Reviews of The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village 4*
Awesome place. Will definitely recommend.
Best hotel in the area. A must stay place.
We had a wonderful time! Beautiful view from our room, great food and drinks and we took advantage of the water taxi ride to Fort Myers beach, complimentary bikes and happy hour! Loved strolling along the boardwalk at the marina and enjoyed the ice cream from the shop on the promenade!
So far so good. Great views. Good location.
Great location, excellent amenities, friendly staff, great atmosphere and very clean!
Such a beautiful resort. Love our accommodation.
Great Ammenities. Nice Stop On Our Vacation.
What a beautiful place this is. Back for a second time and will be back again. Great way to spend an anniversary!
We stayed here from Dec 23rd until the 30th and we had a fantastic stay! The suite was clean and had a great view with a balcony. Access to 3 pools and 2 hot tubs that were very nice with nice views. We will definitely be staying here again!
Great food & amazing service!
We loved our stay at this resort. Beautiful spacious suites, helpful staff and a superb pool. What more could we ask for?
Amazing place! Highly recommend staying here. Staff were amazing.
The staff was super fun and friendly! Food and drinks are definitely worth sampling. Rooms were very nice. I've never stayed anywhere that the hotel doors opened out so that was different.
Can't be better than han the Westin in Cape Coral Florida. What amazing sunset views. Not to mention the great restaurants and the outside bar with views of the boats coming and going.
I Love this resort. Excellent service, nice amenities — they have a boat that takes you to Ft Myers beach, nice pool and good restaurants.
Very beautiful hotel. Nice pool and Marina off the back of the hotel. The suites were very spacious with a nice balcony area.
Beautiful hotel and great atmosphere.
Pool was great and room was large.
would come back.

We had a great time and found all the guests and staff extremely friendly❤️
We had brunch at the hotel restaurant on a relatively busy Sunday morning. We were seated outside promptly with a great view of the ship harbor
our waitress was Amelia and she was amazing.
she helped my brother access an appropriate seat, was ever so kind and patient.
it was an A 1 quality experience, thanks to Amelia
we will be back.
Excellent service, excellent food. Our server, Amelia was amazing, very attentive and sweet. I highly recommend!
Had a wonderful experience for happy hour with a beautiful view. The food and drinks were impeccable. Amelia, our server at the Nauti Mermaid, was nothing short of amazing!
The room we stayed in was cleaned well! The property is well kept. The restaurants and shopping are close by and the front desk personnel were very attentive and friendly.
Great experience and very relaxing atmosphere.
So far it’s an amazing place. It’s VERY clean and the staff is awesome.
Awesome experience for our 50th anniversary! 2 bedroom suite and marina view were incredible! Wonderful kitchen area.
We love Westin. Great service, amazing location. Very relaxing.
The Nautie Mermaid is our favorite we go by boat. Excellent bartenders!
Staff not really helpful, and the elevators are a horror show. Not only are they out of date for inspection by over a week they sound so loud and screechy. I can’t believe a place that is supposed to be one of the nicest hotels in town can’t care for their elevators.
Great resort! Beautiful views and close to everything. Always love when we stay here! Highly recommend.
Beautiful place and the rate is really reasonable. We enjoyed everything at this place. Room is clean and the View is great. Took the complimentary bike rental and boat to Ft Meyer beach, great amenities. Great staff too. Will recommend to anyone.
Worked here for years. The employees are amazing and care so much about their guests! I miss spending every day here!
Very Gorgeous Resort & Hotel, with awesome views of the water, etc We love attending the military ball there every year.
This place is absolutely top notch. I had an incredible stay.
Great Place lots of boats big pool and great food. …
Wonderful staff and spectacular views!
Absolutely beautiful. View. Great entertainment great heated pool. Staff and people very friendly. Cant eait to come back next year ☺
Great hotel and lovely view.
Such a beautiful room, very friendly staff, great views and wonderful weather.
Stunning! Beautiful views, wonderful helpful staff. A little piece of Heaven!
Beautiful views! The rooms are spacious. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.
Great room, superb staff (so far). Beautiful view. Food was perfect.
Great atmosphere
Great service
Convenient location.
