Rooms are very nice and clean.

While the hotel staff was very friendly, it was clear that hotel ownership remodeled this hotel on a shoestring and is not providing their onsite staff with the help needed to maintain it properly. We reserved a 2 night stay thru a third-party booking site. Upon arrival we were greeted and handed our room keys. This room was clearly NOT cleaned from coffee stains on the counters to a bathroom showing signs of the previous occupant having a "really bad day". We returned to the front desk where the attendant didn't seem surprised and offered us another room, but not before she went upstairs and "checked" the room herself. Upon entering this "new" room it was evident that she had sprayed it down with Lysol and freshly wiped the surfaces. The room was not great, but suitable, until it was evident why she used so much Lysol, the room had serious mold issues. The next morning the smell of mold was evident and it could be seen peaking thru the paint in some areas (see pictures). In addition to the mold the room was just dirty. Smudges on the walls and spills that clearly were below line of sight so were left to be (see pictures). Again I spoke to the front desk attendant, after waiting for him to deal with another customer having similar issues, and was basically acknowledged with no offer to do anything. I then noticed that the hotel has mold spray at the front desk, so it was clear they were aware of the issue and trying to band-aid it (see pictures).

Love the beds it the best part always 1st choice.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Overall, I had a great experience with this place, staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful.

Dog friendly and 1st floor convience. Close to restaurants and shopping. Clean with all the im room amenities Fridge microwave. Plenty of towels.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, sanitary breakfast options, they remembered us by our name — highly recommend staying here. We were skeptical to stay in a hotel due to Covid but everything was extremely clean!

This hotel is awesome. Staff at check in and thru are stay have went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We are here for Gator and Gamecocks game and they gave free shuttle to and from game. Will definitely return when we come back for next game.

Most comfortable hotel that I have stayed in in years. First time bringing my dog. Room was very clean. I will definitely stay there from now on.

This hotel is pretty average. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms are sufficiently stocked with towels and soap. And, you get free popcorn in the lobby. What stood out to me, among anything else, were the eggs. Oh God, the eggs. Food doesn't make me too emotional, but when I took a bite out of those eggs, I was overwhelmed by sheer disappointment. If you hate yourself and want a bad day, just eat some of that congealed failure, and your wishes are granted.

I highly recommend anybody traveling thru Gainesville that needs to stop for the night stay here. Joe and I got in about 11pm, they unquestioningly accepted our cat, the room was huge, clean, bed comfy etc. The whole place just had a very calm, happy vibe. And the kicker-was only $79!

This was our first time at a Comfort Inn and, I admit, we were skeptical. But we were very pleasantly surprised! The staff were very friendly and competent, the room VERY clean, comfortable and quiet. The beds were awesome — queens (not doubles) and very comfy mattresses, and the linens were quality with down alternative type light comforter. We travel with 2 well trained dogs and are often frustrated with available choices or high pet fees. The $15 fee here was very reasonable and with the cleanliness of the room (vinyl floors help), you would never know this was a pet room. Thanks, Comfort Inn University!

They have great extras in the room and very nice staff. Beds are padded, and a choice of pillow preference our of the 4 each bed. Brkfst was good. Only drawback is highway noise but don't they all.

Above average 3 star hotel that lives up to it's name. Having stayed at quite a few Comfort Inns lately, I have been very satisfied with the rooms, the bedding, the cleanliness & the food. Everything is just a bit better than other hotels in the same category. And, they all had friendly staff, too. I will be sticking with Comfort Inn whenever I can.

Very clean. The room has a blue accent wall! It is so much better than the drab neutrels you usually find. The bathroom is beautiful and the mini fridge is in it's own little space with a microwave, counter, and a shelf. There is also a desk and office chair, as well as an arm chair. The bed is comfy. If you need a snack there are popcorn and cookies in the lobby! Would definitely recommend!

