Reviews of WESTGATE PALACE RESORT 4*
Well, for the most part our stay has been good. Very disappointed with the 11pm closing of the pool/spa area! For as much money as you charge, we should have 24hr access! Soda machine is broken and ripped me off $7, parking is kinda bad. You really need an onsite parking garage!
The room itself is great, however, the beds are so stiff that my back was absolutely killing me when I woke up this morning! But, on a plus side, it has a dishwasher, dishes, glasses, coffee maker, ice maker, and a washer and dryer which was really nice. I wish they had balconies though! Would really make it worth while to have such a lovely lake view, but because it doesn't have one, it was kind of lame.
Overall, I'd give this place 2 out of 4 stars. I usually stay at the Hyatt Grand Regency Resort, and after this experience, I'll continue to stick with the Hyatt
Its comparable in price, with sooooooo many more and nicer amenities, including 24 hr access to their HUGE pool/spa area, has balconies and is just so much better!
Staff has all been super courteous though! And for people who are just looking for something semi nice that's close to the parks, its a pretty decent option. The Hyatt is still way better though
. Sorry.
Great staff and villas. Room service was awesome. Food was great (turkey burgers)!
Good hotel most friendly staff so far so good.
Beautiful place, nice rooms, friendly staff too, love the view from my room.
Beautiful place, nice rooms, friendly staff too, shuttles available to some of the parks.
The customer service was awesome. The facility is located in walking distance to lots of shops, also main attractions are close by. The room itself is great for family vacations or for a a romantic getaway. I enjoyed the amenities and cleanliness of the entire facility.
Totally amazing resort, have stayed here a few times … never disappointed, can’t wait to return ❤️❤️❤️
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Close to International Dr. Resort has lots to do itself, so you can stay there and not have to leave anywhere.
Excellent service and attention.
Had the best time here last summer! Staff was awesome.
Friendly staff always helpful plenty to do.
Beautiful hotel, with nice staff, we will definitely be back next year.
Only back since yesterday there was 8 of us staying and we had a fantastic time. The rooms are spotless and the hotel is in a fantastic location. Staff are very friendly and. Helpfull.
A very bad experience very rude people I will never come back a bad experience.
Been an owner of a2bd deluxe villa suite and they just put us in a smaller room. No one would help, rude staff. Will be selling and NEVER RETURNING. Completely taken advantage of. Scam.
Terrible experience
House keeping is just awful
Parking situation
Young children in hot tub
Lack of supervision.
Westgate exceeded my expectations. The shuttle to and from the attractions was super convenient. The location of the resort is 5 minute drive to Universal. The in house restaurant served delicious food. The turkey burger was grilled to perfection and portions were plentiful. Family atmosphere and safety were my top priorities and they had both.
The water in the showers is cold every morning. After reporting it to reception 3 days in a row I have given up. The rooms are a very generous size. Our 2 bedroom deluxe has cooking and clothes washing facilities. The walls are quite thin, we could clearly hear our neighbors on the first night but they were quite loud. There is a kids activity room with a small cinema/TV room abut my nine year old was not allowed to watch a children's movie unless a parent watched with him. Even though I was waiting at the door. Defeats the purpose of children's entertainment. There is a free bus to Disney/Universal and free car parking at the hotel. All in all a solid hotel and solid location for tourist spots, if you have a car.
We went here for a time share presentation. We own one in the area with a different company and thought we could save money on a local amusement by watching the presentation. If we liked what we saw we were open to investing. At the beginning Kelly introduced herself as our guide. Her English was so so and she talked really low. We began by telling her that my husband is a business owner. His phone rang a few times and he stepped away to answer it. You could see the frustration rippling off her. But as being a small corporation he has to take his calls. I wanted to tell her to keep talking to me but she made the comment to my kids that she would take all day if need be. As the tour began we stepped into a small area that explains the history of the resort and it was crowded. Being that she was so quiet I didn't hear one of her questions over the noise of the crowd. I asked her to repeat herself and she went off on me… She begins telling me that we are rude and she has a job to do and she wished we would just let her get done with it. I can honestly say it threw me for a moment and I did at that moment tell her that her comments were rude to finish her job and let us go. So she rushes the rest of the tour mumbling the whole way sets us down and goes to complain about us to her boss. He then comes to our table and plays it off like she had done nothing wrong and still trys to sell us on it even after I told him her rudeness completely turned me away from the idea.