Love absolutely everything about this resort. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The view was gorgeous. Staff friendly. Had dinner in our room… awesome. Breakfast in bed… awesome. Dinner at the main restaurant was incredible… the Chimichurri Steak was out of this world! Excellent experience… we will definitely be back!
Great place to stay! comfortable and great staff.
A really nice feel this place has the staff is so friendly.
They have a beautiful hotel and surrounding area, a great view of the surrounding area. Everything is very accommodating without being too much.
I give it the Big Kris seal of approval.
GREAT room
great bars
great food
Awesome view
Friendly people.
Fantastic people at the Marker 92 restaurant and the Nauti Mermaid outside bar both places have great atmosphere. The bar tenders Kristin, Ronda and Karlina are so accommodating and always have service with a smile…
Very nice resort. Several restaurants and great bloody Mary.
The hotel is situated in an exclusive area in Cape Coral. Easy to get there. From valet/greeter to check in, check out, it was an excellent experience. The mairmaid bar n grill right at the marina is superb n the music is great. The whole athmosphiar was awesome. Breakfast excellent. Every associate was great and professional. Definetely gping back and recommend it 100%
Wonderful and friendly staff comfortable beds and clean room, free parking, amazing view, relax environment. Great food at the restaurant. 5 Star Service!
Overall, an excellent property and quite unique to the Westin portfolio. It’s certainly the most high-end hotel in Cape Coral by a considerable margin, and its waterfront location and onsite marina make it a draw. There are several restaurants in the marina development. The restaurants in the hotel itself are pretty sub-par in terms of both quality and value. Because this property was originally built to be a timeshare development prior to being purchased and rebranded by Westin, the rooms are MUCH larger than a standard hotel, and there are even 3 bedroom units that are absolutely incredible and perfect for large families.
Visited Weston on a Monday night to listen to some MoTown/Blues music. Beautiful bar and venue area. Music was good. Would have given 5 stars but the slowness, lack of caring by our server was horrible. Server wore a ball cap, made little or no eye contact, felt I had to look under the rim of his ball cap to see if he understood my order-what management allows staff in a class bar/restaurant to wear a ball cap pulled down? This is not a sports bar.
Great resort. The pool was great and the food was excellent. We experienced very slow table service for both breakfast and lunch, very slow. Dinner service was great! We had a top notch meal and prompt service. We will defiantly visit again.
Arrived on Friday and departed on a Monday. I reserved the one bedroom suite with a king size bed. The room type has a washer and dryer which is very convenient. Full kitchen with silverware and dishes was excellent. You can access the balcony from the bedroom or the living room via sliding glass doors. Room was very clean Restaurant: totally top-notch. Order anything from the menu, you can’t go wrong. The Florida Cobb Salad with shrimp and Grouper sandwich can’t be beat. …This is NOT your typical hotel restaurant Gym: it won’t be like the gym you are a member of at home, but still very good and better than most top hotels. Grounds: immaculate. Like being in a tropical paradise Customer service: couldn’t find a scowl on any face, customer service was excellent. Professional but laid back Parking: free and never had a problem finding a space. TV: in the king suite there are 2 TVs. Couldn’t find HBO or Showtime but they had plenty of channels Pool: nice but can get crowded. They have pool towels for you to use. This will be the only place I stay in Cape Coral from now on. It’s a jewel.
This hotel is very nice. The balconies are wonderful and screened in… But if you are by the pool you definitely need bug spray. The pool is really small for the amount of rooms they have, but nice atmosphere. The only complaint I had was our cleaning lady did no cleaning. My kid left poo stains in the toilet and it was there for 3 days. There was nothing there for me to clean it with. Also a dirty sock was under the bed which is gross because maybe no one vacuumed? And why not use fitted sheets? The sheets were everywhere when we slept. Oh. And the air conditioner needs to be on about 65 so you don't sweat at night. The shops in the village are excellent. And so is the ice cream at the gulf coast fudge place. And cheap. We loved that.
Lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very nice with great views. Restaurant food wasn't worth the money and everytime I went and ordered the same thing the price was never the same.
