Reviews of Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, Lake Buena Vista Orlando 4*
Stayed with the wife and really enjoyed! Very kind staff and great amenities, would certainly stay in the future! 👌🏽 10/10
We were very disappointed in the courtesy of the staff. The property was ok at best. It rained one night and the next day we were unable to get into or out of our room without being in ankle deep water.
Great location and I love the people.
The worst place to stay! Neverrr again, My villa was not clean the time I was there, and when I call costumer service the guy got an attitude and told me housekeeping was busy and nothing they can’t do about it! Next time I stay someplace where me and my family get a better treatment!
Best experience ever. The place is beautiful. It has everything you need to feel right at home. I wish I could live there.
WHATEVER you do DO NOT take the tour when you go there. Because if you purchase you will end up angry, upset, frustrated, angst ridden and have your credit ruined by their total incompetence. The resort is beautiful. But again DO NOT go on the tour. And DEFINITELY DO NOT purchase there. Learn from my mistake!
My family and I just got back from our stay, and it was fantastic! The room was large, clean and we never had a problem with parking. The staff were very friendly, professional and pleasant to speak with. I would definitely come back and recommend this resort! My boys also loved the pool and entertainment in the evenings.
Was here with my client an it was absolutely nice an liked we was at home. Thanks for everything.
This resort is very large to the point that a car is often required to get around it. The apartments are huge and comfortable and have everything needed. The proximity to Disney is ideal as the entrance to the Disney site is less than 10 minutes drive. There is a great choice of restaurants within 10 minutes and 15 mins from the hub of International Drive.
I love this place I do recommend this place to anyone the service is good the rooms are beautiful it's like being home so many things to do here I come every chance I get. Love the staff thank you for making my stay good.
This is my 4th stay here and it never disappoints, the villas are luxurious with everything you need and the staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful swimming pools and lakes around the resort.
This resort is huge! very family friendly. Something for everyone to do. There are pools everywhere. Basket ball courts. Tennis courts. Restaurants on the property. Nice serene setting.
Excellent place to just relax and enjoy the surroundings.
It is a nice and relaxing atmosphere for any vacation stay. Wonderful and capable staff.
Spent a week there and Loved it! Only went to two of the pools and each one was nice and had different options! Room service was fast and on target!
Beautiful time! Clean place, very helpful, only asking and you shall get, they make sure you get all you needed while staying here!
I love all the amenities available for children and adult alike. I was excited about having a washer and dryer in the unit because I was able to pack lightly. Location is perfect just couple minutes away from the theme parks, but best thing of all — don't have to leave the resort to enjoy your vacation-everything is within reach. Will be back again.
Resort hasn't aged well over 40 years. Wifi works when it wants to, pool areas without any frills. Hot tubs were nice though. Kitchen was extremely small and ill equipped. No basic utensils like a whisk, steak knives or a decent size pan. Coffee maker and toaster from the last century. There are better options in Orlando.
Loved everything, specially the pool.
I love the large suites and the bedrooms. A television in each room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The concierge are very helpful and will accommodate you with all your needs.
Great place to stay in Orlando. The place is gated, with lots of pools and activities for the whole family. During night time, place is quite so it surely gives privacy to every guest. Their villa is big and great for family. The location is ideal because it's near to all theme parks.
Great property. Beautiful scenery. Quiet and peaceful.
We had a great time! Loved our villa in the Cascades! Nice and clean, pools were great, drinks were great (Miami vice 😋) staff very nice and helpful! They set up everything from our taxi and picking us up when our stay was over. Also loved how close Walgreens, Walmart, and restaurants were! The market place is expensive but there in a pinch. Can’t wait to come back in the future!
Outstanding higher quality accommodation with friendly service.
Not nearly enough workers to accommodate the amount of people that are here for their vacation. The few workers they do have are working their butts off. Steve and Katie who work at Cast away bar/restaurant were awesome! They got yelled at so much! And it wasn’t their fault… it’s management! They worked alone and did all the work!
We loved our stay. Helpful and kind staff, amazing rooms that are clean and quiet as well as modern and updated. The location is perfect and Walgreens within walking for groceries etc. All staff we super prompt and courteous — we would definitely recommend!
Pools were amazing wind clean and overall just an absolute amazing stay!
Great suites, wonderful staff, great location. Love all the Sheraton resorts in our vacation club!
Resort was great! Very clean and Covid safe. Everyone was super friendly. Pools were great.
This place is Phenomenal! Huge Villas, pool side and lakeside units with everything you could want or need! Full kitchen, two bathrooms sleeps up to 8 people total … just WOW!
Great place highly recommend for other to enjoy.
Great Family Resort! Very clean rooms and very spacious. Even in times of COVID, they are keeping everything clean, sanitized and socially distanced. Great hotel/resort!
Nice big units. Grounds are nicely manicured. Good pools.
Good place. Some mattresses need to be softer. Very spacious, good amenities. Great pools. Kid friendly. Some of the staff (not all) needs better customer service skills. Housekeeping needs to clean better. Overall would come back again.
2nd time here. Everything just perfect. The villas are spacious and clean, especially the 3rd floor villas as they have higher ceilings and a skylight too. The pools are stunning and clean and the late closure of the main one is the icing on the cake, after a full day at the park. A bit disappointing the breakfast, they were used to have omelettes made to order but not anymore. It's just better to use the full kitchen in the apartment.
Favourite place to stay in Orlando. Options of pools are great. Activities cool. The gym is good. Service friendly. Watch out for the porter lady asking for tips "we work for tips" if you ask about charges. They are friendly and helpful regardless though. Also watch out for them taking you to the other desks across the room after checking in to try and make you sit through presentations to sell timeshare!
