Very clean and comfortable. Staff is excellent and welcoming. Coffee could be better. It was fresh but not very strong. We were not able to try the breakfast as we had a 6:00 AM appointment.

This is a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Gainesville. The staff is always friendly and do there very best to be accommodating. If you want ritzy and glitzy, this is not for you. If you want value for your money, it definitely is, except on football weekends, when you're lucky to find anyplace in Gainesville.

The hotel was extremely clean and we'll maintained. Everything in my room worked fine. The hotel was quiet. The check in clerk was very sweet and helpful. I loved the free popcorn and cookies in the evening!

This hotel was perfect for us. It is just as described online. Modern, clean, comfortable rooms with a refrigerator and microwave oven. Popcorn and coffee in the lobby even at our 10 pm arrival with easy self parking. Breakfast was abundant and complimentary.

The service was fantastic! Clean, had everything you need. Refrigerator, microwave and extra coffee etc. Complementary snacks also. I needed a scissor and the desk was pleased to help me. Very freindly staff. Awesome place to stay! beds where so comfortable!

Clean, comfortable, and quite. My husband and I come down to Gainesville for a lot of his V. A appointments and this is the best place that we have started at. The staff were awesome. We had a problem with the Jacuzzi tub in our room not holding water in it. As soon as my husband said something just so the knew they had if fixed in about 5 minutes. We will definitely be staying here every time we have to come back.

So homey and comfortable! Clean and friendly and easy to get to! Small pool but we were not really there to swim. Very large bathroom!

We had a suite with a king size bed and a sofa bed for the kids. Very comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly.

Alice Harvey, asst mgr, was very helpful in getting us to our room even though the computers were not working well. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds.

I visited the Sleep Inn for several days in a row as I had family staying there. The rooms seemed very clean and spacious. The only down side was the outdood pool was small and there was no shade provided. We were unable to use the area in the extreme Florida heat.

Stay was a surprising delight (the Veteran's Administration had put me up at a different location twice before). Nice, clean rooms, spacious countertops in the bathrooms, and kind staff. I'm not the pickiest sleeper in the world, but the mattresses were the right mix of firm and soft to get me to sleep away from home a lot easier than I expected, given the stress of my (medical) visit to the town. I truly hope this is my location for future stays.

Th room were decent, if a little sparse. They served cookies, popcorn, and snacks in the lobby at night, which was nice, and the continental breakfast was complete with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle machine. Overall it was a pretty good overnight stay.

Went there for mo. My and son weekend for the orange & blue game. When we checked in they had a candy & popcorn bar and were making fresh cookies. The breakfast was great as well as the room.

Let me be clear. First and foremost I do not have an axe to grind with this company nor do I think anyone who works at this location, was anything but kind and respectful. I believe that these people are just doing the best they can with how much they make and the facility they been given. Having said all that: I am completely amazed that this hotel, if you'd like to call it that, has got the high ratings that it has here online. I'm not one to post photographs but please take a look at the dead bug that I found. This was one of many. As well as the Q-tip, which was in mind. The mirrors that obviously weren't spray down and the bathtub with someone else's hair on the walls. Wasn't able to get a picture of that. These pictures are an accurate representation of the type of quality that this hotel in genders. The air conditioning did not work for the entire night. I believe it should. They believe differently. It had a habit of turning off and staying off for at least 45 minutes before it would turn on again for possibly 3 minutes. Yes, I timed it. It was very disappointing to know that this was a very high rated hotel that offered very low rated amenities as well as cleanliness. I really had a bad night sleep at this location. I even went as far as calling the front desk and letting them know about my air conditioning issues. They sent up somebody dressed in scrubs and she told me that the air conditioning stays on the entire night.

Looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfy hotel in Gainsville, Florida — look no further. We checked in around midnight and the check in was easy. They still had fresh, complimentary popcorn as well as cookies waiting when we arrived to vanquish late night munchies. The room was clean, modern, with comfortable beds and all the things you need for a quick stay or long weekend — fridge, micro, TV, and device charging station built into the nightstand. Also, the bathroom in our room was more spacious than the average hotel bathroom. Breakfast had a nice variety including scrambled eggs and sausage, hard boiled eggs, Kashi, yogurt, bananas, pastries. Plenty of choices. We woke for breakfast but then decided we were so exhausted from a few days of driving that we would see about a late check out. The front desk accommodated us with a noon check out time at no charge. Convenient location off the freeway, easy to find, and they offer some shuttle service to the college campus if you are looking for that. Thank you for a nice stay!

Sleep Inn & Suites University/Shands in Gainesville, Florida was conveniently located by the highway and across from the Target and Starbucks that we needed to hit! The room was spacious and relaxing, the bathroom was enormous — a pleasant surprise compared to many other hotels we stay in. The area was quiet, the staff was kind and accommodating — quick to give us a late checkout after we worked late. Larger sized mini-fridge, microwave, and business center. We utilized the 24 hour laundry and gym, and the tasty breakfast with coffee and juices. Will definitely be back! Thanks Sleep Inn & Suites!

Located just off I-75. Had 2 kings in room, mini fridge, microwave. Very comfy bed. Forgot toothpaste, it was provided. Had a hot breakfast in the morning. Very clean.

Everyone was very nice and friendly but the room was incredibly dirty with a layer of dust and grime covering most of the surfaces. All of the furniture looked worn down and on its last leg. The bed was hard a rock. I DEFINITELY would not recommend this to anyone especially for the $100 we paid. The bathroom was covered in hair, left over hair clips, the faucets had soap scum and hard water build up all over them like they had been cleaned in ages. I used to work at a holiday inn express and that would never pass as acceptable. I am glad we were only there for 1 night and I will not return to that location.

