What is your problem, people? I’m referring to the few comments made by some about this NICE hotel’s cleanliness, housekeeping and staff “needing improvements”. Unless when you booked your stay the rates were outrageously high and because of that your own attitude and personality took a slight drop, which in turn brought every one you encountered down to your own level at the time, there’s nothing negative that can be said about the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Marco Polo Hotel. I’ve visited Miami just half a dozen times in my 74 years of existence but, this is my first stay at the 3 Star (not a 4 or 5), rated Ramada Plaza. I booked my 2 nights stay by calling the hotel chain directly and, to my surprise, their room spaciousness, views, cleanliness, staff service and cordiality, location as well their valet and concierge services their rate is truly a bargain! I plan on visiting the Miami and the Florida Keys (first time) again within the next couple of years and the Marco Polo will be my “home base” while in the area as it simply offers the best rate for the money.

The stay here was amazing but it became even better when I met our housekeeper CARLA ROMERO. She was absolutely amazing and very helpful. If I needed more soap or towels she would very kindly give us more. She cleaned our room very well that I could not believe that it was our room. She changed the sheets all the time and the pillows. I have never had this great service until Now. I loved making small talk with her. This hotel would have gotten a 3 start if it wasn’t for Carla SHE made me give this resort a FIVE STAR! I totally recommend her survice with out a doubt. I did ask some other housekeepers If I could get some soap and they made a very ugly face and didn’t want to give me any but with Carla Romero I’m 100% sure that won’t happen to you. Please make sure to ask for her service when you book a room here because I’m sure you would not regret it! ILL BE SURE TO COME BACK LATER THIS YEAR!

Great hotel with nice pool and access to the ocean.

The staff was friendly enough, but the hotel desperately needs renovation. It's like they hadn't put any money into the place for several decades. The furnishings were falling apart, the walls were damaged and poorly patched in multiple places, and our shower was growing mold in the grout. On top of that, somehow this is considered a "resort", likely due to its proximity to the beach, so we were subsequently charged a $14 "resort fee". The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is that it was likely an affordable option compared to the surrounding hotels, but honestly, I highly recommend you make a different choice until leadership invests substantial money into renovating this hotel.

Very old hotel and room with kitchen there are rooms on the ocean there is a first line on the road.

The lobby is perfect, but not the rooms. All this is a façade without quality. In the bathtub of my room, the painting was taking off, not too eager to take a bath in it… The worst: breakfast. You have to ask for the water, and the juices are not free while in a lot of motel, Yes. Otherwise the view is really good, the pool perfect and they distribute the towels. The beach is amazing.

I can say is that it needs updates. It's about 20 years past due. Everything looks like it was bought in 1990. Had to beg for towels and wash cloths. Had to provide our own toilet paper. This place is far from a 4 star. This place is good if everything else is booked up.

The room 629 smelt like mildew when we got there, very uncomfortable the first night and on top of that, the front desk staff was rude about some towels. The valet was absolutely horrible. They were the rudest people i’ve ever met. The second night was better the room actually smelt pretty clean! But the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been renovated sibce the 1970’s. I pay good money for the things that I like. So, long story short, this was a horrible hotel. NOT recommended.

You see it was in full restoration. The room was fine, normal. Excellent outfit. There was No window to open. Just glass. It was sealed. Bathroom old but excellent shower.

Love my room and the staff is friendly and anybody answers any questions. My room had the ocean view. I love it.

This hotel has most of its rooms completely renovated. It has the most clean and spacious beaches. And the location is excellent.

I’m giving a 5 star rating based on our experience so far. After reading the other reviews I now laugh at the others that complain about a resort built decades ago. From the moment we checked in, the service has been on point in every area of the hotel. We are paying $850 for 5 nights which sure beats the hell out of the $6, 000 I have paid to stay at a sandals resort. Visitors seem to be from all around word which is great because the small talk is short and friendly. We still have 3 nights left and Im sure we will continue to have a good and comfortable stay.

Full Hotel, down to the beach, heated pile, rooms with refrigerator kitchen. Full. Not modern but very good hotel.

