Had a bucket of dirty mop water dumped on my husband and I today while at the pool…from 3 Floors above us…no apology from maid or nothing others than quarters to clean our laundry from front desk…. Not happy!

We had a great stay here. Hotel was clean, room was clean, towels, beds all clean. Room didn’t smell! Pool was clean. Great little place across from the beach! walking distance to beach! Everyone was friendly staying there.

The best place to stay at while in Clearwater FL the beds are so comfortable and the bedding is the absolute best 10/10 they are very clean very nice and friendly and everything is walking distance I’ll never stay anywhere else.

Highly recommend pelican pointe. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the location was awesome. We will definitely return on our next trip back to Clearwater Beach.

We have a family of 4 (8 y/o & 1 y/o) and loved Pelican Pointe! It was a great space for our family and I really appreciated that dishes, a toaster, normal size fridge, and dish soap were provided. Pelican Pointe was clean, had a wonderful pool and was in a perfect location. We walked everywhere we wanted to go and were so happy to be right across the street from the beach. This was so much nicer than a hotel room and much more affordable. We would love to visit again!

Discrimination against disabled marine who is Asian by manager, I understand the fear of covid, but this is going too far! and his service animal. Dirty manager, unkempt and was visibly terrified of Asian Americans and also if you book thru Expedia, they only give certain rooms, ours had a view of the dumpster, or we could have paid 75$ to upgrade, even though we paid 115$ a night, which is their normal going rate at the time. No pull out couch, it’s a futon.

We just left after staying 5 nights! The hotel was very clean, and staff were very helpful. Not to mention the LOCATION! Walking distance from the beach and beautiful palm trees and ocean view from the hotel. Very satisfied with our stay, will definitely come back next vacation and stay at this hotel.

Perfect location! Steps to the beach. Free parking, walking distance to all kinds of dining. Fancy or casual, both with great views. Rooms are clean and have little kitchen. Plenty of room! Staff was great. Sat by pool one day because of wind where we were very comfortable!

We have stayed there at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The location can’t be beat. Walkable to each side of the island and the trolley stop is right across the street. The rooms are very large and extremely clean. The small kitchen area has everything that you would need to cook during your stay. There is a small dining table and chairs as well as a nice sized sitting area. The bed is also very comfortable. This is the only place we stay during our trips to Clearwater Beach.

Hotels such as this one is what Florida beach living is about. Totally mom and pop no chain here. Rooms are very large and super clean. Check in was super friendly as well as the house keepers. Everyone chatted us up and were so nice. As for the rooms like I mentioned very large. I was impressed with how clean they are. The morning after our visit I saw a house keeper cleaning the room next door. She spent over an hour there. I saw her put the bed up against the wall… to sweep under it. She also removed the mattress from the futon and was wiping down the entire frame. A man was literally swabbing the pool deck. Who else does this? We are very well traveled and loyal to the Hilton chain and I have never seen this sort of care before. No wonder it’s so clean. The staff here work their tails off to keep this older hotel looking new. Prices were insanely cheap for Clearwater Beach. We have a new home away from home. All things considered this 3 ⭐️ hotel is a 5

The location is fantastic for the price! If you're looking for an affordable hotel right in Clearwater Beach, THIS IS IT! It will not be your 5 star resort but the price is great and you get to support a local business :)

From the moment I found this hotel and spoke to Pam to book a room, I knew I had made the right decision. The staff are absolutely wonderful. And the hotel? Well, it was too. Not even 5 minutes from the beach and enough restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms may be a bit older than all the new, modern hotels, but they are clean (the maid service is excellent) and well maintained, with plenty of room. We stayed in a room with a small kitchenette/sitting area with a futon, and a bedroom with 2 double beds. We had 2 chairs looking towards the beach and were on the 4th floor. Nice, clean pool, ping pong area. I just cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We will be going back and probably taking the entire family next time. Thank you to Pam and the staff for a wonderful time!

