One star — Because the lowest you can rate is one star! I traveled to Tampa to go to the Busch gardens for last Christmas. We booked a room at this location. We reached at night on the 23rd December 2015. The next day morning when we left for Busch gardens, I found a chunk of my car's bumper has fallen off, very clear someone rear ended the car at night. I called the cops; but because there was no one in the car at the time of the incidence,, they did not register a hit and run case. I reported the incident to the manager on duty and she promised she would look at security videos and let me know. My insurance registered a claim as uninsured motorist and told me if I get a video clip from the hotel, the copay will be refunded. The Manager next day showed me the video of a white colored passenger van on her cell phone (Yes, like the ones Hotels use for courtesy van). She said she could not get a clip because the owner Mr. Patel was traveling and was in India. I kept following up by sending emails and making phone calls but no email was responded and the phone calls were answered by the front office staff saying" We do not know when Mr. Patel is expected, he comes and goes when he wants and we do not have a schedule for him". No one responded for a month so I reported the incident to BBB. The BBB sent me an email after two weeks saying the business has not responded. I was pretty sure the hotel owner would not respond for 90 days so I made a phone call to HHonors program as I use Hilton hotels frequently. They asked me three business days and nothing! Finally I started putting the incident on Twitter with pictures and that made the Hilton service respond immediately. Sure a hope, they again asked for three business days and after 10 days of follow up, I received a standard email that all properties are managed by local owners and they can not do anything. I was telling my wife that Mr. Patel would appear on phone when 90 days are up and to my surprise, on March 31, 2016, my call was transferred to Mr. Patel in spite of the desk knowing it is me calling. Mr. Patel claimed he had responded to all my emails and BBB too. (so that means both me and bbb are a bunch of liars! ). He also added that the camera system overwrites the videos after 5 days. C'mon, we expect a chain like Hilton get better cameras. He added that even if I go to the court, he can not produce the video now. (I know that duh! after 90 days even the Sam's club shelf camera systems erase history! ). Mr. Patel claimed himself to be an engineer with 25 years of experience and refused to provide any assistance. I am at a total loss as my Christmas trip was ruined, I had to pay my copay and lost a chunk of value of my one year old car. I hope you become wise and this does not happen to you.
