This hotel exceeded my expectations. Here for 6 night stay visiting from Chicago. Extremely family friendly, amazing location=few steps from the beach, super market and stores in walking distance of shopping and dining. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Every room has its own outside seating area. I could not have had a better time! A+ will definitely stay here again if/ when coming back to the Fort Lauderdale area.

Very happy with my stay! They have wonderful staff — the rooms are very clean and they clean them every day if you want! The pool is nice and there’s a bbq pit in the pool area. The manager is great! Worked well to accommodate us. He even called when we were late checking in to ensure we could get into our room even though it was super late! Over all very nice place!

Close to the beach, has a small pool, even has a charcoal grill in the pool area. we had to leave a day early, but would not refund us for the night we were not going to stay.

microwave and refrigerator (or suites with stocked kitchenettes), lovely pool & patio area with a BBQ-grill. Oliver the owner is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, goes above and beyond for all guests!

Unpleasant experience. The room smelled heavily of fresh paint and the pool was closed by decree by the hygiene inspector when the reception assured us that the pool was working to convince us to stay. In addition, when asked about the condition of the beach regarding the seaweed situation, we were told that the situation was good.

If your looing for a great value In choosing a hotel I would recommend this hotel. The location is perfect for any beach goer and nightlife. Room was clean and staff was professional, attentive and courteous! Amazing experience :)

Always wonderful, this is the second time in two years. We will make it our business to make this our vacation home. The manager was VERY, VERY, VERY nice and he let me have my daughter's 11th birthday party and the kids had a BALL! THANKS AGAIN❤

This was our first visit to Ft Lauderdale and the hotel is located right across from the ocean. Also, a very affordable price and overall a comfortable stay. The kitchen is also a plus! The only negative thing is that I was not satisfied with check in. The office was closed when we arrived, and we had to wait 30 mins or so to check in.

The location of the hotel is great and the people who work there are helpful and nice. I rented the apartment room with my family. The room is somewhat outdated and the kitchen is poorly equipped so we did get much use out of it. The beds are nice and I appreciate that the bed sheets were changed every day and the floors were cleaned as well. We did not get many towels despite the fact that the website claims that we get beach towels. I also wish they had body soap in the bathroom. However, we did receive new shampoo every day which is good. The wood frames of the beds should be cleaned inside because it has dirt in it. I did not see any bugs at all and the TV channels were plenty. I like the balcony in the room which gives a nice view. The beach is within walking distance to the hotel which was good for daily walks. I have looked at images of the other rooms in the hotel and I think the apartment rooms are the most up to date. The bad reviews might be from the other rooms. One more thing about the kitchen, when you turn the oven on it smells burnt so I did not bother using it. So, overall the kitchen is not useful but it is most likely the best room and the price is very affordable, anyways. In short, pick the apartment room and you should feel in fairly clean conditions. Cleanliness is the most important.

Great spot. Stayed here multiple times. Sometimes I don't even know I'll be staying and they still find a room for me. Access to the private beach across the street where people love tequila. Nice pool area to hang out at and enjoy the views.
The owner grills for people out at the pool and always checks up on everyone.

This place is really cool cheap and not high end at all but for those traveling in a budget this is a cool place to stay you get all the necessities such as clean room fresh towels Fresh Linen the swimming pool is also really cool nice and clean.

I just stayed here and it was great. Im sorry but I have no idea what the other petty complainers are talking about. The place was in a great location. Super clean. Spacious. And really inexpensive.

Man at reception was nice. That was everything, too. Rooms: Dead flies on the walls. Living animals on the ground and who knows where else, mattress disaster, through and bed box full of filth. Some strange people as neighbors. Well, it amazes us where the good reviews come from. It was awful, we fled right after the first night.

Great location can't beat the price. Management very friendly and helpful. Been here a week going to school they gave me my deposit early because I was leaving in the morning. I'll stay here again.

Get what you pay for. Not the best but definitely not the worst. Clean room and clean sheets.

This place is nasty, it may have a fair price but the price is not worth the stay. We had mold on all over our shower curtain I called two different times and went to the lobby to let them know, they keep saying they will take care of it but three days later it is still not taken care of. The entire trip we have not had clean towels all of them are completely stained. And the when we arrived there were hairs and crumbs all in the bed. The people are loud and stay up all night blaring music and screaming. Over all do not come unless you want to live in fifth.

What a dump! Rooms are ugly, a/c doesn't hardly work, a bunch of crack heads staying there, bedding is horrible, just overall horrible place. I wouldn't even give it 1 star if I didn't have to. Don't waste your time or money.

The price is good and perfect for the room u get. The owner is also a very nice guy! Awesome.

I have stayed in this hotel MANY times over the course of the last six months, and every trip has been a pleasure. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the most comfortable mattresses anywhere. Not only are the location and value unbeatable, there are laundry services available, outdoor seating for each room facing the pool, ample electrical outlets and internet access, you also get impeccable service and positivity from Omi and his mom at the front desk. If you oversleep with your wet clothes in the dryer and can't find a quarter to save your life, HE HAS THAT COVERED! Thanks again, buddy!

My experience here can be summarized in one sentence… "Holy fuc* this place is loud. " Cars. People yelling. People in room next to me. Elevator. Plumbing in the wall. Footsteps from above. I am a pretty trashy, easily pleased guy. But damn this place was horrible.

This is the best hotel I've been in so far during my trip to Florida. The beds are a nice size, and some of the bigger rooms actually have kitchens! Do you know how excited my family was when we learned we didn't have to gorge ourselves on fast food anymore? I highly recommend it for anyone who's coming to Fort Lauderdale!