WOW! I don't think there is anything else to say about this place tjat could sum it up any better! Staff was superb making it a great place for interaction… the rooms were beautiful, very roomy, and very comfortable making it a great place to sleep… The beauty all around you both inside and out was breathtaking and really made it a great place for relaxation… and the topper was not just being pet friendly but they were truly friendly to pets and not just "tolerant" of them. This is not just a nice place to visit but it is rather an experience of tranquility causing your BP, heart rate, and tension to drop drastically… it's a place where the more time you spend here… the more time you want to spend here!
This place is one of the nicest Westin’s I’ve been to. The front desk staff (Anna Marie) specifically makes you feel like an executive. Came here for a few days of meetings and had my wife tag along. They treated both of us like royalty. They really go out of their way to make your experience memorable. This place is literally a fresh breath of air. The views are picture perfect. They also have great restaurants and some complimentary activities for you as well. 5 stars, highly recommend!
Everyone was wonderful. Especially Charles, he was fantastic. The place is beautiful, seems EVERYONE was amazing. I can't say enough good things about them all.
When you are greeted with what are you doing here, not such a great start. Followed up by, there is free parking the garage. If your a valet, isn't this what you want? I am just checking in. Aside from this, possibly if boating is your thing you might want to stay here. Stayed at much better places with better service. Water taxi to beach a +. Beds in room rock hard. Nice balcony.
Great location on the marina. Lots of restaurants close by. The rooms are huge and have a kitchen and lounge. Its clean and the staff are good. There are weddings here too so be prepared for fancy dressed crowds that aren't impressed by your shorts and swim top…
This is a fantastic Hotel. I truly have zero complaints. We were there for a wedding and stayed overnight for just one night. I wish we had stayed longer, because I really would have liked to have used more of the amenities. Most workout rooms and hotels are seriously below-average, but this one was great. Everything you really truly need when you're trying to work out with your normal routine is there. Machines, free weights, all the bells and whistles. The pool was also really good. You're not going to be able to swim laps or dive in, but it's perfect for families and just big enough to keep an eye on your kids while also having your own space from other people. Very comfortable lounge chairs as well. The rooms were fantastic. We had a one bedroom suite, and the place was seriously huge. My understanding is that this property was meant to be part Hotel part condo timeshares. That is very clear from the layout. Full kitchen, living room, dining table, and a very large bedroom and very large bathroom. Easily livable for days. Great Terrace. And the people working there were truly lovely. If we're ever in Cape Coral again, we will absolutely stay here. Extremely reasonable rates for such an amazing Hotel.
Easy to rate five stars on this place. It has such a serene location with the estuaries next to it. Super quiet. Great staff. Not pretentious. Well managed. Beautiful.
Beautiful views, great service and hospitality! Rooms tend to be on small side, although with the gorgeous weather and amenities you will not be spending much time in your room. :-)
We came here on family vacation to the Cape Coral Resort for Spring Break (2018). For the past 2 days, the main pool has been down; there's no cable TV working, there's only 1 shuttle to Fort Myers Beach, and the room cleaning / service has been spotty at best (old food product from prior guests still in refrigerator etc). If you're looking for a good family vacation, this resort doesn't appear to be the place! One very unhappy SPG member!
We couldn't check in to our room at 3 because there were no rooms available. We upgraded to a suite for the last night of our stay because regular room wasn't available. We received a call from front desk informing us that our room was ready and the bellhop would be up to get our luggage. We checked out of our previous room and waited an hour in the lobby for them to get our room ready. Manager was a front desk the whole time and never offered an apology. There was bags of garbage and dirty towels left in breezeway on several occasions during our stay. Main pool and hot tub were closed during our stay. We do not recommend this hotel.
The resort is even more beautiful than we expected! The 1-room suite is so nice and spacious! (Bonus to have a little washer and dryer. ) The staff has been very friendly and helpful. Having the marina village with shops next to the resort is convenient. The whole place has a fun, family-friendly vibe. I will definitely recommend this resort and we will return! :)
I am sorry to say that I had expected much more from a hotel of this category. And otherwise, Westin is also known for impeccable service (I went there for a while so often that I was in their platinum status). But here everything is different. For my double room, I was 450 euros a night off. The view from the room was not to the sea but to my liking even better. So far you can still feel OK. If, however, the pool has no adequate capacity for a hotel of this size and then also the towels go out by the pool, there seems to be something conceptually wrong. I would not expect room service before 17:00 a. M. Which was simply due to lack of capacity. But then also be so brazen and say, now or even today no more, while our daughter sits in the bathtub, has exhausted my ability to suffer completely. Unfortunately a huge/power.