The activities by the pool on the weekend were great. Rooms are small. As are the gym, arcade and fitness room. Premium cable is only in the common area, not in the bedrooms. If your not in the main building there is no staff to address needs as towers main lobby are unstaffed. This was a last minute booking but never again — So disappointed.
I stayed here for a week with my family and I enjoyed it. Very peaceful and amazing staff members! Awesome view at night. I recommend the top floors, it doesn't get hot so that's good. The beds are comfy and so are the rooms. The location of the hotel is very centered, which is very good when you want to go out and eat. The only downside is the cleaning service. It's not daily, and to be fair they don't clean good. They just do your bed, they also don't sweep the floors. I find it odd that they only come EVERY 4 days. Other than that me and my family enjoyed it. Recommend if you want a relaxing vacation with your family.
We booked the Westgate Palace for a quick overnight stay. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the resort is. At my sons request, we got a room on the 17th floor. It was absolutely beautiful and felt like a private residence. We were very comfortable for our overnight stay. This hotel is perfectly located next to Universal Studios. We will definitely be back again soon.
We stayed here for memorial weekend and it was the best experience we've had in a hotel. Brian the manager worked with us and was exceptional. Glad we stayed here and can't wait to come back again. — Rubi Catalan.
The rooms we're beautiful I stayed in a two-bedroom one had twin beds and the other a queen. Everybody was very nice and everything was amazing. I especially like that you could not get in or out of the building without a key fob.
Nice resort! Unfortunately, it rained the majority of our stay. My children enjoyed the movie, fishing, and the pool party. Although, it was rainy the DJ made the best/most he could with other activities. They also made ice cream sundaes and played in the game room. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, the pillows and blankets were extremely soft.
Stayed here for a week, really enjoyed it. During the week it's very quiet and relaxing. If your looking to vacation undisturbed I recommend staying between Mon and Thurs. The jacuzzi was very nice. There a lots of activities for everyone. The paddle boats are also very fun. The staff was very friendly and the attractions both made it very easy to purchase tickets. We stayed in a 2 bed suite which was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was a w/d as well which is very convenient. Laundry detergent was provided as well. Overall I had a very pleasant experience. Will definitely be visiting again.
I had a great first time visit; The rooms was very nice the checking in was long and the parking was limited. Our sales rep we had was super nice. But my complaint is our presentation began at 8:30am and lasted until a little after10:30am. And we listen and toured the property for 2 hours. They scam people with free gifts. And then use intense pressure so we can go to the timeshare presentation. And then they want you to purchase right away. But not me. Then bring another manager, over to talk with us. And I still denied purchasing a timeshare! I Would definitely come back To stay in the Westgate Resorts!
It was a nice place. This was a last minute arrangement and we had a party of 7 people. We had a 2BR 2BA and it was beautiful & spacious enough for all of us. We didn't use the kitchen but the couch was comfortable. We went to the pool and there is a nice fire pit with comfy chairs for the adults while the girls played. Also there's a nice Deck on the water. We met another couple that said this particular resort was one of the most "Family Friendly" properties but I thought they could have made good use of the bar area after 11P. Oh, and my key stopped workinf twice for no reason at all.
Stayed here with a family of 2 adults 3 children (11, 7 & 5). Had a really enjoyable stay. Great location close to universal, free shuttles to and from theme parks, housekeeping were amazing, rooms very spacious. Facilities are great both in the room an onsite. We had a great holiday and stay and would be happy to recommend to friends & family. Thank you.
An excellent place to enjoy your family vacation, fun, shopping and relax, all in one place.
2 bedroom condo with twin beds in one room and additional pull out couch for extra sleep space. Full kitchenette so you can bring your own groceries. Rooms are a little dated, master shower pools water on your feet. Offers good amenities and is within short distance to Universal parks and Disney and SeaWorld within 15 minutes away. Not as fulfilling as staying at Westgate lakes could use more parking spaces also around the towers.
They have a basketball court, volleyball area and what not which is great but you have to pay to rent the balls. Our 2nd night here and the room above us had a water pipe burst and the hole floor in our room was soaked but do you think they called to tell us about it, no they didn’t. While we were out of our room someone came into our room and we had the do not disturb sign on the door. We left the TV on and it was off when we got back and stuff was missing. The TV in 2 of the 3 rooms was fuzzy so we called the front desk they said they would have someone look at it, they came and said that’s how it is. We called back then they came back and messed around with the wires but still not how it should be. 4days like this then they tell us it’s not a problem with our room it’s coming from a different area and they will get it fixed when they can. We have service dogs and they were barking while we were out for a bit so instead of calling us or calling the room and leaving a message they just locked us out of our room, so when we got back with our children we had to wait in the hallway for 30min. By far one of the worst hotels I have stayed at ever!
