This place was nasty. It reaked of Pot as soon as you pull in. It looked nice on the computer that is why I booked there. I asked to see the room before I even took the keys as I was hesitant. The light colored blankets had visible stains on them. Water pressure sucked. needless to say I took my business elsewhere and im still unable to reach the manager to get my money back for the cancellation.

I give 5 stars for the over all experience. The staff there goes above and beyond to make the guests feel comfortable. The property is always clean, you can't even find a cigarette on the floor. The rooms are clean and updated. Many of the rooms come with a mini kitchen (stove and oven, mini fridge, sink and microwave and everything is clean). Hotel is right on the beach, I mean your getting a good price room plus on the beach with a pool is an amazing deal from beach side Daytona Beach. Also convenient to two gas stations, a grocery store and less than 15 min drive from the boardwalk. My family and I took an extended vacation at Sunrise inn and I recommend it to my friends that plan on visiting.

Great place the view is amazing! The new owners are very nice and understanding! They even have free breakfast and Wi-Fi which is great I definitely reccomend this place and will be staying here again in the future.

The staff are so kind and go above and beyond to meet your needs and to make your stay comfortable! They are under new owners and are doing great with the remodeling process as well! Love the views and how close the hotel is to everything rooms are cozy and stay cool, a. C works great as well as fridge, TV everything worked! Beds were very clean and neat along with there pool area! Definitely recommend this place!

I highly recommend this sweet little place. The staff went out of there way to please us. There dryer broke and they dried our clothes for us. The new owners have been remodelling and wow they have done an excellent job. They threw out the carpet and installed new tile.
The rooms were spotless. I know buying a run down place isn't easy. Two thumbs up on there effort to turn this place around. The view off the ocean is amazing. We definitely will be back. Thanx again for making sure our stay was perfwct.

Warning! Warning! This place is terrible! Roaches all over! We rented two rooms and had no towels; after an hour that we received the towels, they were dirty and filled with HAIR! In one of the rooms the smoke detector was missing! AC unit looked very hazardous with electrical wires exposed! This place wouldn’t pass an inspection! And hospitality service is very poor! I don’t recommend this place at ALL! Won’t be staying here in the future at all.

This alone, the view, is worth more than you pay for. Our stay was awesome. Clean room, bed sheets new and comfortable. Staff excellent and helpful. This will be our go too place for RIR.

Zero stars for me and my family! It was disgusting and the office staff was not helpful at all. They provided 1 washcloth and 2 bath towels for a family of 4. We were told they would bring them when they come out of the dryer… never happened! When the cock roaches started crawling out onto our belongings is when we decided to leave! The manger, Sam, was not nice at all and charged us for 2 nights even though we only stayed 1. Money is the only thing this motel is concerned with! Do not stay here!

The hotel was a dump. The check in office didn't have any lights in it. The room they gave us wasn't clean. The bed was a mess and there was a dirty towel sitting on the table. The room stunk like stale cigarettes. We went back to the desk and told the desk clerk of the above. She then stated so you don't want the room. She offered a second room that was just as bad. The bathrooms were horrendous old and unclean. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures online. We ended up staying at the hoiday inn down the road for better rates and an awesome room. Would never recomend anyone stay at the sunrise inn. Crystal.

The first night we had roaches in the room, and someones weightloss patch was still on the shower wall. We checked in after work and had to wait for them to "clean" the room. Dirty sheets and towels after the "clean". The wall was falling apart in the bathroom. We said something and they gave us a different room for the second night. Roaches were even worse and still dirty sheets and towels. The gentleman we dealt with at the desk was nice but management and housekeeping needs some training. The health department seriously needs to visit this location.

Nasty place this has become! It was such a sweet little spot when it was a rodeway. I would advise the owner to get rid of the current staff and hire an experienced team. Someone who takes pride in their work. Also would advise the owner to start updating the rooms. Idk what they have done but it's a complete shit hole compared to when it was a rodeway. Disgusting! Only word for it.

The hotel was in Need of a few repairs. But for the view and the price it was probably third on the list for best values in Daytona. The staff was courteous and helpful and made the experience that much more enjoyable.

We had an amazing stay! There were 12 of us in 3 different rooms and we stayed for 4 nights. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. For the cheap price, it was more than we expected. The pool was nice and clean, the Ocean facing tables and chairs were wonderful to just sit at night and play cards with friends. There were pans and dishes provided for our use. Every morning there was fresh coffee, juices, bagels and cereal out in the lobby. Having the coin laundry there was very helpful too! I strongly recommend that if you are traveling with a large group and on a tight budget, this is a great place to go. We had a very pleasant and fun stay here.

Pesimoooo, terrible, work incompetent people q are not professional, my family and I were there two days ago and seeing such bad conditions of the hotel, I tried to cancel through Expedia application for which rent the hotel, and can believe those people Q Doesn't answer the phone to anyone.