I needed to change rooms to one with a shower and not a tub. It is the busy season and the hotel is booked solid. But they made it happen for me. The reason I go Platinum year after year with SPG. Consistently the best in the biz! Thanks!
Stayed one night while on our way to celebrate my birthday weekend. The staff was amazing. The room had an amazing view especially for sunrise. We arrived late but with enough time to order food before the kitchen at the restaurant closed. The food looked amazing but it lacked flavor on all levels. Our bartender Alannah was great and very attentive to us. We would definitely stay again but not eat at their restaurant.
Beautiful suites! Great service! I would recommend this place, the staff is so accommodating. This place is making house hunting bearable!
Loved our stay! Beautiful room and view from the 16th floor! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful pools and plenty of bike paths. We loved having dinner on our balcony. ❤️
Excellent service! The staff is amazing! The property has more then you can imagine. A true jewel. The new ball room is amazing. You won't go wrong booking you next event at the westin cape coral.
Great view from the screened-in patio. Maintenance was wonderful. Dog potty area is very dark and completely unlit. I keep a flashlight on my dog's leash just in case but many others do not. The large waste bin for dog waste bags was neglected, overflowing onto the ground and had not been emptied at all during my entire stay. Bellhop was very rude to myself and an entire line of patrons (6 vehicles all full of couples and families and some with pets) who were checking-in and unloading luggage from our vehicles. This continued by this man to myself and others for my entire stay. For that reason I do not plan to return, as I felt unwelcomed.
Excellent! Complete apartments with beautiful view to the marina.
Beautiful place. The lap pool was nice but we had a short debate with the caretaker as to definition of dusk. He won bit we did not agree. The beds were comfortable but for the price I would have expected the room to be pristine and it was not. A water bottle, beer bottle cap and a roll of toilet paper were under the bed. Not exactly a thorough cleaning job.
I wanted to love this hotel, but maybe bad planning here over Xmas holiday. Resort fee for simple amenities and a price I would expect for beach front. If you want a quiet place away from everything, this is the hotel for you. If you want to explore the area, probably better options at a better price out there.
Spend a week here summer 2017. Awesome place. Customer service top notch. Nice receptionist put us on a higher floor with great view. Nice quiet hotel. Standard room are large and spacious. Will definitely come back!
I was subcontracted to DJ an event at this establishment over the weekend. I was extremely pleased with the hospitality from all the workers I came in contact with during the unloading of my equipment until it was time to load and go home. The gentleman on the first floor that helps put the bags on the carts really helped me out by providing me with an extra cart to take my equipment to the upstairs ballroom. The employees working the event inside the ballroom were extremely helpful and polite during the setting up, while the gig was going and during the tear down. I have played in a lot of hotels in SWFL all the way to Miami and this has definitely been one of the best experiences. Great job to all involved.
Beautiful resort. Great attention to detail. Always making an effort to improve the experience. Staff are incredibly friendly and eager to assist. Special shout out to Anne Marie who really went out of her way to make me feel welcome and ensure my return. What a valuable member of your team! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Beautiful hotel with spectacular views. Stayed in a two bedroom suite with a lovely balcony, perfect to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee from while admiring the view. Suite bathrooms were huge! The roll away bed was like an actual twin size plush bed on wheels. Very comfy. Overall very nice stay at a beautiful place.
Excellent hidden gem. We booked the 1800 sqft 3 BR suite for six adults attending a wedding on site. There is plenty of room to unwind with great views of Tarpon Point marina and the lower Caloosahachee. All staff was first rate and the wedding was really well done. Being at the southwest edge of Cape Coral it was a bit of a drive down to Naples and Sanibel. Ft Myers' First Street is about 20 minutes. Not a big deal if you are taking it easy.
