Could be better, we need, ice more towels, better AC, more room upgrades like 3, 6, or 7 the building is too old so needs maintaining it all the time. The environment is agreeable and play ball in the swimming pool is not easy to spent time in it. Or the pool is to little or there is too many people in it. The blower from the bathroom doesn't work so you hair stays wet, good grieve. It is well located and it looks amazing from outside.

Always love coming to this beach! The boardwalk! The restaurants! And of course the beach! Wonderful! Great for singles, dates and family!

I've never had to deal with such horrible customer service. The office isn't in the building and there's no sign saying this. Our keys didn't work so had to walk back to the check in office to get a new key where the lady was beyond rude. Once we got to the room we realized the lady gave my brother and I a queen size bed and my mother and her husband a room with a double bed so we had to switch rooms. The hallway smells musty and old. The portable a/c b in the room looked like it's seen better days. Definitely won't stay here again.

The room was ok for the price. But customer service needs improvement, my husband and I stayed to celebrate my birthday. At time of checking in my husband mentions to the front desk attendant she didn’t even acknowledge what he said. She gave our breakfast vouchers but did not explained how it works. The hotel registration office is not in the hotel lobby you have to walk or drive to get to it. It does not have parking you have to use the public garage parking which they didn’t explain either we had to figure it out on our own. The room is very small. Is right on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk.

I was last year for my birthday and this year also the change is amazing all lousy more deteriorated so cute place is a shame the lousy attention I asked for housekeeping of the room and I did change the sheets the bathroom in very bad condition a real shame.

Excellent location, poor maintenance of the building. Few services. Acceptable value for money. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Nice beach north of Miami. Wide, sea without algae, bars and kiosks to count drinks and ice cream. The historic Hollywood building is very old with a smell of humidity. Each department depends on how it is equipped. But the location with respect to the beach is excellent. Has direct access.

Would love to give it more. They really need to quit taking silver out of a gold mine. Still a great time and experience. Nice room the second one. Give it a try and you'll probably be satisfied. No shopping involved.

It would have been great to see this hotel in its former glory. It's definitely run down and not very clean. However, the room is acceptable, and the location can't be beat. The large pool is wonderful, and the beach is right across the boardwalk.

It's a huge hotel, facing the beach. It has a large swimming pool with heated water. Spacious rooms with refrigerator and stove. Negative aspect: Only two elevators, which were insufficient for the number of people staying there, and smell of humidity in the room. We only stayed one night, so I can't give you any more information.

Ideally this would be the perfect resort. However, it's very old and should be updated. I got stuck in the elevator, luckily I was able to pull the door open. The elevators are a bit scary and I don't know if the stairs actually allow you to exit the building. It's honestly cheaper to rent one of the rooms here through an owner using Air B&B. The location is perfect and the staff is friendly & helpful.

Got there late at night, like a scene from some horror movie. Bed bugs crawling on the pillows, bed bugs crawling on the wall! Asked for a different room, this one had bed bugs and cockroaches crawling every where. You would be better sleeping on the beach. This place was an absolute nightmare! Avoid at all cost! Seriously! (Should be zero stars)

Please please please do not stay here. We found a live cockroach in our room the second day we were there. We had multiple men chasing us up the stairs to the 5th floor making inappropriate comments. We felt very unsafe here. The odor in the hallway and the smell of urine in the stairway was sickening. The front desk staff didn’t even bother to look up or greet us as we were waiting to speak to them. I’ve never left a review before but I felt as if I needed to share my experience with potential guests at this establishment. I wish I could rate this hotel 0 stars.

Just avoid staying here at all costs. The lobby is like an abandoned mall and many strange locals live in the building. There are funky smells coming from every corner (the stairs smelled like urine). There is only 1 elevator working and I have a feeling it’s been that way for a long time because all the reviews say the same. There was a cockroach in our room and everything is very run down and gross. We stayed at another hotel for double the price. The entire Hollywood beach area is not even worth the money! Vacation somewhere else.

The hotel is run down.
Even in the Springbreak season, it feels like an abandoned ruin. The terrain is unclean and the corridors are dirty. It smells like drugs and only one of the two elevators works. For the number of rooms there is stillness here. No wonder no pogram or any commitment to entertain the visitors is lacking. In addition, the staff comes in inept and lazy. Security, in particular, is improperly attuned to needs. An example: When we had problems because of too high volume levels of the neighbors I went to complain. Instead of solving the problem, security was wiretched with two plump sentences. I couldn't sleep until an hour later.
The only positive is perhaps the location right on the beach anyway I would not recommend anyone to take a further holiday.
Ps: Someone should take over the hotel the appropriate will to do so has something to do for tourism in Hollywood Florida. Otherwise, things look bad in the future.

