My wife and I just enjoyed a very enchanting week the the Bungalows”. Even a hurricane could not spoil our incredible experience! Each Bungalow has it’s own individual charm, you can’t go wrong with any of them. The staff is extremely attentive to your stay. They kept us totally aware of what was going on with the hurricane and gave us plenty of time to move to high ground and out of harms way. After it passed they welcomed us back with open arms and we settled in to a state of relaxation we had never before enjoyed.

We recently stayed in the Mermaid. Nice clean room with plenty of space. Direct view of the ocean. Staff are always accommodating, kind and on point. This is our 2nd year visiting and we will for sure be back.

Pool right next to bungalow 111, so convienient, whole resort very cute, quaint,. No need to explore island pool and beach right there hospitality was awesome. Definitely will go back again. I give this resort a 10.

This place is beautiful! Steps to the beach! Staff and owner are friendly and helpful. The cabin we stayed was small (perfect size for us! ) quiet, perfect. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Hidden Gem! Perfect location to enjoy walking distant to beach, bars, restaurants, ice cream & so much more! Our room was very clean, private, and absolutely perfect for our couple getaway. 10/10 recommended & will definitely be back!

We just left the most picturesque, relaxing vacation for my retirement and our 40th anniversary. Our Bungalow was clean and all we needed. The staff are more than accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

The close proximity to the beach can’t be matched. Quiet atmosphere & friendly staff. Sunsets will take your breath away. The staff do a remarkable job cleaning between each booking. Within walking distance to many of our favorite places to eat.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at Bungalow Beach Resort. It was our first time staying there and we will definitely return. The staff and guests are super friendly and the rooms are decorated in a warm, cozy atmosphere. It is situated directly on the beach so all you need to do is walk out of your room, grab a beach chair and enjoy the beautiful gulf and warm sun. It is so close to lots of shops and great restaurants. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed!

We recently stayed here and we had a few issues with housekeeping. Reached out to the owner and she took great care of us. The location and views are spectacular. The staff was super nice and accommodating. What could have been a negative review it’s now a great review!

We spent a week at 104 Hibiscus and it was nothing but amazing. We loved being there and cannot wait to go back! Everyone was so friendly and the staff was so amazing. The bungalows are adorable and just perfect. Thank you to the fabulous staff for making our stay so wonderful.

Absolutely my favorite place I’ve stayed and we travel a LOT. This was the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Sooooo charming! We walked right out on beach. I loved how it reminded me of cottages long ago on beach when I was a little girl. Staff was great, room was clean and bright … nothing like your average hotel or condo, which is why I fell in love with it! We are already making plans to return ❤️

A wonderful 7 day vacation right on the gulf. Beautiful sunsets. Locally located to beachside towns for a terrific variety of restaurants & shopping. Worth rebooking for my third year!

Stayed in the Catamaran pool home and it was lovely! Service is great — super responsive. A little loud on the main road but the pool courtyard was private and perfect. Just a text for anything we needed.

We stayed here for a few days for our first trip to Anna Maria Island. The resort is very friendly and the room were very clean and well presented with a few amenities. It was nice that you could walk out your door to the beach and see the breathe taking sunrise and sunset. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

We spent a month here on vacation and I must say everything was excellent! The location of the resort is great, it has its own private beach, I would definitely reccomend this resort to others. My husband brought me here in February for my 60th birthday! Absolutely loved it here! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I always wanted to stay somewhere right on the beach and this is what I always dreamed of! Hopefully we get to stay here again!

I treated myself to a week in the Hibiscus bungalow. How amazing to sleep by the sea, wake to the sun, walk among shells! Bungalow Beach Resort is such a special place — I will definitely be back! Such love.

The staff were kind & helpful, the rooms were private & clean, and the beach was beautiful & only steps away! It exceeded all our expectations. We cannot wait to visit again!

We wanted to stay right on the beach … this is that and so much more. Very quaint bungalows with a shabby chic feel. Walking right out the door to the beach and gulf and to have dolphins swimming by in the morning — breathtaking! Loved it! The staff really makes you feel welcome.

This is the best place on Anna Maria Island! Friendly staff, right on an uncrowded beach, clear blue water, comfortable and well appointed cottages, spectacular sunsets, in an amazing old Florida setting. It’s perfect for families and romantic getaways. We hated to leave this tropical paradise and can’t wait to come back!

I was there on June 6 thru 10th. Stayed in the Private Bungalow across the street 115. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the bungalow was clean and cozy. We were steps from the beach, and they have tons of beach chairs for their guests. The beds are super comfy. I loved every inch of this place. Yes the pool tiles have some chips and if you are looking for flaws you will probably find it. Personally I am there for the beach which was perfect, the bungalow which was cozy, and the food which the front desk was more than happy to give recommendations. Take mine and go to The Waterfront. Its amazing.