We have visited friends at the Westin before but had not stayed there till just this weekend and all I can say is, I can’t wait to go back again! The service was outstanding. From the moment we checked-in to the moment we checked-out. The most happiest, friendliest, welcoming, professional staff I’ve had the pleasure of encountering. We have stayed in many resorts and by far, the Westin was top notch. Tae, Amanda and Nancy were outstanding. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite overlooking the marina and it was stunning. Very spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I will certainly miss that gorgeous view, the sunrise every morning and sunset every evening was simply breathtaking. The heavenly beds were just that, heavenly. It was like sleeping on a cloud. When relaxing in the living room, we were blown away by the Bose sound system, it made watching TV feel like you were at the movie theater. Oh and let me not forget being able to wake up every morning to a fresh brewed pot of Starbucks coffee. Delicious! After all, it’s our favorite coffee brand and they also had Dasani water which is also another favorite brand. It was truly a Wonderful Getaway and I can’t wait to be back again next month in November. My new home away from home.
The room we got was not clean. There was crumbs all over the couch and a sock from the previous guest. Our shower has mold/mildew all over the tile and even around the window. The door the the next room on the patio which was on our balcony patio had something all over it, looked like vomit to be honest. The hotel room could have been way more enjoyable had it actually been cleaned properly. We ordered breakfast on our first morning and when we put the tray outside our door not even 30 minutes later no one ever picked it up. The cleaning person came through our hallway and passed it without picking the tray up. The tray literally sat in front of our door until the next day. The restaurant food was way overpriced and not worth what we paid. I don't mind spending that kind of money if the food is good, but it simply wasn't. I could go into details but instead I'll just say we went out of the area to eat dinner on our second day, had zero desire to eat that food again.
My visit was a site overview for a conference next year. All the staff members we were in contact with were courteous and helpful. We had lunch on the property and the food was very good.
Very, very nice facility. I was very impressed with the level of service given from the staff at the conference I attended. The facility was very clean and we'll taken care of. They are making a few additions but you will never know because there was no noise or mess while we were inside of the rooms. Very nice place indeed.
Excellent hotel, incredible staff… best breakfast my family has ever had. The staff is all happy and they are polite. We went this weekend and are going back next weekend. I have spent over 3000 nights in hotels and I am very impressed with this resort. Highly recommend you should try a weekend.
Wonderful getaway Resort. Clean, quiet and out from the city. Offers free shuttle to Fort Myers Beach, book it is worth it. Also they offer pay tours to differents activities and areas. Free bike rides perfect to families. I would like more games and amenities around the hotel for families. Nice pool and food offers are good. They have 3 restaurants around. I have a good weekend in this resort.
The Weston Cape Coral is a magnificent dog friendly hotel. The hotel and the entire grounds are breathtaking! We stayed for a month and our suite was very clean and extremely comfortable. The heavenly bed was wonderful, I woke up refreshed every morning. The entire staff was great, they not only treated me and my husband like royalty, they treated my fur baby like he was a king! They were so good to him and treated the 3 of us like we were family. I highly recommend the Weston Cape Coral, you will not be disappointed!
Before I have even checked in; when I reserved my stay I input the details of requesting a bottle of champagne chilled and ready on my arrival. When I got my confirmation reservations it stated nothing about this. I called in to confirm and they stated I had to do it online, found that odd and not 5 star service but okay. I went to their website like so many of us do with our mobile devices and nothing. I called again, stated how odd that such a high end resort cannot just prepare a bottle for me in my room, they stated they cannot take cards over the phone. I asked why this is not something you can just charge to the room and they stated they do not have the computer system for it, odd again. I alone (was not informed by the staff of the hotel) found out that if you are on the mobile site you will not see the same things from when you are on your PC, even though the staff insisted it was there. So far, not impressed and I am not even checked in yet. Figures crossed nothing else goes wrong I really just want to take a few days to get away and check out from day to day life and be catered to. I am always willing to pay for the service but I'm feeling a little put off.
My husband and I stay here once a year and absolutely love it. It is truly a Resort with all the amenities that go with it. We stay in their one bedroom condo and it is luxurious, quiet, comfortable and has everything you need to make you feel at home. Plus, the screened balcony is incredible with a spectacular view. A perfect place for breakfast or an evening cocktail. The staff is wonderful and will do whatever you need to make your stay perfect. We highly recommend it and the location on the marina is exquisite. This is a beautiful city and the Westin makes it perfect.