Worst hotel visit. It was a nightmare even before checking in. The staff were very unpleasant to work with and had horrible customer care/service. The hotel is supposed to be “non-smoking” but our room reeked of smoke (The whole 7th floor did). The pictures are very deceiving! Looks nothing like the online pictures. Nothing is kept up and seems like nobody cares to. The lobby is filthy and in disrepair. The whole building looks horrible! Also, plan on waiting at LEAST 10-15 minutes to even get on the elevator as only 1 works. We saw at least 3 cockroaches in our room including on our beds! It was completely disgusting.

The hotel is an absolute mess. Room walls thin as paper. The supposed sea view is the view of a huge roof. The windows are dirty and the bathroom disgusting. Mold and hair of the predecessor. The fittings calcified. In addition, 24 euros for parking is added daily. Not recommended. Escalators out of operation and the impression on the ground floor is bleak.

When we arrived to our room I ended up catching 2 bed bugs on each bed. The room had a portable air conditioner and needed a overall over haul. When I took the bugs to front counter they offered me another room on the same floor, I declined. They refunded my money but weren't helpful in giving any other options or assistance. I was on the streets looking for lodging at midnight. Ended up paying double the price elsewhere. Bad experience. I did call to speak with a manager the next day who was unavailable and was told they would leave a message for her to call me back but she never returned the call.

It's one of those beaches where you can actually enjoy your time there. It's not too pack so you'll get a nice spot on the beach. It is family friendly and being I was with my nephew, it was great. There was things in the broadwalk like some little bike I can ride around with him. Overall good time.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We stopped here on the way to our week-long Keys trip. We were given a rate during the check-in process and then, after I gave my credit card information, they told me the rate was $30 higher! We decided not to stay and I asked for my credit card back. I noticed that the desk clerk kept a copy of my card and I asked him for that too! When we got home from our Keys trip, I discovered they charged me $137.65 for the night! I tried repeatedly to have the charge removed but they would not do it. I disputed the charge with my bank and they maintained that the charge was valid and refused to remove the charge. My dispute is not over so stay tuned… Update: I wanted to add that I did eventually get a refund for the charge, so I would maybe give a score of 2 instead of 1.

DO NOT stay in this resort! All the stores, bars are closed. The pool opens whenever they feel like opening it. The resort is full of mild and gross. The staff here are rude the restrooms threw out the resort are worse then a port a potty. There is no evening entertainment, you can't even throw a ball at the pool. It is the most ridiculous place I've ever stayed at. Will never do it again.

Location is great. Convenient to restaurants and beach. Everything is walking distance. They gave me a ride to and from airport. A good value. If you want a fancy upscale place this aint it.

This place was probably very grand back in the day but is sorely in need of a major renovation. The halls are dingy and the lingering cooking odors are not at all appealing. The rooms are okay but the lobby is a disgrace. The hot water drifts which makes for a very quick shower. The "curb appeal" is non existent. The closest (decent) restaurants are a couple of blocks away. It could be lovely but it isn't now.

Absolutely absurd. Mildew smell. Broken AC. One functioning elevator for 8 floors, last certified in August of 2016. Unapologetic staff. Do you need a pillow or blanket for your room? Don’t bother asking — they won’t give you any. BUT if you HAD to pick something, do the Pent House because it has a cool view — also a view of the rotting roof but you’re near the beach so that’s good enough.

Hi all, I'm not satisfied with the hotel, first of all the absurd value of the parking of 24 $ daily, the apartment with many cockroaches, I already complained in the reception and they will not solve the problem nor clean the right leaving the dead cockroaches in the kitchen, the sofa bed in bad condition, and will not place blankets for my children, I want a solution to those problems, very high value $ 1298.80 plus $ 120 parking, $ 1418 value for five nights very expensive more than $ 280 per day. I expect a solution to the problems. To be honest I am very concerned about the hotel.

For a Historic Hotel of the front Hollywood beach it's need a New Hotel. The hotel is not that great as staying the room are dated and unpleasant and guest shouldn't have to go second floor to check-in the office to get a room. Where the hotel-front desk is located is a closed down restaurant with a beautiful view of the beach. At one point this was a beautiful hotel as time move a long management changes. Management forget the key value of a great Historical Hotel of Hollywood Beach. The hotel need to be rebuilt from bottom up to be back to it's elegant looking day.

This is honestly the worst place I have stayed at. First of all it use to be a mall… and then you have to go to the second floor to check in. Also, they don't even have their own parking lot it's a public garage where you pay $24 a day. When I first came in the hallway I saw a big dead roach and when I went outside to my car I saw a rat running by. The bathroom is disgusting. The toilet barely works and when taking a shower it would get super cold and then super hot out of nowhere. Not to mention this place looks haunted & sketchy. Don't spend your money here! It's not worth it.

This place is a real dump. Do yourself a favor and spend some extra bucks and get yourself a nicer place. Everything is old and falling apart, it smells like mold everywhere. I don't know how this place hasn't been shut down yet. It feels like an abandoned hotel. Staff are really rough looking. Like its a prison release program. Electrical cords ran all over the rooms, room is nasty old. Ceiling tiles missing. Gross gross gross.

