Review of Cove Motel Oceanfront 2*

The worst motel I had ever stayed at. Dirty, door did not locked, heater did not worked, TV control did not worked, and there was human pathogens everywhere, I found and old receipt and book from previous occupants on the bed. Dirty and hard towels with human hairs on it including inside the shower and tub. Food crumbs left inside mini fridge. Human long hairs around the floor, old dirty with blood broken bed covers set, yellow and white faded pillows, noisy old mattress. Room had a moldy smell. Furniture was deteriorated with water dammaged, it looked like there was a flood in there before and furniture was not changed, sofa had a dusty gray fitted bed sheet on it because it was loosing it's color. I am a licensed mold inspector and I give this hotel a zero. You would think now in days people would take their job more seriously and be more professional, nobody wants to catch virus from humans pathogens left behind or go and complain to a kid running the front desk. There was not available reservations in any other hotels around the area until next day, so my husband and I had to stay in this room but we went to the store and bought MICROBAN to sanitized the whole room and pre washed bed cover set to lay on, we couldn't sleep all night praying nobody will come in since there was no way to lock the door. We let our families and friends know what happened so they won't make the same mistake. Next day we went to the daytona car race and went to another hotel where service was as expected, nice clean smell great room, soft clean white towels, clean not wrinkles bed covers set and nice mattress, delicious food and great grown up customer service. Cove motel should put on their online advertising post " By the way, you might find noticeable human pathogens left behind by other occupants but it's OK, we can accommodate you to another room less gross where you would also complain about but that's all we can do for you, thank you for your stayed, hope to see you next season"!
