The person on the front desk saw Me with my grandfather on a wheelchair and gave me a regular room after I said I needed one for handicapped. Room sheets were old and already deteriorating, bathrooms had all corrosive fixtures and was not really clean. For the price I paid for a night it was not worth it.

No executive lounge, no valet, restaurant closed, grab and go breakfast instead of ability to sit and eat. Rooms are hot and not maintained. As a diamond member you do not get any amenities that should be available for the status.

Great location and incredibly comfortable beds. We were only there for a short visit but staff was friendly and accomodating.

This is my second incident with a Hilton of this nature and while I understand things happen what transpired I have no understanding for my husband and I arrive well after 4 actually around 7:45 were told the system is down we can't check in for about 15 minutes ok no problem I see other ppl waiting so we wait then I see those ppl checking in I see a lady come in with luggage and she checks in mind you they are all white my husband and I are black I hear them call security to let them into their rooms as they are not able to make keys ok that's understandable they said they'd call them when they are able to make keys I step up hand over my ID for a room we paid for in full online I'm waiting and waiting and waiting another white male walks up he asks is the system still down hes told I think your dad checked in for you he said no I should have my own room the guy looks him up checks him in asks for a number to call when he can provide a key and me I'm still waiting im then told maam if you have some activities you'd like to do in the city you can go do them and come back we'll be able to give you a room then I began to explain every conversation I just witnessed and asked why I had to wait and could not get the same escort from security they attempted a lame excuse I cut then off called my husband name and said come handle this he walks over asks what's the problem they said no problem sir were going to take you up to your room In just a minute please explain to me why I had

Classsic. Updated slightly modern decor with big sports bar, excellent food and largest pool for swimming that I have seen in years. Centrally located and easy access to various parts of Gainesville. Will definitely stay here again but not a fan of the air conditioning cutting off during the night.

The bed was comfortable. The air was nice and cool. The LG television was great. The handicap shower sucked. If I was handicapped, it probably would have been fine but instead there was limited space to stand and the curtain didn't keep hardly any of the water inside, along with barely any pressure. Also the tiny mini fridge only works for 2 hours and shuts off. No microwave.

Rooms are cozy and comfy. Great ambience. Outstanding customer service and response. Easy accessibility to University of Florida. Will surely visit next time. Must stay if you are visiting campus. Includes wheelchair accessibility and affordable Price.

My wife and I attended the red show affair at the Hilton in their ballroom. We had a wonderful time. Staff was professional and helpful and the venue was clean and had plenty of room for several hundred people. Great venue for the event.

Super clean, people is really nice and helpful. I was there for a weekend get away and one of the guys at the front desk recommended things to do. The pool it's really big. Nice place to bring the kiddos… totally love the experience.

Loved our stay! The staff was very friendly. The entire hotel inside and out was very clean. The breakfast room was clean, well staffed and a good selection of foods. The hotel is centrally located to a lot of fun things to do. We stayed 7 days and would stay here over and over again. This Best Western is the best!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a conference I was attending. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. They have restaurants on site, a Starbucks, a quick stop store, fitness center, pool, etc. The hotel is actually connected to the Florida Mall (walking to the back of the hotel on the first floor takes you right inside the mall! ) which is pretty great! Parking was no problem. Guests can park in a gated VIP section with their room key and they also have valet. Staff was all very nice. For as many rooms as they have, it's very QUIET, which was a delightful surprise. The room was great! I was a little leery about the bed at first flop because it seemed really hard, but I slept great on it. The shower is probably the best shower I've ever used in my entire life! Something nice to point out since the hotel lobby is accessible from the mall, you can only access the elevators to the guest rooms with a room key. Unfortunately, other people could still get on as long as there is someone else waiting for the elevator who already used their card, but it's at least some bit of security and peace of mind. Their room service breakfast was GREAT! The second floor is where their conference rooms are located. Very spacious and clean, fairly cold though which is nice this time of year! I can't recommend this hotel enough, very happy with my experience!