Our family stayed here for 10 days in the Cascades building 11. Room was nice and seemed recently updated. The daily room service was outstanding and all the staff we met was very friendly and courteous. Beds were for the most part comfortable except for my oldest son's bed. The resort grounds are immaculate and gorgeous with lots of pathways and ponds to enjoy. I was very impressed with the security here. It's a gated resort with the reception area located outside the actual resort areas. Every time I stepped out of the room and walked around I saw a security patrol car driving around so we felt very safe. Now for the not so good parts… The cascades pool and fountain pools that are featured in all the picture promos you'll see are much smaller than they appear to be and can get very crowded and loud with kids. There are gyms located throughout the resort but some are quite small and you have to be there really early to get on a machine. The spa pool is by far the largest of the resort and the one we used throughout our stay but it didn't seem to be cleaned or maintained often. We constantly had to remove leaves or dead bugs from the water as the water filtering system seemed turned off. We asked for a top floor room but unfortunately we were not given one so we had to deal with furniture being dragged across a tile floor by the people above at all hours of the night. Overall it's a very nice resort and very enjoyable. We will definitely come to stay again.
Very nice resort. It had a couple of different pools you could use. There were different activities that would happen at the main pool for kids. There is a bar and eatery place there. You can play basketball for free mini golf for s fee. It's also a short drive to Disney Springs. The villa was great. We had a one bedroom that had a jacuzzi tub in it. A spacious living room, a dining table and a full kitchen with dishwasher, stove and oven, cooking utensils, and a washer and dryer. There was plenty of room for my wife and I and our 2 young boys. We had a great time.
Straight from check in to check out, top-notch service! Our room was super clean and well-stocked. Location was perfect. Will definitely stay there again! We had six people in a two-bedroom Villa and it was perfect. One king bed, two queen beds and also the pull out couch, but we didn't need it. Having two bathrooms was great. One of them had a giant tub which was perfect for bubble baths.
Nice resort, although some rooms are a bit dated with mattresses that are very underweight by the average American guy who comes to Orlando! (Which is why I didn't give the fifth star)
Large spaces for public, but late at night the parking is sometimes full.
Nice pools, well equipped, with towels available directly on site.
Definitely central location compared to the main theme parks, including EPCOT and Aquatica which are less than 15 ' by car (traffic permitting).
Do not miss a visit to the nearby outlet where you can find incredible prices also of the Italian luxury brands.
It was my first time staying here and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The property is not much to look at, but my villa was updated and impeccable. I'm used to staying in a Marriott and I'm pretty picky. Cleanliness is everything to me and it was up to my standards. I stayed in my villa most of the time and didn't venture out on the property, so I can't say much about the amenities. They do have an escape room on the premises, which I think is very cool. The location is not in the center of the excitement and I like that. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. For informational purposes, I stayed in the Springs on the second floor. There were no elevators in this particular building.
Everything was great about our experience, until the morning of our departure. We woke up to sewage everywhere. The drains in our unit had been backing up, and sewage was spewing out of the bathrooms and out into the living spaces. It smelled awful. We immediately called management, and within an hour a man arrived to fix the problem. It was apparently a clog outside the unit. The problem was that the inside of our unit was not clean. The man stated that he called housekeeping, and that someone would be by very soon to clean. He also said that he would give us a later checkout. After an hour, nobody had arrived. We called, and was told again that somebody would be by shortly. After another hour, still nobody had arrived. We called again, and was again told someone would be by shortly. We left for the pools, and when we came back an hour or so later, our key didn't work (the late check out was not in the system). After waiting for security to come and let us into the room, we discovered that one of the 2 bathrooms had been mopped, but definitely not cleaned. There was still a brown ring from the sewage in the bathtub. The second bathroom in the master bedroom had not been mopped or cleaned. The carpet was also still wet with sewage. Being that we were just leaving, we really wanted to just get cleaned up/showered before we left, but that wasn't possible.
Great facility with a number of pools which are open until 1am which is definitely a plus. Location is close to Disney Springs so no shortage of restaurants. Came here with the kids and they had a blast at the main pool which conveniently has a kids area and playground. Grills are located all around the grounds so it makes cooking easy if you're looking to have a meal back at your suite.
My family and I had a great time today at the fountains pool, we ended up doing tie-dye and met a member of the fun team, I believe the gentleman’s name was Alexander. He helped out my little sister, and was such a polite man. I’m surly recommending the resort to more people. I will be back my next visit, looking forward to seeing your awesome fun team member again.
This is only my second night here. We're here for a week so still lots to review but my initial response to this place is it's really beautiful! Full kitchen area with lots of pots, pans, plates, utensils, blender, toaster, coffee machine. Everything you may need to Cook with is here (besides the food of course) or you can visit the restaurants which we've yet to try but most certainly will. There are so many pools and activities for people to do here. We've gone to 2 of the pools here already. There's tennis, somewhere to get a massage, an activity center, a little market place with a small grocery aisle, basketball court, volleyball, a gym, bike rentals and more. Lots of restaurants near by, a walmart is close by also. Staff have been really friendly and helpful. After coming here our initial thoughts are when we come to Florida again. Sheraton Vista Resort Villas is most certainly the place we'll stay at again. Those are our initial thoughts being here 3 days and 2 nights.
Convenient location near shopping and not far from theme parks. They advertise a shuttle service, but it's $15/person. Staff is friendly. Grounds were well maintained. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this resort.
This is a huge resort close to Disney World. There are different sections and 7 pools. The accommodations vary between 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms. Some sections have 4 floors. Some have 2. There are several restaurants; a market; tennis courts; miniature golf and so on. The entire resort seems well maintained and that's for a good reason. This used to be exclusively a timeshare property. They still aggressively try to sell timeshares. Frequently offering various deals to induce you to buy. Should you happen to buy into a deal, you will be paying annual maintenance fees forever. You can now stay here without owning a timeshare. Unless you really want to buy a timeshare, that's the way to go.
I was really impressed by this place. The suites are huge and extremely clean. Very close to Disney Springs and easy to get to from the highway. There is mini golf on site as well as a spa and several pools. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
What started great was ruined by poor treatment. Room is huge and very nice and clean. Very comfortable. However, last day checkout was at 10am. At 950 they came knocking on my door. I have a newborn and asked her to please start another room and we'll be out in 15-20 minutes. She said no and stood outside my door waiting for us to leave. Never has that happened to me and I'll never stay here again.