I recently tried to stay at this hotel but when I checked in they gave me the keys to a room that already had guests luggage in it! When I went back to the front desk they said they overbooked the hotel and they had no place for me to stay. They then said I wouldn't be charged, but then lo and behold, I was! Just 5 days later I saw a charge on my credit card for the hotel even though it was their fault the hotel was overbooked. I contacted them and they said they never charged me — but they did! I had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge. They are completely unorganized and have no respect for guests. Luckily I was able to find another room at a different hotel, but if I couldn't have — Imagine traveling thousands of miles just to find out they overbooked your hotel?!? And then have the audacity to charge my credit card!

I love it here the beach is so close the room is perfect the beds are soft (laying on the bed right now writing this) the grentleman stefano (think thats how you spell his name) is amazing he helped my family so much he is wounderful. Im going to miss this hotel so much when I leave in the morning but for now im going to soak up this veiw from my room. Perfect little motel so quite and clean.

My son and I stayed here two nights. DON’T stay here. There were bugs everywhere. There was a roach. There was no housekeeping offered in the days we were there. The police had to be called because of disturbance in the room next to ours. We checked out after two days and got a refund for the remaining days of our stay.

What a terrible experience. If you have a good looking female in your party, don't go. The short chubby hispanic guy that runs the place made sexual advances to my wife behind my back numerous times. She felt so uncomfortable, we left immediately.

Very rude, very hateful staff members… Roaches coming out of the microwave after using it… Both rooms I stayed in had broken smoke detectors that had been taken apart… I liked the rooms & it's a good price for beach-front but that's about it.

Nothing fancy, but a great old Florida feel. Great people too!

Crack heads knocking on the door for hookers every 5 minutes. Nasty lady up front who barely speaks English. Told me I can't check out till she talks to her manager? Plus it's dirty.

Beautiful sunrise and clean, uncomfortable bed, no hot water in king suite. Got looked out of room at 7am due to leaving and getting coffee… couldn't connect to Wi-Fi. Called and tenant replied she was connected on her phone watching movie… I was told to unplug modem… still didn't work. Morning of check when I explained there was no water and no Wi-Fi and no free breakfast she didn't even say I am sorry and offer to give discount… she said the guy next door has Wi-Fi. Ugh… parking is horrendous and VERY TIGHT also…

This is your typical small hotel on the beach in Daytona. It is clean and the a/c worked well. The pool is nice and the access to the beach is real convenient.

The whole room reaked like pee so bad it was hard to breath when we walked in. We fabreezed the entire room and could still smell it. One bed was worse than the other and it made it hard to sleep in waking up to a pee smell. The beds were way to small for two people and luckily I ordered a room with two beds. My fiance and I had to have our own beds. The were junior size matresses I swear, and they were hard as board. The one time I sat at the edge of the bed with my fiance, the entire bed flipped up and we almost fell on the floor. It scared us. It also reaked like pee by the pool so bad I wasn't sure where it was coming from though. The giant puddle next to the pool or maybe the tall grass on the beach right by it. We didn't touch the pool. It looked and smelled so dirty. The people working were really nice. You can tell they work hard. They need more employees or something.

Checkin was easy. Room was small, you can tell the bed frames are new. Beds are stiff, sheets are not soft. Our door had to be yanked and pushed just to open and close. Parking was very tight. Our friends got the room at the end, Room 111. Their room was bigger, with a kitchen and just more space. Not staying here again. Trying to leave right now on a Sunday and no one is in the office to checkout. So I guess we will wait.

Just checked out of Sunrise Inn today. Stayed 6 nights 7 days and I will say I was extremely standoffish after reading a lot of reviews. First pulling in you can tell it's no Hilton, but check-in went smoothly the lady at the office was extremely nice. I read all the reviews about saying how the carpet was nasty, but luckily we lucked into a room where we had tile and it was VERY SPACIOUS. The beds are on the firmer side so if that's an issue bring some sort of padding. Our AC was so cold so that was great. Towels do need updated and a little more cleaning could've been done, but it was no biggie we wiped and swept down ourselves. Saw a review saying locks or something didn't work — ours worked fine as well as ALL of our appliances. I truly think we lucked into the room we got. Also they do have coffee in the mornings in the office. Shower was fine by me — good pressure and temperature. They don't allow smoking in the rooms so we had no issues with our room smelling like smoke or mold. Also the pool was really nice! GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR THE PRICE. I would stay here again, but I truly think we just lucked into the room we got. Because trust me after reading reviews I had a backup plan of staying somewhere else because I thought it would be nasty. So I hope this helps whoever is trying to make up their mind. The ocean view is unforgettable! Also parking wasn't an issue AT ALL.