Such a beautiful place we stayed here 2x and we got married on the island May 18, 2019 it was amazing would definitely recommend.

If you want to stay right on this beautiful beach and not across the street, this is the place. Our room was extremely clean and the staff is top notch. They have a small pool and a place to do laundry. Parking is tight, but it is free. There is a communal area with grills and charcoal and we saw a lot of people hanging out together. There are also free beach floats to use. The downside is that this is an older hotel and it does need updating. We booked at the last minute and took the only available room which is also the smallest. It is an adorable room, but our air conditioner was very loud and our bed was not very comfortable. I am still giving 5 stars, because of the location, the staff & the 'Old Florida' feel. If you are looking for a fancy resort or updated amenities, this is probably not the place to go, but if you are looking for a place to relax on the beautiful beach for a night or two, this the perfect place.

I have stayed here many times with my family and we absolutely love Bungalow Beach Resort! The friendly staff (can pretty much find or get you anything you need — from dinner reservations to bottle openers), clean rooms, courtyard grilling/fire pit area, quite old Florida style resort, and of course being directly on the beach are all the reasons we keep coming back :) Love it!

Loved the place. Rooms are exactly as advertised: “rustic chic” — but super clean and well kept. Sheets and towels were big and clean… We stayed in the Dolphin room — has a small view of the beach from our patio… and a few steps from the sand. Lounge chairs are in a corral that I likened to “Business Class” — our own little spot. People were super friendly. AC was a wall unit, which was typical and noisy — but it drown out other sounds, so maybe its a benefit! I would definitely return.

For the "Parrot room" First the good; Does have mid 20th century old Florida charm. Excellent access to the beach. Very near everything you may want. Owner operated. The bad; Wi-Fi was non-existent (bad router according to owner). Laminate floor was buckled by bed. AC unit was loud (we shut it off at night). Entry door outside light not working. None of the courtyard/grounds lights were on at night (it was not loggerhead turtle hatching time). We enjoyed our 2 night stay, however, for $500+ you expect more.

I loved the antique bungalow concept! Loved the simple decor allowing the ocean, beach and sky to fill in the colors. Loved the small deck one step from the sand. Owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was chilly in January so bring layers to stay warm in the morning and evening.

The Bungalow Beach Resort is an absolutely amazing little getaway that is so incredibly beautiful peaceful and serene. Anytime I need to get away from the rat race this is the place I go for peace and quiet and a chance to breathe…

Great little rental in a quiet part of the island. The unit was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the unit with it's own private pool, unfortunately the heater was not working. As it was January the pool was too cold to enjoy. Thus I had to remove one star.

Great service, stuff very helpful. The beach is great, peaceful and clean. Great environment for couples. However our sunset bungalow is VERY small, not enough room for 2 people. Also we had an issue with hot water, so few times was taking shower with cold water.

Stayed in “The Mermaid” room. Amazing view right on the beach! Quaint small property. Friendly staff. Close to the pier with a variety of restaurants and shops.

Bungalow Beach Resort was a refreshing change to the normal hotel chains. We really enjoyed our stay especially when you are only 50 yards from the white sand beach. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Bungalow was clean, cozy and close to a lot of restaurants. Will definitely return!

The front desk personnel were very friendly and accommodating, as well as the house keeping staff. The place was very well kept and extremely clean. The room was right on the white sand beach and just 50 yards to the blue water, the sunsets where amazing while sitting on the back deck, with a glass of wine! The TV had cable and plenty of movies as well as tables for a good chess game. Equipped with grills and a fire pit, private sitting areas and swimming pool on site. Lots to do in the area and a beach bar / restaurant within walking distance just down the beach, for a sunset walk. Defiantly a do again!

Very quiet cozy and very clean. We arrived at 8pm and never had to check in, keys were at the office door as they said. Although the weather was not on our side we still had a great time and even managed to catch a few fish right on the beach. I will definitely be back for more than just one night. This little place is amazing. Upon arrival, we were immediately upgraded to the best bungalow at no additional cost. It was a beautiful little bungalow that had an ocean view and walked right out onto the beach. The sand is white and the water is gorgeous. It was the perfect place and the fact that I proposed, to my (now fiance) girlfriend right there in that setting, made it magical. We will definitely be coming back.

Nice cabins. They even have one with its one private pool and that pretty awesome. Staff was really friendly and informative. Parking was not so great. But location wise, you can't really expect it to be the best. We enjoyed our stay. Just needs a bit more of a touch up and maintenance.