Beautiful resort! We arrived late Sunday evening to a beautiful, spacious, clean villa! The beds are amazing! Bathroom is spacious. Free shuttle service. The grounds are clean, pools are awesome! The Market had all of your essentials for your stay. Plus Starbucks.
Nice resort, 7 pools, spacious albeit slightly dated/mildly worn rooms. All necessities are there. Housecleaning is a little bit of a work in progress. Very comfortable stay with fun for the kids. Large property close to everything, especially convienient to Disney parks. Restaurants are typical price and quality for resorts/resort hotels. I'd visit again.
Very amploas and comfortable rooms. Very well equipped and quite well maintained. The resort is very large and you have to go by car everywhere, even to the pool. If you think to use the amenities look good the location of the villa. The income is very slow try to sell you the timeshare or change the daily cleaning for a few breakfasts.
Conplejo Hotel Resort in Orlando FLORIDA where everything you have in one place, restaurants, pools, tennis courts, MARKET Place, very good experience and I recommend it.
Love coming here. So much fun, there are several pools and they are all clean and beautiful. The villas are comfortable and spacious. Very pretty. So much for kids to do here. Checking in is easy and fast. People who work here are very friendly. We just love this place.
I go to this place at least once a year. The place is spotless and clean. It has a large pool and the service is very good. People are nice.
Beautiful, sprawling, convenient. Very nice and professional staff. Tons of amenities with lots to do on premises. Easy walk to several places as well or short drive to I-drive, convention center, and ALL attractions and parks! Very nicely maintained. BBQ grills throughout.
We actually thought we had booked at the newer resort but arrived here. It is a very large resort and older than the other one. I thought this would bother me. However, in my opinion it is better! The rooms are great and the area the resort sits on is so pretty. There are seven pools scattered around the resort. Some are quaint and some are busy. The two pub areas are a lot of fun to relax and enjoy. The market is expensive but nice. They have Starbucks in the market, however, it takes a very long time and the lines are Long. This was during the Easter holiday though. All in all, great place. We will be back!
I come here every year, and every year it's amazing. I have spent the last 5 Christmas seasons here at Vistana and I wouldn't want to spend Christmas anywhere else. Everyone that works here is so friendly and nice, they have anything you need in the market. The pools are spread out but yet close enough you can walk to all of them. Tennis courts, workout rooms, basketball courts, and pools are all well maintained and clean. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to vacation. It's close to both universal and Disney and has a bunch of food options close outside. It's really just the perfect place.
It's very quiet and safe. The apartments are very well equipped. All very nice.
It was OK without more. The space of the villa was perfect, but the cleanliness left it wanting. The ventilation system was full of dust, the corners of the floors dirty and a constant smell of moisture in the villa. The site was very good on the other hand with the pools and services. I expected better.
This was one of our family’s favorite places we have gone. The resort has so much to do. Every employee here was awesome. The kids loved the pools. The restaurants on the property all had awesome food. This resort could be in the middle of nowhere and it would be an awesome get away. My kids had fun at universal, but every night wanted to go back to the condo to swim in the pools. This place was awesome, we will definitely go back. The location is perfect for vacation trips to Disney, Sea World, and Universal.
It is a complete quiet area with seven swimming pools, several gym, ten tennis courts, BBQ's all over the place to cook your food, and I pass, great.
It is mostly a great location for the Disney parks and Disney springs. The biggest issue is trying to turn left exciting the villas. Be prepared to be patient. I found the bed to be quite comfortable and bathrooms reasonably updated. Didn't stay long enough to experience the other amenities like the pools.
We're staying here for a week to go to Disney and Universal. The hotel is amazing, I almost want to spend more time here! The pools are wonderful and the beds are comfy. The staff is very nice. It takes a while to get used to the layout but it's nice. It's very close to Disney!
As always subtract complex a marvel, every couple of years renew it and leave it better as well as the maintenance of the property so large is impeccable. Quiet, relaxed and luxurious resort. Highly recommended.
It's a nice resort. But everything we book a condo we get bounced around A LOT! ROOMS AREN'T CLEAN, mold in even the newest units. Location is fabulous! There's ALWAYS something to do at the resort. Customer service is wonderful! The market place is such a fun little spot and affordable!
Nice, comfortable, some rooms without elevator, 2 or 3 floors with suitcases, find out well for people with small boys or who have difficulty climbing stairs. Very large, if you touch in places away from the pool you have to go by car. I think there are better options of price quality.
Well maintained and updated units The grounds and pools are clean and well maintained. The resort is close to all major parks and amenities, including the airport. The restaurant and supplied entertainment was excellent. Don't hesitate to book here. You will be impressed.
Very nice and clean. Very friendly, the only thing I did not like was that as soon as you check in you are offering a timeshare. The impeccable apartment!
A 3 star experience with 5 star pools (for the kids) … from cold showers, to no one bringing a crib to the room as requested, refusal to place a to go order at the grille. It wouldn't be so irritating, But they are constantly trying to sell you on buying at their property… When I mentioned some of my concerns regarding my stay, I was told, "no worries you are still to eligible for a $150 gift card… " what? I just told you I had concerns and your response is no worries and you keep going on a sales pitch. Really really bad service. Plus I said I wasn't interested in the gift card and they still called Three times to try to sell me during our short stay. The thing is, great service sells itself. To upper management, I would refocus your efforts, make it so people don't want to stay away. Hospitality 101.
Several activities and very pretty.
Excellent both the facilities and the attention. The apartments are very spacious and comfortable. Equipped with everything you need. The location is optimal if you have your own means of transport, as Disney parks are a bit far away, but it is close to the main outles cocks.