Good value for the type of room. The two bedroom Deluxe suite has what you need if you want to cook and save a buck. Grills are available to cook on also. Wish the pool had a deep section. Need another hot tub or a bigger one. It was always crowded. Bar was good but pricey as expected.
This place is great for the price Q pay turned out wonderful I don't understand as people can complain about this wonderful place my family enjoyed the maximum stay, by the pool. I'll give you five stars. At the reception I was delighted and in my language the most important. We were taken to our room the suitcases. Staff very organized and especially very safe.
Went there to use a certificate I had for Drafts sorts bar. The place was nice and simple. A few big screens which were nice and the staff was really nice also. Not that big of a food selection but they have the basics and then some. Thunder a bit overpriced. They wanted $2 per topping for a burger no matter whether it was cheese, sauteed onions, bacon, whatever.
Very beautiful comfortable place employees predisposed to help in whatever you need…
Spend a few very nice days a single detail the vending machine Tower 2 I swallow 20 dollars.
We stayed here four nights this yr and 3 nights last yr… It's plenty of room for about 6-8 people. You can wash clothes in your own room so that's a plus. I did have a few issues tho. My shower didn't drain well, so I had a pool of dirty water at my feet. The shower look like it had mold around it, but had been painted over. The ac in the bedrooms don't get as cold as the living room. House keeping finally came on the 3rd day, because I called. Whn I called front desk to ask do they come daily, they said WELL WHAT DO U NEED. So after leaving the theme parks I was cleaning my own rooms. The bar is nice, but expensive. I stay here because of the space and privacy away from the kids. I think it's over priced because of the area.
Good service, the bed sheets need to be renovated. I truly believe the human factor has been the most important asset the resort has. The administration should invest more in maintaining their asset. Overall satisfied with the experience.
Nice Room Activities every day for Kids.
In the middle of everything! 30 minutes of Walk for Universal Studios!
Clean and comfortable. Close to a lot of activities, including Universal, where you can walk. Nice pool, small basketball court and beach volleyball are at our disposal. Pedalos are also available for a little ride on the lake. There is also a small arcade that we did not use. There is a small cinema with 4 films (which are made available for hire) different per day!
Very nice hotel. We had a pool/pond facing deluxe 2 bedroom suite. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Shuttle to attractions. Right there close to everything.
Propre bon service pres d autres comdité
clean and good service.
Great location nice clean maintained rooms. Excellent staff and friendly service. I received a text we coming me and said if I needed anything I could ask via text message. Innovation at its finest.
Very comfortable place and very upscale. I had a nice time at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was ok and the Apple juice and orange juice was watered down way too much. Other than that the room was great the view was lovely and they have a lot going on as the activities go for kids and adults. It's like a getaway in a getaway. Great for family to come and stay.
Everything was perfect, clean, location, reception, smiling staff, apartment 2bedrooms, 2 BAINSWC, living room full kitchen, washing and dryer, shuttles to the parks.
Beautiful place. Gated with Security. Stayed in 402 A Building. Clean except whats with the lack of hot water? Washer and dryer in suites. Comfortable beds. Quiet. Walking distance from International Dr and all the action! Friendly staff. No papertowels in units.
High price for small 2 bedroom with thin walls and very uncomfortable beds. Parking across the street when the hotel parking lot fills up since there are only maybe 10 garage spots and their restaurant food leaves much to be desired.
Excellent apartment. Very Li. Mpio and comfortable.
Even if it's a Resort. I think they should include dinner and improve the lunch schedule. Breakfast hours are 8:00am to 10:00am and Lunch from 11:00am to 12:00pm. They should improve the schedule and include dinner. Besides, lunch is always the same. But on the other it is a good place and more if you go for the Universal or Disney parks. Since the hotel is in the middle of the parks.
Not sure why so many negative reviews. We got a free upgrade. Lovely room, great having two separate bedroom suites. Great location to all resorts and theme parks. Cleaning service top notch. Great pool area, on site restaurant and bar. Free shuttle to some of the theme parks. Reasonable price for the room in my opinion. They are a time share kind of operation so be ready to be invited to a free breakfast and a talk on becoming an owner, but they aren't pushy and accepted our decline with Grace.