We were staying on February 2018. They did the debit on my card for the warranty but it was not yet returned. I call but I don't get an answer.

Absolutely filthy hotel. Windows Dirty/furniture Gammlig/edges of furniture were Schimmellig and Aufgeqollen/dirty/old facilities/bathroom in bad condition/dirty shower head/Rusty Tub demolish rebuild would be great.
Parking pigs expensive. As the hotel looks the parking €1 would have to cost the night.

I booked a king sized bed with ocean view and they didn’t have the room available, they gave me a very dusty room where the shower didn’t work. Then they changed me to another room it was a little better but still very dusty. The house keeping never came to clean the room. I will never stay at this place again.

The location is the best thing about the hotel, but there were a few issues with basic necessities. Good thing my boyfriend is very handy. He fixed the toilet a few times and a couple things fell down in the bathroom such as a metal plate that goes behind the knob of the bathtub. There was also a dried up stain on the sheets that looked like blood. Housekeeping should have noticed and thrown that sheet away. The staff were very unfriendly an uninviting, but it could be part of a language barrier, since English was a second language for most of the staffing. The room was fantastic and we loved the location, but the hotels can use some serious upgrades. The entire experience could have been much different if they at least had more helpful and friendly staff that were easier to understand.

Very bad reception on behalf of a very grumpy American. The room gives back to the elevator you hear the noise of it all day. Besides all the noises of the people. A place not recommended. We rent by means of AirBNB. I wouldn't go back. Not good value for money.

For a budget holiday with no pretensions, on the beach of Miami.

Spectacular, good attention. And beautiful sea views. Great food and music to dance and enjoy.

It's an old hotel. The pool is very nice and comfortable. The exit to the beach… great. Good location 40 min from the outlets. Good deal. The rooms with kitchen come well if you go many days to avoid always eating outside.

The room is nice. The bathroom had no good smell just like the hallways that gave an old look.

Not friendly staff in the restaurant, the food is tasteless. The rooms are old, shabby. The air conditioning is rammed so that it is impossible to sleep. Under the windows passes the highway, you can sleep only under anesthesia. Never again!

Good staff, but the old and poorly maintained facilities, a smell of strong food in the hallways every day, plus very expensive to be in such bad condition, plus for the value not even included breakfast… very bad Experience.

It was very. Stay away from this place!

The hotel is away from many bars and restaurants and the hotel facilities lack somewhat. The rooms and amenities are dated and could definitely do with some updating. If possible ask for a room away from the road as the windows are very thin and the traffic starts early and finishes late, also there is construction in the area. The service is hit and miss with some really great members of staff and some not so great. However good location for the beach as the hotel sits right on the beach front.

Beachfront rooms are amazing. Took away one star because they do not have a parking lot/garage on the hotel. You have to pay them extra to park your car across the street. Huge inconvenience. Overall the staff are friendly, professional and the rooms are kept clean. Close to lot shops, bars Etc…

Great location. Had an amazing ocean view from the balcony. The hotel is very dated and is in dire need of renovation. In room cleanliness was great as long as you ignore all the old furniture, the bathroom and other amenities.

Located on the first line next to the ocean. There is a swimming pool, a gym, a lot of shops where you can buy a hat and sunscreen, in a 5 min taxi ride there is a shopping mall, as well as public transport.

I loved this wonderful site and I would like to give you an opinion on this nice place. An excellent place to share with your family and friends. No doubt a place to all give. I recommend it with all my heart. Amen.

Just to mention 2 employees. One is Marie that works near the pool and Nadia who is at the fitness center. They both are very pleasant to deal with and both have a beautiful smile that puts you in a real good mood. They made a difference in our stay even though they don't have the most glamorous job.

A very good hotel to go with family to relax. It has entrance to the beach, they rent you umbrellas and they give you towels. They have a large swimming pool, restaurants, souvenir shop and a bar. The staff were very friendly and habitacionea.

Great Hotel Classy and not too expensive! Beachfront, Bar, resraurants, art galleries, shops, gym and swimming pool. Really cool.