Extremely well laid out resort with ample pools and activities for the family to enjoy. Wonderful staff. Very attentive to your needs. Enjoyed our stay here very much. Very close to the Disney parks. Found a shortcut over to Disney World that made that commute a breeze. Can't say enough about the concierge service. Short walk from the unit to the pool. Activities for the entire family every day.
This place is nice. The food is adequate. The staff I've encountered are really nice. It's a little tough to navigate through. The property is huge though. I would visit again providing the price is right.
Sheraton Vistana is one of our family's favorite resorts. It is very clean & well maintained. The staff is very friendly & courteous. Pools have late hours, which we love. Great tennis & pickle ball courts. Sad that extra fees were high for playing mini golf & for checking out pickle ball paddles for an hour. We thought these amenities should have been free. This trip, we had villas in The Courts & The Falls. Some of our drains were slow in The Courts villa, but maintenance came quickly when we called them. Dishwashers in both units needed updating, because they didn't clean well, & we ended up doing the dishes by hand. Also, some of our electrical outlets were loose. Unlike other resorts, there are no required cleanup activities for checkout & this is GREAT! We also liked the express checkout — very smooth! Resort is close to all of the Disney parks & lots of other entertainment venues. We will be back in the future!
Huge complex/ resort with several pools and activities. Family enjoyed putt putt golf for a fee. Condo was roomy with a comfortable kitchen and living room. We did get our exercise going up and down the stairs to our third floor condo (definitely would not recommend for someone with medical issues). Loved the kids pool and park separate from main pool area.
Overall a wonderful experience! We were a little concerned about some of the comments regarding the time share push. However, we politely declined and were only left about two phone messages during the week to stop down and discuss which we did not and no one bothered us. Our flight down to Orlando got cancelled and we got in two days late. The hotel was very accommodating and worked with us to get Villas close together and even upgraded one of our rooms so it could be close to the others which was very nice. All of this despite the fact that our schedule had to be rearranged. Special thanks to Elijah at the front desk! The facility is great. We stayed in the Falls area which was quiet and close to three pools, the tennis courts, shuffleboard and mini golf. It was also close to Zimmie's which was a great place to hang out and have a few drinks and appetizers in the afternoon. The rooms were very spacious and very well laid out. The cleaning staff was very pleasant and did a great job every day cleaning up and refreshing towels. This was actually a surprise to us as we were expecting the cleaning staff to stop by only once or twice during the week. We also tried the Escape Room which was a ton of fun and the two guys that were managing the area were great to work with. The location of the hotel was also excellent. Only 10-15 minutes max to the Disney parks and very convenient to get on and off the highway. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
A perfect hotel. We have been a few days, but the treatment and experience has been good, plus proximity by car to the different parks. The rooms are with antique décor, but with their kitchen and kitchenware. Very large and comfortable bed. Clean.
Very nice, clean. The kitchen equipped with the necessary. Everything you need to rest and have fun. I've had an excellent week. Would.
Excellent Resort, several services within walking distance!
Great place to rest. Very clean.
I've been staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort for over a decade now. It's just minutes away from the airport, Disney, Universal, downtown Orlando, and a handful of golf courses. The rooms here are outstanding. They're like really nice 1 or 2 bedroom apartments with full kitchens, bathrooms, washing machines and dryers, and living rooms. The TVs and appliances are all modern. There are multiple pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, and restaurants on the premises as well. This place is perfect for a family to Orlando.
The attention is lousy they worry more about selling holiday than on the customer, breakfast is of low quality in service and food the room is very comfortable and clean.
Love Vistana Resort! Stayed 2 nights with my father and my daughter while we did a few days at Disney. We had a two-bedroom unit which was a ton of space. Kitchen, washer and dryer, balcony, and plenty of sleeping space. Really great for a family or anyone traveling with kids. The resort is huge, and there are various phases you can be assigned to. Everything looked to be in great shape. The staff during check in at night was a bit rough, seemingly upset about something. But everyone else was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!
We were just there for five nights. The room was nice, beds were comfortable, and it was clean. However, we had two major complaints. 1) We asked for a crib. First, they told us they could not reserve a crib for us until we physically arrived at the hotel. OK, weird, but fine. Our flight was delayed and we landed in Orlando with two small children around midnight. We called at about 1:30am to say we were on our way and had a sleeping toddler. We begged them to put the crib in our room. They said no, that they could not do it until we arrived. We called them on our way. Still nothing. They did say that by the time we were done checking in, the crib would be in our room. So we arrive, check in, and they say, you will have to wait for 10 minutes for the crib. Not ideal (and definitely not done by the end of check in) but we could do it. We checked in at 1:46am… the crib didn't arrive until 2:30am. That's right, a full 45 minutes. With two sleeping children. And no where to put one of them. Really unacceptable customer service. 2) On our second night there, they never cleaned our room. Just never showed. By the time we were headed out for the evening we called the front desk and asked them for fresh towels while we were out. They literally just plopped a bunch of towels on the kitchen counter and left. Didn't take the used towels. Didn't take the pool towels. In fact, they NEVER took the pool towels.
Can't say enough great things about this location. The staff is always so nice and helpful and they go out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need. TONS of activities for all ages and rooms are very clean and spacious. They're also constantly improving and every time we come back we notice major changes and renovations. Top notch resort close to it all.
Very spacious villas, with a variety of amenities to offer. Hosting well stocked and reasonably priced market, a plethora of pools and hot tubs, and a wide range of events on the resort. Staff was friendly and attentive for the most part. Easy access and parking at each villa with key card gated areas for security. Finally, a short drive to the Disney or Universal parks. Will definitely visit again.
Spacious 2 bedroom Villas 2 bathrooms. They have basketball courts, tennis, pools, etc is located very close to the park area, and have ticket sales and transportation in 3 hours. Also very close to premium outlets. I take away a star for the insistence of the staff at the entrance to go to the talk of timeshare.
The location is great. You can quickly get to all Orlando theme parks and outlet shopping malls. The room was great. We were provided an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite. Clean and nice furniture and electronics. Many places to eat on site. The only negative is that any delivery you order from outside restaurants cannot deliver to the room you must meet at the welcome center a short walk away.