The smell of mildew was not even close to why I'm giving this hotel only 1 star. The elevator to the penthouse rarely works. We had to lug our bags up the stairs. Now don't be impressed by the "penthouse". I've stayed in nicer super 8 motels! The air conditioning didn't work in our room at all and the only thing staff could offer us was the box fan that was ALREADY in the room which shows it had been out awhile. Ugh! Absolutely terrible experience from poor hospitality to not even having the bare minimum after paying 159.00 for one night!

This hotel is older and needs alot of Maintenance. A/c units dont work well and rooms are quite hot. Front desk agents are well trained to diffuse situations and give stock answers. Customer service is based on the employees mood. Price was fair but when you include resort fee and parking you feel kind of ripped off. Well goal was a stay-cation and we would not let anything steal our joy… If u have the time and few extra bucks just stay at a nicer hotel. If you do stay here just know YOU will have an issue.

This place is definitely in need of some upgrading and cleaning. As you walk in, it smelled old and like a wet dog. Initially there was a problem with them finding my reservation which my room was already paid for in full before I got there. After straightening that out we got the room and saw a roach on the wall. The linen on one of the beds did not look clean, the faucets in the bathroom sink and tub with severely corroded and missing pieces. While taking a shower the water temperature fluctuated from warm to very hot several times. The tub was also not draining well while taking a shower the water was getting backed up. Stepped out for dinner came back somewhat late and found several baby roaches crawling around the room. There was also a centipede on the wall. Parking for our 1-day nightmare also costed $56. I will never come back here and will not to recommend this place to anyone.

The front desk never picked up the phone even when available to do so. Had the wife call the desk while I waited inline to prove it. They never reported my complaint of a bad a. C. Unit for 2 days. The security is a joke. Multiple entrances with key entry or validation requires. Back stairs, and even the front entry walk right in. No need to show the key card. The mall is run down and vagrants found sleeping and ignored by the security. Maintenance walks right by trash. Pool area is misused, umbrellas detached and lay in the ground. Pool security allows people in without wrist bands. The entire building is in a state of differed maintenance. I can only assume there are multiple disconnected interests due to the condotel. The staff in the shops are unfriendly, and on edge. It is not worth the low cost to feel unsafe, unwanted, and unimportant. Staff takes the complaints as everyday expectations. I'm sure it is now what the founder envisioned in 1925.

Good location, and a nice pool. That's it. The place has a lot of potential, but haven't been doing anything to fix it in years. It's dirty, there is no mall inside and having problems with my security deposit because they still are not giving my money back, nor answering my calls. Oh, and don't get me started on the parking. So much money to park there, plus a resort fee. Unbelievable.

It was a great atmosphere. The hall way carpet most definitely needs to be replaced due to the mold smell. The rooms did not smell, very comfy. Pool area is great, the beach is clean. This is an old hotel many things should be remodeled although it's historic somethings really need to be changed. But other than that the check in and out staff were very helpful. Parking is terrible though, due to memorial w/e the valet company tool advantage and was charging $45 and self parking $35. Thankfully they honored the $18 self parking for me due to my reservation that stated that, I did not even have to ask, they did it automatically. Would I stay there again? Yes.

Just don't stay here. You have to pay for parking more than $20 a day. Lousy house keeping! Terrible rooms with dirty bathrooms, peeling paint and dirty moldings. Old looking outlets too. The rooms don't have carpets which is gross considering there's a beach and makes it harder to clean the sand off the floor. I've seen cleaner pool areas. It looks like a deserted mall too and the lobby isn't air conditioned either. I give it 2 stars because you can just walk right onto the beach and we had a nice ocean view and they offer free Wi-Fi. And no my review is not over exaggerating so please consider your options.

Hotel q I have been able to stay, it's dirty, there is no control in the pool, I was supposed to stay until Monday, I went Sunday dirty rooms have powder.

Awful! Awful! Awful! Rude staff, dirty lobby, rooms, hallways, etc. Etc. No air conditioning in lobby & room air conditioner was loud & didn't keep the room cool. Please do not waste your money or time! It's terrible!

The worst — — — — — renting experience of my life. I booked through airbnb which was even a bigger mistake as I lost half my money when I demanded to leave early. HEAVY, HEAVY, MAJOR, MAJOR construction going on. For the love all that is good, at least visit it before booking so you can see what a hell hole it is. It's a combination hotel/condo/mall + 1/3 abandoned slum. Maybe it was once great, but now a days it's hell. Cruise ships dump their rubes there for a few nights too; its like living in a bazaar in Iraq. With the constant stream of hookers and strong smell of pot, this maybe perfect place for you if you're looking to score drugs and stay up all night being paranoid of your neighbor. If you're a night worker, you must especially avoid this place as it's under constant repair. The building is 100 years old, 100 year old buildings are close to death. Also you have to pay for parking. Please, please, please don't hurt yourself, avoid this place like you would aids.