A little intimidating in size and accessibility, but a beautiful facility. Wonderful staff from the security gate to the front desk, concierge and bellhop. Plentiful parking. Full disability access everywhere I went. Waterviews are amazing. Good food in both the restaurants and room service… imaginative, nutritious, pairings of food. The rooms are very big (I had a double queen) with very comfortable beds and linens, a screened balcony overlooking the waterways, nice bathroom is big with a veritable stack of pristine towels and lovely soaps and shampoos. I found the decor in the rooms a bit unimaginative, but perhaps because I live in Key West surrounded by tropical colors all the time. I only stayed two days but will definitely consider staying longer next time.
What a lovely, clean resort. We stayed in a two bedroom suite on the 18th floor that was comfortable and had the most amazing view. Fitness center was very nice. The food was okay. We will definitely be back.
Great hotel, middle of no where (in terms of beach, fun or any sporting activities). Rooms are big, it's a big hotel, +220 rooms. Bikes are available, but the bikes paths are limited. Overall, great stay, though not cheap!
Amenities were wonderful. Very polite staff, and very helpful. Rooms are amazing. Very comfortable place to stay.
The dog-friendly outside bar was very nice. Most areas were well shaded from the hot sun and our server quickly brought water for our dogs. The food was better than expected and the one drink ordered was delicious. The service wasn't slow, but wasn't fast. Would definitely go back again, maybe when it's a little cooler outside.
Location is great, little isolated, rooms wonderful and service is wonderful.
Even if you don’t have a room here it’s a great place to come and explore. If you have a bike its easier to see the whole place. If you follow one of the roads all the way around, you can get to where the boats are and on the dock you can walk right past them. It was really cool to see some of them going out into the water rather than just in there slip. I did like that we were able to see them up-close too.
Excellent price. Great staff. Luxury rooms. Great place.
Everything is very well-maintained and nice, and there are plenty of attractions and restaurants to visit without even leaving the grounds!
Beautuful … nice people… great apt. Clean clean clean… great shops.
We ate at Pinchers. The Mahi Mahi was excellent. The veiw was fabulous.
Such a beautiful hotel, I've stayed here a few times and every time is just perfect!
Rooms are clean and spacious. Great amenities. Fun bar and restaurant environment.
Spacious rooms but they're not the quietest. You can hear people walking above your room. Friendly staff. Most everything is a 15 minute drive from the hotel.
Friendly staff. Very Clean. BEAUTIFUL Location and private. We stayed for our 1 year anniversary with no regrets.
Great brunch. Superb services and rooms. We enjoyed the good food at the hotels restaurants. No way to compare with any place around.
We spent 6 nights at the Westin Cape Coral, the place was awesome, the food and accomodations were great, the views and the Marina were also very good, the staff was very accommodating especially Michael & David (the outside staff). We got back to the Hotel one night around 10pm, as we were walking by the front desk, we informed them that we had a problem with the air conditioning, they said they will send someone right away, as soon as we got to the room there was a knock on the door, and within 15 minutes the air conditioning was working, next time we are looking to stay in Cape Coral it will be at the Westin.
So I book a room here mid week over the phone through the Westin reservations department with a super outgoing friendly guy (that is apparently too daft to spell as he butchered my name). He takes my credit card info, asks me to spell my name 3 times and tells me that I am all set and if I need to cancel to do so by a certain date. I told him, no problem, visiting friends that are flying in from England and would not miss it for the world. I arrive Saturday to be told by the front desk that I have no reservation, I stand at the front desk for 45 minutes before finally the guy tells me that I need to book another room… so I do that being reassured that my card will not be run for missing the ghost reservation I've made. I upgrade to a 2 bedroom master suite that has a great view but paid well over 300 for my one night stay as I also valeted for 50 bucks! I thought the guy said 15… 50 for one night is highway robbery! The hotel itself is nice but not really located to much of anything. 1 small pool, and 2 decent restaurants, decent amenities, pretty nice place… too bad I had such a terrible experience with the staff. I notice during on Friday the following week that I have been charged twice, once for 201 and change, and another for 350… this pretty much sets me into a rage. I call to complain and am transferred to a voicemail 3 times.
First class service great personal attention people were fantastic I would highly recommend anybody anybody that wants a real 5 star resort this is where you need to go to got that from the Blue Max baby the blues man don't have no blues when he's there.
