Ocean Grill… Lengthy delays between courses, abrupt and discourteous wait staff (not our server, but another that stole items off our table for other guests), and poor hygiene conditions observed during a pandemic made our visit less enjoyable that it should have been. We won’t be returning.

Came here for dinner service very good, great atmosphere in the outdoor area where there is entertainment, but they should not allow children here firstly there is adult entertainment and they are noisy and disruptive.

Amazing food and Service!

The staff does what they can to accomadate folks. They offered my wife and me a new room, but who wants to move after getting back from dinner at 9:30pm. Conde nast said this was a place for tranquility, there is none of that here. It is 9:50pm and I am listening to people scream and shout for a horrible DJ in their courtyard/restaurant Jaya. I do not recommend this for anyone u less you are 25 looking to party. There is no tranquilty of peacefulness. This is nothing more than a bro-haven, fist pumping, techno hole.

My husband and I were recommended to go to the Setai by our concierge. It was Asian Bazaar night and we had a fabulous experience. From the time we stepped into the door we were catered to. The entertainment of the gymnast/contortionist and the fire twirling, fire eating performer was truly magnificent. We found the drinks delicious, potent and original. Our food was delicious. I highly recommend the Setai for a fun night out!

Thank s hotel has changed hands since 2015 and you can tell! Very tired and needs work to modenise Nothing like we experienced 4 years ago when t was a tranquil 5 star hotel based on quality of service, well being and great to rest and relax and Rejuvenate Clearly they are trying to be a more hip and trendy like a Nikki Beach and have changed all of the Atmosphere and ambience that bought us back for a return trip D. J playing heavy base mix so load we couldn’t sleep and feeling very sorry for the family’s that have booked based on the website information I’ve spoken to staff and clients all of whom are concerned about the change I understand business change but you should not misslead you loyal returning paying clientele I will advise American Express whom clearly are not aware of the clear change in corporate policy for change into a club style hotel Very sad!

Love this hotel, the decor, style, and service is top notch. The pool and spa area is enjoyable. Such a nice smell when you walk in and around the property.

We had dinner reservations. Upon arrival there were no tables available and we had to wait an hour and a half at the bar. By then we had missed the shows inside. The bar outside of the restaurant is really good. The bartenders are awesome. I am absolutely disappointed in the quality of service customer service and the overall experience with this venue. They did nothing I mean absolutely nothing to make anything right. As a local resident down the street I will be advising my friends and family never to go here.

The Setai offers a wonderful brunch exclusively on Sundays and this brunch gives you a taste of India like no other. But it still offers traditional American breakfast options as well. Service was absolutely great. Everything from start to end was fantastic. Definitely would recommend this place.

Very comfortable and nice place to stay in, kind and helpful staff, located by the beach… The inner yard is just wonderful to have a drink in the evening or to eat breakfast in the morning, speaking of which, what great and wide range of delicious dishes to choose from. Went for drinks and the service was great, the facilities were very clean and the atmosphere was not your usual South Beach pretentious air, great time. Will definitely be visiting more.

This is one of the nicest hotels on Miami Beach. Very laid back vibe without the pretentious b. S. That goes on at the W or 1hotel. Highly recommend for a relaxing time with impeccable service. There is a great private beach section with attentive and friendly staff. There are also three separate pools each with their own individual temperatures. Pool chairs and cabanas are easy to get unlike most other area hotels.

Save your money and stay at the FEANA instead! Way better designed, way more genuine staff, and insanely cooler atmosphere than here. As a luxury hotel designer myself, the design of the Setai could be way better. Service is terrible — rude and plays favorites based on who they think will tip. IE: My sister and I ate at the buffet one morning (very plain buffet, nothing special at all) and they didn't pay nearly as much attention to us as when we ate with my dad… WE HAD HIS MONEY and we are very experienced in fine dining and luxury hospitality. I find this staff unprofessional and rude as all the places we stay and dine with him, we've never been treated as unfairly as these guys treated us our entire weekend stay… I gave 3 stars and not one because I enjoy the bathtub in the bedroom. It was also my birthday weekend and they gave me champagne and dessert :)

I went there on New Year’s Eve on the 2017-2018. It’s a bit expensive but way to beautiful an worth it. Pretty people and great show. The food was also amazing will definitely repeat.