This old man has no good attention!
Great places, family, or friends.
A clean apartment, with all the necessary elements a mini-market, and close to all restaurants…
This resort although dated was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and there was a very comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend anyone that is willing to spend the extra money should stay there. They would get their money's worth.
Excellent hotel and facilities.
Highly recommended for the whole family. Especially for those who visit the parks, because of their proximity and connectivity.
Swimming pools and common facilities in very good condition.
We had been waiting a long time to get into this resort and it didn't disappoint. We had a wonderful time. The escape room was super fun with my wife and my tweenage daughters. The rooms are huge well decorated and very clean. The screened in porch was nice for morning coffee. The on-site stores and eateries were real nice and moderately priced.
Fantastic resort. The villas are are excellent for the price. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen or kitchenette are well done to accommodate guests. A family of 4 would be comfortable, up to a family of 5 with individual beds (one on a pullout couch). All in all, a wonderful location with pleasant views and terrific staff.
The room they gave us was full of dust. My kids asthma started flaring up 20 minutes after getting into our room. I complained and they sent the housekeeping manager to my room who confirmed it was not livable. They're saving grace is that they upgraded me from the fountains to the lakes. The lakes which seem to be a more premium area were much better. Staff were all helpful and understanding and didn't try to argue.
Love this resort come every year. 7 pools friendly people beautiful place. LA la stopped by every day on her walk around the resort and made us feel comfortable… like family! She is such a great lady thank you La la for your advice about the airport and how to get there and taking the time to get us direction on the different routes. We will be back!
Keep in mind that this is a timeshare resort and there is no avoiding the pushy sales-pitch. After checking in we were walked directly over to a concierge who told us we have to sign up for the 90 minute presentation that day or else we will forfeit all of the prize offers ($100 theme park pass and a frozen or star-wars lifesaver). Also, we were told there are 'free' pictures that we can sign up for at any time during our stay and we were given the contact information. We received a voicemail about the 'free' pictures and the following evening we received a phone call about attending the presentation the next morning (which we were told we had to sign-up for the same day same day we checked-in). We said we were going to the theme parks and don't have time and continued to get hounded about the parks not opening until 9 and the presentation is at 8. We also got asked if we had already purchased theme park tickets because we can go to the presentation and get $100 gift card to use to buy the tickets). We are annoyed that they won't take no for an answer and that we continue to get bothered even in our room. Also, there was a brown, blood looking stain on the comforter. I made the bed and left the part of the comforter pulled back to reveal the stain (it was obvious) and housekeeping ended up making the bed and covering the stain with the top sheet, so gross!
We stayed with family who owns a time share. Beautiful place! Clean pool, delicious food, and friendly staff. We slept on a pull out couch and it was surprisingly comfortable! We had a great night's sleep! In the afternoon, a guest speaker from Gatorland was in one of the many pool areas and educated us on various reptiles, arachnids, and more! We stayed poolside last night and listened to guests sing karaoke, it was entertaining! I would never personally purchase a time share, but enjoyed my stay with family. I look forward to returning next year.
We've been owners for 4 years and usually get the 2 bedroom suit for the 2 of us plus 2 kids. We call it our second home with a full kitchen, 3 tv's, Big spacious living area and a nice balcony closed off with bug screen. Beds are comfortable and we have our own A/c that we control. Always clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Can't ask for more…
Perfect hotel for family and groups.
Close of all outlets stores. Close from Disney and Universal Studio. Rather pleasant life frame with short rainy moments during the winter. I would advise this hotel for families as several swimming pools for children. Many sports halls, tennis courts, games rooms. Only downsides, the supermarket is rather expensive and the place is crowded according to the seasons. Good appreciation at the level of the reception and the service. The hotel is huge on several acres filled with lake, and mini golf. I strongly advise, the prices are worth it.
Manon.
Very clean, excellent service, lots of activities.
Love this resort! Pools and hot tubs are great. Great location. Rooms are awesome. Thank you!
AMAZING Great family spot. Pools galore Our condo was top notch, lots of room, clean comfortable. Check-in was easy (busy) and didn't push to hard with the timeshare sales pitch. All staff we interacted with were amazing, friendly, helpful.
I've had a time share at Vistana Resort for 30 years! I've seen many changes over the years. It's my favorite place to be! It's clean, the pools are well maintained, the condos are beautiful, the restaurants have good food, and if anything goes wrong maintenance gets there quickly. Can't think of 1 complaint.
This was a very poor experience. The pools were dirty and their was chunks of hair floating everywhere in the kids pool. Any signs of clouds and they closed all the pools. The bar closes at 6 which is unacceptable. We didn't get housekeeping 2 times out of 5 days. The crowd was pretty awful. The tour is a trap to get you to buy timeshare and they actually said that the Orlando resort is not the nicest resort but promised the other Sheraton villas were better if we spent $13000 over 10 years. What a joke.
We have been coming here for five years, and we are always impressed with this SPG Resort proper. The amenities are nice, it has a pleasant outdoors environment, the rooms are always top notch, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We come each year for the Annual Orlando Gay Days event, and this is placed perfectly to allow fast and easy access to those events without smothering us in Disney go-getters.
We stayed in January with my family, it was a great experience. The apartments are very well equipped, the atendion is very good and the environment is excellent. I recommend it with no doubt!
Have stayed 2x now and would do it again. Always clean, friendly, enjoy the spacious accommodations. Have never taken advantage of the extra amenities; gym, pool, etc. I believe the shuttle only goes in the mornings and night and you must reserve in advance. They are pretty aggressive about trying to get you to go to the timeshare meetings, I am bothered by it only because they call early morning and I'm on vacation sleeping in and then 3-5x per day.