I read all the reviews — it's not terrible. We got the rooms cheap, and they're impressive for the low price, but this is not a 5 star hotel. The check in process was lengthy, and you do have to pay for parking, but those are my only real complaints. The pool area is pretty awesome and if you like proximity to the beach, you'll find it here. No sign of bugs or whatever like everyone is claiming.

I wish I could give 0 stars and still leave a comment! The room was hot! The air didn't work! Not to mention that since I've been home (5 days now) I have found BED BUGS! Never in my life have I even known anyone who has had them and now I have to go thru EXTENSIVE cleaning and may possibly have to buy all new furniture! I'm disgusted and completely PISSED!

My experience was pleasent when I got there. When we walked in I looked and I was surprised to see half a tile missing from the roof, probably do to water issues. Keep in mind that the lady tells us that our room will be done at 4:00, we got there at 1:00. After we checked in my grandparents went to the bar and me and my family went to the pool and it was alright. It was about 2:30 and we walked over to the bar to be closer to my grandparents. While my mom and grandparents were at the bar me and my brother went to the beach. It was fun. When we got back to the bar I noticed that the 2 bartenders were drunk and were twerking. Me, my brother and my mom walked back to the pizza place to get some pizza. It was about 3:30 when we got there. Now I could obviosly tell by the looks of the pizza that it was frozen but, I really didnt mind it since I was hungry. We walked back to the bar to get our clothes, it was 3:45. So we started heading back to hotel to get our key and go to our room. We got there at 4:00 and they told us it would be about 15 more minutes. So we walked back to the bar and hanged out there for 10 min and we all walked back to the hotel hoping that our rooms were ready. To my surprise it wasnt so we had to wait in the lobby for about 10 more min. There was about 20 other people with the same problem. When we finnaly got to our room me and my family were surprised to see that our room wasnt what we were booked.

Walked In and Walked OUT! The place is a old mall partial converted to a Hotel! Disgusting Rooms! D I R T Y! DO NOT GO THERE! They charge resort fees and it's Crap! Plus 22 $ parking a day! NASTY! STAY AWAY!

Very poor and cheap service. I booked my room with orbitz and arriving their the hotel agent is telling me the parking is 18 USD iwas very surprised cause it was not mentioned on orbitz.

Worse hotel ever! dirty and no maintenance at all I wouldn't recommend this to anyone not even my worse enemy. My room had dust it was so much that I could write my name on it I have a kid with asthma I had to complain several times for the to clean it also the drains in the bathroom were clogged since the day I got there no one ever fixed it. They didn't even offer me another room and I even told them that I would pay for the difference. The only good thing was the location. I wouldn't even give it one star.

Hollywood Beach Resort is NOT as advertised. We arrived to be greeted by awful customer service, broken windows, a run down lobby & vacant mall, and an awful stench throughout that led us all the way to our room. They advertised a room that sleeps 6… It had a double bed with 2 pull out couches. Dishonest, and not worth your time. Save your money and stay at a mom and pop hotel on the boardwalk… I wish I had.

Rooms was dirty. Shower didnt work Toilet wont flush Spanish looking guy nice when we check in But when we came to reception with complains he started being rude. Finally moved to other hotel closer to ft lauderdale (ocean sky) this hotel is waaaay better than the first one.

It took 4 rooms to finally find one that was ok to stay in. 1st room, they counted a small futon as a double bed and expected us to sleep on it, 2nd one wasn't cleaned yet and it was 730 pm, 3rd room tub is peeling, bathroom dirty, cheap beds much like an air mattress, gas stove didn't work, electrical outlets didn't work, had to have maintenance fix lights, 4th room was a little cleaner, tub was peeling, housekeeping doesn't clean very well, the small refrigerator ended up freezing all our food and beverages. I liked the lication, this is really too bad about the hotel. If you are undergoing renovations, you should only rent out the rooms that are ready, it's not fair to the paying customers on vacation. I ended up getting a percent off my room, but am still waiting for a call back from upper management about this situation, if I don't hear back I am going to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

I am giving the star only for the sweet man behind the desk. I knew we were in trouble when we walked in and looked at the ceiling to water stained tiles and some were missing. The worst place I have ever seen or been to. Filthy, dirty, disgustingly run down, smelly, greasy and slimy floor in room (literally my sneakers were sliding), dirt in "clean" bed, broken and peeling kitchenette laminate, literally so disgusting we practically ran out and thank goodness got a refund. I took my phone and shined a light between the refrigerator and there were dead bugs and dirt next to it. As we waited, an obvious lady of night was guiltily waiting to get "buzzed" into the hotel from a security guard behind the dirty glass that lets you into the filthy elevator. RUN away from this place. I was literally scared I would get bed bugs in the 10 minutes we were there. Such a beautiful location, but the place is the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of walking into.

