This hotel was decent definitely not one of my favs. The neighborhood this hotel is located in is not the best BUT. It is almost right across the st from Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. They offer a shuttle to drop you to either park. There are plenty of fast food restaurants near by. They also offer complimentary breakfast. The first room we check in smelled like marijuana (so much for non smoking). When we looked up we noticed the smoke alarm was covered up with a plastic bag. The tub also had a constant drip. Once we notified the front desk they apologized and gave us a new room. All in all it a decent place to stay if you are looking For somewhere to shower and sleep after a long day at the parks.

Completely satisfied! I am actually writing this review while sitting in my room. I stayed last night and this is my second night on this trip. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. And the rooms are always clean. I travel from Naples to Tampa about 5 times a year and always choose to stay at this location. As a bonus it is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants and is only half a mile from Busch Gardens. They have a free shuttle that will take you to and from the theme park. The drivers are always great. Friendly and entertaining. The morning breakfast is free and fabulous for a continental style buffet. No complaints at this time.

Stayed here back in March, and I haven't submitted my review until now simply because I wanted to mentally escape the nightmare that ensued during my stay. So the deal is that we got to our room and everything was cool (or so it seemed) and my girlfriend and I were going to go to Busch Gardens the following day. At about 11:30PM I went to take a shower to discover mold spread all over the walls in the shower and on the ceiling. Additionally, I saw silverfish insects on the wall behind the door. We called the desk to get a room transfer, which they were more than willing to do for us. So we packed up our things and proceeded to our newly assigned room, only to have the keycard not work. We were forced to drop all of our things in the hallway and go back down to the desk to have a new key made. By the time we got our things in our new room, it was just shy of 2:00AM. Needless to say, going to a theme park sleep deprived is not something I'm interested in (especially given the relatively narrow window of the park's operating hours), so we decided to spend an extra night and go after a sufficient night of rest. I spoke with the service representative to inquire if we could be refunded for the first night. She informed me that it was impossible for her to refund us more than $50, which is less than half the expense of a night in this hotel.

Very nice hotel, clean and convenient for Busch Gardens. Close to the Olive Garden and if you want the Hard Rock is just a few minutes away. I highly recommend this hotel! They also provide a shuttle service that will take you to the parks. This saves $20 on parking at the lot on site. Really a great hotel!

It was decent. Came on a trip with a group. Nice room and pretty good location. Some of the main breakfast items we wanted were either malfunctioning, not working, or wasn't the best quality. Customer service is subpar and could be better. They were pretty nice though. Overall, good overnight stay if just you need a place to rest your head.

Located very close to Busch Gardens but its not in the safest area. I saw alot of undesirables walking across the street and nearby the hotel but the hotel itself was great. Rooms are clean. The free breakfast was really good for being free. Good cable channels. The water in the shower stays hot for hours. All in all we were satisfied with our stay! Staff was very nice also! If it were in a better area I'd rate it a 5.

Stayed in a double queen room, modern, updated, and clean. Loved the hot water in the shower! The breakfast was excellent for a complimentary breakfast. Hotel was quiet and well located. The entrance to the hotel comes up quick, and we missed it once, but that's the only drawback. Will stay here again.

Nice new and clean. I thought it was overpriced though. The beds are really comfortable and the room was pretty nice as well. The front desk staff is really friendly and helpful. I liked it they had the Kreg coffee machines in the room. They're really nice down pillows and a down comforter which I love. Overall a really nice hotel but not worth the $200 I spent for the room.

Extremely satisfied with everything. Worth the money considering what is next door… our first hotel did not work out so we walked over last minute and they were able to help us out even though they were over booked. Very clean. Great customer service. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel, is located literally across from Busch Gardens. Very good breakfast.

Nice breakfast, beautiful view of Busch gardens, warm pool though January in Tampa is on the cool side so wasn't able to use it. Nice front door staff, clean room and working amenities. Loved the room, and on top floor experience was peaceful. Advantage of 24hr gym came in handy and laundry. Close to all kinds of stores, restaurants and transportation. Discounted Busch Garden tickets. Overall a good place to stay in Florida, and I'll love to come again on a free trip :D.