One of the worst hotels I stayed on. All the people who buy into this time share made a mistake. We booked our trip through costco. Got a 2 bedroom villa for around $600 for 9 nights. We asked a timeshare couple and they said they pay $900 for the same room per week. When we checked into our hotel me and my father in law were greeted with a "gift". We were given $100 towards food on site. They then told us that we would have to attend a 1 hour meet and greet (which we already knew they were gonna try to sell a timeshare to us). They made us register a time on any day we wanted to attend. On the day of meeting, they called my room and told me to bring my ID, credit card and spouse. I said my spouse was not coming nor was I bringing my credit card. They said I didn't have to bring credit card but spouse was required. They never told me at the beginning that spouse would be require and that only me and father in law would have to show. So I told them they could have their $30 back be cuz I spent $70 already. They argued with me and tried to charge me the $70. So I cancelled my credit card. The front desk manager then proceeded with telling me that they would have never said just me and father in law could go… and he took the employees side. 7 days later someone higher up called and apologized. Didn't charge me the $70 and also refunded my roll away bed. The one star is for the customer service.
We were first put in the Lakes 8 building and it was facing a swamp, and was not ready for the time that the front desk said it would be. They were very accomodating and moved us to the Lakes 2 building which was much better. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite in the, and it was superb. The villa itself was very well maintained. The grounds were also in great shape. The pools were warmed and open late. The gyms had sufficient equipment to get a good workout in. We had a great stay in Orlando.
Very nice two bedroom condos. Full kitchen, large master bedroom and bath with walk in shower and separate whirlpool tub, large second bedroom with two queen beds. Large flat screen TV in living room with adjacent screen porch and flat screen tv's in bedrooms. Very clean, beautiful landscaping, great pools and close to all attractions.
We stayed at the resort as part of a Costco Disney vacation package. We were looking forward to our stay based on the great reviews, but our experience was far from pleasant. We will never return to the Sheraton Vistana Resort! We stayed in villa 1333. The actual room was incredibly large & spacious and the furnishings were nice. That is where the good experience ended for us. Our biggest complaint was cleanliness and the housekeeping staff. When we arrived, our room was not clean. The hall bath had urine stains all over the toilet, as if had not been cleaned for a week. The headboard in the master was so dusty that dust was flying off as we adjusted our sheets. We found safety pins and other items in the carpet as if it hadn't even been swept. I called and left a voicemail on the manager line and they did call and apologize and come and service our room the next day, but we had eaten dinner on the dining table the night before and there were still crumbs on the table when we returned back the next evening, so they clearly had not even wiped the table down, even after we had complained about the cleanliness upon arrival. During our week long stay, the housekeeping service we received was inconsistent and never the same. Towels were not put in the same spots. Some days we received disposable cups in both bathrooms, some days we did not. The trash cans were never put back in their proper spots, but were left sitting out in the room.
Welcome to condominiums, with areas for fun and do sports, excellent location and maintenance.
We are owners at Vistana & have stayed there nearly every yr for 20 yrs. However, this yr was terrible. We spent the last 2 weekends there, the 1st as guests of a friend & this past weekend, we used our own time. Due to my waiting too long to book this year, we were only able to get 2 nights instead of a full week but that is my fault for not booking earlier. So 2 wks ago, we arrived on Friday afternoon to find the lobby renovated. I was sad to see they'd done away with the lovely, huge Christmas tree that used to grace the lobby. I'd arranged for Diamond Lane check-in but our rooms weren't ready. They told us to come back at 2 pm so we went to lunch. At 2:30 we were told 1 room was ready & were given keys which didn't work. I called the front desk & we waited a while for a man who let us in. We explained we actually had two rooms & he went back for keys for the 2nd room which was nice of him. Upon entering the 1st room, we were immediately hit with a terrible smell. There was a large stain on a couch cushion. The toe kick of 1 of the kitchen cabinets was bashed in revealing broken floor tiles. I called housekeeping who later arrived with air freshener and tried to clean the couch cushion to no avail. She swapped it with another room. The kitchen cabinets were grease covered especially around the door handles. We showed her the broken toe kick, tiles & a large black scratch on a bathroom door. The disrepair of the unit was quite evident.
I have time share here and just love it. 10 years in and still very happy with my purchase. I have traded off several times for other resorts, but always love coming back to Vistana. The property is beautifully maintained, and the amenities are superb. This is not a discount joint, so expect to pay a few bucks for some luxury. You will love the resort, and the proximity to everything.
The rooms are very very nice. The staff are mostly cordial and helpful. The resort layout is kinda weird it's easy to get lost or turned around at night.
We have visited 3 times and we like it very much, it is not luxury but it is necessary to have an amazing vacation at a great price. Large, tv's, kitchen dining room, good service. I recommend!
We stayed for 7 nights as guests of the package owners. We originally reserved a one-bedroom villa but were upgraded to a 2 bedroom for no charge. The resort was very well kept, very clean and well-groomed. There are many food and entertainment options in the property including mini golf, restaurants and stores but since it was a Disney vacation we didn't partake in those options. The rooms were in good condition when we arrived, and after the midweek cleaning it was in a similar condition.
Rooms are beautiful and grounds are extremely well maintained. Would be a 5-star but had to take off for the price gouging, and time share selling. Ive had TS in Mexico and know ECI is a total racket. Time shares have zero resale value and are run by slimy types that raise your fees every year. ********IT IS CHEAPER IF YOU JUST RENT THE VILLA! Perfect example: the have a program where you give up your housekeeping service for a "free" buffet breakfast only catch is you only get the buffet and have to pay for all beverages: coffee tea, soda, juice etc. The Buffett is pretty weak as far as that goes. AND you only get two vouchers. Every where you turn these guys try to gouge you; gift shop, convince store, fees and Mickey Mouse fines. I work in NYC and these prices are way above that. Very weak cell signal so you make long di$tance calls. BEWARE: Main racket here is the time shares via "consiere" desks that try to lure you in. Stay away from the consiere desk like I did. They still called room 2X day, insulting my intelligence by telling me they have my Costco welcome package. I told them I'm out door and please don't call back I'm good. They persist. You have been warned. Hope this helps. Would I recommend to stay? YES. BUT don't go anywhere near the time share salespeople. I know they are trying to make a living but not at the expense of creating me and my family a financial headache.