For those who want to spend a vacation in Miami on the beach without spending the crazy figures that all new hotels in the place ask… a little dated, but just for this style "old Miami", offers good value for money and all the services of the most noble Adjoining skyscrapers, at a third of the price. Recommend the Ocean front rooms.

Overall I'd say that it's an okay hotel. I'm also not paying the bill so keep that in mind as well. The cleaning staff this far have come through and cleaned at inconsistent times of the day. The beds are comfortable and for 2 people comfortably.

The stay here us good if you want to spend your time enjoying the beach. Although it is far from the main attractions so plan to spend time and money to get there and come back. Also, the spring bed to my surprise had couple of loose springs which squeaked sometimes.

Old Hotel and not very well maintained. The beach could hardly be used because they were working machines. The kitchen in the room had very few utensils. Yes well it was for four, the room only had 2 chairs.

No self parking, just $20/day Valet Parking. The hotel is located in a beautiful area surrounded by luxury and beautiful buildings. Has an amazing beach front, decent size swimming pool. Carpets on every floor are the worst thing about this hotel. They should do some renovation and take off the Carpet because in some floors the carpet smells bad. Some of the employees at the front desk are friendly and some others are not friendly at all.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the room was very clean. The cupboards have a damp smell but except that's a good hotel.

If you have a car, you must pay a valet parking fee even if you booked a room here. I wasn't too happy about that. The room I had came equipped with a kitchenette which was unexpected but wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Unfortunately during this stay, I did not need to use the facilities there so it was useless. The building seems to need some upgrades especially when you're walking down the hall to find your room.

Good view of all the rooms on the ocean, the main thing is not to the road, the building is built in the middle of the last century, shabby luxury so to speak, but everything functions decently, restaurants bars, laundry, a good pizzeria in the plinth there is delivery to the apartment, The value for money is 100 percent the same!

The attention is excellent and we were very satisfied with the place and the people. It's to go again. Very warm people.

Good oceanfront location, right on the beach, with pool, large solarium with bar and restaurant service. The construction is however very old and neglected, both in terms of structure and furnishings: evidently, for several decades they have not made renovations anymore. Everything looks decadent, in the lobby there is a bad smell of mildew and humidity, old and stained carpets, scuffed doors, old fixtures with thin and non-soundproofed glass. Frankly you don't expect to find such a neglected hotel in Miami, it looks like a third World hotel. The only good thing is the room and the very comfortable.

Suite on the top floor was big but totally unused! An attempt was made to save something with Ikea accessories (unsuccessful) with us the sofa bed was defective and had to be repaired in a makeshift fashion. Kitchen blanket had stains, Windows dirty, pillows from the couch had large indefinable stains and the curtain was completely dirty (disgusting). Sleeping was not to be thought of, since the elevator shaft is right next to the bedroom. A shame to offer such a thing. Resort fee you have to pay, even if you do not use it (pool etc).

HORRIBLE!, I got scammed when shopping around for a hotel in Miami, all the advertising pictures were like a 5 start hotel, but it wasn't, it was either other rooms or fixed pictures (photoshop), this hotel is disgusting (zero stars), specially the rooms. I made a reservation for two nights and required a room with kitchen. The hotel gave me a room totally different of what I saw in the pictures, that room was completely outdated, for real this room was having a 1980's look, the stove was not working at all and the shower much less (I think these rooms are time sharing), I moved the beds out from their location and I found trash and dust. I stayed one night on that room and required the next day a new room, this one was a little much better but unfortunately the hot water in the shower was not working, and I found new friends during the night (COCKROACHES). No self parking, so you are obligated to pay $20 per day. I talked with the front counter to explained my bad experience, they just offered me 1 more hour to stay at the hotel (No free night, no discount, no apologies, no late checkout, NADA). Overrall my vote is zero start, don't waste your money and time on this hotel.

The rooms are very dirty.

The room reeked of mold. There was a board in place of a window. There was mold on the ceiling and walls. There was an socket with a missing outlet and a lamp without a bulb. The room was DISGUSTING and should not have been available to rent. I was however very pleased with Alejandro, the rep that checked me out promptly. He was very empathetic, courteous and professional. He handled a disappointing experience with care and concern.

