If zero stars was available thats what I would rate this place. First off the web site is fake as they come this place is nothing like it shows on the site. On first arriving at oceanside inn the place is very dirty, smells horrible, the windows on the hotel was do dirty they looked stained, the restaurant was never open, nor the bar, all of the front desk clerks (with the exception of one young lady) was very rude, we was suppose to have ocean front but of course there was none available on our arrival. When we got to our room after walking a block and crossing the busy street to park with 3 little children our room had a horrible smell. The housekeeping was horrendous, there was a sign that said housekeeping does not clean until like the 3 or 4th day of ur stay, which was fine I had no problem with that because I didnt not want them in my room when I wasnt there anyway. But on our 4th day of stay while we was out of the room the housekeeper came in and cleaned and of course there was a problem when we got back. The housekeeper had knocked my wifes ring off the end table and vacuumed it, she did not report it, she placed it back on the table as if she done nothing. The manager was notified who did come to our room and explained what happened after we call for a police report. (bc we thought the diamond had been stolen. ) And he did find the diamond under the bed, but the manager did not apologize nor did the housekeeper, did not offer to replace the ring or have it fix or anything, and he tried to make us feel like it was our fault. So at the time we didnt make a huge deal about it bc we thought it could be fixed, and we didnt want it to ruin our vacation, it was not until we returned home when we found out that the ring was completely worthless and could not be fixed. Over $3000 down the drain or should I say up the vacuum. I called the hotel from home and tried to explain the situation and the manager of course was rude and stated they was not responsable for the damages. Of course how convenient, he told me to file a claim with my home owners. Lol why would I do that when it was their hotel and their employee that was negligent and responsible for the damaged to our property. I know it was our fault for leaving it in the room but we was also under the impression that housekeeping wouldn't be in our room. I would never stay in this dirty, disrespectful place nor would I recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't even allow my pets to stay here. In closing I also asked for the contact info for the owner of the property and the hotel manager refused to give me the info. I hope this hotel reads its reveiws and it not the manager I spoke with bc he obviously can not and will not understand the seriousness of this situation.
