I love staying in lodging inside national parks. We sat on our balcony and just loved star gazing. We enjoyed the food in the dining room. We had a great time.

Its elevation is 8, 000 I fell a little sick but it is so beautiful. I would recommend it.

The rooms are extremely basic… not exactly a hotel room, but the location and restaurant were fantastic.

I would recommend but two disappointments. 1/Cabin was small and not exactly soundproof so one could hear next door getting ready very early in the morning! 2/Promise of a brilliant night sky not quite up to expectations due to the door lights on each cabin remaining on all night. Unless you were in the front row with nothing in front it did spoil it — could do with movement sensor lighting. So apart from that Ok.

Perfectly located accommodations for your stay in Mesa Verde National Park. Vista from our room was amazing. Our room had two queen beds, forced air condition/heat, about 3-ft tall fridge, complimentary coffee/tea, coffeemaker and hair drier. The bathrooms are functional, stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers and pretty good quality too. Sheets were clean and fresh. Not fancy, but perfectly serviceable and decent. I enjoyed my stay a lot. Recommend staying two nights — there’s a lot to see!

Beautiful lodge that far surpassed our expectations. The rooms are lovely — condo style and most with incredible views. There are three restaurants, one a fine dining restaurant that was more than happy to cater to vegetarian needs. The hotel is also pet friendly, although Mesa Verde National Park does not allow dogs except on Wetherill Mesa trails.

Beautiful lodge to stay at if camping isn't your thing. The view from the hotel is amazing! It's located in a good central location. The rooms are very clean! Parking is available right in front of your room. The restaurant associated with the lodge has fantastic food!

We stayed one night in room 235. Pros: stunning vista from the balcony. Comfortable beds, clean room. Friendly staff. Cons: I could hear our neighbors walking and their baby crying and their door slamming — bring earplugs. Also, when we asked for a suggestion at the front desk for what to do with 3 hours to visit, she referred us to the Spruce Tree house ruins and museum nearby. She forgot to say that the ruins have been closed since 2015 to self tours and the next available appointment was 4 hours later. And the nearest walkable ruins were a 90 minute drive away. Please train the staff to mention the closure.

It’s a National Park hotel so it’s good for what it is. I’ve been to plenty of them and this one is good. Most of the rooms sit on a slope which provide great views of the valley. The rooms were kinda clean. Basically the major areas of traffic were clean. Corners were not. I found dust, dirt, and a dead spider, but it’s a National Park in the middle of the wilderness so this is kinda expected. Overall I had a good experience with the cons I mentioned but as I said it’s a hotel in a National Park so don’t expect a Four Seasons and you’ll be fine.

There are beautiful views! Great food, and mostly clean rooms. There are only a few places in the room that weren't clean, and when we first got the room, there was still garbage in the garbage can. The beds are also smaller that we thought, so it makes for two people to sleep in one bed uncomfortable. But the guest service has been great, and they have been very accommodating to our constant requests and questions, making it a great stay.

This place was great to just get away. No phone reception so no distractions from Mesa Verde which is absolutely a MUST SEE. The lodging and food were great despite being 7, 000 ft from sea level. Good customer service for the most part. If I'm back on the southwest again, will strongly consider coming back again.

The room is spacious and neat with great view. We enjoyed the park lot and it was nice to stay inside the park. The only thing is there was no hot shower in our room. There is only warm shower available. If you like taking a real hot shower like me, it is probably to check with them first. Also they messed up with the ad shampoo and conditioner containers. Apart from that, it was an enjoyable stay.

Totally love this lodge. A great place to just get away from the rush. Feels like you are on top of the world. Tours are great, guides very knowledgeable. The history of the Publoens Indians and how they lived. Wow. Will be returning next year.

4 1/2 would be better. Very friendly staff. Nice size room that is clean. Coffee maker, small fridge, iron, with ironing board. Small balcony with 2 chairs and small table. Ice machines spread out around the lodge. Nice lounge. Little pricey but not bad. Rooms could use a little bit of touch up, then it would be a solid 5. Definitely would recommend and would come again. Wi-Fi is hit and miss, and no TV in room, but in a way is nice to get away from that stuff once in a while. Bed was great, pillow was ok. Walls are a little thin, but our neighbors were pretty quiet.

The walls are thin, but I'm not a problem. The bed is comfortable, the coffee in the room is delicious, the shower is clean, Indian style blankets. Great place!

The rooms are exactly as stated. I over looked the note saying "No TV's" I found that to be a little strange for a Hotel environment. Also there room Wi-Fi is Honorable! the 3 days I was there we only had connection maybe 6-10 hours. The dinning was excellent! with a new menu. We took the 700 tour and our guide was Holly, she was AWESOME! Thank you!