The rooms in the hotel are very clean and have a unique touch. We stayed in a double suite and it lived up to our expectations. The room was spacious and came with a kitchenette; the fridge was larger than other hotels we stayed at (a bit larger than a college mini fridge). The bed was fairly comfortable and the pillows were very comfortable. The pool was open late which was nice. It is located a few minutes from the beach and has a restaurant beside it where people staying at the hotel receive 10% off (the food is amazing there). Overall, this hotel is a great place to stay at and is very affordable. We also got free parking while we stayed at the hotel. There was no safe in our hotel room which was an area for improvement.

We have stayed at the Pelican several times and have enjoyed it. But this year, not so much. The hotel was clean, reasonably priced and close to the beach. But the noise was unbearable. Saltys next door has live music blasting through speakers. Makes it hard to relax listening to deafening music. The screaming at the pool was no better. There were pool rules that weren't followed and enforced. Management could have been a bit more helpful. The property manager was but everyone else said "there is nothing we can do". Just my experience!

Great location beach is a few steps across the street bars restaurants shopping and activities close. Friendly helpful staff. Room is clean and comfortable. This our third time at The Pelican.

The room was very clean and came with all the extras without having to ask. (Fan, extra pillows, sheets, etc. ) I also liked the full quality toiletries that didn't run out. The pool had complimentary pool balls and floats. The staff was very friendly! Location super!

Very clean hotel, perfect location. Great location. We booked 4 months prior to our trip and asked for the same room we stayed in before when we made our reservations. I was told we would have that room, upon arriving when I recieved my room key there was 'white out' on where someone changed our room #. To book 4 months in advanced, and to not get the room that we were told we would have was certainly not the way I was expecting our visit to turn out.

Great location, in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach! You get discount at nearby Restaurants for being a guest. Nicely decorated, very clean & great view (ask for a room facing the beach). Every room has it's own balcony to sit and relax. Warm pool. Call the hotel as you're quoting, they may have a deal. Totally recommend it!

I could not be more pleased. This was a very last minute booking, they were very accommodating. Front desk super friendly and helpful. Room was exceptionally clean and quite comfortable. Out door pool was heated and had a very enjoyable swim one evening. Pool is kept very clean. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance as well as the beach. Will stay there again next year.

This hotel is one of the best ones I've stayed in. I liked the room's layout and colourful walls, the kitchenette, the soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom, and the practical towel holders. Heat was working, internet access was excellent throughout my entire stay. This hotel also provides beach towels and beach chairs to use during your stay. The receptionists are friendly, accommodating and efficient. The only drawback is the paper thin walls. The beach is a few steps away.

Love this place. Have stayed here many times. The pool is nice. The location is great and the price is the best part. Located right across the street from the beach. I took one star off for because one of the rooms I stayed in needed some maintenance. Just paint, nothing that detracted from my stay. Will be going again soon.

This hotel should be considered a 5 start hotel. Clean, friendly, quiet and staff is amazing! Laundry on site. Beach and stores are in walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel. I don’t ever write reviews, this is my first review for any hotel. All I can say it’s a EXCELLENT HOTEL! I’m enjoying my stay as I write this review! We extended our stay here as we are really enjoying this hotel! FAMILY HOTEL! Perfect for kids! Perfect get a way spot! Please take my word on this hotel! This a perfect hotel and it’s not expensive even if it was it’s still worth every penny! Heated clean pool! Can’t ask for any more!

Nice place to spend some time on the beach. Colorful decor, clean and great prices. You can do most any beach activity within virtually minutes from hotel and it's about 50 yards from the ocean front.

We stayed for the weekend. It was quiet, walking distance to beach shops/restaurants. Weather was rainy then cold. The room was cozy with a great heater. I would recommend this place for a short weekend getaway or family vacation.

We booked a room for 6 of us. The room was a little cozy, but not cramped, with all our luggage, however we do over pack :) Rooms were clean & lovely. The hotel staff even washed our dishes! Hotel staff was very friendly. Very convenient location. Loved this place and will certainly stay here again.