Typical 4-star hotel review, the rooms were spacious for hotel rooms and clean. Housekeeping was prompt and courteous. The restaurant is above average for hotel food, but it is still a hotel restaurant. However, you'll notice I gave it two stars… There is a nice outdoor pool and hot tub, which is great. However no one keeps an eye on it at night. When we stayed there recently, we decided to unwind in the hot tub after a late dinner and drinks with family. Shortly after we got in, a huge group of teenagers/young twenty-somethings came down, blasted music and were drinking and smoking weed. They said a few things to us that made us feel slightly unwelcome, but we continued to hang out for a bit. They were unwilling to turn the music down, so we packed up and left. I said something to the bar staff about them (as I felt the way they treated us was inappropriate, and not all guests would be ok with blaring music, heavy drinking, and weed smoking in the evening in the pool area). The staff response? "Yeah, it happens with college students. " No apology, no offer to handle it, nothing. So be forewarned that this place won't go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable, police their pool area, or ask other guests nicely to stop using illegal drugs (even pot) if it bothers people. On the up side, I guess you should feel free to smoke weed in the pool area around other guests, since they seem to do nothing about it.

I am an avid traveler and I have to say I was alittle disappointed by my experience at this hotel. I stayed here one night to attend a graduation. The hotel itself was very beautiful with a wonderful location! It was clean, and decorated beautifully in full UF regalia. The front staff and cleaning services was wonderful, they were so friendly and attentive to all of our needs. But our issues began when we entered our room after a very long 7 hour drive we just wanted to watch some TV and eat room service. We began using the TV and the signal kept cutting out. We called the front desk for help, someone arrived promptly only to tell us there was nothing they could do that some rooms were having this issue and we couldn't switch rooms. So essentially we had no TV. After feeling defeated due to not having a TV I called room service to place an order and after the front desk having to redirect my call back to the room service line twice (after it rang for so long without anyone answering that it went to the front desk) I was told that room service would have to call me back to take my order. I waited over 30 minutes without getting a phone call back. So I called again, finally someone took my order and about an hour later we received our food. According to the room service Menu breakfast starts at 6am. I called at 6:15 to place my order for breakfast (since we had to leave by 8am for the graduation.

Great service! Mike, the front desk attendant, was super friendly when I first arrived. I had a problem with my card and he was very helpful and patient. He was chatty and letting me know a little bit about the city. Erica, the housekeeping supervisor, is the sweetest lady! She made sure my room was up to her standards and was very efficient with anything I needed! All other staff members I have interacted with have been super friendly. My room was clean and the hotel as a whole is very nice. Five star service! I will definitely stay here next time I am in town for work!

Came here for a convention. Wonderful place. Had breakfast buffet, which included coffee cake & fruit filled crepes. Lunch buffet was incredible! Caesar salad, various breads / rolls, Rice pilaf, steamed mixed veggies, grilled chicken breast, & beef flank steak. Large meeting rooms. Highly recommend the Hilton for conventions.

Pretty nice place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, and very modern. The cable on the TV came and went but I'll be that's more Cox's fault than Hilton's. The first night our thermostat stopped working, but the staff acted quickly to fix it and we had no further issues. My only real complaint would be the water pressure in the shower (miserably low). Other than that we had a great stay.

The breakfast buffet at Shula's was very underwhelming especially considering the price.

This hotel is so clean and modern and the pool is GORGEOUS! The trees with the Spanish moss were perfect for the setting. Also, the staff was just great! We got a great deal on a room on short notice!

Not bad, just not my favorite. Pro: Good A/C and heating, awesome TV channel selection, comfortable beds/pillows, no parking fees, water heated up very quickly. Con: No included breakfast, no intake fan in bathroom, toilet paper installed with free end under the roll. No free gummy bears/cookies like the downtown Hilton-owned hotel. General: Shower was a shower-tub combo, and the tub seemed a little shorter than normal (may have been just me being weird though). Location: Decent location, just a rock's throw from the University, and close to most major parts of town.

Nice hotel, is pet friendly for small dogs, & does not have any rooms on 1st floor. I do not recommend Shula's restaurant in the hotel. I've eaten at Shula's several times and the prices are ridiculously over priced and the food I've had for breakfast and thanksgiving lunch was below average however the 1 dinner I've had here was the best steak I've ever had. The wait staff is unbelievable slow and the 20% tip is included in the check which could explain the slow staff since there's no incentive to speed up service. Recommend the hotel but not the restaurant.

Very conveniently located, most of the personnel is respectful y courteous, where accommodated with extension of checkout time. Good ok place for a couple nights. The bathroom lights kept on turning off on the second day. Room was really dusty, headboard, towels & pillows smelled faintly of bleach & sweat. Stayed there for the location. Not great, not bad.

