Don't believe I have ever stayed at a hotel that had had a better balance of staff service, cleanliness, and visual quality. This is a wonderful hotel, and in an amazing location. While they do not serve the 'ol complimentary continental breakfast, the in house Bistro is a great place to grab a quality breakfast. Could not recommend a place for vacation more.

Good location essentially right on the Okaloosa Island beachfront. It looks new on the inside, undoubtedly helped by the modern design and the fact that it was built rather recently (opened in January of 2016). The staff are very helpful and pleasant to interact with, and breakfast from the "Bistro" in the lobby is surprising good.

Great location, right on the beach and a very short drive to many restaurants. Rooms are clean and a decent amount of space. Fairly new. Great lounge area and work spaces. Would recommend and return to this Courtyard.

This hotel is very nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful they all were wonderful. The amenities were good. I stayed on points but let ok’ing at the price, I would definitely say this hotel is overpriced. It’s an average to above average when comparing it to other Courtyard Marriotts. All in all I guess I would recommend.

Hotel is modern and staff is very nice but unless you are there on business with all expenses paid for, not a good value. No complimentary breakfast, the fridge is TINY, about half size of mini fridge, see attached photos. You have to pay 30.00 a day for umbrella and 2 chairs per day, when The Best Western 2 hotels down, has regular size mini fridge, complimentary hot breakfast, free umbrella and 2 chairs per room fail, pool bar, free popcorn, coffee all day long, fruit infused water, live music in pool area, and I could go on. The Courtyard Marriot offers NONE of the above and it is at least $20.00 more per night depending on day of week. We regret spending the first 3 days of our 7 day vacation at Courtyard Marriott. The Best Western though not as contemporary and new but very nice, clean and not dated, is a MUCH better value.

I have stayed here more than 5 times now. The rooms are spacious, and have high ceilings and modern decor. The staff are friendly. The view from the lobby is beautiful, and the beach is just steps down a boardwalk. It is my favorite place to stay in the Ft. Walton beach area!

Clean large room, air conditioning works great, looks relatively newly refurbished. Bathrooms large and clean. Great sea view. Staff were awesome at check-in, will be back again!

This is a new property. The rooms are modern spacious and very nice. I suggest you yet a Gulf View room, cost a few more bucks but the view is excellent. The hotel has a heated swimming pool. This amenity was not listed and was a nice surprise. The only drawback is a very small and limited restaurant service. My wife did however, like the Starbucks! Enjoy your stay.

Nice hotel on the beach, but set back a bit farther than the other hotels. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. The staff was friendly as I've come to expect with Marriott Hotels.

This is a newer hotel on Okaloosa island. The facility is very nice and everything is very clean. From the moment I walked in the staff was cheerful and helpful and they have been a pleasant surprise. The bistro in the main lobby area has great coffee and breakfast choices. The rooms are very modern and clean and I have enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Can't beat the location. Property is fairly new in great shape. Access to the beach and the pool make the place very attractive for govt travelers to Eglin and Hurlburt.

Beautiful hotel! Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and staff friendly. One minor receipt mistake and it was handled with Professionalism. Witnessed an amazing sunset from beach ramp. Easy access to beach! I can’t wait to come back! This time hopefully a vacation not business. I already recommended this one to a friend. Thank you!

Brand new, great views, room very modern with quality furnishings. Working in the area so no major recreational activities. Food in the area hasn't really impressed.

Showed up at about 2 pm to check into our room and we were told we would have to wait till 4:30 to check in. The room was $425/night and just a standard two queens parking lot view. Went down to the pool and aside from all the drunk adults in a dirty pool they had no towels, $425/night. They had no free breakfast like, Best Western, Hampton inn or Fairfield inn, all on the same street. Instead they have a Starbucks that gouges and inconveniences you for coffee and breakfast. Even the local grocery store and hardware store have free coffee you goons. Just jeez it's already $425/night, you still want me to stand in line and pay for a coffee in your lobby? You're not very good host. The room was clean.

No matter the time of day, there was always someone cleaning. Very well maintained facility and lovely staff. Food options in lobby, just prepare for time frames where certain menu items are not available. There is a boardwalk directly to the beach and a decent sized pool. We were lucky to be informed by a staff member of a firework show visible from the beach one night. The kids loved it and I was obe happy momma. All together, we had a great experience. Will return any time I can.

The hotel is in a great location with easy parking. That's about it. The beds are like sleeping on rocks and the air conditioner is not only loud, but also not very effective. It would just kick on and off instead of staying on and keeping the room cold. I had to sleep without blankets. I feel the need to talk about the beds again because I'm writing this review laying down on it and it's literally softer to lie down on the floor lol. The beach was nice and the pool was nice. The bathroom is nothing spectacular, okay shower head as good pressure. The night staff was very pleasant and warming. The day staff was not.

The hotel is great and staff are friendly. Free parking and Wi-Fi. Very spacious room with a small fridge and microwave build in. The hotel also has a private bridge connected to the hotel small pool and oceanfront. Very nice with white sandy beach. Decent little fitness center with 2 treadmills, 2 elliptical machines and free weights for your workout. The fishing pier located just a walking distance away. We saw a few jumping dolphins and tons of fishes while we're there. No complimentary breakfast!

