The Jamaican guy that is a manager really really great guy! He accommodated us the best he could! He was really do everything in his power. We hated this hotel! Rooms were dirty and the sheets were dirty bathroom is super small! False advertising at its best! The pool was the only thing that was nice. The Asian lady was rude at the counter and we also seen a white lady who cleaned rooms arguing with a man that was dissatisfied with his room! And she called the police on him and his family because he wanted half of his money back. This hotel needs to be remodeled! One room smelled like straight bleach I couldn’t take it! It was like they were trying to cover up mildew! Yuck yuck! Next year we will not stay there.

Absolutely loved this place! Romantic with great view of harbor. Plenty of little shops and restaurants within walking distance. The view from the balcony watching the fishing boats and yachts come and go was nice, very nice. Can't wait to spend a leisurely vacation there again. Reasonable prices during off season.

Not the ideal place like it was advertised. Mold on the walls, wouldn't let us have more washcloths, bathroom was so small you had to open the door to change your mind. I gave 2 stars because the pool was really nice and the breakfast wasn't bad.

Absolutely awful. The lobby is the only halfway decent looking part of the entire place. The rooms are filthy with walls cracking and plugs hanging out of them. The floor is dirty and the room reeks of mildew as if the whole hotel has been flooded multiple times and it never dried out. The bathroom is hardly the size of a broom closet and is so small you can barely even step inside and close the door. The shower is filthy and stained and looks like its taken part in a horror scene. AND as if that wasn't enough the bed (the only reason you're really here) looks and feels as if it came from a hospital. Also the beach is a 10ft strip of sand. Save yourself the time and money and go to the super 8.

Me and my husband are checking out this morning and we have LOVED our stay! Everything was wonderful, especially our view! The room is very nice, the bathroom is a bit small but overall, it's perfect for a little honeymoon like ours! We will definitely return!

Wow. Where to begin. Should have stayed at the motel 6, at least then I would have expected such a crappy place and saved half the money. The incompetent front desk over charged my card resulting in an overdraft fee for me and refused to fix it or apologize. Couldn't walk barefoot in our room the ground was so dirty. Cheap toiletries. "Private beach" is laughable. Coffee runs out within an hour of breakfast starting and the front desk just looks at you like 'not our problem'. Breakfast is just prepackaged bs. Stayed four nights and two of those nights guests were being interrogated by cops. Summary: crappy place to stay. Save your money.

I'll save you all some time. Don't be fooled by the photos. This place is a dump and the bathroom is tiny and disgusting in the room. There was a giant wad of hair in the sink drain! The balcony door was missing a handle and the lock was broken. The beds creaked very loudly when you simply sat down on them. Paint was chipped and peeling off of the walls. You hear every noise from the road and the hallways. The room was just terrible. This place was worse than a Super 8 or Motel 6 for more than twice the price. The only half decent perk about this place is it's walking distance from the boardwalk. Other than that, you'd be better off sleeping in your car.

Our room was facing the Destin harbor and pretty much right over the water in the bay! It's a little dated and the bathroom was small but the room was a nice size. Both beds were pretty comfortable. Front desk clerk was super pleasant! The price is reasonable for the room facing the Bay!

The staff was ok. The picture lie about what the facility looks like. The rooms was dirty. I had to use a wash cloth to wipe down the walls. The bed was not so comfortable. The sheets did not get changed and the tubes did not get clean either. And don’t ask for now towels and wash cloth they will tell you to wait for housekeeping. The breakfast was ok for children but not for adults. I wish they had more fruit and Soy milk.

So. The bathtub paint is peeling to the point of clogging the tub. Had to unclog it was gross. Beautiful king room. But tiny dingy bathroom's. The bed is extremely creeky and we had to move it away from the wall. Beautiful veiw. But not worth what we paid to stay. Edit — we were trying to check out and NO ONE WAS THERE. We waited thirty minutes for someone and tried to ask around. They said the manager was at the pool. I walk around to the pool. No one was at the pool. So we waited a little bit more and gave up. Breakfast was okay. But again. Not for what we paid.

The view was amazing. The room at first was fine, but the paint in the shower is pealing horribly. The bed is comfortable but creaky and there weren't any sheets or blankets for the pullout couch. The staff is awesome though. It's not terrible for the price.

The pictures of the hotel tell a lie. The furniture is beat up and outdated. The lobby smelled like smoke. The carpet in the halls were ripped from being over stretched. The sliding door was droken and wouldn’t shut. Probably because it was the original door 70 years ago. The inner room walls were all stucco. Which Looks great for a indoor racquetball game. They have rust on their baseboards. Their lamp shades had stains of grease. Gross! No closet doors. For breakfast they only had cold cereal, toast, oatmeal packs and some kind of mini sausage sandwiches that you had to heat up yourself. The only good thing was the one free wipe to take off my makeup.

Very accommodating. Staff gave us excellent service, were friendly and prompt to address concerns. This is not a new hotel, but it is clean and very well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend to others!