This hotel is an absolute imposition!
The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very dirty. Only the room size is positive! The lobby makes a difference. Instead of going to 5 * Luxury Valet parking, you'd better put on a more neat interior! Minus 1 star ⭐ ️!

My daughter and I stayed at the Marco Polo in Miami two weeks ago. I had an issue with checking in but the manager… I can't remember her name… in the end, the manager took care of it and gave us a nice room. Daniel R. Reyes, the security officer, was also very nice to us. The concierge Liedes was so very nice and friendly. We really liked her. She was so funny and engaging.

Terrible horrible service rude all around cant keep anything clean and a complete unorganized time wasted over priced Valet service. Please do not consider this Hotel at all as for deposit refunds good luck you get set on hold and hung up every time refund or better yet deposit refund is mention. Save your money pay a bit more but for real service.

My memorial weekend was great at Ramada. I'm going to talk to my family about staying next spring 18'. The room was great and the rate was affordable. The reservation specialist Leidy, I believe her name was very pleasant and understood my needs and wants of my stay. Before booking Marco Polo, I called other hotels and I didn't have much luck with the customer service. However, I was pleased with Leidy in making sure my family and I would be satisfied with our stay.

Angelo and James of Concierge and Valet services were very knowledgeable and exemplary in their services. Wonderful front desk staff as well. The location on the beach was perfect for us. We loved our experience at your resort. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I stayed in a room on the fifth floor on my first night… I walked in on a lady in my room, there were holes in the bath tub and cracks that could cut you, the tub was dirty in general with lots of soap scum like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, the bed was so hard me nor any of my guests slept, and the final straw was that I had a neighbor come out on her balcony at 12 noon to tell me she was sleeping and we needed to be quiet… The balconies are also easy to climb over so anyone can go into your room from another balcony if you forget to place the lock on… Thankfully our room was changed to the seventh floor. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Specifically Viviana and Elizabeth at the front desk. It had an ocean view this time which was lovely and thankfully the beds were super soft this time but the tub still had holes in the walls… The valet is $20 a night and there is no other way to park. The beach is absolutely beautiful and right near a lovely pool area. All in all I would stay there again but I would definitely request a room facing the ocean and on a floor higher than the fifth.

One of the last halfway cheap beach hotels near Miami. Already older construction in the midst of new skyscrapers. Rooms were clean and large. Has already come in the years. Nice pool and direct beach location on a nice beach. Only valet parking available for $20 per day. Additionally, $15 resort fee is charged per day and room.

Very colaboratif. On request we were made a 30% discount. A small stay of 3 days… the American Standard. Of the no surprise… it was in the month of December. A cold winter in all the United States…

Very nice Hotel. The gallery in the basement is shabby with closed or low-end shops. Strong Point: The bus stop is ahead. Avoid the rooms in low floor on Sea view: They give live on a very ugly roof terrace. Luckily the understanding staff for our honeymoon allowed us to have a high floor room. The balconies do not preserve the intimacy: no separation between them and possibility that the neighbors go over in the middle of the night… so it is necessary to close its bay window! I do not recommend this hotel.

If I could rate this less than one star, I definitely would. The absolute customer service ever. The front desk was horrible and rude. It was my first time there and definitely my last. We felt very unwelcome by the staff from the front desk. The room itself had a lot of cockroaches, the bathtub was dirty and had a yellow ring around the tub, the faucets were broken. Overall I will never come back nor will I ever recommend this to anyone! Stay far away from this hotel. Our check out was early in the morning there it was a old guy wearing suit he was the worse person in the front desk at that time totally Unprofessional and rude. They are remodiling some areas (dust everywhere) old and dirty place to be on vacations plus the unprofessional front desk staff.

Very quiet and clean hotel. Staff were cordial and accommodating. Rooms and beds were very comfortable and the balcony view was amazing! Only annoyance was required valet parking but even that was a blessing in disguise. Will definitely stay again!