The staff has been very nice, the units are clean. Outdoor space is wonderful and lovely as well as well maintained. Unfortunately, the 2 bedroom unit is the smallest unit we have ever stayed in as timeshare owners of 20 yrs. The bedrooms are very small, but the living area has one couch that seats 3 people! No other chairs but the bar stools for the counter. Very awkward and uncomfortsble. Master bedroom is ridiculously small! Dollar store utensils and no cookie sheets or pans to be gad.
Great family location in downtown Orlando — so close to universal! Better bang for your buck with extra space / privacy with bedrooms and a kitchen living area! Delicious food on sight. The staff are extremely helpful! Would definitely stay again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities to do at the hotel for very low extra cost. Transfers to parks ticket sales, daycare, gym, swimming Pool A very nice lake. Very good location. Near Walmart, Orlando International premium oulets and much more.
Terrible is a Verguemza Q do not know Spanish. Bad organization!
West gate palace is a beautiful resort in an excellent location. It’s located within walking distance to all the dining, shopping, and attractions on international drive. It’s also only 1 mile from the excitement of Universal studios and city walk. This resort boasts spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom villas that are beautifully decorated with plenty of room for the whole family, a heated pool, video arcade, onsite deli, and many other amenities.
I got a very nice and comfy villa that over looks universal studios. The hotel members are very friendly and the resort is family oriented. The rooms are clean and the resort is very close to all of the action of Orlando.
Very nice and decorated surroundings! Rooms come with almost everything you need and are very clean! Never really had a problem here before, would definitely recommend it especially if it's pool weather!
Buyer beware! Went for a tour of their facility. When I told the seller I was not impressed with the fact that they charge an extra $200. A week above what the monthly fee is and I was not at all interested, she went crazy on me! She kept leaving me sitting at the table while she had to use the bathroom and get a pen and get a manager. Then she went as far as calling me pathetic for wasting my vacation time by doing a tour! Yup, pathetic! She even had me sign a paper saying I would never do another tour with them! Then, for a parting gift they actually gave me a 3 night stay at one if there resorts. Filed a complaint against this worker with a manager. He promised to resolve the issue then call me with the results. Never heard from him!
We went to a time share presentation. They served us breakfast and told us a nice lady. We didn't buy the time share and got free tickets for a show in Orlando.
I was not a guest, I went for a chat 2 days ago, I stayed a little over an hour in the lobby with no problem. But the time I went into the rooms and stepped on the rug, I started to get hives on the heels and red dots, very itchy… and the only thing I said I have to see brought myself from outside and when we left there and returned to the lobby after a few minutes stopped L Itchy but I left the marks of chopped on my heels, I assume they have to go in a few more days.
My family and I stayed here while in Orlando, last weekend and at first they put us in room 311 as we got off the elevator all we could smell was air freshner and as we kept walking we started to smell crap and then we saw a plunger outside a room and the closer we got to our room the smell of crap was getting stronger and when we open the room door the odor was deplorable my daughter's boyfriend went downstairs and told them the room smell like shit and we were moved to a different room which was better. Your rooms are too expensive to put quest on a floor when you problem new there were a sewage this was unacceptable and we will never stay here again.
Nice rooms, but hotel is dated. Staff is friendly, however housekeeping entered my room even though I had a Do Not Disturb sign up. They opened drawers and organized stuff in them. They opened the wardrobe closet and also organized it. Felt violated. Parking is ridiculous. $200 a night for a room and they offer very limited parking. You have to park across the street. Better options in the area.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS TO BE STOLEN After a long day at the parks, we come back to our room to discover that one of our belongings were missing. After waiting for security and filling a report to have a lock audit, the security staff confirmed that an engineer did in fact come into our room when he was not supposed to — no service ordered and/or complain of the room was never made by any of the members staying in this room — We stayed up half the night looking through our belongings to make sure that nothing else was taken. After a long night of worrying, we asked to speak to a manager the next morning to see what was going to be done about this incident. Unfortunately who we got could hardly be called that. A manager would at the very least be understanding and apologetic, this "manager" was none of those things. After a long and in my opinion one sided conversation with this "manager" he promised he would get in contact with us the very next day after he and his security team have had an opportunity to speak to the "engineer" in question. You see, it was the engineers day off and god forbid he be asked to come into work when an emergency is going on, especially if it has to do with him. I mean, my vacation was ruined but let's make sure this guy enjoys a day off.