Very well kept. Beautiful place. Great staff. Great service.
Beautiful grounds perfect pool and courteous staff.
We just finished a 6 day stay at the Westin in Cape Coral and had to share how wonderful it was. To start, the location in a marina surrounded by a preserve is picture book perfect. The people everywhere were truly positive and uplifting. Whether they were the guests, the staff, the boaters, or the fish, we had no issues and more importantly, they were happy and smiling. The staff, both in the resort and in the surrounding restaurants were attentive and pleasing making any request their pleasure to address. The room was clean and well attended and the concierge knowledgeable and helpful. Front desk, bellman, room service, and pool side attendants were all going above and beyond any requested need. We had the choice to stay on the Fort Lauderdale or Cape Coral. We are sooooo happy we chose Cape Coral and will definitely return. For clarification, we were a family of four but saw others as couples, multi-generation families, and families with children from 3 months to 20 somethings. If you are family interested in vaca that is restful, no work, clean, and safe, chose the Westin Cape Coral.
Huge room (Mariner Suite), great views, excellent service.
First the good: — killer views from your balcony onto the mangroves, stayed in a spacious 2BR/2 bath unit with big balcony on 13 th floor. — Nicely decorated unit, very spacious, dryer/washer etc, full kitchen, big bathroom — more a typical FL apartment style than the usual Westin character (Westin acquired the property 15 mths ago) — tastefully decorated lobby, state-of-the-art gym Con: — room access from outdoor floors (motel style) — dirty, very superficial cleaning — restricted to doing beds/ towel service. Our feet were constantly black even after a shower. One day, my husband stayed in the room and noticed the cleaner spending about 10 min only — pool and bars and restaurants right at the bottom of the rooms/ apartments with ppl partying/screaming until midnight, kids screaming in the pool and music playing until 11 pm — kids/ fam (or cleaners? ) moving the balcony metal chairs for hrs/ horribly noisy in early am — really out of the way in a residential area in the middle of nowhere. About 1-1.5hr realistic drive to fort Myers beach, Sanibel or any other beach close by due to traffic — Wi-Fi and cell coverage nightmare. During our 3 days stay I never managed to access the Internet on my computer, or iPad and ver limited in iPhone (poor cell coverage with constant dropped calls).
I don't plan to stay at this resort again. It may be labeled a Westin, but it doesn't act like a Westin. I've never wrote a bad review for a Starwood property, but I feel this one deserves one. I work to remain a Gold Member so that I can access a few rewards and upgrades on the few family vacations we take. I called and asked for an early check-in and was denied. I booked with points, so was not able to book a suite of any kind and figured I would talk through that at check-in. I had to ask about an upgrade and was denied and told to ask again in the morning. I did that each of our four days and was denied each time. We spent our four nights there in the most basic room in the hotel. The first three nights of our trip we stayed at a resort that treated us excellent (with no affiliation to them). Then we moved to the brand that we've been very loyal to for many years and were treated like a nuisance. I was really hoping to make this a yearly stay in the Fort Myers area for Spring Training, but I would prefer to use my points for flights and stay at a hotel that rewards us or at least attempts to improve our stay. Other Notes: The pool is not friendly for little kids. Minimum depth is 3 feet. There is another pool, but you have to walk a block or two and invade a condo set-up. Very weird. The restaurant is very upscale, so we didn't want to bring our kids in. Started in the bar area, but it was way too loud for our kids and went outside.
How sad the location is amazing but after a 5 hour drive lo and behold our Miami Heat team final game could only be watched in the bar after 2 hours of advising to staff that T. V. Was not working and were advised that TV's are on a DIFFERENT SATELLITES. Do u have different satellite Westin's becoming greedy.
Missed wake up calls. Great service! Excellent rooms.
When we checked in the woman at the front desk was wonderful. I told her it was our anniversary and she upgraded us to a room on a higher floor and it was beautiful. The resort itself is absolutely lovely overlooking the water with a great pool and outdoor eating area. There is access to 2 other pools which we took advantage of when the main pool was crowded. The food in the bar and restaurant was very good and the staff mostly friendly. The biggest downfall is the location. There isn't much to do right in Cape Coral so you have to drive to Fort Myers and there is a toll everytime you want to go. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.
