Dana Valdez the Events Director at your hotel was extremely helpful and an amazing support for all my ideas offering me really amazing prices for our ballroom, she facilitated me with the right vendors and was a key to making my event look beautiful and empowered to all my 200 members that were recognized as Team Leaders ñ, Managers and Regional Director’s. They upgraded my room to a junior suite for free as a surprise I felt very blessed and grateful! The people have been nice so far except in the restaurant because I said the breakfast buffet was nasty. For $15 I was expecting something different. Not sure who made the potato but they taste like they had been frozen and thawed for today. But the biggest thing I notice was the staff informing all the men of the other opens, I. E. Omelets, over easy eggs. Not worth the shopping or beautiful scenery. NO Stars.

Excellent hotel with shopping areas surrounding the hotel. Shula’s restaurant on property and staff is very friendly.

Personel were extremely courteous, and helpful. The restaurant was too expensive, gave my son the wrong wings they were so hot he couldn't eat them so the took them back dropped in deep fryer to get the hot sauce off and were burnt and he wouldnt eat them but I had to pay for something that was wrong and not corrected properly should have made new batch of wings instead of double frying them.

It is showing that I recommend this place… I’m on the fence about. We stayed only cuz we were already here and couldnt get another place… which we did try to do. The bar and food is fantastic! The accommodations… not so much.
Don Shula wouldn’t stay here! Disappointed, but it’s only for a night.

My two week stay have been amazing great service but Shula2 is not the business the breakfast buffet is too expensive and yes it is the same basic buffet other hotels offer for free if you stayed there but other hotel have French toast omelet maker and waffles here a omelet is $13.00

I can imagine this property in its heyday, but sadly those days have passed. Everything is clean and well maintained. The staff are all super attentive and helpful. Being right on Main Street in Miami Lakes, with all of the shops and restaurants that are within walking distance, was a very nice bonus. On the down side I’ll say that the rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. On Saturday morning one of our group complained of not being able to get any hot water for a shower, and the next day we were almost not able to get any cold water with which to temper the near-steam that was coming out of the shower and taps. There was a tropical from coming through on Monday and I was extremely surprised and disappointed when the front desk and the valet absolutely unapologetically informed me that they had no umbrellas, or any other provision, that would help a guest retrieve their car without getting soaked in the downpour that was underway at the time. Unless there is an event nearby or on-premise that would just make it exceptionally convenient, there is no compelling reason to choose this hotel.

Attended a professional event. Comfortable conference room. Clean restrooms. Decent coffee. Great location.

Amazing ambience. Great pool. Wings at this place are great so are the burgers. Staff is amazing. Bathrooms are clean. Beautiful rooms and your close to everything you'd want including a theatre.

The staff here is very friendly. Rooms are clean and well-kept. The property looks nice. The on-site restaurant is enjoyable good food good wait staff. It's right on Main Street and has lots of other restaurants and shops to visit.

I live five min away from this hotel and I love it! The rooms are species and nice and clean. The beds and pillows are to die for, you feel like you're sleeping on a cloud honestly! I don't give it five stars because of the fact that the pool closes by 6pm and if you try and get in the pool after that time the security that walks around to check if anyone is in the pool after hours is super rude! He once told us to "Get the f*** out of the pool. " Uh RUDE much!?

Shula is solid hotel to host a small gatherings under 100 (like a family reunion). Offers affordable rooms, a small pool, outdoor mtg spaces, indoor ballroom and meeting rooms. A safe location if you want to be in Miami but not of Miami. Has small shopping center, movie theatre and plenty of places to eat. On site parking.

I really like this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the location is great for work. They also have a nice little downtown area with good restaurants within walking distance.

It's best days seem to be behind it. Clean, but needs a full restoration now since they apparently used the same contractors who upkeep the Motel 6. Breakfast bar ($15) was quite good. Some towel bars would be nice.