Stayed in one of the deluxe 2 bedrooms and it was beautiful. Lots of room and was right down the street from the parks. Only had 2 minor issues, the master bedroom toilet would flush but the contents wouldn't always go with it and there was no where to put the trash in the kitchen area. Other than that had a great stay and they even gave us a late check out!
I own one of their properties and the truth is well disappointed, there was a night that due to a traffic accident went the current for 1 hour and 30 min Q I had to call reception Q to bring something to light porq and my children were asleep and sent me Lu Q Ces are hung on the neck in the nightclubs, there was only one emergency plant for lobby and elevators, and perhaps the guests are certainly on holiday are not important? And we unlike pay a monthly fee for the property in addition to that week, the other day never a discount for bad weather or even an apology, everything happened as if nothing, the other thing is that there are not enough parking lots for guests we arrived from the street one night s 11 pm and me. Husband had Q parking in front of the hotel Porq all the parking lot were full, the Jacuzzi dirty and closed at all times, it clouded nothing but the time and closed the pool, the cold water, we had Q open the key half an hour before to warm Q and sometimes was lukewarm, the best Q has the hotel is the food the Starbucks workers are phenomenal just like those of the bar especially Cuky! Some exquisite drinks, and the entertainment staff very attentive, otherwise a tremendous disappointment!
We paid over $200 a night to stay here for 4 days. We were told a secure parking spot was not provided. Their lot was full and we were told to park across the street because they did not properly plan for the over flow. I really don’t understand since we paid double what any other hotel was charging. Very disappointed that we got harrased by security for something that we rightfully paid for. They do not look out for their paying customers rights. Will never stay at any of their resorts again. Will be putting in a formal complaint over this.
We have just returned for a 2 wk stay here. We had 2 two bedroom suites.
From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff was very polite and always greeted you.
Our suites was fabulous. It was spotless and of a high quality.
We had clean towels every morning and our bins emptied.
The whole hotel is lovely.
After long days in the parks first stop was the pool. Which was never over crowded. Plenty of sun loungers and towels.
Food was really nice if you wanted a meal or snack.
And we used Starbucks in the lobby a lot.
This was our first visit but definitely not the last.
Thank you west gate for a lovely stay.
Beautiful rooms, amazing staff. Great price! I couldn't have asked for a better stay near Universal. The place is luxurious and the security is on their game.
Very comfortable and the parks of attraction are in short distance very good.
Horrible experience … horrible management staff! We are three families who visited the resort personally before hurricane Irma, we asked if the property had backup generators sufficient to keep the AC running in the rooms. Frontdesk personal assured us that the had backup generators to do so and that why we decided to book this hotel that is only 5 miles from our houses to keep our children safe and cool in the tropical Florida weather. Once the hurricane had hit, it became clear that the backup generator was only capable of running emergency lights in the corridors. We decided to move to another property as the rooms were hitting 82 degrees and we were small children (1 year old), but we were told that no elevators were functional due to power loss and asked to carry all our luggage down 8 stories on the stairs. Staff did not offer help with luggage. I spoke to the front desk manager (by the name of Brian) an arrogant brat that does not have a the slightest idea about customer service and how to address a guest at your hotel. While speaking to the front desk manager another person raised his voice screaming and tbhreatened to call security and asked me to clear his reception area… which he ended up doing. I asked for a full refund for the stay and was surprised to get an immediate no. I am filing a complaint with corporate and will follow up with my credit card company … Brain.
This is the worst establishment! Not only did they keep me in sales pitch to purchase a condo for 3hrs. When I walked out they became rude. None of the stuff that was promised free happen. Then it was roaches in my room. Told the manger he told me pest control housekeeper would clean my room. Not even offering a new room. Then return too room and my fiance watch was missing. 1200 dollar watch missing. I called the police and I will be doing a full prosecution. Also I will be filing something against the hotel. This is ridiculous and someone will be held accountable.
Please do not be fooled by their website. It's definitely not what it appears to be. If you are looking to enjoy your vacation please do not stay at this place. My family and I had a horrible experience during our five day vacation stay. The shower would not drain, the washing machine was broke, our clothes came up missing and never returned, housekeeping did not change any sheets during the 5 day stay, one day the room wasn't serviced at all, it took more than 20 or 30 minutes to get towels on every request, the elevator took forever, or was out of service, and very limited parking. The resort manager and housekeeping manager needs to be replaced asap. They do not care or value you as a customer and will treat you like trash after they get your money. This place needs a full investigation done on them.