We stayed unexpectedly when our car broke down on our way to spring break. This is the nicest comfort inn and staff was exceptional. Our car took longer then expected to fix. TRACY, at the front desk, was so nice and sympathetic and certainly went above and beyond to help us stay another night, although we ended up renting a car and continued on south. The kids loved the cookies and popcorn in the lobby and breakfast was good as well.

I was placed in a room which previously had pets despite requesting in advance not to be given one. It has a hard vinyl floor which isn't very nice to walk on and from what I can see, doesn't clean easily. There were animal hairs on the armchair which got all over my clothes. The bathroom is very small. You have to close the door to get to the toilet or the shower. The parking lot was clogged with drivers hovering around looking for a place to park because they don't know about all the spaces behind the hotel. The breakfast room is way too small and far too crowded. Sitting at a table you are almost rubbing shoulders with the stranger at the next table. Food is the usual you would expect at a Comfort Inn. I asked not to be charged for the room safe but they did anyway, so I had to call to have the charge removed. The walls are thin than usual and I easily heard the TV in the next room. I will return because the points pay for my vacation, but I would rather go elsewhere. Edit. On a subsequent visit I paid for a suite and got a much better room experience.

A quite nice and comfortable house. With extras like hair dryer, safe, outdoor pool, clean, with air conditioning but noisy. Price/performance in order.

We loved this place! Staff was friendly, and helpful. Rooms very clean, smell good. Only negative is… Get a room on far side from freeway, if you need quiet. Very nice breakfat, coffee is always fresh. Most of all, they work with the VA hospital, which means a lot.

Our client, Mark Fowles, is a touring entertainer who stays in hotels often and knows what it takes to be a top-notch property like this one! The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the room is perfect. Very conveniently located and there's a free breakfast in the morning, as well as a gym, and a laundromat to get caught up with before hitting the road again!

We chose this hotel because it had pet friendly rooms and we were traveling with our dog. We stayed in room 108. Within 5 minutes of arriving, my daughter's feet were black from walking around bare foot on the floor. There was also stuff splashed on the wall. This room was not clean. We were exhausted from a long drive, so we didn't complain. In my opinion, if one room is like that, they all probably are. The next morning, I told the lady at the front desk about the dirty floor and walls and she said "sorry". That's it. I guess they don't care about cleanliness there. Yeah there are snacks in the lobby as well as breakfast, but I prefer cleanliness.

They were so nice and pleasant at the front desk. Rooms were large and clean. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

When you walk into a place expecting a good experience and meeting those expectations, it is a good thing when you travel for a living. The fresh popcorn machine in the lobby is a nice touch! The spacious suite with private king bedroom allows the opportunity for separate interests to be pursued if traveling with a companion, even if that is simply watching separate television programs. The living area has a sizable pullout couch and easy chair. The room also comes complete with microwave, fridge, and coffee machine. If you feel like relaxing in the sun you need only to pop outside and sit poolside. The staff were all very pleased to be helpful, the room was exactly what we needed, and the location was near to plenty of shopping and dining with close access to I-75. I would definitely recommend the Comfort Inn.

Top notch service at this location. Rooms are clean and spacious. Very comfortable beds, and great Continental beakfast options, as well as popcorn, cookies, snacks, water and coffee available throughout the day. Our stay has been wonderful and we'll go back next year.

We stayed here this past weekend for the Gator game and had a terrific experience. The staff was so nice, set up a FREE Gator BBQ for all guests with hamburgers, hot dogs and sides, they handed out gator bags for the game and fans and were just all around very pleasant. The entire staff was very accomodating. The rooms were nice as well and the free shuttle is a great perk. Would definitely stay there again!

We were on the run from Hurricane Irma and stayed in many different hotels throughout our evacuation to & from home. We had never stayed at a Comfort Inn before, so we were very surprised to find rooms updated and modern. The beds are Extremely comfortable and we were able to finally get rest and sleep. The hotel is pet friendly — thank you Comfort Inns! And the breakfast was hands-down the best we'd had on the road. However get there before 9:15 a. M. As they start taking it up early. We stayed 3 days/2 nights — Overall an excellent experience. If all the Comfort Inns are like this one, we will be staying at this hotel chain exclusively in the future.