Clean; pretty comfortable beds; beach access and pool. Rooms very small. The only people allowed to use the deck are the ones who have rented the beach-view rooms. Of which there are only 3. Towels need upgrade.

Great location right on the beach with nice beach accessibility! Fast and simple check-in. It's a great price for the location, but it's a basic hotel other than that. We did not get in the pool, but it looked very nice.

It was fine — just fine. There was a sizeable crack between the top of the door and outside which was irritating.

We stayed here one night this july 4 weekend the price was good and we enjoyed our stay very helpful staff cozy room with stove mini fridge microwave and even had a coffee. Maker in cabinet and ice coldbreakfasti love and great. Wifi and complimentary breakfast with good layout we had a side view but could see beach from bathroom and kitchen. Window parking is a bit difficult. In large vehicle but if your a good driver you can deal with. That what we loved the most was the pool always felt warm when got in at any time of the day and access. To beach me and my family would definitely. Stay again (family of 4 2 little kid)

The Roadway Inn was a nice small hotel. Being right on the beach was a huge plus. It also had a nice little pool behind it. The small kitchen was nice and allowed for a us to make our own meals. The carpets were a little dirty however and needed to be cleaned.

Reasonable price and nice view, but odd customer service and not a very clean hotel. We ordered a late noon check out, but we're hagled out of our room by their forceful maintenance man. At which point he proceeded to argue with me stating "… there wasn't any late checkout offered. Checkout us at 11 every day no matter what". I questioned my own sanity briefly until referring to the very clear sign on front counter. All if this scrambling ensued before clarification took place, and not so much as an apology took place, after I even pointed out the mistake. I kindly suggested they educated their staff on the policies. At the least they could mark down the state of each room, to avoid this poor experience. A free Trello board could automae the whole process, actually. Staff could just check their phone. The good: Great Beach view and access. As well, we were allowed to stay parked while using the beach.

I agree with Michelle. Sarah was very pleasant and friendly and even showed me how to make my TV work. The bed comfortable the bathroom has a pedestal sink and a nice bathtub and a view of the beach from the window small comfortable clean I went for a nice sleep and I got 12 hours so I was very happy and the price was right considering the beachfront. I was curious about staying a week but weekends were not included so I moved on. If you want economy cleanliness and a good night's sleep this is a good place to be. If you want to see the beach just take a few steps and you're on it.

We just checked in after a long drive. We just needed a place for our family, including our dog, to sleep for the night before heading further south in the morning. Sarah, the Office Clerk, was extremely pleasant and helpful as she checked us in. The room is quaint and reminds me of my childhood and the kind of cool rooms that had "magic fingers. " The beds are extremely comfortable and especially nice. The is an old school, beach front hotel with southern hospitality! You cannot beat it for the price. After reading the other comments above, I believe those who commented in a derogatory manner are confused as to the difference in a hotel and a resort. I give this place two thumbs up and five stars because they are exactly what they advertise to be, with the extra perks of location, friendliness and great beds!

One of the worse places I've stayed in. Pics on website are misleading, ocean view does not mean you can see the ocean from your room — only out of your frosted bathroom window, Beds were terrible, room was so overcrowded that you could hardly get by 2nd bed to bathroom, 1st bed was right in front of airconditioner one foot away — had to pile pillows up to block the air or stifle. If you wanted to hang up your clothes you had to scrunch between refrigerator and wall, no clocks in rooms, bedspreads and rugs felt dirty. Parking is a horror no room to turn around if you park along bldg — one way in, same way out — terrible. It was on the beach and had a small pool but this hotel was way below the standards that we are use to with CHOICE HOTELS… would never recommend this… we have stayed at Rodeway's before and they were great. Very disappointed… not worth the points.

The motel first appeared dated, but the friendly staff, excellent location and very clean and comfortable rooms quickly made up for the age. We will be back!

Perfect little old motel! Just like others said the building is old and the rooms are small, but the beds were comfy and everything was clean. Hot water with good pressure in the showers and a very friendly staff. Also, good Wi-Fi.

The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and big bathroom since it was me and my daughters family of 4! We stayed two nights. We forgot my granddaughters tablet and the called and when I went to get it the lady had bubble wrapped with me with my grandson pacifier. Wonderful staff and time.

Most friendly staff I have encountered in a long time. Rooms were very clean, and pool was great. If I had any complaint it would be that the room was a little small. That being said, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Again, I cant say enough about the staff. They went way above and beyond any expectations I had.

Let me quote captain obvious… This is a scary and unclean hotel. Very overpriced. Dirty, ac barely worked, only blanket was a hotel bedspread, carpet grimy, limited parking, 1 cleaning lady, smelled like urine, hotel I'd photo shopped on website… Beware…