Descent, resort in Orlando has lots of shopping, universal studios is close, property has activities for a small $$, lake does have snapping turtles and medium/small gators just sharing so be careful with water activities. Staff is friendly and buildings have good security. The pool chemicals a little strong caused my teens skin go peel and crack they could take time to monitor chemical intake, pretty harsh somedays.
Decent place. Spacious rooms. Downsides: 1) There shower drain was clogged and we had to take a shower with a puddle at our feet. 2) My card was blocked because I was traveling and during my second day of stay, the resort tried to add an additional hold which obviously didn't authorize, so they blocked my room key so that I couldn't access any of my belongings. I had to go down to the concierge and settle the bill in order for them to unlock my room so that I can continue staying there despite the fact that I had already prepaid for my entire stay. This is very ghetto.
This review is of the hotel's customer service and operations. I cannot comment on the facilities. My family was invited to take a tour of the hotel in exchange for a promotional package. We gave up our own hotel's breakfast and early access into Universal Studios to receive the tour. We were processed by three separate people, and the first two didn't note any issues. After we had wasted almost an hour of our time, the third person let us know we didn't qualify because issues with our IDs (mine being military). Once the issue was noted the lady at the desk let us know we were "free to go". That was the end of it, no apologies and no attempts to compensate us for our lost time or meals. If possible I would advise you to stay at a hotel with more concern for its customer service, reputation, and potential patrons.
Great place to stay when going to discovery cove, Sea world and universal studios. Several grocery stores located within minutes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and service is prompt. Great mix of activities for kids onsite as well as food/drinks. Only negative is this is a ownership resort so be prepared for sales pitch at check in, letters in door and phone calls. Not overbearing though as they are respectful. Other than that the walls between units seem to be thin and can set stage for some noisy neighbors at times. It appears that the design of rooms has the master suite being butted up to the spare room of next unit witch typically the kids stay in. In all a great place to stay as we will stay again for future vacation to the Orlando theme parks.
This is my second year staying at Westgate Palace. This year I decided to become a owner. I love Westgate Palace and will stay at other locations throughout the US. I have never seen a roach or leaks during my stay. Pools, lobby, units are always clean. Guess I got lucky! Thanks Westgate for being great! Only thing I can complain about is the pull out bed, it always get stuck in the coach and have to take extra strength or another person to pull out other than that great place to stay and I would recommend it to others. The tour or timeshare timeframe takes up alot of a person's day, 90 minutes nope, just say 3hours, they got me this time but just be honest with people it's not a 90 minute process. Again a great place to stay!

Comfortable and well-equipped apartments, close to many parks in Orlando. Universal a few minutes, Sea word etc. At 15 min and one reachable even on foot! The service of the room instead not always adequate, acceptable but depends on who passes…
The accommodations were nice, the staff was decent and it was a nice looking campus. That's the good. HOWEVER… I sent my wife on a relaxing weekend in Orlando and come back with a financial disaster I have to unravel because she was PREYED UPON by this pushy timeshare salespeople, and PRESSURED INTO signing an agreement that she didn't understand. My wife is a disabled veteran with very little financial acumen. SO, I put together the paperwork to CANCEL IMMEDIATELY the agreement that she signed, and followed the exact directions on the contract. She gets an email from these snakes saying that they are charging her card soon (if they do this, it will be reported as fraudulent). Also, they have not followed through on my request in the cancellation letter for a call back or even a simple email confirming that it is done. That's how much they seem to care. In summary, DO NOT PATRONIZE WESTGATE PALACE unless you want to get your time wasted and pressured by pushy timeshare rip off artists.
Dont judge the book by its cover! It's a good looking and eye catching place to stay in for vacation but it's not perfect. Me and my family came here very excited and so happy coz it will be our first time staying here in westgate palace Orlando. We had a very high expectation because it looks amazing and we heard that it's a nice nice place to stay in while having vacation. We were so happy entering our room that looks so pleasant in the eye and the view outside is perfect. But all of the sudden, everything changes when I was bitten by a BEDBUGS. We are so disappointed, a very nice place with bed bugs in the bed. I came here to enjoy and have fun but this place ruined everything. Now I'm suffering from itchy everywhere in my body and we cancelled some of our plans because this annoys me. They denied it first that they have a bedbug here, they said maybe a mosquito or ants. And like, wtf? A nice place with mosquito and ants in the bed. They denied it but later on they saw in their own eyes that there are really bedbugs in my bed. Then they'd decided to transfer us to other room which is 1205B, we became at least think that they care because they have action, but in the morning there's another problem who came out, the dishwasher have leakage. Like oh my God! I'm gonna be back to Miami with a bad experience. I wish I could post my bedbugs bite/bumps here. And I could show the picture of of our room and my body being bitten.
