Eh… I came in town for a wedding. I called ahead of time to see if I could do an early check in, to which they said the woman on the phone said yes, because the room was ready. When we got there, and the front desk clerk finally came to the desk, she told me I couldn’t check in. I explained to her that I spoke with someone and they said our room was ready. She just said again that there is no early check in. I told her again, we are heading to a wedding and needed the room so we could change in, and get ready. She called someone, and they told her that indeed we were told we could check in and to give us a room. She didn’t say a word to me or my husband after that, just gave us our key to the room. The room wasn’t horrible. Just things were weirdly placed. There was a bed about a foot from the sliding glass door, so you had to squeeze between the two to go outside, and the bathroom light switch was outside of the bathroom, behind the door. The bed was pretty comfy, and the room was pretty clean. We ate breakfast the next morning at the hotel, it was pretty good. Waffle makers, coffee, juices, pastries and bagels.

Peggy, the front receptionist was a doll. Super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, the staff is so nice. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning our room. Family friendly with a great pool. We will definitely come back.

Bed bug room 306. Legs got chewed over night. Caught 2 crawling across the floor. Told terry at the front desk she said " oh well I guess we will have to call the bug guy" un organized, not cleanly, not worth it. Stay ANY where else.

Great place and great staff… peggy made everything so easy and she was more then helpful… kid friendly very close to beach and very good prices… I would recommend to anyone!

There was a ocean view if you closed one eye and squinted. Our room came with a horrible musky smell and mold all around the bathtub and around some of the bathroom floor. Sheers are filthy. Just a dirty feeling in the room. We booked the room for 2 nights. The smell is so bad we are leaving first thing in the AM instead of staying our 2nd night.

Whoever worked at the desk on mothers day needs to be fired she complained she had to be here today and gave customers attitude. She was very nasty to all the mothers that stayed here. The hotel made a mistake in our bookings and she just shoulder shrugged it off and tried to blame us for this mistake instead of trying to come up with a solution Nasty nasty woman. We had 5 rooms booked. I will never stay here again nor reccomend anyone to stay here.

Had an amazing time at this hotel. Less than a mile from the beach, the breakfast was great, there wasn't really anything negative that I can remember. It's close to these little restaurants and bars that are a good place to hang out. The hotel has some bikes that you can borrow to go cruise around the town. Definitely recommend this place for a quick little getaway.

The service here is awesome but the rooms need updating. My room was kind of small and the bathroom light switch was akwardly placed but it was clean and the water was hot. Also it was nice of them to offer HBO included in the price and the free breakfast was surprisingly good. I left early and they offered to refund the difference without me even asking. Would come back just for the hospitality.

Very clean, courteous staff, decent breakfast included. Booked via hotwire, so price was economical. Very close to the beach. Would recommend.

Lady at the front desk was nice. Everything else wasn’t I thought I was going to a nice hotel on the beach. Its like a catfish the pictures on the internet are bogus hotel is a dump old and outdated never staying here again. The pool was freezing and they charge 12 for a resort fee this place is far from a resort.

Not clean. Fans covered in dust, everything is rusted. Main door is barely closed and could probably be opened with a credit card, we got back and our card wouldn’t work and went down to the front desk and they gave us another key without asking for a name, ID, anything… not impressed.

What's not to like? A great location! A decent, quiet, pet-friendly room with Wi-Fi and a continental breakfast. They even let us ride their slightly rusted, antique Schwinn bicycles. :) Two thumbs up!

The staff was very friendly, but that was as good as this place gets. The pictures are not accurate, the rooms are very dated. The furniture although noted as new is not. The draws on the dresser didn't close correctly and there was a new granite counter top on a sink that had water damage on the sides. The bathroom fixtures were also old. The room smelled very must, the AC didn't work very well and there were stains on the sheets. We were charged $190 for a room that was only worth about $89. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Plus, there was no hair dryer!

Is really nice place to stay with the family really nice staff also the beach is half of block and also is quiet we did enjoy it so I do recommend it.

Location of the hotel is great. 5 min walk from the beach and lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are a tad small and recently updated but you can tell the building is older. Staff was remarkably friendly. Breakfast is basic. Nice outdoor eating area.

Simple and very clean and cozy.