Just overall horrible experience. Only good was Angelo at the concierge desk. He was very friendly and nice. Go vikings (he knows teddy Bridgewater thats awesome). When nobody and nothing else was. If said free breakfast there was none. The room was leaking from the ceiling along with a door that didn't lock. Would NOT recommend this hotel for stay only the beach (NOT resort lol) was any very very little good that came from this catastrophic hotel. Pay the extra money anywhere else it's not what they say they are.

It was my first time going to florida. My room was clean and ready to use. One of the downsides of the hotel room is that the floor is not carpet so if you went to the pool or beach outside, the floor of your hotel room would be wet. Besides that, it was a great experience staying there and exploring Miami.

This place looks beautiful from the lobby. The rest is a dump. The employees were rude. I asked for an extra pillow and clean towels and was told that we have plenty. The main burner on our stove didn't work the dished they provided were dirty. Their are stains on the sheets that look like blood (gross). The pool closes at 8pm. Before the sun even sets. Rooms are out dated and do not look like thier Web site depicts. The pool area is ok. All together for 4 people 4 nights I payed $600 for a dumpy hotel. Completely dissatisfied and disappointed. Never again. I would rather stay at an econo lodge.

It is a dirty and dreadful care hotel. While it is cheap it ends up being expensive for what one gets. I had to pay 240 dollars extra for parking and services they never use. Above I entered the room and robbed. Do not come to this hotel!

Let me start off by asking how is this a resort? It looks like a normal hotel, but they say "resort" to charge $15 extra for the room. On top of that fee, the charge $20 a day for mandatory valet parking. The extra fees are outrageous! Now let's get to the layout of the hotel. They had 3 small elevators for 12 floors and about 20 rooms on a floor. So be prepared to wait 20 or more min for an elevator. Now the room was decent, clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was cramp, and he door was falling apart. Now the staff, too busy for room service, not enough employees. This makes you wonder, what are they doing with all the money they are charging people? To some up, if you want to stay here just be prepared for random fees on your card. Good luck and safe travels!

I seriously made a mistake choosing this hotel even after looking at the reviews. Booked a two queen room and they gave me a one king room and then just waved their hand saying a two queen room is not available. When I asked why I didn't get it even after specifically booking it, the stuff kept numb. Entering the room, I just see signs of a dreadful room everywhere, old cracked tiles, rusted refrigerator, dirty bathroom, hairs around the toilet seat, visible patchwork from an early repair. Its in serious awful condition. This hotel was constructed long back and they just decided not to maintain it well. The pictures that you see in Expedia, TripAdvisor and elsewhere are very misleading and will give you a totally wrong impression. The rooms have the feel of a $40 motel. Spend a little more and stay in the other hotels around this area, all of which are newly built and provide better experience.

I was a week hosted at the hotel and is as is what the reviews say. A hotel with few expectations. The best, the pool and the beach access. The rest is like being in an old building and food odor.

The moment I got to marco polo it was a disaster. The room they give me was a mess broken everything, I ignore the review but I experience this for myself. Wall was a mess tile was broken, cupboard top broken. The chair n table, its like they pick it up from the street. Thethe door to go out ok n the balcony broken total mess. Total dump, they did change the room to another one after o complain to another dump, the manager that call lady is very rude and not helpful at all. She shouldn't be working in that field, totally not helpful. I pay my money which was over charge for that damm dump. Not forget the $20 charge for a night for parking, everytime I go to pick my car up I have to give tips, not to forget I have to wait a very long time to get my car, total waste of my time. Parking is mess up n $15 resort fee, what resort is that, total crap. They need to tear that building down and make it over. That entire place is garbage. Plz pyblic stay away from this place. Its a hell hole. The lady manager need to be more helpful n need to speak with ppl with respect, she is one nasty person. Shame on this place. I have stayed at the ramada on two occasions for almost a month each time, while no place is perfect I do enjoy this hotel because of the safe location there are beautiful women everywhere (hint: if you're a single guy) The biggest reason why I enjoy this hotel and why I've wrote this review is because the staff whom I've really came to like. I haven't met all of them but there's a few security guards and pool guys who always greet me like family and ask how I'm doing and if I need anything. My favorite guy is Angelo Bezlman he's up front and he is EXCEPTIONAL and really should own his own hotel or be promoted. He has a passion for customer service, where's flossy shirt with a genuine smile, and even helped me take my groceries up to my room for me on a busy day when I didn't even ask … He assured that he wanted to help me. This man is one of a kind and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes manager or owner here as he is a great guy to look up to for All of the employees at the hotel.