Stayed on Memorial Day week. Best place ever. Clean roomy rooms. Kitchen, washer and dryer a plus. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool. Paddle boats are a must do. Close to shopping areas.
2 bedrooms, and we slept comfortably and really liked the full kitchen. We will definitely be coming back. Other than the rude kid in the pool area it was a good stay.
Rooms are lovely. Front desk staff was a bit rude when I arrived. Interactions didn't get any better. EDIT: On the day of checkout I received a phone call asking if I could be given a tour and I would receive free breakfast. Do not do this. They're trying to sell time shares. The standard rate on this loan is 17.99%. (no credit check taken into account) They're rude, and get annoyed that you don't want to spend $30k at a horrible rate! Before this I would have recommended this place. I would have come back. After the treatment I was given I will NEVER return. Congratulations Westgate Palace. You've received the only review I've ever given less than 3 stars.
We flew out of Tulsa to Sanford FL to go to Universal Studios and stay at West gate Palace for 4 nights/5days… When we arrived at Sanford the airline had lost my luggage… our universal tickets were in my luggage. The front desk informed me when we got there that they could print them off for me. So they did. The room we got was excellent! It was on the 19th floor. Housekeeping even ended up doing our dishes in our sink. We felt so bad! The front desk and the gentlemen bartender we're awesome! The whole staff was awesome! We will definitely be staying there again! Thank you so much for making our trip awesome!
Upon arrival everything appeared beautiful. My wife and two children received three different rooms. The first room had roaches. At 2am were given keys to a second room that other guests were already in. So there we were in the hallway with our children at 2 am with no room. When they finally found 1 it wasn't clean. The security informed us it had been recently used by a trucker. The next day I spoke with Roland Villanueva the hotel's GM who was pleasant and understanding and also promising to adjust our bill for the trouble. Well needless to say there was no adjustment. At checkout we asked if the near violent commotion was normal for the resort. We witnessed security being called several times and overheard alot of profanity and drama coming in and out the resort. We were told there were alot of promgoers at the resort and staff were not able to control everyone. It was suggested we not return on this week or next to avoid this. Aesthetically deceived. Poor follow through from management. Wife felt unsafe.
It was an awesome experience. First room too small. Therefore upgraded at a reasonable rate. The beds, pillows are soo comfortable, shower pressure and temperature great. It great to sleep in a bed while on vacation that feels like home. My only small complaint is water park and tikki bars closes at 7 p. M. I wanted to relax enjoy the pool area with drinks while teenagers stayed in the room. The option of skipping tour allowed more enjoyment. Every staff appearance and behavior is friendly and professional. There was not one staff clothing or hair out of place. Kudos to draft house. We went to restuarant not expecting much. Unfortunately, we were wrong. I had the best thick turkey club sandwich, others had great juicy burgers. It was worth saving to take vacation here. Thanks to bell staff for transportation to activities. The family will be be this summer. Its worth it. The resort should not receive any negative complaints. Management and staff put forth alot of effort and hard work to make you happy and comfortable.
The rooms are small and the living room area was tiny not worth 167 per night. The location was great right in the middle of everything. The 19th floor view was amazing especially at night. There timeshare sales EXTREMELY PUSHY and practically forcing you to buy even if you tell them you can't afford it they try to put you in debt to get there timeshare. There timeshare boss yolanda is absolutely aggressive and pushy. I was treated nice by staff but those timeshare vultures are the worst. They had no parking available on the grounds me and my 5yr old had to walk across a busy Orlando 4 lane road in the dark back to the hotel. I'd probably never stay at the Westgate Palace Orlando Florida again.
Great location. Safe and clean. The restaurant much better than I expected. Skip the timeshare presentation and add 3 hours to your life. Two bedroom condo comfortable for 6 with full kitchen. A lot of negative reviews, I am not sure why. The place was built sometime ago and the bathroom layout seems odd by today's design standards. The place is packed with guess so they must be doing something right.