This place was a dump. Nothing like the puctures, beware. No security at all, we did not feel safe here. We had a truck filled with hurricane Irma supplies and there was a group of kids, who clearly were not guests, partying in the hallways, in the parking lot and using the pool. I wouldn't recommend this place for a family at all. We left at 230 am, people yelling in hallway all night. We will never return there again. I suggest sleeping in your car, its more safe and peaceful.

Traveling for work, looking for a quaint little hotel with a view. This is it! Great rates, modern and updated rooms and Mike at the front desk was AWESOME!

It is RIGHT across the street from the beach and you are paying under $100 for a DIRECT oceanview. Really nice rooms, pretty, clean, pleasant. One of real Florida's gems. Nice people, conscientious staff, all American English speaking. Gotta say it again — really a find. Nice rooms, even nicer people, helpful, happy. It's unusual to find a place like this these days.

The breezeway is filthy, the stairs are filthy, the grout in the bathroom is grey, the toilet paper holder came off the wall on first pull, there are chips in the toilet seat, the parking is very tight. The balcony is two feet deep and overlooks people's back yard. The AC unit is blocked by the black out drapes. $100 for one night, including a $10 resort fee. The pool is clean and nice. This was my review before 10pm. There was a very loud biker party on the patio from 9pm-1:15 am. I tried repeatedly to contact the front desk from ten until one with no answer. It went straight to voice mail. When I called the front desk in the morning I was told that there was someone at the front desk until midnight and if she didn't answer that the next time I stay there I should call the police. I, I, I SHOULD CALL THE POLICE! The phone number is on the back of the door. Look I don't have any clue how they got a 3*rating but please avoid this meth den. A super 8 is a 4* compared to this. I hope I helped.

Very clean. You can tell they are trying to renovate the rooms so they don't seem so outdated. Very comfortable bedding & big bathroom. Oceanview was very relaxing.

A pleasant experience for the money (we got a significant discount through priceline). The staff was very friendly. Surprising breakfast variety given the smallish breakfast area. Some beach sand in the room is to be expected in a locally-owned beach hotel. It would have been nice if there had been some sticky notes or something with hints about the room's quirks (the light switch by the door controls the coffee maker, while the one over the bed controls the TV? ). In summary: if I had payed the asking price I would have come away disappointed, but for the price we paid our expectations were met for a "beach hotel. "

The location is nice. It's pretty close to a beach but it's a little dirty. The balcony is not too clean and the "ocean view" is more of a "block away from ocean". Our room had a microwave and a fridge and there was a alarm clock that you could pair your phone over Bluetooth and play music. Over all it's a good hotel for the price you pay. Just make sure you check the location before you arrive. There is a beach, 4 bars around and that's it.

This is a simple place that is dog friendly. The location is great. You can walk to the beach and the jetties. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Boat ramp close by. Lots to do here! I always enjoy the free continental breakfast every morning! Good times!

Staff friendly. Allowed me to check-in early. Nice decor in rooms. Clean. Mattresses very soft. Elevator stopped working while there, but fixed following morning.

This hotel has a great ocean view that is about 100 yards away. Staff was friendly, personable, and helpful with local fare. The room was clean with a great view and all of the standard amenities. It is a older property so somethings are noticeable such as older fixtures and some wear and tear, but you aren't here for the hotel, you're here for the beach and the local atmosphere.

Place had bugs rooms were tiny staff was very rude over charged told me to go screw my self. Very rude rip off.

I had no issues with my stay here. The girl behind the desk was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Place is right next to the beach, fishing spots and nice places to eat. Pool was nice and clean. Room was clean and the bathroom had a lot of space. I will definitely stay here again.

The front door was broken, hard to close and open. The bathroom sink fixtures were mixing, and the shower curtains were dirty. The bed sheets and pillow cases was full of dirt/sand with black stains. The A/C was broken and the refrigerator was leaking. The roof is also disgusting. The phone is not even connected, and there are fleas, and I personally told the person at the front desk I got bit by something and she said, "There's fleas here".

Absolutely disgusted by this hotel. The lady upfront greets us by saying What's up. Then proceed to room and it wasn't even cleaned. Waited over 45 minutes and still had dirty sheets and smelled like cigarettes. The beds were horrible very uncomfortable. Felt very dirty staying there. The only positive is the location and the view. Other than that don't waste your money staying here.

