

Great customer service and friendly employees, the air conditioner can barely keep up though. The temperature is tolerable (shows 72 when set for 65F). The location is great and close to the Tampa Convention Center.

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel, commencing on July 6, 2014 and checking out on July 10, 2014. We chose this particular Hotel because of the convenience to Tampa General and Tampa General Medical Clinic. Everyone was wonderful, there is a restaurant in the hotel, which was very convenient, so we did not have to get our vehicle out to find a place to eat. Their shuttle service is great also. I had the same driver all but twice while we were there, and I can't say enough about them. Daniel was the driver that shuttled me around mostly, and very willing to help. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. If either my husband or I need to stay in that area again, we will definitely stay at the Sheraton. Wonderful staff, and great room.

Locations is great, hotel shuttle takes you to Channel side boardwalk where downtown restaurants are located. The room itself however is very outdated, not up to Sheraton standards. Overall If you don't care much about the room, it's a great place to explore downtown Tampa as waterfront cement boardwalk connects you to lot's of downtown venues (Forum, Convention center, Aquarium, Library, Tampa University etc. ) For $5 You can also ride a street car (trolley) all day from the hotel to Ybor city, where movie theater, bar and restaurants are.

Tv picture went off in afternoon. Facilities guy fixed it. Off again 01:00, no facilities guy available. Fixed by unplugging TV and cable then re-attaching. Air conditioning wouldn't convert to heat mode. Set to 80 to get a fix. Loud voices and engines down on the street all night. I wouldn't take my wife out after dark. Nice pool with good sun most of the day. Pleasant staff. Many of them no comprende English. Excellent restaurant. Prompt room service.

I've had the opportunity to travel a lot and stay at a plethora of hotels. This was the best hotel experience I've ever had. The room itself was relatively average, but totally fine, with a comfortable bed and a view of the water. However, what made this so great was that the service was AMAZING! Truly, from my reservation phone call right through to checkout they were fantastic. Some examples: — When the TV in my room wouldn't allow for my girlfriend and I to order a movie, a technician was there within 3 minutes. When it STILL wouldn't work they offered to replace the TV (which I declined), change our room (which I declined) and then, as an apology for not being able to help, they sent snacks and drinks! — I walked out to the pool just as it was closing to prepare for a private event, but the crew left a chair for me to hang out in the sun until the last possible second. — My reservation phone call included a friendly discussion of my dog coming and the phone agent working to find a way to reduce my rate via AAA membership and upgrade me to a water-facing room — When asked about thai and vietnamese cuisine, concierge recommended 3 places that were fantastic. — When the valet saw the dog, he gave us the addresses of 2 dog parks in walking distance — The cleaning staff saw my girlfriend and I walking out of the room, she went out of her way to make sure that we had enough towels and everything that we needed Just an overall fantastically friendly, positive staff.

Me and my grandma went there for an anime convention that was at the convention center, the free Wi-Fi absolutely sucked. The staff was pretty nice though. The room was nice, kinda small. But thats probably because I had 2 people sleeping on the floor.