I travel a lot and this place was horrible. First off — they were unable to issue a key to your room for over 24 hours. Which sucked because you needed a key to get into the building, a key to get in the elevator and of course the key to get in your room. Waiting around for security to come to those building was nerve racking. Secondly these guys are constantly pushing time shares on you. We went down to have breakfast and apparently the $300 a night doesn't include breakfast unless you are an timeshare owner or agree to a 90 minute time share. So when we went to get a plate at the buffet, we were rushed by a arrogant sales guys asking if we were owners. We were escorted out if the room. I would suggest if you and your family are on vacation avoid Westgate Resorts in Orlando.
The Westgate Palace is a great bang for your buck. We stayed in the upgraded (delux) 2 bedroom option. We were on the 17th floor, which had great views. The elevators are very quick and smooth. The room were well appointed. The few negatives are that there are timeshare salesman, the shower space is tiny and they have huge vents between the bedrooms and the common area that let sound go through (no privacy). The location is ok. There is nothing really walking distance from it, but there was free parking, which security was present at all times. Overall, we were happy with our stay.
Arrived in Orlando only find that our booking, at another resort, was not valid despite our confirmation number. Through a travel agent we were directed to the Westgate Palace. They were extremely helpful allowing me to not only check in but to check in early. Two days later my daughter experienced a medical emergency and again the staff stepped forward to provide help, assistance, and support. This wonderful resort, and superior staff, made a difficult and challenging vacation as nice as it could be. I would highly recommend the Westgate Palace.
Checked in late. Elaine at the front desk was great and very welcoming. The room we got was very well appointed. No issues except the beds were a bit on the firm side for my wife. Otherwise 5 out of 5 service.
We booked and requested a crib. Checked in had to call down and then still 2 hours later at 730 pm called again only to be told sorry we ran out WTF I have a 13 month which ment a trip to Walmart not very conveneint. We finally get to bed and blinds are letting to much light in baby's is awake at 5am. 2nd night we have ton park across the street in some abondand parking lot. Expected much better service from a so called high end hotel! We won't be back and my advice is don't fall for there scams here either we herd a few horror stories from people that were here and they were trying to del timeshares!
Staff nice and work hard. Units are overdue for 10/15 year refresh. The cheapest appliances, TVs, fixtures and pillows are found in the units. Some strange things like the plates not fitting in the dishwasher and there being a large garbage trolly in the hall in place of a garbage chute. Free internet but you get kicked constsntly and need to re-login. Also only one small bathroom-size garbage bin in a two bedroom unit with a kitchen and two bathrooms. Very aggressive pushing of timeshares. Lots of scare tactics and threatening letters and phone calls. Our rate was good and the location is good but the Queen of Versailles tactics will have us shopping around for or next trip to Orlando. They don't do their members any favors by having rental guests feel like chum in a sea of sharks.
Hello i'm owner of a property there at wesgate palace of two rooms; very cozy hotel very good condition except in the master bath that leaves all the water out and gets wet it until the room carpet carpets already are changed just do not understand how it is possible you're for a week and only go to your room to clean it only once in those seven days the second is that I do not understand reasons which if we own and pay a monthly fee and every two years the maintenance to stay that week have to pay for it as we do not have the right to have breakfast on the floor above where make conferences and sell properties or is only for the first-time buyers or as they do not make any purchase and this visit for the first time also the breakfast that we see daily is the scrambled eggs with natural powder rather than eggs that should not be so because the owners as we pay month by month and do not enjoy all rights should give us a little more of months there as breakfast giving owners is pretty bad and I wish you the owner of the hotel or your child who is mostly this all the time there at the hotel me a convincing because being there the year answer last went on several occasions to his office to put this to you personally and never is found there or was what I said.
Lousy. Hotel full of cockroaches.
I've already found 9 cockroaches!
The room full of cockroaches. I went to dress me and my clothes had a cockroach and Ensim dropped me.
I'm waiting for that amanezca to see that response gives me the management as they are one in the morning and another hotel not I can go.
Claim by phone the Lord's response was that he had other 400 rooms and there was no resivido complaints. Osea queyo am a liar or all came to my room. In the 12th floor there are cockroaches in my room but not in others?
Am I lying?
Here I saw a comment from someone who also had problems with roaches here so I'm not the only one.
Nice resort! Excellent location!

We (family of 5) have just returned from 2 weeks at westgate palace, and I would go back again. Rooms were large and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for us. We were on 18th floor and had brilliant view at night across the lake. Thanks for a great holiday westgate.