Stayed here on 2/23 checked out on 2/24 This hotel has a bad odor. The pictures on the website does not match what you actually get. It is very old and very outdated. They should put more money back into rebuilding their business. This may be an okay place for spring breakers, but for the more mature I don't think so. The price was okay, but you get what you pay for. I have learned my lesson.

I would have gave 4 stars but had a few minor issues. The one bed was broke, luckily we had two; soda machine ripped me off and they couldn't help me; and our room had the entrance canopy attached off the balcony and wasn't pleasant looking at the trash on it. You can smoke on the balconies and they even supply ashtrays which is a plus. Also they are a locally owned hotel which I like. They also allow pets but there is a $75 fee.

Not bad for the money, if you're on the harbor side. It's a great view. Not the cleanest place, but tolerable.

Great views in the rooms facing the harbor. The rooms are clean but needs some updating. Some of the lighting fixture didn't work in our room.

Hotel staff is pleasant, and the beds were comfortable. Simple amenities like a microwave would have made it 5 stars.

It was nice being so close to 30a and Fort Walton. The rooms over looking the harbor are amazing.

Its horrible here been here since Monday night and the room have spiders and ants. This is a bad hotel small ass rooms and we paid 600 to stay here never again and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to nobody.

The price I feel was way too high for what you're given. I know it's right on the water and what not but at the same time I prefer room cleanliness over hot spot hotels. We came with some friends that ended up leaving the day after checking in because they found a bug in one of the beds. Also I went to the continental breakfast (which was cereal packs, MINI muffins, bread for toast, EGGO waffles. Are you kidding me. Yes EGGO waffle like for kids. That's what they're giving out for their continental breakfast. The juice and milk were in pitchers on top of the counter. ) and the dining room is pretty nice because of the glass walls. U can see the water while u eat. There were only 4 or 5 tables to sit down so the area was very small. My group of people were 3 adults and 2 children. Our friends were 1 adult 5 children. If we would have went down all at the same time for breakfast it would have been hell because of the size of the area. Overall this place was horrible and was happy to leave.

The Inn on Destin Harbor is one great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the staff is very polite and professional. The view of the Harbor is spectacular. We park there, and walk to the Harbor Docks, that start / ends next door. We don't have to drive anywhere for activities, restaurants, or for fishing. The price is most reasonable. Definitely a great place to stay and play. I give them 5 stars…

I checked in on Friday 7/28/17 at about 6:40pm. I get to the room and pull the sheets down. There is long black hair all under the top sheet as if someone cleaned out their hair brush and stuffed the hair ball in the bed. To make matters worse, when I called downstairs to ask about the sheets being changed out I was advised that the only employee working the entire hotel was the receptionist and all he could offer was for me to go downstairs to the front desk and get sheets from him to make the beds myself. I'm supposed to be here for the entire weekend and spent over $400.00 on this hotel. I have never seen such horrible customer service nor have I ever visited a hotel that had hair all in the bed. I can't believe I drove 9 hours for this and I have only been here for 18 minutes. Do not stay here!

The rooms are not well maintained. In general it is a nice place. There is no bar, no restaurant so if you are looking for these opportunities this is not your place.

Checked in 6/17/17. Friendly staff, great harbor views, & great location to Harbor Walk Village but Motel is a dump! Needs major work. Husband had to tighten bolts under sink as it was leaking, patio is a puddle when it rains due to poor design of bldg. Overhang doesn't go out far enough & roof leaking in 2 places in room! Save money & stay somewhere else! **no complimentary when I was there!

First time in Destin for a weekend getaway and we abosolutely loved this hotel! The pool is lovely and the view is incredible for the price. A great place for alone time and the staff treated us far better than what we have experienced before. They made our stay overly great. Definitely will return. Update: 4 years later & we still love this place❤️

I was very disappointed with my experience. The fire alarm woke us all up at 3AM. And for about 20 mins the staff never addressed the issues or came outside and explained the situation, we were all in confusion. The fire department showed up 45 minutes after the alarm went off… So real safe folks. Good thing it wasn't a real fire or we would all be dead. Also the elevator was broken (who wants to climb 5 flights of stairs? ) and the breakfast has no options.

Nice location and friendly staff. The hall is very nice and charming. Good pool. Our room needed renovation, the bathroom was tiny and the bath was not draining properly. Not perfectly clean. Breakfast was ok.

Some of the rooms are newly renovated (ours was not). The beds were soft — I like them that way. The sliding glass door to the patio had no lock on it. Free breakfast includes muffins, bagels, cereal, packets of oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and several juice choices. Within walking distance to the Harbor Walk (0.6 miles). The view by the pool is nice.

Great location and clean hallways/lobby. The room is clean and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are tiny, water temperature very inconsistent. Ok breakfast, typical continental: dry cereals, muffins, bagels, yogurt.

Very disappointing stay! First of all, the pet fee is very steep. $75.00 per stay! The inn also does not enforce their pet rules. Pets are suppose to be 30 pounds and under. Upon check — in their were two dogs (with same owner) that were well over this weight limit! We booked 4 nights, but had to check out after the first night due to extreme noise. The third floor was the pet friendly floor we were on, and the room beside us left their dog to bark all day long! The walls are very thin, so this was extremely unpleasant at 6 am! The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. Breakfast lacked hot food. No waffle machine. No beach access as advertised! The view of the harbor is the only thing this hotel has to offer!