The staff was exceptional. During Irma, they were able to accommodate the needs of all that were there. Even though they do not provide dinner they went for Pizza and fed everyone in the building. Special thanks to Jennifer for the exceptional Breakfast, and to Cheri and Tequila for their accommodating all of my requests, Great place to stay. This will be my go to place.

Clean room. Great service. Easy reservation, check-in and checkout process. It could have slightly bigger TVs. But excellent location!

As a traveling musician a comfortable and large room is great beacause we usually travel with some of our gear and bags. The rooms at the Comfort Inn were very spacious and we REALLY appreciated the coffee, tea, cookies and popcorn available at the front desk! those little details really make you feel at home after hours in a van! Thanks Comfort Inn!

Best place to stay in Gainesville! They are super friendly and have the best customer service. They're very clean, up-to-date with Decour, spacious, free snacks and they are close to a lot without being in the middle so easy to get in and out without having to fight traffic. No riffraff around. Free easy parking. They have a few little things that most of the hotels don't have, like a cover over the peep hole in your door that just makes you feel safer, Bath mat so you don't slip, USB ports at your nightstand, snack and drink machines throughout the hotel, and etc.
I had problems with Wi-Fi but it wasn't them it was my laptop but the employee was sweet enough to come up and help me fix it. Most other places will make you call a number and speak with some tech support. I will use them each month I come back!

Very pleased with our stay here, pet and all! Hardwood floors, extremely comfortable beds & pillows and a full breakfast in the morning. Clean and tidy throughout the entire hotel. Each employee we encountered had a nice smile and friendly attitude. Will be using this as our new go-to hotel chain.

A good place to stay with a courteous desk staff. I stayed with my wife and 2 daughters. The front desk sent a pack and play crib up promptly, but we had to make do with using an extra set of bed sheets in the crib instead of a proper sized fitted sheet. As the cheapest place in the immediate area, it met my expectations and I would return again.

Great property! They got an outdoor pool, fitness center, and complimentary hot breakfast buffet. I also like the snacks, coffee, tea, and computer available 24/7 in the lobby. The ice cold lemon water is a nice treat too. Rooms are clean and comfy with a bar area complete with a sink. I'll stay here again!

Amazing remodeled huge room with great beds. Handle in shower was loose and can't be fixed. No problems with late checkout either. Gave us substantial discount on second night. Highly recommended central location.

The Comfort Inn University location is Gainesville turned out to be just what I was looking for. The best in quality, comfort, and location. The staff was very pleasant all around. I was allowed to check in early. While many of the rooms were still being cleaned, they front desk made sure I was able to get into my room immediately — — a very nice gesture that went above and beyond. The room was spacious and very clean. All the standard amenities, but also a mini-fridge and a microwave. A nice perk, considering I had leftovers from lunch and, later, dinner. The location couldn't be better. Right off of the interstate, it's also located right by plenty of restaurants and shopping. I was able to easily run a variety of errands and grab food before returning to the hotel. The Comfort Inn University location also offers a pool, fitness room, free Wi-Fi, as well as breakfast every morning. There are also snacks and coffee available in the lobby all day. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel was fantastic! The beds were soft and clean. The shower pressure was great, and the location was perfect. Lots of nearby attractions with a friendly staff. The free popcorn and cookies were an added bonus! Will definitely stay here again.

Great stay December 12th at the Comfort Inn. The location is so perfect, right off the interstate with lots of restaurants and even shopping very close by. Staff was friendly and efficient, quickly getting us checked in and directed to our room. The room was nice and spacious. Beds were very comfy. Staff was quiet in the morning, allowing to sleep in. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