Great hotel right on the beach. It is new. Rooms are great; very modern. The beach is amazing. There is an empty lot 2 doors down so the beach was never over crowded (stayed over a major holiday weekend). Service was okay. Not what I would expect from Marriott. I'd stay again hoping that the service was a result of the newness of the property.

Nice location next to the beach. Not too many people on the beach as with other nearby areas, which was a plus. The room was pretty nice and breakfast was descent as well. There was a fire at the pool the night before but the pool next door was available. Overall a great stay. Would recommend.

Staff was friendly. Views weren't great. Rooms were clean and not too dated. Was there for business for 2 days only. Great beach access.

It was nice they had an entrance to the beach I didn't like that the pool was outside so I couldn't let my kids go outside and the pool was open to anyone so if a stranger from outside were to come all you had to do is turn the knob and the exercising room only had three things and some weights but they had two TV's in one room a king size bed with a couch pull out bed they had a walk in shower the elevators took forever free breakfast and they had a little store on the first floor they had a couple of microwavable food candy and drinks beach towels etc microwaves in the room coffee machine and a miniature refrigerator I hope you enjoy your stay.

Was hoping for a hotel with a view of the ocean, this one doesn't quite give you that. There are maybe 12 rooms that have a view of the beach front. The hotel is tucked away between to large complexes. Our room was very nice, but our air conditioner made some awful noises. They have a nice variety for breakfast, but it felt just a little too congested. There is a small heated pool that is about 3 ft deep. I enjoyed the beach most of all. We stayed for Christmas and it was amazing not having the snow we are use to!

Very good experience. My two kids loved the beach and pool, well we all did. I was here in December so the heated pool was nice. Hotel was very clean, breakfast was good. I also liked that they have coffee all the time.

My only real complaint was that as I was walking to the Bristo early one morning one one the cleaning lady's commented that I looked like I could use some coffee… Hot tub or balconies would have been great but overall it was a nice, pleasant stay. Right on the ocean with a nice view. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Beachfront with private access, great view from rooms on the southside, spacious, courteous staff, quiet & family-friendly, great location near some really awesome seafood restaurants. Will definitely come back again!

This was an amazing stay from beginning to end! Super clean, comfortable beds. The heated pool and very short walk to the beach area were also a plus. We love this area of Destin/Ft Walton Beach. Amazing kind and courteous staff. Headed home to Texas. See ya next year!

This hotel was nice, it has only been open a few months. The modern and upscale design of the room was great however the room was not clean… from the bathroom toilet to the actual sleeping area. Whoever was supposed to inspect the room prior to us arriving definitely dropped the ball. The last straw was when we pulled the sheets back on the bed and found blood stains on the white sheets. I will post pictures. This was awful and I got the guy Phil I believe was his name he came to the room and actually saw the sheets and said wow that is defintely blood and apologized. He then gave us fresh sheets, however I was pissed because I didn't come o vacation to clean a hotel room and make my bed when I arrive I expect this to be done. I also talked to a general manager by the name of Patti, she was unapologetic and questioned if I had an injury… I became even more frustrated because we had not even got into the bed for it to be our blood. Her lack of concern, sarcasm and awful customer service skills will be the reason I never return and tell everyone I know not to as well.

We had a wonderful stay at the courtyard Marriott. Right on the beach. The room and hotel was beautiful recently built.

My family and I stayed at this hotel from March 27th through April 1st, 2016. I am a Marriott Gold member. This hotel does not really give you the resort experience. It gives you a minimalist hotel experience on a nice beach. Parking — Great parking. Slots are narrow. Watch out for the support posts; nice side mirror scratches. Parking usually fills up by the evening. Some overflow parking near the pool. Well lit. Hotel — Overall very nice. Main floor (1st floor) is very nice and spacious. — Lots of nice sitting chairs and TVs to watch. Concierge — The hotel staff not really well versed in local activities. They basically do a Google search for each request rather than have any information available already. Restaurant — Food is usual Courtyard menu. — They seem to short staff for breakfast on weekdays; usually one person doing it all. — Food was done well and is a nice option for eating in. — Lots of breakfast options nearby. Room — Very nice room. We had two queens. — Definitely not enough drawers. My wife likes to take out all of her clothes on vacation and put away the luggage. She could not do this in this room. — Bathroom is spacious. Shower was nice. — The cleaning staff does a great job cleaning up all of the sand your kids will bring into the room. Pool — Nice heated pool. Nice size. No diving board. — No pool toys for the kids available from the hotel. — The pool bar never seemed to be open.

The best experience in the area. Staff very accommodating, friendly and professional. My room was so clean and the comfort level was outstanding for the bed… I love what Marriott has done with courtyards!

New hotel! Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Views of the Gulf. Very pleasant staff. Clean, in fact immaculate. Very modern decor. Cute bistro with Starbucks coffee. Will stay everytime we visit.

I could not have loved this experience more. Check in was friendly and warm. Anything we needed was taken care of quickly. They serve delicious food at the Bistro and having Starbucks coffee is defiantly a plus. The room was gorgeous, had a great view of the ocean. This property is literally brand new and modern. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is not built yet but it will be the best hotel on the island! Why? I mean come on. Nothing rivals Marriott.