The room is sooo cute and has an island feel. Very clean and updated. We have the sunset view with a balcony to sit and chill. The bathroom is good size and clean with fluffy towels. This room is great for romantic couple or pair if feiends buat.

We stayed there last year during our vacation of the East Coast but wished we'd stayed somewhere else. The place smelled old and musty. The folks there were fine to work with but we were looking forward to head home.

Is great for a 2 star hotel. Really nice interior, and pretty good variety in breakfast (waffles, yoghurt, cereal, fresh OJ). Although it is not the best quality furniture the room is decorated really nicely. It is an Ocean view, albeit there is some construction going on on the beach. But, with the price being so low, this wasn't such an issue. My only issue was that they have (As most hotels do) a strict 'no smoking' policy. When I entered my room there was a bucket of sand with two cigarette butts on the balcony. During my 2 night stay I saw 2 of the staff smoking within clear view of guests. Maybe I am being a bit pedantic, but this wasn't a good look.

Disgusting room! We had the two bedroom suite! Floors warped and tiles cracked! Sofa was warn and stained. Looked like it was 50 yrs old! Cabinets all warped and paint pealing. Ply wood for shelves in the "closets"! When you sat on the bed it creaked and moved away from the wall (and I'm not a big girl)! Kitchen sink wouldn't drain and was dirty! TV's in bedrooms were from the 80's and were sitting so you couldn't lay in bed and watch comfortably! What a waste of $125! NOT WORTH IT — — — BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING! CLAIMS COMPLETE RENOVATIONS IN FEB 2014! NO WAY.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get out of town for a weekend (we're just from Stuart, down the road) and found this place. It's in a good location, though it gives the impression of being out of the way. It's near Archie's, an amazing bar/restaurant and near some beautiful beaches. Right away, we knew we'd love it. It had a patio where we could grill out and our room had a balcony where we could enjoy the night. The receptionist, Miranda, was awesome and went above and out of her way to be friendly and helpful. Terri, her supervisor, was also extremely nice. Not only because of the employees, but because of the experience, we have returned a few times and have a future trip in the planning :).

I am not very hard to please and I was in town for my fathers memorial service. After a 16 hour trip to get here, the first impression is that the owner (s) have let the place go. The appearence from the outside were not like the pictures. They look like they were taken after the last reno. We check in and get into our room and it at appeared nice. Soft and comfy beds and the maid kept up with the cleaning. Turned on the a/c and after 20 minutes we had a decent size puddle inside the room. It was ok because for it we were upgraded to another room. Watch out for slippery shower and grouchy owner. My wife slipped and fell while entering the shower and slammed her back off of the spout and left a nasty bruise and swell. Owner was notified and he sarcastically asked what he was supposed to do about it rather than apologizing. The ad said there is a pool, spa, and continental breakfast. None of the sort and the pictures deceive. The pool was being dug as we arrived and there was no spa in sight. The continental breakfast was cereal, some fruit, waffle batter and a waffle iron to make your own. Also, they are not complete on reno this time around and if the rooms we stayed in represents the final product, don't waste your money or time. Spend it on a large chain hotel. This hotel really only had there location and bed going for it. The part time help and maid were really nice also.

I have four in my family so we were excited to find an efficiency/appartment unit to rent. Until we got there. It was horrible and I am not a hard guy to please. It must have been apartments before that they just relabled as Hotel efficiency. Furniture, decor, everything was aged and in poor shape. The worst part was the stench of old smoke and new smoke in the room. I had to open the windows at night to try and clear out the smoke. The maid lived downstairs and was a chain smoker also. It would seep into our room at night. Absolutley horrific. First 15 minutes there I told the front desk clerk. She was nice and showed me a hotel room. It was just too small for the family and dog. It looked/smelled better than our room, but still was a far cry from a clean hotel room. I complained about the maid downstairs smoking but it did no good. Location is nice, but not on beach. Breakfast is ok with standard stuff you would find. I would stay clear of this place. Go to Dockside, or SandHurst.

This is a small hotel in a great location across the street from the ocean. It is not fancy, and a little dated, but has everything you need. It is clean, thanks to a great housekeeper and Cindy, the GM, did everything she possibly could to make our stay comfortable. She is a real asset to the hotel! Breakfast was not fancy, but certainly adequate. The only negative was the noise from the road. When in the area again, we will stay at the Royal Inn.