The view is wonderful and the rooms are nice. I stayed there one week after the winter break. I felt a king bed was important. This was only available via the own homepage. At check in it was a room with 2 queen beds. I complained to the front desk. A new room was not available but 2 vouchers for breakfast. I have geaergert anyway because otherwise I could also book on another website Guenstiger. Then the toilets was defective and I was wondering if the rooms were properly controlled to the opening or Whether housekeeping is not the sink betaetigt. The sink I have repaired with a safety pin that holds sure the next few years. The meat for dinner was not good, but the margaritas. Unfortunately there is no choice in the park!

Outstanding Place! The view is out of this world! The service is excellent. The rooms are clean and well designed. The restaurant is excellent in terms of food and service. I recommend you stay at this place if you plan on visiting Mesa Verde.

Absolutely loved our stay here! We brought 4 children, on being a exchange student from Germany and they enjoyed being in the park and part of the experience of Mesa Verde. Saw one of the most spectacular lightening storms I have ever seen. I can't wait to return!

The accomodations are no-frills, but I would rather stay here over more finely appointed rooms. The views are amazing. We had an amazing time sitting on the deck watching deer graze below us, watching a fantastic lightning storm in the distance, and watching the visits that seeming went on forever.

Without a TV, you have the opportunity to experience pure nature here in the park. You have a gigantic view up to the ship-rock. I felt the sunset here as an experience. There is also a good restaurant in the area.

I stayed here in September with my family, including my 2 toddlers. It is a beautiful lodge with amazing views (see picture from the parking lot right outside our room). It is rustic, but very comfortable. Parking is right outside your door. Everyone staying in the lodge was very quiet and respectful despite it being full. The rooms feel very private. I love waking up in the park and being close to all the trails. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again while visiting MVNP.

Nice Lodge, everything there, it lacks nothing. For breakfast 5 minutes walk makes you awake and is a walk through a piece of nature.

Very convenient location for Mesa Verde as it takes about 30 minutes to get into the park. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had a great view of the mesas and valleys from a high point in the park. The lounge has a decent selection of food and drinks for dinner. The staff is all very friendly. Would definitely recommend to visitors of Mesa Verde!

Beds are comfortable, very spacious rooms. Love the hardwood floors. Great location if you'll be exploring Mesa Verde for a few days. Be aware that the fire codes only allow a max of 4 people per room no matter what, so bigger groups will need to get multiple rooms. Found a live mouse running around our room during our stay and were told to "just deal with it" because there "wasn't any maintenance staff on duty", however they did move us to a new room. The staff was not rude during this exchange at all, but it was fairly inconvenient at 1 am to move everything, as we had to repack the entire car with all of one of our members college items. Additionally, they seperated our party during the move, further complicating our situation. While I happily give credit to the staff for trying their best, it was an overall disheartening experience and we will not be returning. **update** they refunded us for 2 nights on one room, one night on the other. Very grateful, good customer service. Would be 4 stars if it weren't for the mildew in the shower.

Buildings, rooms and location are great here. Very convenient for visiting sites within the park. Customer service is laughably poor at all of the food centers. Clearly none of those employees want to be there and don't really want you there either. Best to use the rooms and bring your own provisions.

A magical place in 2500mt of height, beautiful panorama. Basic rooms, no TV, a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Inside the Mesa Verde Park, to see!

We have a room with an awesome view! Updated, for the most part. Friendly and helpful staff. Great food in the Lounge. Good parking. Convenient to all the sites and activity.

The location can't be beat right in the park and with great views. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Rooms definitely need an update though and the showers are VERY small. Overall, it's a good place to stay if you're in the park overnight, but don't expect a lot out of the rooms.

The location is awesome, the view is amazing but the rooms would need maintenance and a more accurate cleaning service.

The place is beautiful, but the price for the room is high. The rooms are dark, no TV, Wi-Fi works through once.

I had a question about my room reservation, the women at guest services was less than helpful, best she could offer was to roll her eyes, The room I reserved was not the room I was given,,,,,,,, The Park itself is awesome, really good experience otherwise,,,

Was disappointed for the price. Our balcony was pretty flimsy we did not feel comfortable sitting out there which was too bad beautiful view. The next day tried to shower but had difficult time because shower head pointed to wall and could not ne adjusted try as I might.

Got double charged for the 700 years tour ate breakfast in the formal dining restaurant and they did not know how to use our vouchers provided by them on check-in was told they didn't know how and the manager was just fired so no one else could help called today to take care of the double charge for the tour phone call 1 15 minuets on hold then hung up on. Call 2 asked to speak to the manager put on hold for 7 minuets herd some one pick up the phone and talking in the background then the statement what do they wante to do. Then hung up on again. Call 3 asked for the mangers name was told Shawn and I will be contacting the regional office of Aramark Leisure on Monday hopefully they will be better than the lodge but would not advise staying there in the near future.