A Town that is filled with history, scenic lakes and neighborhoods, lovely homes, town houses, apartments and hotels and the look and feel of a Norman Rockwell painting. If traveling to South Florida, Shula's is the place to stay!

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. Yes, this is an older resort, but we knew that going in. The customer service at check in was unorganized although they were extremely polite. The 4pm check in is way too late when you want to enjoy a nice dinner before the event you are here to attend. The lobby furniture definitely needs to be retired. We liked our room although a tad over priced, and aside from the shower. It was clean and again older, but we liked the decor and it was very comfortable. All and all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Rooms are small and outdated. Conversing with the staff is like conversing with the zombies from the walking dead. If you stay here get a room on the top floor because if you stay on a bottom floor the rooms above you will have a lot of stomping going on and you can hear it magnified on the bottom floor as the place is a “little outdated” and the headboards of the beds are up against the wall making it sound like an earth quake. Other than that it’s fine for a run down hotel that’s over priced.

It is a very nice hotel, in which we gather the members of the Christian churches on Sundays for classes Bible and cult.

Tired & dated, it's still the 70s here. Little to no guest services. Non existence amenities. No microwave anywhere to be found in room or anywhere in hotel. No coffee in the am. No decent restaurants in the lakes area. It's quiet, so I guess that is a positive, but at $150 per night, completely and utterly overpriced. Rooms are small and unadorned. Tiny tv, basic bath, decent bed. There is nothing here to warrant the price.

The web site says 2 twin beds but when I made the reservation we were told queen size beds. Disappointed with the twins so disconnect. Given directions to building but no external markings to determine which building. Given directions to room over the phone but halfway door blocked access and key card would not work. Told which elevators to use and neither has access to the hall with the room. No breakfast, $10 per head for continental breakfast. Carpet in hallways dated as was the bathroom tile. Small pool area but nicely landscaped. Just not worth the price.

I went several days to look for coworkers who had come to town for a workout and for their comments everyone was comfortable with the hotel.

Beautiful scenery. Great shopping and eating location. Clean room and Great beds. But… No heated pools or microwaves with a 4 star Steak house inside and no room service for food It was not enough to take an ice outside high temp was 80 degrees with a low of 63 degrees the 4 days I stayed My room doors would not shut by itself on the floor level I had to push the doors shut. And my outside door to the COLD pool would get jammed from the inside. Maintenance came quickly, but the doors need to be replaced… I still had the same issue… I just put my hip into it… lol!

I ate here today 1/19 /18. I ordered drinks crab cakes and a steak well done didn't get that, steak was raw inside. Told the waiter to return the steak he didn't. End up paying for 150. Bill. Spoke to the manger john he said there is nothing he could do about it. Horrible service. Undercooked steak had no flavor. The crab cakes are tasty that's about it. Mashed potatoes that was serve was very chunky and undercook. Food wasn't that great. Overall if I could give a lower star I would. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

As one of the first Signature Members I consistently continue to stay at this Hidden Gem in Miami Lakes. Central to Everything from Shopping to Restaurants as well as Recreational Activities! A Stellar Staff and as Always a Stellar Stay. I would recommend a better Rewards Program!

This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. Let me just say WELL DONE to the staff and management on duty the entire time from me booking my reservation to me arriving to my staying and my departure. EVERYTHING Was NEVER MORE AMAZING and Professionally done. The desk agents Jasmine, Joshua, And Raphel were everything. They treated me as if this were their house but mine as well! Being I was there under such short notice and unfortunate circumstances the empathy displayed by the staff was far more than what I expected. They treated me like family. Never had any problem and if I had something I needed help with they were very understanding and patient with my family and I. I am beyond recognition with words for this hotel I mean I will choose to stay here over any 5star hotel in Miami. Their service and professionalism is everything and that means so much to me. I had my babies with and the noise tolerance was never addressed so they were very understanding at my situation. To the entire staff from the managers, housekeeping, front desk, greeters, to the Superbowl party in the restaurant Thank you so much for all the accommodating adjustments you made for me you modeled resilience and professional work ethic and I amongst most appropriate it. I will definitely be returning. Love you guys to Life. Mrs. Hill-Stone ❤️