Booked this hotel without reading the reviews. I'm currently writing this review in my room. After I booked this hotel I read the reviews after. The reviews scared me. When I arrived at the hotel I was expecting rude workers and nasty rooms. Not true. People have over exaggerated or maybe even lied on their reviews. I got a beautiful ocean front room with a kitchen. Very big room and all clean. Very clean in fact. This is a historic hotel and if u know how to appreciate history this is the place for you. Yes this hotel is a little outdated but the rooms are reasonably modern. When I walk around this hotel I can picture what it mast have been like in the past. This was the place to be. This place now has so much potiental and an opportunity to be one of the best hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area. It's a huge hotel and what I didn't know until I got here was that it was a mall hotel. So there are shops all around. This is a fantastic place for the price and everyone I have encountered is very polite. Stop with the bull reviews.

The overall experience was horrible. Took forever to check in with very rude staff. Once checked in we used a luggage cart to take our belongings to our room and when we were done, returned it to the lobby. When we returned it there was a guy there that was very rude and yelled at us for "waiting until he left to go to the airport so we didn't have to tip him". The hallways are smelly and dirty just like the rooms. The shower and bathroom was dirty and had bugs and one of the blankets had red stains on them. The cleaning service obviously doesn't do their job. Says is comes with complementary breakfast but it doesn't, the whole building is abandoned and scary and there is homeless people that stay in the lobby/ abandoned mall as well as outside and in the bushes. Does not seem very safe. During the night we heard noises of stomping and dragging chairs and tables all night in the room above us from 11pm-11am. Don't know if this place is haunted (wouldn't doubt it) or the people upstairs were just really rude and drank a few energy drinks. The whole hotel is a fire hazard because some of the doors in the exit stairways don't open. Also, the cleaning staff are very rude and loud when in the hallway. We only had to stay for one night but it was horrible and disgusting and nasty. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and never coming back here again.

This was the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. (2/10/16 — 2/16/16) I am by no means prissy and need perfection to feel comfortable. I tent camp without electricity or plumbing and have better experiences. When we walked into the lobby, there was a couple complaining about not getting the room they booked. Later in the day there were two families upset because the hotel over booked and had no rooms for the families to stay in. They didn't find out until they arrived! The clerk was rude and told the customers that they had not booked it with her and she couldn't do anything about it. The hotel had changed ownership in the past week. They were not responsible for anything before the ownership switch. When we got into our room, we noticed blood small blood spots on the sheets. We looked for other signs of bed bugs and couldn't find anything. There was also a large blood stain on our comforter that looked like someone had period sex on it. Our kid's bed had Dorito or Cheeto cheese finger prints on it. They were obviously not cleaned. We threw them in the tub, along with all of the sheets, for housekeeping to change the next day. They didn't replace them. They put them back on the beds! The never changed the bedding the entire 7 days we stayed there. We had 4 people in our room. Housekeeping would take all of the dirty towels and leave two bath towels & one wash cloth. Every evening we would have to go to the front desk to get the correct amount of towels.

Hotel very old. Little kept. Rooms small and in a poor state. There's No good cleaning. If you have a kitchen, each time you try to cook sounds the fire alarm (and no one in the administration is responsible) therefore it sounds around 20 minutes inside your room. Has washing machine and dry clothes. Each one works with 6 coins of 0.25. The drying machine is wrong, x it that you have to put the clothes to dry twice. In synthesis you need to 18 coins. The hotel never had change for that machine. The Wi-Fi drops all the time and the staff is not in charge. There are a few posters for the guest to directly communicate with the internet provider. We would not go back to stay there ever.

I won't give any start because this hotel it was the worse hotel I stayed. Nothing worked there, TV wasn't working, the phone wasn't working, the rooms stink, don't even bother putting your clothes in the draws the smell so bad, the cleanning service. They over Charge me more what was supposed to be and they keep me on the phone for hours an they keep transering my call to other people. The only good thing is the location. But is does not make it up for the low quality the hotel is.

Stayed there Dec. 25-29, 2015. Won’t stay here again. This was my second stay in Hollywood Beach Resort Cruise Port. I was there 4 years ago and really enjoyed heated pool and really great Jacuzzi. This visit was nothing but a big disappointment. I was asked to pay extra $10 per day for “resort fees”. Parking was $18 per day. The whole place was sold to 2 or 3 different investors. Building is about 100 years old, hallways look repelling. “Heated” pool had a faucet temperature. Jacuzzi was the greatest disappointment. Water was barely warm and jets didn’t work at all. They used to have multiple security personnel. Now one guy runs between security desk and the pool (long distance), so I didn’t feel safe at all. But the best part was talking to guest services rep. I decided to complain about the water temperature in the Jacuzzi and asked if it could be raised. He refused to help and sent me to another front desk. When I mentioned that it is his job to help me, the answer was that it is not my busyness to tell him what to do. Conversation escalated quickly and I just left after he called me “A smart ass”. I tried to find out his name or who is his supervisor, but he became even ruder. He looks like 45 years old, has a little darker skin, curly grayish hear. It's horrible to this almost abandoned the advance leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms terrible I was for 5 days and we changed 3 times of room, they work the air conditioning, the bed a mess I had a double bed but the bed linen herá to a bed of a square. The truth the hotel is horrible do not recommend it to anyone to charge 100 dollars a night is a steal. The only thing that this well is the pool that is properly maintained, the water. I think one star is too much.