A great cozy place to stay so that you don't have to leave the top! We stayed for only 1 night but felt that was enough as we wanted an early start on the exploration of the area. Staff is extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, offering great parking and beautiful outlooks on the surrounding area!

Summary based on one single night stay in a top level, more expensive Kiva Deluxe room — note that many reviews seem outdated or just plain wrong, but this may be based on occupancy or the room level we booked — exterior corridors — no noise from adjacent rooms as many reviewers noted — free, just fair wireless internet — free parking — no breakfast options except restaurant in off season. $13.95 for buffet. — stellar view — ok service — lodge reception had strong disagreeable odor, which was somewhat dissipated by the next day — lounge is a better, less expensive dining option Recommended.

As stated by others, the location is the key here. The rooms are quite small and there aren't TV's, however there's a fridge and coffee maker, hair dryer nice linens.

Beds comfortable, Sights pretty but there was a huge squished bug on the wall a needle in the bed (sewing) and food was good but what do they think a navajo taco is they put Feta on a navajo taco and your not a priority.

Three words: location, location, location! We stayed in the Kiva rooms which have upgraded furniture and mostly matched what is shown on the lodge's site. While a touch small, they space was laid out well and also had a nice little balcony with a 3/4 view of the mesas and canyons of the region. The room could probably have used a little updating, but it had a nice feel. Considering the location, the prices were very reasonable and saved us hours of drive time for a two day stay at Mesa Verde. Two things I did not like about the room. The first is there is one extra outlet, so we had to unplug everything in the room to accommodate charging phones and tablets simultaneously. For future guests: bring a power strip. The Wi-Fi is atrocious and a false promise. I would stay here again, that is a no brainer when measuring price, location and time.

The only thing this place has going for it is location. The rooms are very dated, no a/c, no t. V. No microwave. Very limited food options, and at the hotel restaurant, is expensive and you have to make a reservation for an almost empty restaurant. No vending machine to get soda to take to your room. AND all kinds of poison ivy all over the place like it was part of the landscaping. And the price of the hotel does not include entrance to the park. All in all I would not recommend staying here. Stay in cortez or another town close by that has all the amenities and a pool. One of the worst places we have ever stayed.

It's in the Park. Rooms are very small and dated, but it is on the Park. Staff is helpful. Food venues are limited, but it's in the Park. When you have a monopoly, being the only hotel in the Park, you don't have to try hard and that shows. But you can get by with this one. Just remember why you are there.

The view and location are great, but the accommodations are quite dated.

Unique location in the middle of the Mesa Verde National Park, by the standard forth our opinion but struggling and run-down: defective window was sealed with newspaper makeshift and will not open, scratched furniture, ventilation grilles rattled loose door wind so loud that we could, etc. Hardly sleep on the first night We had the itself better standard of Kiva. In the hotel there is no breakfast, SB — café with charm of a renovation-needy Mensa in 500 m distance. Restaurant at the hotel with higher price level and according to our taste only moderately well.

We went there yesterday. The service was good and the food was good. The view was very good and the restaurant is located at the Far View Lodge inside Mesa Verde National Park. The restaurant doesn't open until 5pm. We ordered 1 Prickly Pear Margarita $10.1 Mtn Dew $2. 1 Soup du Jour $6, 1 Cheese Fries $9, 1 Mixed Grill Dinner for 2 $44, and one special C anolli $7. The Mixed Grill dinner for 2 was tasted very good but it was too small for 2.1 Boar Sausage, 1 Quail and 1 small piece of Elk Tenderloin. With squash and mashed potatoes. The food tasted very good but the portion was too small for 2 people. I gave a 3 star rating because of the size of the meal. We would have been better off for just a few dollars more each gettung out our meal and not one designed for 2.

Great lodging. Conveniently located in the park and next to the Metate restaurant or Far View Terrace cafe/shop. Beautiful view, clean, spacious, very friendly staff. I wouldn't stay anywhere else for visiting Mesa Verde.

Beautifully located with stunning views from the mesa top. The food was excellent and staff friendly. A great place to watch the wildlife and the landscape change with the rising and setting of the sun.

Rooms with a view. No A/C, but none really needed. No TVs, but beautiful views and sunsets. Nice staff and good dinner options. One night in the Metate Room with an excellent meal. The next night we went to the cafeteria at Far View Terrace to buy salads and a bottle of wine that we enjoyed on our balcony. It's not the Ritz, but you are in the middle of SW Colorado after all.