Terrible hotel, out of all the hotels I've been too, this one was the worst. The room was spacious and it had a good view but cleanliness could definitley improve. Bugs everywhere, it was disgusting. Wifi never worked or was really weak. Most unfriendly staff, did not help at all when I asked questions or help. Worst than all, one employee insulted my mother. Horrible place.

Cons: The building (built in the 20') is old, has some roaches, and reeks of mold and mildew. No heat in any of the rooms on colder nights. Pros: Beautiful city/ocean room views, top notch customer service, plenty of on site shopping, heated outdoor/indoor pool, as well as easy private beach access. Most rooms offer a full kitchen (nothing fancy just the bare essentials) While the superb customer service makes up for the hotels overall cosmetic and age issues you can take the money you would pay for one of these rooms and stay at better hotel for your buck. However the location and beach front rooms more then compensate for the poor quality rooms and infrastructure. So its really all in what your looking for. If its quality and or luxary this is not the place for you. If its location and convienice then it may be right up your ally.

I enjoyed myself, room was clean and comfortable. It smelled a little stale (candles handled that). Ocean views were amazing. Drinks/food outside great. Staff was friendly. A little more cosmetic work needed and detailed cleaning in missed area's (elevators for sure) and this place could keep up with some of the better hotels.

Omg where do I start the valet parking lost my car keys my room was nasty the tub was dirty the sheets had blood there was hair in my sink they woludnt change my room because I paid for my room online thur hotwire and for that same reason I couldnt get my money back finally I started to cry in the lobby a employee waited tell the manger left and I got a nice room.

Has a Jewish feel. We were not Jewish. I did not feel like a guest. Had to prove we needed help before it was given. Concierge was pushy, wanting to take the tours he was pushing but not much else. There was the occasional helpful person but the rest it was an inconvenience. Lobby was well presented but rest of hotel is run down. Got locked out of our room from a day trip as room service used dead lock which we did not have a key for. Had to work out how the washing machines worked and then had to wait 35 min past opening time for the gift shop to open to buy the overpriced washing liquid. Access to the beach is great and close. Long way from shopping district. Closest supermarket is 1km walk. Used to be the height of decadence and the tallest building around but now dwarfed by condos either side. Has the makings to be great but not at the moment. Edit — Also found out that our room swipes were not active and our room was unlocked the whole time. Plus for the room staff less for the front desk not knowing that the swipes don't work and not supplying keys in the first place.

I had very low expectations after reading reviews after our travel agent booked this resort, however… Cher on check in was very friendly & followed up with a phone call. The rooms are very outdated & falling apart. In desperate need of a refurbish. The pool & bar area is lovely. The concierge is the worst I've ever seen come across. They had no idea about anything. The lady serving drinks in the lobby bar had no idea what champagne was & served me brandy with ice. That was just plain comical.

Avoid at all cost. Front desk staff have no idea what customer service is. Booked a King bed room and got two full beds. AC was horrid and leaking. Forgot to give us the proper keys for the room. Woke up in the morning to find roaches in our bags. Ants all over. Really a dump. You've been warned!

The hotel is dated, we had a leak from the AC the last day, but for the price could be a bit better, tho, the staff was great, on point, I have to say the Julio from the front desk was nice, sweet, helpful, Karla the house keeper from the second floor was excellent, nice and helpful, the bar lady, oh I love Patty, a happy and very inviting, Kitty was also excellent and the guy from Paraguay, (forgot his name), was very nice also and on point with all mt drinks like the rest of them, Andres the guy from Venezuela check my bathroom sink, also very helpful I guess with those nice and professional employees, If updated, Ramada would do better, I had a great week anyways.