Stayed in the Hibiscus room. Glass doors to the porch look right at the beach. Beach is not crowded whatsoever. A little bit pricey but it's worth it. Very well located to small shops and restaurants that you can walk to in minutes. Will definitely come back sometime.

This warm and inviting resort is the perfect Florida getaway. Immediately when you come through the door your welcomed by Paula or the owner Gayle. They are helpful and quickly point out the free transportation around the island and suggest great places to see while visiting Anna Maria Island.
The resort is centrally located so that you are close to restaurants and bars to the south on bridge street or the many restaurants on the north end. Cory and Sammie are quick to help and keep your room ready to go for any of your needs. This family friendly resort, is perfect for kids as the beach is in excellent condition, and yet if you seek nightlife, a quick ride on the trolley or Monkey Bus and your ready for a fun filled evening.
I've grown up here and stayed at a number of places on AMI, but I have to say in all my years, no place topped Bungalow Beach Resort. Even the maintenance man (Steve) was warm and friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. If you come to Anna Maria Island, Bungalow Beach Resort should be your first choice. Last minute room booking and got the only available room. We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay. Got probably the worst room on property as far as view. Room smells anazing and my bed was very comfortable and bedding was fluffy like a cloud. All white and driftwood look. I'm sure we could have found and much better room on the beach for the 200 we spent I had about 10 minutes so I just drove into the first place that looked cute. There was also a very cute little hang out area Bungalow style fire pit.

Awesome atmosphere in a quiet and very laid back setting.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to rest our heads and be at the beach. The BBR definitely fit the bill! We checked in 4/18/16. Alley was friendly and helpful. She told us about local attractions and restaurants and explained how things were done at the resort. The staff never went in our room, they just wanted us to leave a list of our needs in a basket and they would get them for us. This I liked. Everyday we would swim in the pool and go to the beach. The beach was right in our back yard! We came and went as we pleased. Slowed us right down to enjoy this small slice of paradise. So if you're a high maintenance kind of person, you will be disappointed. But if you just want to chill by the beach, enjoy the beautiful Anna Maria Island, you'll be happy here. Go ahead… book it. And relax!

A Pristine location directly Gulf front. This place oozes with Old Florida charm and elegance. Can't wait to return. Stepped off our porch right into the sand and within a few steps more you're at the water.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here! Friendly and informative staff. The rooms are quaint and nice. Right on the beach. When we checked in the young lady at the desk gave us all sorts of advise on places to eat, what to do etc. Loved the idea of putting towels etc in the basket with a list of what was needed and setting it outside the door. We were never bothered by staff, yet taken care of nicely. Will stay here again!

Ive personally had a number of my clients stay here when they are traveling through coming to see me! Each and every one of them had an excellent experience during there stay! I recommend Bungalow Beach Resort to everyone that wants to stay in beautiful Sarasota!

The staff, beach and island was awesome. I expected more out of the bungalow especially for 300 night (unit 12). The worst part is the window unit a. C. Directly above the bed. Good Luck getting a good night sleep. The only other complaints is the tiny tiny shower and countertops made of plywood.

Right across from a private beach are these lovely, spacious, and comfortable units. Rental staff is overworked in my opinion, but that doesn't stop them from giving great service. Wish the pool were a little warmer in the winter.

Just home from a 5 day stay with my sister and my 2 boys. The place is as amazing in person as the pictures show! Clean, friendly, convenient and breath taking view! We already plan on returning next year! Thanks Bungalow Beach Resort for such a relaxing vacation!

This place is charming and wonderful! I had a mess up with another reservation down the street (place was misrepresented online and was really crappy/smelly) and so I drove to the Bungalow Beach and LUCKED out that they had an open bungalow. Ally, the reservation manager, was so helpful and kind. I got unpacked in time to walk a few steps to the sand and watch the sun set over the Gulf. I highly highly recommend Bungalow Beach.

Stayed 10 days last year and it was the best vacation I have ever had, nothing but old Florida charm. The whole place sold me but the best thing is no steps, no elevators your room sits right on the sand. If you want to go to the room for a nap its only a few steps away. It will be hard to ever go and stay anywhere else once you've been here. If I can't stay here I may just forget it and stay in Kentucky. If you want a quiet, easy laid back and relaxing vacation this is it. My favorite room is the Tortuga.

Their website makes the place look great. However, the customer service is terrible. They will screw you over or just ignore any request. You are better off staying at a smaller place. This place has a big company mentality where the only thing that matters is their bottom line.

The best quiet destinations you could ever stay at. My wife and I spent our honeymoon here years ago. We had such a wonderful time. We've stayed here for our anniversary each year. My wife and I are looking forward to another great anniversary weekend with great weather at the Bungalow Beach Resort.