It is a very nice place, spacious, spectacular cuisine. Parking, swimming pool, gym, massage room, etc. A place for relaxation and rest.

They receiced this rating from me only because the male person that was part of the breakfast staff was RUDE! They ran our of cinnamon rolls and sausage on the first day we were there and never did replace them. On the second day they ran out of breakfast meats, cheese omelets and the pancake machine kept malfunctioning.

Good location, easy to get to. The staff very friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very quiet.

Loved the location! Room was clean and looked just like the pictures from the internet. Staff was friendly, but I give 5 stars for the shuttle bus driver Pablo. You can tell he loves his job and goes above and beyond to make sure guest have a great trip. We never waited longer than a few minutes to be dropped off or picked up at Busch Gardens. Thank you Pablo and Holiday Inn Express Suites for a great vacation! We will definitely be back!

Friendly, clean and relatively new Hotel.

Good location for those who visit the Busch Gardens Park in Tampa.

If you are looking for a block of rooms in the area, this is your go-to place! We had business in the area, dedicated to the cleanup of the Tampa area after Irma. Daria Leffel is the Sales Director at this location. She made our 37 (yes, 37) room block reservation PAINLESS. The nature of the business is that it can be so disorganized at times, with employees coming to and from one location to another, often. Daria handled all of the rooms and conferences so well. She is great at what she does and we were blessed to have worked with her! All of the staff was so accommodating. We will definitely be coming back if any other business arises in that area.

Hurricane Irma reservation here. Wonderful staff. They made our evacuation stay from Naples tolerable. They went out of their way to make sure we were safe, secure and comfortable. Never lost power either. Not a great neighborhood though. The staff runs that place on a shoe string budget. The owner needs to do some Serious Remodeling in and outside the building.

Very accommodating staff! Always friendly. Had a sore throat, just requested some salt and they went above and beyond with lemon, honey, etc. Can't beat that customer service. Room was nice and spacious, same as all hotels but would stay again because of of wonderful staff.

The hotel was very convenient to Busch Gardens and offered a shuttle to the parks that ran throughout the day, which was our main reason for booking the hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and treated our 2 year old son like a prince. The drivers of the shuttle were very personable and helpful, and made the rides more than pleasant. It was very clear they enjoyed their jobs. Our only criticism would be that the room was a bit musty-smelling, most likely from the worn and outdated carpeting. Overall though, it was a great experience, and we would definitely book here again.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed with the IHG group. Front desk staff was hit and miss, some were friendly and nice others rude and just plain didn't care about their jobs or the guests. Tried asking for a late checkout the day before we were leaving was told we had to ask the day we actually left starting at 7am. Never experienced that with Marriott, Hilton or intercontinental hotels and especially not in hotels you pay over 100 bucks a night. Breakfast was decent since it was free. Hotel was decently maintained but definitely not that well. Saw a couple cockroaches running around in the hallways.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Express 3 months ago when I did a road trip to Texas. Here in Tampa, I did not like the area and the worst part was waiting for 30 minutes under the sun for the shuttle when they said it was 5 minutes. I called 2:50pm, again 3:00pm and 3:20pm. When the driver arrived she had 8 people to pick up instead my husband and I. Shame on the front desk Jamal who blame on the traffic, and said she was on the way, she never was because is only 5 minutes ride from Bush Gardens to the hotel. The driver Mrs. Maureen said she sorry, she did not know we were waiting in hot sun for 30 minutes. This facility is a poor representation of Holiday inn express.

The front desk staff has been the best personalities and very helpful. The full breakfast is very good! Good eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The property is very nice and safe. However, the neighborhood is shady. I wouldn't walk around at night. I would eat closer to the airport. The restaurants around here have some scary people. If you're coming to stay for Busch Gardens, it's perfect.