They are scammers! Do not stay at Marco Polo Beach Resort… There front desk staff do not have any customer service skills… Very rude! They tried to double charge my credit for room already paid in full for… When noted no acknowledgement or apology was given… Manager is an epitome of scumbag he was arguing back and forth about charges made like I the customer was right all along… Wifi does not work… Pool is water from the beach warm and salty not cold and refreshing as it should… Bathrooms are disgusting and molded… Do not recommend this hotel to anyone… We all left hotel with stomach viruses! DO NOT STAY! CHEAP AND GREEDY HOTEL!

Read the reviews. Never booked a room got charged for it anyways. Even though I enquired 4 hrs before the inquired date I was told the took the liberty to reserve it for me since my card info was on file and I'm supposed to call them 3 days before to cancel something they took the liberty to book me Lol. Carziest thing ever heard stayed there plenty of times before only because its cheap but and I'm alone so I don't care about the rats and mold and hookers next room but they're crooks last time I stay there not a placefpr vacations families or clean rooms. Its a big motel. With worse service.

HORRIBLE service. Had troubles checking in. They gave me a room I didn't specifically pay for. Got bad attitude from front desk. Saw MOLD in the toilet. Elevators take forever. There's no beach access or pool access after 8:00pm. Got charged a "late" checkout fee. Got charged a daily resort fee. A parking fee and on top of that they tried to charge me extra for the parking I already had because I stayed after checkout in the pool. Can't play music by the pool. Can't have coolers. Valet is horrible. It takes an hour just to get your car. And on top of everything, Accounting didn't have receipts of proof that we payed cash so we got charged 85$ for something we already paid for. NEVER staying at this hotel again!

It takes forever to get your room. They leave two water bottles on the desk and when your done drinking them they tell you they cost money… Also they make make secret charges like the Gym… Oh yeah not to mention that by 8:00pm pool is closed and all connections to the beaches are blocked. Elevators take an hour to get to you and the staircase is confusing you have to get out of the stairs at the second floor and take the elevator down. Go ahead and go all the way down you figure it out. But the people who work here are very nice, the interior of the building is very fancy, and the the rooms are really nice. Overall it's an "okay" hotel, better than a motel but nothing like a Hilton!

I wouldn't recommend this trash place to anyone they don't let you check In until 4 pm we waited in line for almost an hour. Decided to go to the pool because one of the workers told us it closed at 10 when we went down there at 8 it was ready closed. You can't walk on the beach because they lock the gate to go on the beach at 8 as well and they make you pay a 15$ fee for the resort and we couldn't even use it will never come back.

Actually The room was well maintained, big fridge, ocean view for a good deal, the pool is clean and all the employees were nice, idk why these comments made me intimidated at first but it was a good experience, Thank u Ramada plaza.

Stayed here for my vacation. Rooms were clean and the price was fair. Right on the beach and close to shopping, they also have a nice car rental place right inside the hotel.

The only reason im giving this hotel two stars is because of the nice young ladies at the front desk that were very helpful. The room was horrible. It was dirty. Some of the pillow cases had stains on them, there was mold on the vent in the bathroom and the TV didn't work.

Good hotel for the price. So close to the beach and lot's of cool stuff in the lobby.

MOLD/MILDEW IN THE ROOMS! The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the pool area and the fact that it is right next to the ocean. I just got home 2 days ago and couldn't wait to write a review. When we got there we had to wait SIX HOURS for them to get a room ready. When they told us it wasn't ready we didn't mind because we just wanted to get outside in the sun. But after 5 hours and a pool bar tab of $100 and it still wasn't ready I knew I wasn't going to enjoy this hotel. When we finally got to our room, we were happy, but on the second day when my friend and I thought we were getting sick because we kept coughing. I noticed MOLD/MILDEW all over the curtains in our room! Naturally we asked for a different room. They bumped us up to a partial ocean view that was just a little nicer than our first room. But guess what, MORE MOLD/MILDEW! I'm not sure how this hotel is even open. Not to mention the construction the have going on outside. The workers had there jackhammers out at 7am sharp! That may not be early to some of you but I went on vacation to relax. Not to be woken up by construction. Also those construction workers. They were free to walk around the pool area and try to pick up with girls laying out. The employees at the front desk where you check-in/check-out were also very rude and unhelpful. I couldn't believe how rude they were to their customers. The bartender Kitty is an absolute sweetheart, she helped make out stay a little more pleasant.

