Review of Holiday Inn Resort Panama City Beach, an IHG Hotel 3*

I will never go back to this place. We had the worst beach experience of our lives. Yes it was during spring break so I guess you could say we should have known better. But the resort bills itself as family/kid friendly. We were not the only family there that make the mistake of thinking the Holiday Inn Resort would provide a decent family friendly atmosphere and we were also not the only family checking out early and demanding a refund. Obnoxious teens was to be expected, however what we immediately found out was that the obnoxious hotel was itself created, encouraging and contributing to what I would describe as a living hell. 5000 kids, drining and smoking pot on the beach Right in front of the hotel. Not down the beach or in front of other hotels. Very specifically in front of the Holiday Inn because they are called there by the hotel. The hotel blasts loud obnoxious club music from 11 am until 3 am in the morning. I would say about half that time was playing the same techno song on repeat. They have obviously made the decision to cater to the teens and all their desires at the expense of the responsible families that just want to enjoy the beach during spring break. Take my advice. Unless you are a teen that is hell bent on getting drunk and stone to the cranked up techno music at all hours of the night then you Do Not want to stay at the Holiday Inn or even anywhere near it. The hotel has become the mecca for juvenile delinquents and they are very proud of that distinction.