It doesn't get any better than this. Complementary breakfast, friendly crew, THE POOL IS AMAZING. Private beach. A cabana. I love this place. Spring break heaven for sure.

They gave us a room! Oh surprise entered the card and had people sleeping there. They finally allocated us a room on the floor side of pump room 1. Fatal. This super old hotel and lacks much toiletries. It gave me mistrust until stepping barefoot on the floor. Finally breakfast included but I didn't like anything. Frozen eggs and nothing to do the service there. I do not recommend to anyone.

My wife and I just loved our stay. The layout and decor is "old" Florida. The staff was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable. We had such a beautiful view of the harbor. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance, and the room rates were more than reasonable. This is now our "go to" place when we come to Destin again!

It is the best to vacation with excellent service and very well organized At any time and very clean.

Rooms are clean, the staff friendly and has a great location. Close enough to Destin Harbor, but far enough away for a quiet stay. Great views of the water.

It's an older hotel, but it checks out. Staff is friendly and helpful; rooms are small and spare but clean. The king bed is soft and cozy. But your most important amenity — the view of and proximity to the Destin Harbor — is excellent. I'm starting to make a habit of staying here at Christmas. An absolute steal in the off season.

We stayed Labor Day weekend for just two nights. I called earlier in the week to see what time we could check in. I was told that check in was at 3:00 PM. I stated that we had a wedding on the Gulf beach at 5:00, could we possibly check in earlier. The receptionist said that we could be check in at 1:00 PM. So happy that the hotel worked with us. Everyone was very nice, the room was comfortable, and the view was awesome. Bath room was small, but it was usable. We had a harborside, 5th floor room. We are already planning a trip for Thanksgiving weekend and will stay again.

I stayed at this hotel from 8/10/ 15 to 8/14/15. The hotel staff was excellent. MY room was always clean, A very healthy breakfast, Coffee at any time, that, I ask for it. If not fresh, new coffee was made. The view is beautiful. Always had instant hot water. Pool was nice and clean, the changing of different color lights in the pool at night was very relaxing. It's just an okay hotel. Nothing fancy, so don't expect much. Room was decent, and a bit mildew smelling. Staff is great, harbor views are great. This place is good to stay for a couple of nights… nothing longer. Breakfast is meh, but you can make the most out of it. Bathrooms are extremely small and ventilation is almost nonexistent. I would only recommend this hotel for a short budget stay.

We stayed at Inn on Destin Harbor for 3 nights and loved it. We stayed in Room 3l0. Wi-Fi worked great. Awesome and breathtaking views were right from our own private balcony. It was so nice being close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and things to do. It was only minutes to get to the boat tours, deep sea fishing, etc. We really appreciate Carolyn and the staff going the extra mile to make us feel right at home. Even our l5 year old chichuacha slept good! It was really quiet at night with no problem trying to sleep. We will definitely be back to Inn at Destin Harbor in the near future! Just wish we could make that trip again next week.

NEVER NEVER stay here. There is always a reason why you don't see photos of the rooms. And the ones posted cannot be of this hotel. I actually took three and posted and you will see this place is horrible. The blue cloth drapery entrance was the best looking part. And it is starting to mold and tear. Very old rooms. Took me back to the 70's. Bedding is scary! I had to call from Clean sheets. What does that tell you? I actually see where someone else posted the same thing. Only a little more graphic. The glass balcony door would not lock but no worries. I would never go in that balcony anyway. If this is the only hotel you can get. Stay home and redo your closets. You will enjoy that more.

We spent our 38th anniversary here recently and really enjoyed our stay. We didn't care for the view from the 1st floor so they gladly moved us up and we REALLY appreciated that. The Harbor view side is really the BEST rooms. This place is an older Inn but very clean and quaint. I found it a refreshing change from high rise noisy condos. Breakfast was good, linens were clean and towels changed out every day. The staff was very courteous and friendly and we will definitely choose The Inn on Destin Harbor again the next time we go to Destin. :).

We always have a great time at this Inn. Been a year since we were there and going down today. Just other plans this time.

You will get 5 star service and satisfaction even the hotel has 3 star. This hotel is great and it has great harbor view. People in the hotel are very friendly and nice. Go to this hotel. You will not be sorry.

Having recently stayed at the Inn on Destin Harbor, I can say that your enjoyment will be much greater if you spring for the Harbor View rooms. The harbor side rooms have a beautiful view out over the water, and the balconies make it a great place to have a glass of wine during sunset. The other side (non-harbor) has a parking lot and a busy road as the view. Spring for the extra few bucks a night for the harbor view, ya cheapskate! Trust me on this. Otherwise, our stay was very nice. The staff were all friendly, the rooms very clean, and it's centrally located and easy to get in and out of from the road. I recommend it, and that's why I'm taking the time to say so in this format.

A little vacation my hubby n I took n I have no complaints. Its close to everythn interesting. Wish I had cm during summer so I could go to the beach but I will def cm back here.