The Setai is an excellent hotel and it’s fun for lunch or cocktails. There is a real who’s who with an laid back asian feel. I would give it 5 stars but it’s a bit too expensive.

It is one of the finest places Miami beach has to offer. Restaurant has amazing food. Try the truffle dumplings and the pecking duck.

Five stars are not enough to rate the brunch at Setai. By far one of the best I’ve been to. Fantastic service, amazing selection of food and drinks, unforgettable atmosphere. Will go back again and recommend to everyone I know!

The sunday brunch buffet has a large variety of food, ranging from eggs, breads, seafood, thai and indian dishes. All of which are good in taste and quality. The buffet includes mimosas, bellinis, bloody mary's, etc. Service was excellent.

Excellent hotel. We staid in one of their 1 bedroom suites, which was well appointed. Customer service was at the forefront of their ethos at all times. Every member of staff seemed to be really focused on ensuring we had the best time, without every having to wait for anything. Loved this place and would definitely stay again.

No complaints. Everything is perfect from the beginning to the end of the stay. We had a waking dream. The room, the quality of the service, the friendliness of the staff. I recommend a 100 percent. Miami Hotel.

Service and amenities are wonderful (but expensive! ) The staff will accommodate your ever request and the room is just stellar with a personal bath and great speaker system. The only negative is the outdoor grill food (which you will be eating if you order pool or beachside) is mediocre in taste and grossly overpriced. (The expensive drinks are quite delicious though, I recommend the Coconut cocktails). Overall I would stay there again but would try and avoid the outdoor food.

Indian restaurant is over priced. Bar and atmosphere is super nice. Definitely worth the price for drinks and atmosphere.

Went here for the brunch on Sunday. The food was simply phenomenal! I’ve been to most places for brunch on south beach and nothing comes even close. I will definitely be turning this into my go-to brunch spot for the foreseeable future.

One of the best hotels in South Beach and great restaurant and bar with highly highly recommend this however expensive.

If you want to enjoy the highest hierarchy level world-only approach to the top level best cuisine and the most AAA wind lust and his sommelilier Hakkan that will bring you to the collection of wonderful jewels of the wine from all over the world… only here findable. You may enjoy it as in the best places in the world!

I was completely blown away by the exceptional customer service from every person I interacted with during my 4 night stay this past January. Top notch all around. Concierge made dinner recommendations as well as called ahead to let the owner know we were coming. Owner came out and greeted us at dinner — very impressive. No detail is overlooked at Setai. Everything was impeccable and perfect. Setai is tranquil piece of paradise. I loved the boutique vibe at Setai opposed to a larger hotel like nearby Fontaine Bleu. Both are luxurious, but in two totally different ways. The breakfast buffet was also incredible. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and have been to a few 5-star hotels in Miami.

The food and the service at the restaurant was absolutely relishes. The are precise in everything they do and it was a great time.

We visited the spa for a massage. The spa was lovely and my therapist was great. My wife did not have a good experience however due to some bad communication from her therapist. There were a lot of children on the property.

This hotel is heavenly and there is tranquility in every corner. The food is undeniably delicious. The Jaya menu items were exemplary, sublime and simple yet full of flavor and texture. The Miami Spice menu was nice but certainly preferred Jaya.

The minute you pull up to the Setai, it's obvious from the gorgeous old Art Deco building that this is a place with history, and it's true that the original hotel (called the Dempsey-Vanderbilt, for boxer Jack Dempsey) was designed and built in the 1930s. 80 years later, the old-school hotel is best known for over-the-top service: think beach attendants who move your beach chair to the perfect angle, bring just-cracked coconuts, and keep loud partygoers from other parts of the beach away. The temperature-controlled infinity pool setup, which includes a 75-degree lap pool, 95-degree family pool, and 85-degree central pool, all looking out over the private beach, is a major part of the draw.