We were there in January 2014 and will return January 20, 2017 for an 8 day stay. The front desk was kind enough to give us an upgrade. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was pleasant. My wife and I have been been at the Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel twice before and always enjoyed the beachfront, just steps away. The very clean pool and the wonderful oceanside boardwalk makes this a perfect hotel. The price is also reasonable. We're looking forward to our 9/20/15 return to to a comfortable and nice hotel Dr Irwin Vargas — Schatz. New York.

My room was dirty the carpet unclean, the shower and the calking was black and the toilet handle broke and when I looked at it, the plastic nut had already been broken. The TV was the best part of the room. No one came to clean it in a week of my stay. I booked it at a private owners at AIRBNB. Unfortunately was unable to get out of it. The entire hotel smelled musky and mildewed. The other guests acted as if there were no one else on the floor. I had heard yelling and loud talking, and doors slamming at 4 in the morning, I woke up, opened the door and asked them, "do you think that anyone else up here are unable to hear you? They were rude and acted as they didn't understand English This happened almost every night. The hotel staff were rude and acted as they didn't really care, I guess because they didn't. The place really needs to be demolished.

It is the WORSE hotel that I have ever stayed at. The front desk people are rude and ignorant. The place smells bad. The beds are horrible. They act like their hotel is fort Knox and make it very uncomfortable and difficult to go in and out to the pool or beach. It doesn't make any sense how the place is managed and operated. It is not guest oriented. It would be better for the place to be shut down then to be open and operated so poorly. I have stayed at hotels all over the state and this was absolutely the worse ever. I wish I had never decided to stay at this HORRIBLE HOTEL!

It is an old hotel with a lot of lack of maintenance, in addition to the hosting you have q pay 10 dls x night for use of facilities, pool towels, gym and other 20 dls for parking because q does not have area for parkear your.

The proximity of the sea and I did not like q is very old, smells old, lack of maintenance.

Terrible experience! The worst experience in any hotel I have ever stayed. Start with… contacted the Hollywood Beach Towers and this hotel got my call. When I questioned the lady on the phone she stated it was the same hotel. The room deposit was place on my CC and charged. They said it would be refunded in three business days. The first room smelled of mold, the TV did not work, and very dirty in the bathroom. Then switched to another room and no coffee in rooms, the towels were like sandpaper, and the stinch was overwelming. When alerted the front desk, by walking down there, I was informed that the charges were already billed to my credit card. When I checked out the 89.00 rate was 179.00 because we changed rooms. I will never returm to this hotel and still awaiting the money they billed me for to be returned. Terrible hotel and staff are taking the brunt of guest outrage. Deplorable hotel… can they terminate the owners? They have a sign that states "we now serve breakfast", you have to pay for it accross from the check in desk.

Great location, great Pool. Something into the years come, but with charm. Outrageous prices for the Valet Parking, but this worked, at least easily.

This has to be the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, this place is a joke on top of a disaster. We booked and oceanfront suite and the hotel had no A/c and they didn't even give us a room with an oceanfront view, we were literally staring at the roof. We come down to tell the front desk that those weren't the rooms we booked and that there was no A/c in our room and they tell us that they are sorry but they don't have any other rooms available and that they are trying to fix the A/c, and then they tell us that they would give us a refund so we go find another place to book a room and when we come back to get out refund the manager of the hotel was in the front desk and is mad and giving us attitude about getting a refund which her front desk workers said they would give us. Then she says she needs to check the rooms and after they check them they don't want to give us our refund because she says she can't sell them again because our bags were in the rooms and they could be carrying bed bugs. This "manager" has to be the worst person I have ever dealt with in my entire life, she told us she would do whatever she could to make sure we wouldn't get a refund. On top of the fact she wasn't even dressed in work clothes and she was dripping wet from the pool. Honestly I would never recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Low class hotel that is overpriced and run by a low class person.

There were so many things wrong at this place: 1. We tried checking in at 4 and our room wasn't ready when check in is at 4pm. They "upgraded" us to a "better room" for no extra cost. The floor was dirty, the windows had duct tape on them, the blanket had holes on it, the sheets were yellowish looking and so on… 2. They charge $20 per day just for parking your car, it was not on the website nor on any on the emails sent. After my husband complained for a solid half hour they gave us one of the employees' free parking ticket, otherwise we would have left to another hotel. 3. When we finally decided to start taking the bags to the room, my husband went to get one of those carts and this guy that works there told him I'll take it to the car for you. So he gets to the car and starts unloading our things, so I tell him "we can do it", he didn't have to. He said "I don't mind helping you". Honestly we didn't have any cash on us so we didn't want him to help us and then not tip him. My husband was going to go to the lobby and this guy tells him " I don't want you to dissappear on me because then who is going to tip me? " We got really mad when he said that. Who are you to tell us we HAVE to tip you, seriously? unprofessional! 4. There is a really weird smell in the building, like when something is really old kind of smell, the gave us two towels, they had bleach stains on them, they were old and looked like they hadn't been changed in 20 yrs.