Front desk staff was great. The room are clean and the beds are very comfortable.

Terrible hotel. Filthy floor, white stains on blankets, coffee maker with no coffee, ants & mosquitoes in bathroom, and a front desk employee who was never there at 9:30 when they claim they open. The entire week they did not have cable nor internet, and every day they would "promise" it would come back on tomorrow. Disgusting place.

We came from Vancouver, WA and enjoyed our stay with the hotel. We stayed Sunday Sep 3 — Wed Sep 6. We were allowed to check in early (11 am once the room was cleaned as they had a full house the night before) and they called me to let me know it was ready at NO additional charge. Our room was clean and had a full kitchen including dishes! Nice pool and super close to the beaches and hot spots as well. Not noisy or loud! We had to get to our flight at 5 am and they returned our deposit the night before as the office doesn't open until 9:30 am. We will definitely come back if we ever visit Ft. Lauderdale again.

Great for the price. Rooms are quiet, no noise from upstairs are coming thru as in other places, rooms are pretty decent size with full kitchen and coffe maker, pans and dishes. Great location and management.

Worst hotel ever! Rude staff, broken ac, filthy room with mold and peeling paint, broken phone, lights with no bulbs. In addition, no hair dryer, no beach towels, grimy floor that turns bare feet black. Best was when guests were allowed to blast Spanish music at top volume while screaming and drinking in the pool. My family and I left and found a decent hotel. My advice? STAY AWAY! Wish I could give ZERO stars.

While this hotel needs some updating, let me just say, it was a great stay. When we arrived the rooms smelled nice and clean as well as appearance. The room came with a full fridge and stove. We were suprised by the a/c unit in the wall, but it worked great. The Staff: WOW! Every staff member there at Ocean Mile was so helpful and accomidating. They were even polite with my children! The housekeeper on grounds was extremely kind as well as thoughtful, always checking to make sure we had what we needed; fresh towels etc. The pool, much like the rooms were a bit out dated, but hey! We were there for the beach. Though not directly on the beach, Ocean Mile offers great rates, friendly service and a comfy stay.

The worst and dirtiest motel I ever been. The only one plus is good location but don't stay there. Bed bugs and bad odor, mascara and other stains on my bed + very rude owner! Stay away!

No beach access close to the hotel. Rooms are very old and did not feel clean. One towel was torn like an old cleaning rag; no soap, only 2 bags of shampoo. Ants took over a box of doughnuts in an hour (they are saving on the pest control) However, staff was nice and room had a microwave and refrigerator in it. A bit overpriced for its condition.

Beware of this property: They cancel you if you are a one night stay and running 30 minutes late!
I got my “pay later” reservation for a one-night stay Friday March 11th. I don’t recall an option for “pay now”. I did note in my confirmation papers that check in was before 9:30 pm and to call if you will be later. Due to my car being delayed at the shop for an oil change, I left for Fort Lauderdale later than expected, but the GPS confirmed a 9:25 pm arrival. I like a little more time cushion than that so I called the hotel. I was told by a male who answered the phone (I assume front desk) as long as it was around 9:30 it would be ok and if I was going to be later to call again.
Well as luck would have it there was a wreck and construction on my route and after two congested areas my GPS now predicted a 10 pm arrival. As instructed I called the hotel and explained the traffic delays and the new ETA. The same male answered the phone and explained, “I get off at 9:30 and can’t wait till 10 pm, can you get here faster? ”. I explained I was driving as fast as I could and 10 pm is what the GPS was estimating. He then explained that since I had a one night stay they would not be able to allow a late check in because, “we need a credit card to swipe. ” At that point he said I should find another hotel and he had to cancel my reservation. This was 8 pm, on the way to Fort Lauderdale Florida during the first week of Spring Break. I was very upset and asked him, ‘Are you f….

Great hotel and the owner is very inviting. The rooms are nice and the pool area is fun. The location is great because there are a lot of local spots nearby to visit. I would come here again.

I reserved a room 6 months in advance for an event I was attending in Miami. I arrived at 5:30PM with my baggage to a locked office door with a number to call for emergencies. I called the number up saying I'm ready to check in and they told me they weren't taking anyone else today. I said I had a reservation months in advance and they said there was a disturbance from other guests and that was why they weren't letting anyone in even with my reservation. Luckily I had some friends staying across the street that I was able to stay with but when I called 3 other hotels up all were booked so I'm not sure what I would have done without my friends besides sleep on the beach. So don't book here unless you want to be stranded without a room, even with a confirmed reservation.

Its kept quite clean and there is a pool. It is not very fancy but the rooms are also slightly bigger than most hotels I've been to. I do like the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. And also it's in a location near 2 markets within walking distance. Also the rooms do have kitchen supplies. All in all it is a good place for what the price is.

The motel had cockaroaches in them but it wasn't as bad as my other motel experience on this strip last year. The staff was friendly but seems like they didn't know much to fix things. The pool's filter wasn't on but it was clean. When we first arrived the original room that was suppose to be ours had a broken fridge so the manger decided to have us check out another one. The second one we looked at had a decent fridge that was working. The beds were clean but our shower curtain was disgusting and our bathroom sink was clogged. We had to ask them to clean and fix them. The staff was really nice and the beach is right there. It wasn't a far of a walk (flamingo ave). Stayed in room 305.

More of a motel than a hotel. For a motel it is very clean. The person at the desk was very nice. It had an old fashion-window style-AC. Had a little-bit of a musty smell when you arrive. It does not have many amenities, including shampoo, tissues, nor vending machine. The bathrooms looked like an old-style home bathroom. Did have a cute bookself where people leave/donate books. Has a nice a lot space with lots of storage space.