The hallways smell like eucalyptus! It's great! The employees we very attentive and polite. Only reason I have them 4 stars is that they need to update the rooms. Specifically, the shower had a very odd/old system, hard to figure out and control the temperature. The double bed rooms have 2 full size beds, I was expecting 2 queen beds. While the linens were clean and the pillows were soft, one of the beds was caved in the middle. Very odd.

I love love coming to this place. It's my home away from home. The rooms are nice and super comfortable. The pillows and the bed are to die for and Joshua is the manager and he is great and polite. If you want to relax and enjoy your family this is the best place to go.

Food is mediocre and poorly prepared. Food was sent back and returned just as bad. Service is excellent.

What a great hotel. It's in the center of Main Street in Miami Lakes. Main Street is an outdoor shopping strip with all sorts of restaurants and shops. The hotel is well kept with an awesome pool area located among very nicely kept gardens. Breakfast at Vie le France is great. Just outside of the hotel. The staff is great and very helpful. Any questions are answered right away. If not, the follow up is also done in a timely fashion. I can't really say anything bad. The rooms are well kept. You can tell that the hotel is a bit older but again, what a way for the Shula's team to keep it up to style.

Room was wonderful. Clean and modern. We ate at the restaurant, Shulas two, because the main restaurant was sold out. That was disappointing. The food was good. Overall 4 stars for the whole experience.

Nice hotel. I was personally at the time during the Hurricane Irma in Miami. We got this place as a substitute accommodation and I could not have imagined a better one. I felt very safe in this hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We could spend some nice days in spite of the hurricane. Supermarkets and restaurants are within walking distance and the area is very quiet and cosy. Happy to:) again.

Amazing ambience. Super close to night life. Best hotel in Miami lakes. Great pool. Rooms are very quaint and clean. They have tubs for bubble bath.

Guests get access to the associated gym across the street. Much nicer than any hotel gym. Rooms have been renovated some but the hotel is still very date. All in all a comfortable stay.

A complete hotel to spend a good stay.

I was at Shula's 2 with my wife. To my surprise the place wasn't crowded on Friday's night and we were seated right away. I have to say we tried a Mexican place not too far from here and gave up when we saw the crowd outside. I got a beer and a burger in Shula's 2 and cannot complain.

The hotel was peaceful and spacious. It was nice to see activities like yoga and pool aerobics in the morning. The lanscaping was great and so was the service. The only downside was being able to hear noises easily in the rooms.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Very nice.

Customer service stinks, I had to call front desk several times and still was not able to speak to anyone. Paid for a pool view and did not get. I have traveled and stayed at many hotels and this customer service is the worst.

Only got to stay there two due to hurricane Irma. Amazing bed was like sleeping on a cloud! After reading some of the reviews online I made it a point to "look" for certain things, sorry couldn't find it because the place was cleaned spotless! Really hope the hurricane doesn't disturb this amazing place. The fee staff that I had interaction with were extremely helpful and polite.

A very nice place with especially large and spacious rooms. Surprisingly modern. A pleasant and sprawling facility with a centralized pool and outdoor recreation area.

Went to the bar for a few drinks with friends. The drinks are overpriced and the food is mediocre. The one thing I do remember is the very rude security guard.

The bed was comfortable however the room smelt like mold, the breakfast buffet was a joke. They charge $13-14 per person which was not worth it. I had much better complementary breakfast at other hotels. The air conditioner in the bedroom was very noisy and you hear every movement and sound for outside the rooms. The stay was just ok.