Beware. My husband and I booked a hotel with EXPEDIA (Hollywood Beach Hotel, in Fort Lauderdale Fl. ) Upon booking the hotel the EXPEDIA Rep. Tells me there will be a one time accommendation fee of $10.00 due at check out.  and that the hotel provides a courtesy shuttle bus to pick us up at the airport and drop us off at the airport when checking out.  Well, upon arriving at the airport, I was told by the hotel to call the conceige at the hotel… well this is when the nightmare begins.  I call the hotel, spoke with the person that was to pick us up, I couldnt understand anything he was telling me, I told him I didnt know what direction I was to go.  He spoke so fast, I told him I couldnt hear him well.   He was irritated, rude and harsh.  After he adruptly hung up I  began to think, omg, what did I get myself into… was every worker in that hotel the same.  When he picked me up I ask him if he was the one I spoke to on the phone… he answered yes.  I told him he was very rude, well guess what, it turned out to be that he was  "the head conceige"… I wasnt thrilled. Especially after his nasty treatment over the phone.  Upon arriving at the hotel, we went to register.  Now the front desk was also very unfriendly… well I was right from the start, beginning with the head conceige.  The girl registering us says we are to pay $40.

Smelly rooms. Deteriorating bldg. $ 10.00 per day for the pool towels and Wi-Fi $18.00 parking daily minimum great location don't recomend.

Total ripoff. Do NOT waste your time. Room/hall smells. Couldn't get elevators to work with keys 4 different time. Couldn't leave parking garage after we finally got a refund at midnight, 2 hours after we arrived. No one was helpful…

Do not bother with this hotel. What its said about the hotel is correct. Dirty, run down, expensive and you even have to pay for parking $18.00 per day. Horrible.

Great room. The gym was not well kept. Very close to the beach and shops.

Worst hotel experience of my life, and today is my birthday. I get kicked out of the hotel parking because my Jeep was too loud. Then I get into my room and the gas stove was left on, literally a gas leak. So I go down stairs just to tell them and get a new room and they wanted to give me a room with one bed even though I paid for a room with 2 bed and a pullout couch. Worst experience ever. Ruined my birthday.

The only thing that this poor excuse for a hotel resort has is its location. Other than that, I strongly discourage anyone to stay at this dilapidated establishment. The room was dirty. The bathroom had pubic hair in the bathtub. The tub and bathroom sink did not drain whatsoever; which was not just a cleanliness issue, but a fire hazard because the hair dryer was situated right next to it. Water pressure throughout the room was weak. Not mention the unpleasant and unprofessional front desk staff. The front window was patched with grey duct tape. There was no functioning air conditioning unit, only a portable unit that offered less than cool air. This unit dripped condensation all over the living room floor, causing a safety issue. Additionally, the light in the living room did not work. Maintenance failed to show up to resolve that problem as promised. Overall, the entire experience and atmosphere of this facility was dark, dingy, deserted, old, unkept, and absolutely unpleasant and unprofessional. DO NOT choose this place for your stay. Not to mention the ridiculous $20.00 resort fee and the $18.00 daily parking fee. Rip Off. The only good thing about the room was the kitchen and the king side bed although I booked a room with two beds and only got one kings bed room.

Old, dirty and rundown; we thought 'historic' might mean genteel and charming, but here it just means spooky and old-fashioned. No Wi-Fi or internet access except in the lobby? even McDonald's has free Wi-Fi; ice machines were broken on EVERY floor (yup, maintenance had been contacted, we were told; then we were told that they sell ice across the street and we could go buy it if we wanted it! ). The dishes and glasses were not well-washed and the silverware still had food on it; one of the pans still had an unknown substance on the bottom; there was no dish cloth or dish towel; the outlets are falling out of the walls, and the fuse box is exposed in the entry of the room; little crappy windows; and a tiny and old-fashioned bathroom; there's more, but i'm tired — and the king-sized bed is very nice.

I was einquartriert for two nights from 13th November 2014-November 15, 2014, at this hotel. It smelled really musty and the rooms were dirty. They wanted to have even my credit card. Not realizing I've handed out the receptionist of my credit card. Although I had a voucher for the nights. When I got home, I saw on my credit card statement: and Lo and behold: the hotel had my credit card mitv202, 78 euro screams, although I as I said had an accommodation voucher. The hotel does not respond to any emails or similar! I said "Drawn across the table" on German.

