Empire Lakeshore Inn is clean and their pictures and description are honestly true, so you can trust what you see and read about the Inn. The beds are comfortable and the room had exactly what we needed for a long weekend stay. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again.

We had a very nice Stay, we came in on a Thursday and left on Sunday 3 night's… the hotel room was very nice everything was just as stated on the website, bed was very comfortable, nice heating and a/c, TV was nice after a long day of being out and about to be about to sit down and watch a show… nice mini fridge and microwave. We left our room just as we found it when we got there nice and Clean! 10 out of 10 very pleased with our Stay.

The only thing they did was make up the beds and empty the garbage cans. Not real courteous as to my handicap situation, granted I was not originally booked on this trip but the attitude was in poor taste. The room was booked in February, not knowing there was a new hotel built across the street, we thought we were in that hotel. they need to do better at explaining where the office is for check in.

Went during off season recently, so it wasn’t busy yet they put the only other guest right above us so we heard everything from loud music after 9pm from them to stomping on floor to hearing them talk and flush toilet and use sink. These rooms do not have a toaster oven or even a plunger, rusty towel rack holders, bathroom fan was extremely dusty, loud squeaky fridge, dirt stain on comforter, poor draining in tub, old drafty windows, door latch barely latched.

I’ve stayed here several times before and been pleased. This time, I reserved a single king room, two weeks in advance, directly from the inn’s website. I confirmed my reservation by phone in the morning before check in. When we arrived, we were assigned a room with two full (definitely not queen) beds. I was told that there were no king rooms available as others had checked in first. The room was on the first floor next to the office and very noisy. It sounded like there was a washing machine running on the opposite side of the wall. The room was clean and the location is great, but I won’t be staying here again.

At first I had a feeling like the motel won’t be good enough because its a country side motel far from interstates. But the room is so clean and I am very much satisfied with the room. If at all I wanna say something negative then that would be lightning in the room rather than that every thing is perfect.

They were awsome and let us in at 10 front desk was wonderful. But no hair dryer lol.

Simple but clean room. Enjoyed walking to/from beach for sunset and dinner. Close to the Dunes and Glen Lake.

Very clean, updated, new and fresh, cozy. We loved it for a couple of days during a family vacation while we were waiting to check into a cabin. The owners really care about making it a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Great customer service from Mark. He told my gf and I a few cool places to go to in town and sight seeing. My gf and I got here on a weekend, had so much fun from the help of Mark we left and came back the next day to just finish up our vacation here in town.
We will be coming back! Great prices. Comfortable king bed!

Nice cozy hotel with more than a fair price. Heat worked great, shower was great, beds were cozy, had a decent fridge, but most of all, customer support was top tier. Our car caught on fire en route, and we were able to change dates without any hassle whatsoever, we changed rooms super easily (we were indecisive), and before we left, super star Mark was out clearing off cars. Next time I'm in the area, there's only one place I'll be staying.

Stayed in the Fall of 2014 to check out the area during the leaves changing. Great place to stay. The rooms do the trick, nothing fancy, but hey what are you looking for. Flat screen TV, a mini fridge, and great soaps. Yeah I said it most hotels you stay in the soap sucks and theirs along with the shampoo were great. But all in all this little hotel is in a great location. During our stay we headed to Traverse City for a day, Frankfurt for a day, and headed up to Glen Arbor a couple times to enjoy their nightlife. All of these drives are easy and very scenic. Now for the dunes, make sure you check out the National Lakeshore scenic drive. It is outstanding, especially the main lookout point over Lake Michigan. You will not be upset at all that you stayed at Empire Lakeshore Inn or that you chose this charming area.

Very quaint Inn within walking distance of beach and short drive from Sleeping Bear. It is a little pricey but it is hard to find inexpensive lodging in this area. The town of Empire is the perfect getaway.

Great location close to Lake Michigan, places to eat, trails and sight see. Room was very comfortable. Planning to go back.

Nice cozy small town hotel to stay and enjoy serenity. The manager there is super friendly and always available. There is no elevator because it only has two floors, people with accessibility needs may ask for main level rooms so no need to use stairs. It is located right in the middle of the town, closer to grocery store which is expensive, and also three restaurants nearby. Short walk to the lake to see sunset views. No breakfast or room service food available. Room had a TV, microwave, fridge, and a kitchen sink. Bathroom was clean.

This place has been home away from home for me for many trips. The owners are always here and the run a tight ship. Always good.

The inn is a quaint and unique place to stay. It is clean and homey. The owners and employees are personable and strive to make your visit awesome. It is close to shops and the beach.

We stayed one night on second floor. Manager was great. Room was nice, nothing lacking. Hotel is slightly dated, but it's a small town. I'd highly recommend staying there. It's very close to the dunes.

This hotel is in a good location in Empire, near the Village Beach and walking distance to everything in town. The rooms are clean and warm and this is a nice place to relax.

What a great find. We decided at the last minute to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes and made a couple calls the Empire Lakeshore Inn to inquire about the area. Mark was extremely helpful and we made the decision to stay there. So glad we did. Clean and comfortable room. Super convenient location. And when my wife realized she left her hair dryer at home, Mark saved the day and found a loaner for her to use. We couldn't have been more pkeased with the service and experience. Usually the hotel/motel is just the place you stay but in this case it was the exception to that thought. It was what made the stay mist enjoyable. Great information about the area, comfortable (on the firm side) beds, good shower, mini fridge and coffee maker. Worth the stay and when we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again! Great place, stellar location and price. The people that work at the hotel are very friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone traveling to northern Michigan.