One of the most elegant hotels in the country. The pool area is well designed and the beach service/amenities (beds) are top quality. The in house restaurant food was 5 star. I even went to the Buffett in the morning (had so many options and still retained its quality) with an avacado bar! I had a 1 hour massage overlooking the pool area. The massage was excellent, spa and gym were as well.

I had a massage at Setai by Arun, and it was phenomenal! Afterwards I went to the pool and enjoyed the sun, had delicious drinks, and awesome tacos. Everything that I experienced at Setai was above my expectations. I will definitely be coming back and I will also be highly recommending it.

We were there on memorial weekend it was deserter bad service. It was so hard to get server at the pool and on the beach. The Wi-Fi was broken in the room called them they came into my room to fix it but they couldn't fix it. Vale was too slow. Long story short everybody was sorry at the setai. Not good for the price we won't be back for a long time. We stayed there a lot of time to be honest l don't know how many times but the last time we were all so unhappy with everything.

I thought I had a wonderful experience at this place, didn't know after check out they would throw me under the BUS because I'm african american. Shamed place never again.

As a long standing customer, I will no longer be visiting this establishment until this person is gone and no longer employed. In addition, I will be ensuring all my friends and family, who also regularly visit, will no longer be customers. Setai should care about the image their employees represent when in public, and Taylor and demonstrated a clear lack of understanding in this regard.

My husband and I had dinner here last Friday in the Courtyard. The experience overall was wonderful. The service was great, the food was excellent and the design and ambiance were spectacular. We highly recommend coming here even for just a drink. If I were to ask for anything, possible more people. It was Friday at 9/10pm and less than 1/2 of the tables were full. This place is show stopping and it's strange to me why everyone else hasn't figured that out.

Was fortunate enough to try some of the awesome cocktails here. The Setai has one of the best cocktail programs in the country, I'd have to say. I brought my company here for a cocktail reception, which was originally supposed to be held in the gorgeous Courtyard, but unfortunately it rained that day and we were moved to the library/lounge. The Saigon gimlet was to die for — — what an interesting blend — — my friend who tried it said he had never tasted anything like that in this country — — definitely good with an Asian influence. I loved the chili passion martini, especially since spicy drinks are my favorite. Tried the pom pisco too, which was frothy at the top, and so fun and playful. Federico was a pleasure to work with, and the staff were great.

This review is for the brunch. Best brunch ever. Eclectic mix of staples along with freshly and authentically make Inidan food, sushi, smoothies, meats, more than you could want. It's very close to the Biltmore, with the Biltmore having a more relaxed setting and the Setai a more contemporary one.

The bed is not comfortable. AC does not work well. There are bugs in the room.

What a great experience. This is definitely a place to get pampered. The service is outstanding. We were only there for a weekend and did not want to leave. The room was very clean and services in the morning and in the afternoon. The pool service is great! They will prepare the beach chairs for you and give you plenty of towels, water, and a refreshing water spray. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious! However, only worth the money if complementary, otherwise it is about $95 including 20% tip. My boyfriend and I are definitely looking forward to coming back and scared to be too spoiled when going to another hotel.

The best to relax in Miami Beach.

A wonderful, beautiful, and amazing luxury hotel; with a price tag to match. However, don't get me wrong, it's well worth it. The staff here are some of the most professional folks I have ever encountered in any setting. The food is simply amazing, and the amenities are fitting for such a place. If you can afford it, plan your stay here. You won't regret it.

Wonderful hotel in Miami Beach, Art Decó style in the façade facing Collins Ave, although then you have one part modern with many more rooms.
It is expensive, but care that exist for all, outdoors but heated water pools, the restaurants that has, and the impeccable service, no doubt deserve an extra. Possibly one of the best hotels of there.

Tasty Food For South Beach! Moving from SF I'm used to amazing Thai/fusion food. South Beach isn't known for any amazing meal. I have to say the food was good here, the only thing is, its VERY pricey.

I simply did not like anything.