This hotel is very nice, and the baseball statues in the lobby are super cool! The hotel decor is old Miami when the land was dairy farms. The ground is well kept here and the pool isn't busy at all. The area has everything with walking distance, many restaurants, theater arts, spa, and cheap golf.

I went here for a job fair. The job fair was a bit overwhelming at first because of the amount of people attending but it was in a pretty space and well kept conference area. Large enough for a nice variety of companies to showcase their booths. My view of the hotel was only to this one room so I can't say much else about my experience there.

Thought I was getting a room with a balcony, got one on the first floor with a window that didn't open, the toilet seat was the wrong size and not very secure, slid all over the place. At check-in there was six girls at the desk but only 2 checked people in, the actual had to be set at 65 the
Obama even cool the room, the bathroom dorm is so heavy I could hardly open or close it. The restaurant offered a sunny brunch that ended at 10:30 and it took over 20mins to get a cup of coffee, at checkout I didn't feel anyone cared about my disappointment. Would not recommend to anyone.

The room smelled terrible. They had old air conditioners that you froze when they were on, and it had to get really hot in the room for it to turn on. When I went to shower, there was no hot water. Had to wait a half hour to get hot water. The shower head was horrible. No towel racks. Paid for a room with a king size bed, got to double beds. No one was around to valet park the cars. Would NOT stay here again!

Very nice hotel and well located in a picturesque and quiet area.
Lots of restaurants, shops nearby, as well as a cinema and a golf (at the same time there are everywhere in Miami).

The service at the bar was perfect. We sat down and were immediately served. We ordered food and it came out rather quickly. We enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Defintly 5 out of 5 the food at the steak house is great.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It's located right on main Street across from great shops and restaurants. The room was very cozy with a decent sized bathroom and sink area. Also, the bed sheets and pillows were MAGNIFICENT.

Amazing hotel in Miami Lakes. The property is amazing. Big outdoor pool, small fountain and nice outdoor patio. The rooms facing the courtyard have balconies and terrace. The restaurant had one of the best steaks I had in a long time. My rustic room was large for a standard room. Everything was great. Enjoyed staying here.

Very nice getaway hotel! Very clean, super quite… staff is very friendly! Stayed here about 2 weeks… price is ok! Rooms are very big! Love the pool area! Best Rooms are the first floor with balcony facing the pool! The burgers at the restaurant are to die for… over all very good hotel!

Beautiful hotel, with outdoor pool, nicely landscaped courtyard and generously sized rooms. Hotel gym is across the street and huge but not 24/7. Many small shops and restaurants are nearby and within walking distance. (I didn't use the Golf facilites so can't rate them) Hotel rooms have tile floors which is lovely and cool but odd for a bed area, so rooms are not as quiet, individually.

Nice hotel and location but lacking on the finishes. Room is nice but design doesn't allow for shower curtain to be placed properly causing you to shower with curtain stuck to you. Toilet is crooked on floor and rocked when sitting on it. No breakfast included and the restaurant is catered to sports bar type atmosphere with less than desirable food. The steak had no flavor. Parking is awkward and until you get used to your room it is impossible to know where to park to access one of the many entrances which may or may not get you to the room. Hardwood floors in the room is nice but takes away much warmth and causes more noise in the room from normal things like rolling the desk chair or walking with shoes. This can also be heard in rooms around you as well as the TVs. Speaking of TVs, for a "high end " hotel they should consider a full HD package with more premium channels or something worth watching. Wi-Fi and internet is ok but if you want to stream movies good luck.

Menu $ at restaurant was over priced for quality, quantity (no salad, bread), and pre-made meal. Attended only one evening meal at hotel, remaining evening meals walked to other restaurants within a 3 block radius. Extremely satisfied with all three visited restaurants value, quality, quantity & results. Breakfast was satisfactory. Quality of service of restaurant personnel very professional. Food at restaurant needs review.