Great location. I was able to go to meeting/conference at medical campus without difficulty. Hotel is easily accessible from highway. Rooms are clean. Staff are exptremely helpful. Good bar in the hotel that allows me to destress and relax after day long meeting. Also has Shula's steak house there with is a plus for a decent meal.

Had dinner at Shula's steak house. Simply awesome. Had drinks after. My bartender Marcela was the best. We're going back!

Be careful to read the cancelation policy. You must cancel 45 days before check in date. No exceptions at all. Quite the scam as they easily book the room on game weekends. Shame on you hilton.

Stayed at this Hilton in Gainesville for a Gator game and we had a wonderful time! The location was great — easy to get to and from the stadium as well as other places throughout the city. The staff from check in to check out and in the "No Name Bar" were very pleasant. They were extremely accommodating and the hotel itself was exceptionally clean. Will definitely look to stay there for any future trip to Gatornation!

Visiting the property… Had a great interview with Mrs. Erica in the House keeping Dept. All the staff were very professional, friendly and well groomed. Love the atmosphere, looking forward to joining a winning team.

The Hilton was very nice. The staff was very welcoming and worked with us very well during our time with them. The location is perfect since it is so close to the University of Florida campus and just a few blocks away from the main roads in Gainesville.

Recently redone with some continuing work. Good location to university and easy self parking. Small nice fitness room.

We were traveling all day evacuating from the hurricane. Due to traffic we were unable to make it to our destination. We stopped here and received permission to sleep in the lobby but chose to sleep in car. When we saw a bunch of people checking out we went to front desk to ask if there were rooms available. Brian was at the desk and said no. I then politely asked him if any of the rooms currently being vacated would be available soon. Brian proceeded to very rudely explain that he hadn't charged there cards yet. I said well that's ok we can wait whenever you are ready. He then asked me to leave. I asked why and explained that I hadn't done anything except ask about rooms. I asked for a manager, he said he was, however his badge does not state this. He then proceeded to call security to have me removed. I never once raised my voice, or had an attitude. My family is still puzzled over his bizarre behavior. Other guests were even outspoken regarding his unbelievably "aggressive behavior". After the embarrassingly rude fiasco several employees explained to me he's not a manager. The other employees told me he leaves at 7 and to try when he's not here because he's rude. I'm unsure why anyone would behave this way. We have been Hilton diamond members for a very long time and have never ever had anyone be so aggressive or rude. Especially with how nice I was to him.

Very easy to service for taxi pick ups, just would like to see a designated spot. Would make it easier for the drivers and passengers, as well, not obstruct the tour buses.

These guys really helped me out. Great customer service on site. Rooms are renovated — nothing fancy but comfortable. Windows were a bit small in the rooms, but not like there's much of a view. There is a hot tub outside next to the pool, which is a high priority for me. They may be the only place in town with a functioning hot tub. The light didn't work at night and the pool area could use a little maintenance/cleaning, but they're renovating the entire place so my guess is it'll be better soon. Food is overpriced and there's not a wide variety, so eat elsewhere. 5 stars for helping me out during a pretty rough time.

Nice place but always under renovation and construction. It's only a year or two old and seems to have issues that all hotels have. A/C problems, water leaks, missing/dead TV remote batteries, cruddy Wi-Fi & slow service in the bar/restaurant. One thing that's very frustrating is their inability to book us properly w/ Hilton Honors. It matters for free Wi-Fi and breakfast and a break on a very expensive room. It seems the management needs additional training from Hilton. It just doesn't have that high grade feel to it that most Hilton's do.

This is the best hotel in Gainesville. Great location. Very nice rooms and public areas. The breakfast is wonderful. The service is good too. This is my hotel of choice when I visit the area.

Very comfortable and quiet, walking distance to a grocery store so you can avoid the exorbitant prices on bottle of soda, bottled water, etc typical of a hotel. It is also right where we need to be, so I cannot comment on how easy it is to get to destinations around the city, as I have no idea. The breakfast buffet was really nice, but pretty pricy. I'd definitely recommend it exactly once. All in all it is pretty nice.

They were very accommodating and although I booked my room through a third party, they still changed the room for me and brought everything I needed for the stay. The lobby was elegant and the rooms are very nice.