DO NOT patronize this resort. They are professional extortionists. It was great before Sheraton took it over. Absolutely do not get roped into buying timeshare from these scumbags. The maintenance fees tripled over ten years and then they "refurbished" all the units and charged the owners each another 900.00 per unit times 52 weeks per year. So they claim to have spent over $46000.00 on each unit! What the hell are all those maintenance fees supposed to be for? Then they made it cheaper to rent than to own so all the people who are owners got stuck with their unit weeks and got royally SCREWED! If you stay at this place you are supporting dishonest thieves. I hope terrorists nuke this place every night before I go to sleep. A$$holes!
Excellent resort, very clean units, all amenities are available inside the villas/appartments like clothes washing machine, dishes washing machine, ice machine, microwave, oven, and full kitchen tools. In addition to that a daily house keeping service is available. Very safe and quite place. The location is 10 mins to Disney, bunch of dining-in resturants are just around the corner, in addition to Starbucks and Walgreen market. I and my family enjoyed this place.
We loved this resort! We have stayed at other time shares in the same area and this exceeds all of them by far. Super clean, attentive staff. We were not bothered with continuous sales efforts. We hope to come and stay here again and again.
The representatives at check in are very unprofessional. I booked a villa for sunday through friday but I arrive and get told I will have to pack up thursday night and move to another villa friday because they had not linked the reservations like the representative told me on the phone several times. This is a very big inconvenience and I will not be back to that resort. Overall the room and patio were extremely presentable, I was impressed. I would say my overall experience being at the resort is 3 stars. I would recommend talking to a manager at the resort to book your room because the incompetent help they have will not do their job correctly. I wouldnt reccomend this hotel to my worst enemy.
Reading the reviews is funny. The adage is true, you are expecting something for nothing? When you agree to do the presentation you are agreeing to the terms. It is a simple contract, they agree to try to sell you something, and in exchange you agree to pay a reduced rate. Okay, now the review of the place, which this is the forum for. Trem3ndous location, trem3ndous amenities, close to 3verything, and VERY spacious units. We stay here about every 3 years, and over time this resort has only gotten better. Yes, I own timeshares, I use them often, stay at some of the best accommodations, in great high demand areas, in 3 bedroom units, with full kitchens with granite and stainless steel, almost as nice as my home, but being taken care of when I'm spending my vacation dollars is luxury to the max. If you don't timeshare, you are paying too much for your hotel room.
Could not ask for anything more. Nice pools, nice people, clean and quiet. Good value. Wish you could get Disney bonus hours but other than that better than staying on Disney property. Stayed in cascade section.
We've been staying here since 2006 and have loved it every single time. Their room rates have been reduced and the rooms have been upgraded. It is an amazing place. Our villa had stainless steel appliances, and beautiful ceramic tiles. The fully functional washer and dryer in the villa was perfect for packing and bringing home CLEAN clothes and was especially useful for our swimsuits. The bathrooms were breathtaking with clear shower doors and a huge jacuzzi tub in the master suite. The balcony was screened to ensure a completely bug free time while sitting outdoors. The rooms are clean, the grounds are meticulously kept and its a gated community so the only traffic that comes through is that of the residents. Activities are endless for kids of all ages from an arcade to bikes to any one of their SEVEN pools. The pool areas are clean and the pool chairs are plentiful. We checked in on a Thurs evening and didn't have any problems at all with a crowd. We got one phone call from the marketing team asking us if we wanted to come a timeshare presentation to get a reduction in our room rate and some free/reduced Disney park tickets. We politely declined and never heard from them again — which was wonderful. There is an onsite photographer that we take advantage of who was great. We literally walked in and asked if she had time to take our family photo and 20 minutes later, our photo was taken, we had chosen the ones we loved and we were on our way to Hollywood Studios.
What a scam. Toilet. Shit hole. Dump. Joke. Wi-fi suuuuucks. Internet is worse because the area is populated with 10000000 morons. Deliberately slow so you can not research the local cesspool area, thus making you stay on property to get a drink or an overpriced meal. Local monkeys staying upstairs… kids bouncing on the floor at midnight, no quiet time enforcement. Pool towels non existent when they "shut down for an employee party" during the middle of the day in the summer. To that, they close the bar and grill during the same time? Who wants to drag all the shit and kids to the pool for no lunch or towels. Like so many things around Disney… another money grabbing cheap overpriced operation. Yes, Im a sucker. Dont be one also. Never again. F. K Florida, its people, traffic, expense and weather. Moron guard shack calls room at 12 midnight and wakes everybody up because the ONE room key we were issued is with my wife… even though I told the ignorant boogie the room number, name and who was on the guest list. Hopefully Fla breaks off into the Atlantic and we can cut a star off the flag.
Excellent everything. Place. Quality. Location. Comfort. All incredible.
Hotel cleanliness was decent at best. Huge resort with only one restaurant that was under staffed. Friday and Saturday evening only had one person working the bar so even people like myself wanting non alcoholic beverages had to wait forever. Breakfast was pretty good and the service in AM was good. Again under staffed and a longer wait. The reason for one star is we prepaid for tickets to Sea World to avoid lines and it completely backfired. We got there not knowing (because they never told us) that we did not get actual tickets but rather vouchers for tickets so after going through bag check and we had a stroller with infant we get to main gate and they tell us we need to return to end of the line to redeem voucher. Turns out voucher line only has two windows where the people just arriving and paying had 20 windows. So they only had a 5-10 minute wait under canopy shade and we waited with infant for additional 45 minutes under direct sun with no shade to redeem our voucher. So instead of avoiding the long line it prolonged it over an hour total and ruined the experience. Besides them not telling us how the voucher works it wasn't Sheraton's fault. However when I called in to tell them what happened they were extremely rude and offered zero compensation or an apology I would never go back and I hope to avoid other people having the same thing happen to them as happened to us and I guess this is the only way to accomplish that.