The location is very good, and the staff is very personable. You can tell that they are upgrading the amenities, but they just aren't done. While some things are nice and clean, the showers and tub leave a lot to be desired. We changed rooms because the toilet was not flushing correctly. Overall, not a bad place, but not my first choice either.

My wife and I stayed there for just one night due to a cancelled flight. We checked in late and left before 6am, so we didn't see much of the hotel. That said, the room and bathroom had a good size, was clean and well kept. Also the staff was pretty friendly.

One of the more disappointing hotel stays I've experienced. The room felt like it was falling apart. Wifi signal was not strong enough in our room to be useful and Verizon cell signal was also sketchy. We'd end up leaving the hotel early in the morning to breakfast nearby just to catch up on email/etc. Completely ignored by staff at restaurant and food seemed lacking. Wife and I joke about our stay here every time we go to book a room somewhere.

I'm pretty sure Don Shula doesn't visit the resort and see the facilities and service provided by the staff. I was demoted from the signature room I book to a regular room, no adjustment/credit was provided to me. The hotel is very outdated, it looks like a motel or a hotel from the 1980s… The room smells old like there's mold on the room, looks very old with a need of a update or remodel soon! If you're considering stay at Shulas Hotel, reconsider and visit a new hotel or at least a more updated/new hotel. On the new room I was given, the phone doesn't work, the TV change the channels without you changing the channel, the shower doesn't work properly, honestly I think there's better motels in the area. I didn't knew I was staying at a motel, they should rename the place to Shulas Motel and golf. I'm giving it a 1 star because I don't have the option to do this review without a star!

Great beds. Hardwood faux floors. Aveda amenities. Nice and helpful at front desk. Super walkable to all kinds of great eateries and shopping.

The location is perfect, right next to the main street with lots of shoppes. The room was gorgeous, especially with the hardwood floors and balcony overlooking the courtyard. I was only there for a couple of days so I didn't get to enjoy the pool, but from what I could see of the cabanas and well-kept landscaping it reminded me of an oasis (sort of). All the staff, from groundskeepers to front desk, were so friendly and helpful.

Nice rooms, nice people at front desk, nice pool and restaurant but I wish they had more security. When me and my wife was exiting our car to go into our room some strange man in the parking lot was walking towards us, whistling and avoiding eye contact. I knew he wanted to get past the security door. When I scanned my key I pulled my wife inside quickly and closed the door and he was right behind us. He thought I was going to hold the door open for him… No way. Some guests leave their doors slightly open and this is a huge security issue. My wife was too scared to go back out for the rest of the night.

Great location if you must to stay in the area but the breakfast was awful, waitors were rude, and the rooms were hot when the ac was off and sub-zero when it kicked on.

Managers will lock you out of your room, so they can talk to you. Front desk will ignore you while they talk to each other employees will hang out, outside your room, talking and making noise while you try to sleep. employees know nothing about hotel business. beds are small twin size beds they call queens.

Nice little neighborhood with great restaurants nearby. Clean and friendly staff. The only problem is that it's a tad bit overpriced. But this is Miami, sorta.

Great front desk staff who aim to please, great rooms with hardwood floors, beautiful and clean facility connected to a mall with plenty of shopping, but the support staff could use a bit of professionalism. Within the first 30 minutes of checking into our room we had two different people from support staff just use their key to walk into our room, no knock, no call. Very unprofessional. Called the front desk to ask what was going on and called the security of our room into question and they were very eager to rectify and make sure we were happy They offered free breakfast vouchers. She was very professional and said she would send someone right up with the vouchers. So we waited, and waited, and waited, and were beginning to be late for an appointment when low and behold, we noticed that the vouchers had been slide under our door (no knock, no nothing, no "apologies for our mistake"). This again goes back to the somewhat unprofessional manner of support staff. After that, we had no problems and the front desk continued to aim to please.

Came down for miami carnival. The location, restaurants, shoppin strip and most of all a beautiful room.

It is a great hotel. But the most valuable is its people. All very special.