This is a great place to stay. The staff is always warm and inviting. They have cookies in the afternoon and salty popcorn too. Now if only they'd have a bar! The exercise room has four machines and a tv. Pool is right there too and clean. Rooms are spacious, clean, and maintained.

Our clients are touring entertainers like the comedian Chris Cope who stayed here recently while performing in Gainesville. They are very quick to tell us about a property after they check out and we are very happy to report that this hotel is quickly becoming a favorite! The rooms are great, clean, quiet, and very big and the breakfast in the morning is top-notch. There's also a laundry room to use while digesting breakfast before getting back down the road! Nice, clean room. Convenient location. Complimentary breakfast below average in both the breakfast area and the hot food (precooked scrambled eggs that appeared to have been made from powdered eggs and gray sausage) was deplorable.

I was extremely satisfied with my overall hotel stay! Everything was CLEAN and everyone at the hotel was very respectful! My daughter was in ICU over at North Fla Regional hospital and we had no where to stay. I arrived at the Sleep Inn and was greeted with the best receptionist ever! She gave me a hospital discount which was amazingly helpful! I will return to the hotel the next time we visit the area! I give them a 10 star rating across the board! Thanks, KYork.

Oh boy! I had a good ol time staying here over the Fest weekend! I really enjoyed everything about this hotel, top to bottom, start to finish! Check in was a breeze. Really nice folks working the desk had me headed to my room after I walked through the door within 3 minutes. Still managed to be personable, charming, and helpful. The room itself was very clean. Linens, towels, curtains, tables, surfaces, everything. The room was also very spacious, which normally leaves me concerned about keeping it at whatever temperature I would like, but that was not an issue here. The AC worked perfectly and kept the room exactly where I wanted. I was able to have breakfast Saturday and it was standard continental breakfast options: waffles, sausage (patties), eggs (boiled, scrambled), cereal, oatmeal, grits, breads, juice, water, etc. You guys know how hotel breakfast works. In terms of a hot breakfast, it was what you'd expect, and satisfied to say the least. The true value for me was the location, as the property is right off of the interstate, but there was still shopping, and food right nearby. Basic strip mall suburban options (Target, Bonefish, Publix, ChicfilA, etc. ) Despite being there for Fest, and all of the partying that comes along with it, I was thrilled to be away from it all when the night ended. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're in Gainesville, you'd do yourself a favor staying here.

Needed to extend my stay and deducted the abitacion without notify me the first time I passed this, the room in very good condition and size but the way they operate leaves much to be desired.

Nice room… Love the living space (couch, chair, ) that way can relax without laying in the bed. Only reason not 5 is the smell. Bad BO smell… They need to frebreeze the room… I normally keep some with me for smoke smells but left it behind… Won't do that again… cookies were good touch. And popcorn. Nice…

Check in/out was a breeze and all of the staff was incredibly polite. The hotel was clean and unassuming. Beds were so comfortable, after driving for hours I was out immediately. The breakfast was sufficient but the real pleasure were the candy and cookies in the lobby. I would absolutely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay while in town for our kids sporting event. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the curved shower rod was a plus, and the staff was exceptional. The welcome cookies/popcorn/candy was a nice touch, too. Breakfast satisfied all our different tastes-waffles, eggs, yogurt, cereal, bread, etc and the coffee was delicious! We look forward to returning in the future.

The Sleep Inn Gainesville was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Everything that a weary traveler needs. The linens were high thread count and the bathroom was well appointed with a granite shower and counter-top. The staff was very friendly and helpful — just what we needed after a long day on the road!

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very quiet and clean. How ever the parking was horrible. There was a travel trailer with people sleeping in it. Taking up 5 parking spots. A container taking up 4 parking spots. And a truck taking up 5 parking spots. There were at least 9 cars parked along the drive way. I feel if we spend $250.00 a night we should have a safe place to park our vehicles.

The front desk clerk was very skilled at being very evasive about what the charge would be for the night. Another gentleman in front of us was having similar issues. After much wrangling, she blamed it all on the fact that I had used Expedia for the reservation. This was not true. We have used Sleep Inn before, but never again!

Very clean room with comfortable bed. Location is close to Shands Hospital/ University of Florida. Friendly staff.

We have been staying at this location every year for 6 years to attend a recurring show that is held in the area. I have never had any big issues until this past weekend. The house cleaner did not change the bedding to even notice there someone had urine & we didn't know until laying in it (unsanitary). Also when I was checking us into our two rooms they was trying to place on different floors. I told them my daughter's 9th birthday was the next day & she would be going from both rooms to see her friends, we have to be on the same floor! After the one staff lady moved 6 other rooms around that had not checked it yet, the other staff lady said, "You moved 6 around for them! " Also made a comment to my daughter, "little girl you got 2 of my cookies in your mouth. " And had the nerve to ask me, "that little boy better not be breaking the leaves of my plant. " When my 2 year old son was hiding behind it in the sitting area from his sister. We called the property manager Bruce who said the rooms will the taken care of however I still got charged for one of my rooms. We will be staying at The Lodge next year that is located on the same road beside the Target & Steak n shake. Some of our friends stayed there & It was very nice & polite staff even to us who was not staying at that hotel. **This not only ruined our vacation but my daughter's 9th birthday. ** By the way she ask me, "Mommy isn't them cookies for us. "