Excellent. Security and cameras, the hotel, direct access to the sea, swimming pool, private parking and direct, Lobby and Bar. All.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE, False Advertising of the Expedia site and The Resorts site. I rented and paid for a Premium Ocean View room and I got a Crappy Roof View room on the 4th floor with a clogged shower. There is no FREE Wi-Fi or Such thing as Wi-Fi on premises. There is no FREE continental breakfast, unless they account some old kiosks serving you one coffee cup and one cupcake per guess a continental breakfast. They over charge for room that are deteriorated and aged!. The check in sucks, one person only on counter that seem overworked, overwhelmed, under paid and under caring. The atmosphere. Well lets say it attracts all the scum and looney's in the area. I got finally changed on my first night after complaining of room conditions into a City View room on the 7th floor. Now this was a beauty and cheaper than my so call Premium Scum Bucket room. But on my second night, my family and I are on lock down at night in our room because the entire on duty Hollywood Police force is on the 7th floor with heavy artillery trying to evacuate from premises some poor minded individual that according to his own fantastic mindset he would be running for President of the U. S. On next election and he has decided to lock himself in a room near us (starting his election campaign I guess. Lol). This guy has been chasing kids and ladies in the hotel for the past 4 days before and he was a daily renter/guess of the hotel.

Good morning! This is the worst hotel I've stayed in from 8-26-30, 2014! Very dirty, room smells musty made me sick and spent 4 nights in it room Bathtub nasty paint peeled, faucet broken and dripping all night disturbed my sleep beside the awful smell in the room that made me gagged and took pictures to prove condition of the room was in! Floor full of dust, hair, dishes dirty in cabinet ugh! Customer service very unprofessional, rude! I asked to change room nothing been done about it! no Internet connection! I rather stayed on the street better off! I won't stay in such place, wasted my money and very unpleasant stay ugh.

Hotel is in a very bad conditionthe service was horrible, the rooms were dirty and smelled bad, the a/c was broken and Wi-Fi wasn't working, the customer service was bad and the supervisor no where to be found. On top of everything after we check out we forgot the ipad in the room, when we came back to the hotel it was gone, at the front desk no one knows nothing, they were all trying to make some story with lies. At the end we had to call the police because they were lying to our faces, 2 min before the cops arrived, the girl from the front desk came to us to tell us they had found the ipad, that she was waiting for the lady to bring it down stair, ok the story was that the lady who cleaned the room forgot to tell her supervisor, that at the moment was not present because had a "family emergency" and she had it with her the whole time waiting for the manager, the cops talk to all of the personal and the story were all different, we couldn't press charges because they need a confession in order to take the lady to jail. All the personal that work there are liars, thieves, and incompetent. Please don't go there is not a nice place to stay.

Please be aware. The $18 that the Valet service charges for parking is also for Handicap Parking. The only place I could find in the city that did this. They also parked non handicap vehicles in handicap spaces. Other handicap spaces had a 4 hour maximum with being towed if you left your vehicle in the space. We were notified by some of the staff that they DO NOT have any handicap rooms what so ever. The inspection on the elevators is expired by 2 years. One of the 2 cooling towers for the Resort was broke down. We were told they had to put a bid out to get a company to come in and fix it. We were there from 6-16-2014 to 6-24-2014 and still remained in a very warm room. We were brought a fan. The other reviews that was posted on here are very much correct from what I saw. Since my wife and I are both handicap. Me a retired police officer and her retired army we have contacted the Dept. Of Justice on this, the Attorney General. We were also told by some of the staff that the ADA of Florida had been in and told this resort to get this resort up to the Florida Accessibility Code. They only lowered the front desk 1 day before we arrived. We are with others on this. If your handicapped then find another place to stay. Also this Hotel is just not a hotel, it is a time share and many rooms are owned by private individuals. The 2 ladies that own this place do not care about any of the laws for the handicap.

Poor customer service. I brought a complaint about the check in time and the rep told me that if I do stay in hotels often I should know that. I hate smart mouths customer service. If they Don't like their job they can just quit. Instead of challenging the already upset customers. And yes I do have a problem with check in time starting at 4pm. We no longer getting 24 hrs for our money. It's ridiculous. I don't know why ppl don't complain more.

Hotel is old with a lack of total maintenance, since you enter you feel a horrible smell industrial chlorine as rotten, only pleasant smell that I felt was to toast for breakfast. Room more than horrible one torture, all the night were without getting to sleep since the mattresses were not mattresses if not mattresses with springs full, air conditioning is almost a fan, does not come out hot air, the front desk well bad service, treat you as a thief for up to to give me 3 towels for the swimming pool make you sign a paper and ask for the license and you have them to deliver at the reception and you can't take it to the room. The only thing that you can enjoy is the swimming pool and the beach. I do not recommend anyone to lose their money when booking this hotel.

It is an old hotel, had no cleaning problems, exploitation of its facilities is missing, could be much more than it is today. The pool was very well, the proximity with the sea, the perfect location, and the bars on the beach, very good.