We should have read more of the reviews before booking hotel. Upon arrival, checking in, the staff was rude. Staff was rude in the restaurant also. Instead of being welcoming, they acted like they were doing us a favor by letting us stay there. Also there is a daily resort fee of $15.00 and a daily parking fee of $20.00. Which they fail to mention on their website. One day room service didn't leave us any towels. Called house keeping. Nothing. Went and asked maid in the hallway. Nothing. The next morning my husband had to take a couple off the room service cart. This is an old hotel as they tried to update it as cheaply as possible. They painted over what should of been replaced. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would of complained at front desk when we checked out but was never asked how our stay was.

Amazing hotel for the price if you are looking to be on the beach with a heated pool only steps away from the ocean this is the place with my AAA discount it was 140.00 a night which is cheap for Miami beach. Staff was good the concierge is amazing. Also if you are traveling here and don't speak English and only Spanish every one here speaks it so no worries. Only compliant was I had to change my room because it was old and a little musty. Be sure to ask for a remodeled room 4 th floor has an amazing side view of ocean.

I am a hard working family man that recently booked a weekend vacation stay for my family at this hotel. When I arrived I was greated by an associate, and he proceeded to check me in. I held the reservation with a credit card and asked to pay in cash. I was quoted 359.00 tax included promo rate plus 10.00 a day parking fee when I first reserved the hotel. The employee at the hotel told me about 425 which included 18 parking + 10 Hotel fee With tax and 50.00 deposit because I was paying cash. I explained what I was quoted and the rep at the counter said this is our price I don't know what you are going to do. I said we will go somewhere else the rep said OK. Like he just didn't care. Ruined my daughters birthday which I planned. Will never go again. Staff is the worst. Now that I see the reviews it all makes sense. Don't go to this hotel unless you love miserable staff.

This place is garbage! If you have any respect for your self you will NOT stay here! Full of pest unfriendly staff slimy practices and yes they will overcharge you and still from you! This people are the typical scumbags that work in a decadent hotel. I've been there 15 days and I had an excellent stay, good beach, good swimming pool, clean, recommended.

We went this year (March 2014) for 4 nights, great location. And comfortable. We were on the 11th floor on the side and had a nice view of the ocean. I recommend this hotel. Beach umbrella and chairs on the beach a bit expensive ($ 35 per day) but I think that it is independent from the hotel. Room clean, but a bit noisy air conditioning. Breakfast. Very nice walking Collins Avenue, several shops and restaurants.

If you can afford to stay somewhere nicer please do. I can't think of one good thing to say about this place. First, the service was terrible, when the maid came to clean our room they never gave us fresh towels and wash rags. We would have to call two three twice before they would deliver them to us. The staff is very unhelpful and rude, and their valet service will try to rob you of your money. They charged us $28 dollars to park our car for one day, it was decreased to $18 after we argued against this nonsense. Secondly, this place it very outdated, and cleanliness isn't where it should be. Probably the only positive in staying here is being close to the ocean, but you can get that at many other hotels at a decent price. This place won the 2013 award for top Ramada Hotel, this ensures that I won't ever stay at another Ramada hotel.

Dangerous hotel. Got an electric shock from the power socket. Internet is terrible, breakfast buffet terrible, really dirty hotel, the bar is 3rd world, didn't feel welcomed at all. Tired and old and probably a health hazard. Avoid.

For the price stay else where. The rooms were old, beds uncomfortable, errors at check in (gave us a queen bed when we paid for a king) lousy breakfast buffet where it's all free except eggs and other staples, light switches that don't work so you can sleep with the lights on. This place is a dive, and not priced like one. For 50$ more stay a nice hotel, or better yet do not stay on the beach and spend anywhere near this much.

Our hotel experience was quite impressive considering the price we paid for an accommodation close to the shore line. We thought we lost our wallet while the valet parking guys handle our vehicle. But it was a mistake since we found it fell in the side of the seat. Again I would still commend the services of the staffs. Its a good place to stay for the worth of your bucks.