The room was clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Compared to surrounding competitors, you couldn't beat the price with this hotel. It's right across the street from the beach and a small walk away from shopping centers and food. There's also a nice restaurant located next door to this hotel. Our room also included two beach chairs and a cooler, which was a nice surprise. The fourth floor has a great view. If I ever came back to Clearwater, I would definitely book with Pelican Pointe. It's a hidden gem near the beach.

Stayed here Oct. 21-25th with two other women and we all loved everything about the place. Location, clean, pool, staff, view, room, etc. We loved that we could see the ocean from our balcony on the 4th floor. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommend this place! Ur located at the South end of Clearwater Beach so everything is very close and recommend the Jolley trolley (download app to follow) or Florida free rides (work just for tip) to get from place to place faster! Just fabulous all around very accommodating place and location can't be beat for the value top notch!

Stayed in the Studio for a week. Very clean and roomy for two people. I also really appreciated all of the extra effort in the bathroom like makeup remover wipes and complimentary beach towels. For such a low price, I am very satisfied.

This was a great place! My daughter and I stayed here 2 nights and it was so clean and decorated really cute. This will definitely be my come to place in Clearwater. Friendly staff and very well kept up property! Love this place!

This is a great place to stay close to everything. The staff is great they are friendly. The room is kept clean. For the price you can't beat it. It's Across the street from more expensive hotels we paid 1/2 the price a night. You have to walk less than a 1/8 mile to the beach I can walk it with a cooler and chair in 5 min.

Good value hotel. Staff very helpful and polite. Not the classiest hotel in the world but great location and value.

The rooms are so beautiful and creative. We got a separate living area with a kitchenette and bedroom and bathroom. For the price it is very convenient. We have walked everywhere without burning gas, including the beach! The only thing that got me, was the fact I traveled 12 hour to get here, overnight with no sleep, and when I arrived it was 7 am. They would not let us check in until exactly 3 pm so we had no where to shower or anything until 3. Big disappointment. Otherwise, very clean pretty, convenient hotel.

Excellent experience. Clean rooms and the staff is attentive. Excellent views and if you stay on the 4th floor, you have a good view of the Gulf of Mexico. I will definitely stay here again and I recommend this hotel to friends.

Rooms spacious and very clean. Good level of amenities in room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to beach and bars / restaurants. Lots of parking spaces. No issue with noise during night but there were some noise during the day / evening as people enjoyed themselves (shock / horror) … and you are close to the main road through Clearwater and there is some building work in the vicinity. Think of an up market motel and you won't be far wrong. And very very reasonably priced. Really pleased that we picked this place to stay.

I guess I expected much more after reading the reviews. I'll give it 3 stars. It was adequate. Had all the basics. Some of the furniture was worn and without going into details the bathroom was not up to my cleanliness standards. Would I stay there again… probably not. Easy parking and nice location as it was easy walking distance to many places on the strip.

My experience at pelican pointe hotel was not very nice at all, the managers are not very understanding and they don't work with the customers as they should, as well as the front desk workers, they are very sassy. I would not recommend this hotel to any one. Although it's pretty on the outside I don't think anyone wants bad service while on vacation. Also after not staying there I tried for 4 days to get a refund so far. And they have neglected to answer their phones, and once they did respond they refused to give my money back. And I know this has not been their first time not giving money back.

The Wi-Fi worked reasonably well. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Spring breakers were allowed to party and make noise until they decided to go to sleep (around 3am). The "security" was a 65 year old woman who hung around in the office. Another night the fire alarm was pulled around 1am. I noticed lots of other families angrily pacing in the parking lot until it was turned off.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Good stuff: Nice warm pool, ample free parking, decent Wi-Fi, nice big room with balcony and very friendly helpful staff. Bad stuff: Nothing Local stuff: Lots of nice beach restaurants within walking distance, supermarket around 5mins drive away. Beach is 2 min walk away and the sunset pier 60 is around 10 — 15mins walk We would stay here again.