Quite possibly the finest resort I have ever stayed at. This place is incredible. Some of the reviews I see here must be anomalies. We stayed in the Fountains in 2006 and 2009 we stayed in the Falls. The villas are well appointed with LG flat screens in every room. They have washing machines and dryers. The kitchen is excellent with granite countertops and beautiful Whirlpool appliances. The air conditioning is great. Ceramic everywhere in both washrooms. There are ceiling fans in every room. When we called for extra towels and pillows they were delivered within an hour. We have 7 people including 3 teenagers and they love the pools. The onsite food is pricey but that's the price you pay for convenience. You must have a car if you plan on leaving the resort, transit will not cut it. We shopped at Winn-Dixie for groceries which is about 5 minutes from the resort. Stay away from Wal-Mart if you hate lines and chaos. What a zoo! The only thing we didn't like is the small single beds in the second bedroom. This is an awesome resort. I would stay here anytime I come to Orlando.
The Good = Clean rooms, excellent resort and amenities. Wi-Fi ok! Centrally located to Universal/Disney etc. Would have no problem recommending this place to anyone. But. The Bad = There is the typical timeshare "sell" 90 minute seminar but they give you $100 cash for going ***The UGLY! *** = although the timeshare offer seemed good for a family that travels a lot and has some cash, it did not suit ours given the fact that we always of south for 1-2 weeks in January when prices are cheap and availability is plenty. So they offered us a travel deal for $1900 which they wrote on paper then transferred to a CONTRACT consisting of 40000 SPG gold points up front and an addition 30000+10000 Points after payment. The value of this package would have give a person the ability to travel during the expensive months for the price of a quit month. Non-the less they said the person had no authorization to give this to us yet the rep said she was one of the "higher ups" allowed to offer this and even checked for approvals in another office. THEY REFUSED TO HONOUR THEIR CONTRACT We are getting a full refund and will travel elsewhere as there are 50 other resorts that are just as nice.
We were offered a gift card to attend a 90 minute presentation at this resort. It was explained to us that it was a light breakfast and a presentation to tour the property in hopes that we would book them on our next Orlando vacation. Long story short, it took longer than 90 minutes. We repeatedly explained that we were misinformed about the presentation and that we had NO interest in a timeshare. We fulfilled our obligation, and we were under severe time restrictions. They continued to try to sell us a timeshare. After being there almost two and a half hours, we were becoming quite upset that we needed to leave, had been told by more than one person that they would sign us out, but then they didn't. Then it was suggested to us, that we call our current resort and ask for a late check out. (so they could continue to pressure us to buy a timeshare that we obviously didn't want. ) Seriously!? Just based on this experience alone, we will never consider Sheriton for a hotel, resort, or timeshare in the future.
Awesome Stay. My son loved it. He did jot want to leave the hotel.
Excellent resort very clean and friendly staff Lots to do right in the resort This is my home away from home I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Have owned here for many years. Still in love with this location. Perfect location to enjoy many local attractions.
Couldn't love it more! Great living area, close to everything. Can't wait to come back, thank you Vistana for an outstanding vacation.
It is comfortable and centrally located close to the parks.
This place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, except the Wi-Fi is HORRIBLE. The Wi-Fi is so terrible in fact, that it almost ruined our trip. First, it's a very weak signal. We had to buy a repeater just to get it to work in the entire room. Second, they make each and every device re-authorize every 4 hours, which is quite annoying, because you have to enter your room number and your last name on each and every device every 4 hours, and my kids have phones and tablets and laptops and so do I. I found I was revisiting the authorization page quite literally more than anything else, and watching youtube videos or browsing or playing a game was CONSTANTLY interrupted throughout our trip! My kids TRIED to play minecraft, but they got booted so often they just gave up. Third, they only "allow" 10 devices per room. I have 9 devices in my family, so I thought I would be OK, but nope! Most devices get counted twice or three times for some reason, and I found just using 3 or 4 devices at a time would bring up a new browser window in the middle of everything saying I've "exceeded my limit" and to stop violating their policy or I'll get in trouble. We had to limit ourselves to 3 devices or everyone would inevitably and constantly get booted every few minutes. Forth, the speed was almost unbearable, we would get 15/20kbps for most of our stay even when only a single device was in use. Want to hook up your tablet to the TV to watch Netflix?
Excellent hotel, the attention, the spectacular place.
Based on other reviews I read after making my non-refundable payment, I was more than a little nervous that my experience would be poor and that my two night stay would be riddled with high pressure sales and lackluster customer service. However, I found it to be quite the opposite. I was only pitched one offer of a sales "tour" at check-in and nothing was mentioned after that. I declined the tour but my guess is, if you're not firm, you might think you're under a lot of pressure to buy. The staff was accommodating and no one was less than helpful. I stayed in a room close to the main office and it was well kept. No sign of damage nor any sign of anyone having even stayed there before me. The pictures depict accurate representations of what I saw. I would say the biggest downfalls are the size of the complex which would be easy to get lost in and the sheets. They are a step above the allergy sheets people would put under their regular sheets. They may have just as well been made of plastic. The only other con, which may not apply to everyone, is the shuttle that runs to the parks doesn't run to Magic Kingdom, which admittedly, may be on their website but I didn't see it before hand and was a big let down.
The Resort, which is normal, is not luxury but for families who want to visit the parks is very good, with free transportation.
Pools/pools or pools contain much chlorine to my taste. The prices of the small store they have within the resort, are high.
I recommend to Nilda, the girl who gives zumba aquatic pool centered, put much battery!
The gym very small and with few devices. The clock was not working. These are details but everything should be in order and working.
Very good security. Recommended.
Excellent location and facilities. Easy access. Very good service and attention. I highly recommend it.
For went to Disney World I Consseille you.
Nice place, shared while you try to sell is very striking but the breakfast offered is bad. The rest of the resort very well. The Disney attractions are very close. The really recommend it.