Nothing like traveling all day to get to your hotel and they tell you they are overbooked! Even after you call and say you'll be a late check in! This hotel is atrocious! They are completely disorganized and have no idea how many guests they have or what rooms they are in. They tried to put me in an occupied room before shipping me off to some other hotel at 2 am. The worst hotel service I have ever seen and I travel a lot! (This has never happened to me at any other hotel ever! )

I attended this location for a work related function. The lobby area was pleasant and the conference center large and accommodating. The conference space was a divided ballroom that provided more than enough for the function. The event had catered hor d'oeuvres, which I believe we're catered by the facility, with ample staff to maintain the displays and to clear the used plates. I would consider this location in the future for a function.

I have got to say I always stay at this Hilton when I come to Gainesville and it just amazing the people there are so nice and helpful and get u what u need if u happen to have any special requests and they go out of their way to make sure u have everything u need. I love it here and would not switch for anything.

Attended a conference at Hilton, Gainesville. Great clean and large conference halls and rooms. Hallways are wide and spacious. Excellent service by the staff and food was great. Hotel location is easy accessible and the ambience was awesome.

I only experienced the conference centers but the experience was great. Extreme class and good breakfast. Definitely comfortable.

Your average dated Hilton. The bar had decent food, however the $8 draft beer was a little much. The gym at the hotel was perfect for a quick on the road workout.

My experience at the Gainsville Florida Hilton was not good. After driving for five hours and pulling up to the front of the hotel, my wife found out that we had to unload our luggage ourselves because there was no staff to help us. I am not sure if the fact that I had a pickup truck played into this decision but, because I lacked the physical strength to perform such a task, I just had to get into and drive my truck to an empty parking space (at the back of the lot) and take what I could carry with me making multiple trips. Piece by piece over the course of the evening I brought up to our room what amenities were necessary for that night because I had medical testing early the next morning at Shands hospital. When it came time to leave, I brought my truck closer to the front of the hotel and took all of my luggage out to my truck myself. And, as I was leaving, I was thanked by the people behind the desk for returning the luggage transporter and I was also given a smile. This was the first Time any sort of acknowledgement (that I had even stayed at their hotel) was given and I found it shamefully offensive. I can only presume that, had I been driving a fancy car, maybe someone may have made an attempt at helping with the transportation and placement of luggage into my vehicle.

Location was very convenient to the Shands Hospital Medical Complex, and also right across the street from the University. Staff was incredibly courteous and polite, always asking if anything else could be done to improve my stay.

Staff needs to know it is not about speed it is about quality service is one on one not who's next pay attention to who is in front of you and find out what they want staff needs training at the front desk Hyatt or Marriott mainline hospitality training would work.

The customer service from everyone was excellent. The pool was closed when we stayed and they provided breakfast in exchange. I was disappointed I had to suggest the compensation for the loss pool time. The location is great for the museums and show we attended. It is easy to find and I would stay again.

Any hotel — — ANY hotel — — in the twenty-first century that charges money (let alone ten bucks) for Wi-Fi gets one star. So I picked up my phone — — for FREE — — and am stickin' it to their greedy bottom lines.

I had an absolute HORRIBLE experience with the staff of this hotel. The stay wasn't bad, and the room was okay, but I was there for a conference, and the customer service for shipping things back to me, the staff was very rude and unwilling to help. I had to call back three times to actually get my things shipped back to me. On top of that, I never received my bill for checkout, and when I called back to get it the person who answered was rude to me on the phone, and when she was done just hung up on me instead of saying thank you or goodbye or anything. Very poor service.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I have stayed here on 2 occasions, both excellent experiences. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's always a pleasure.

We left Atlanta in the late afternoon / early evening to beat an ice storm. We had a long ride with young children in not the best of weather conditions. Matthew stayed late just to help us with our luggage and assist us when we arrived. He couldn't have been more accommodating and professional.

I was in hilton for a conference for about a week. There is this person named HELEN who served us food. She is an amazing person with incredible hospitality. Having people like her work for you is just making our experience better.

The staff here went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable, fun, and safe. Everyone was polite and in good spirits, which is something that seems to be lacking in other hotels in the area. The food came to my room quickly, and the food and beverage manager went to great lengths to make me a mimosa — a drink not on the breakfast menu. The bathrooms were lovely, and full of top-of-the-line toiletries. I've told my parents to stay at this hotel when they come to visit.