Simple but clean and spacious accommodations; 1 block from Beachwalk. Suite has a small kitchenette. Pool is heated. Hotel rooms are nonsmoking but many many guests smoke in the patio outside their rooms and you have to walk past them to reach your room.

Three time guest: I have always raved about this hotel in past reviews and this was my third stay at this hotel. I still love this hotel, but. The Wi-Fi was awful this time. I mean really awful. I learned by the end of the stay that you must reauthorize the Wi-Fi every time your device goes to sleep. That is not like other hotels. Otherwise, I love the location, maid service, night security, pool and just the place altogether. We will return, but I am hoping the Wi-Fi will improve. Please remember this is not the Hilton and you are not paying Hilton prices, so it does have aging areas and a large minority of the clientele are partiers and/or smokers. So just prepare yourself for that and you can't beat being across the street from the white powder of Clearwater Beach.

We booked this room on short notice, before our kids' spring break (K5, 3rd, and 4th grader), and we agreed that there must have been a reason rooms were available here but nowhere else. Especially during spring break time, due to the "V" shape of the hotel, it gets really, really noisy from vehicles and noise on the Clearwater "strip" since it traps the sound, and this makes it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Many of the hotel patrons themselves were also quite loud and obnoxious (some of them retaliated for being eventually kicked out by coming back and tripping the hotel's fire alarms at 2:30 in the morning). Some other guests who had stayed there often indicated that, at other times during the year, it's a pretty quiet hotel. But, between the noise and type of clientele, I would not recommend staying here during spring break time with younger children. They collect all of your money up front, which I had never experienced before at a hotel. As long as you understand that this is a bargain location, it is a decent enough place to stay. The proximity to the beach is awesome, the beach is right across the street. The pool is great for kids and gets sun for the better part of the day. It was fairly clean and well-maintained. As a runner, I found the location to be nice and close for a run in either direction, down to the Clearwater Aquarium or across the bridge toward Sand Key Park.

A great hotel. They have recently remodeled, replacing the front of the building with new concrete block, windows and doors. The staff is friendly and attentive. Very close walk to the beach.

Horrible hotel. Would give negative stars if I could. Roaches all in our room. We didn't stay the night because of the roaches and the hotel REFUSED to refund our money. There is no front desk person at night. Just a security guard sitting on his butt doing nothing. People running around doing whatever they want. The person in th e room next to us was getting high on the balcony. Definitely not family friendly.

Room 414 was nice and clean. Smelled fresh. For $100 a night you can't really expect more. The only thing I didn't like was the elevator smelled bad and also there is construction right in front. Stayed 2 nights and would consider this hotel again.

My husband and I stayed over night last night in Pelican Pointe in room 321. It was a very cute room, the bed was comfortable, and the environment was relatively clean. The only (and worst) downfall was the fact that we found a single bed bug crawling in the sheets when we woke up. We killed it and researched it on the internet to verify that it was a bed bug. We reported it to the front office, but am not sure what happened from there.

I really liked this hotel! It was clean, bright, nice pool, friendly staff, awesome location minutes from the beach and their coffee can compete with Starbucks. Okay maybe not Starbucks but, it was oddly good! In other reviews I saw people saying the bed was not comfortable, but we slept great! Definitely coming back here! :D.

The hotel was very nice. I liked the room (suite with kitchenette) and facility was clean. It was kind of loud one evening because the pool was packed with one very large group of kids, but overall we had a great time. View was perfect as we were on the 4th floor and could see the water, and the pool. Breakfast was minimal at best (bagels, oranges, pop tarts, sweet rolls, juice and coffee) but for the beach I wasn't expecting much. There is a sign that you cant take food back to your room but my little one was sick and they watched me walk out the door with her food she didn't eat and didn't say a word. Staff was really nice, even at 9pm when I went to get new sheets cause my little girl had gotten sick on ours! beds were comfortable, and overall we had a great time. The staff suggested places to order in from, and their suggestions were great. We will be visiting this hotel again.
