Loved this hotel! We stayed here when we were staying in Durango. It's not walking distance to much, but it's a 5 min drive to anywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend.

Seemed like a very nice hotel upon checking in. But there were issues. First, our room had dried blood around the toilet! The front desk women came to check and confirmed that it was in fact, blood. We were moved to another room, but having an experience like that makes you wonder if things are really as clean as they seem. In the morning, the room service people banged on the door even though we had a do not disturb sign up. We had a little one sleeping and it woke him up! Bottom line, not worth the price. I've stayed in much cleaner and better hotels that were cheaper and had lower star ratings. We weren't compensated at all for our experience with the cleanliness. Very disappointed. Edit: the hotel manager contacted us and kindly compensated us for our experience.

First time at this location and couldn't have been happier! I love that they accept pets and they don't charge. I was so happy with my room and it was very clean including the bathroom. Hotel staff all very friendly. The outside area where I took the dog to do his business was nice. Now the important stuff, coffee and breakfast! Make your own waffles haha! The waffles were so good! There were other things like cereal, danish and fruit but I stuck to waffles. Their coffee was very good and they even had hazelnut creamer. I could go on but all-in-all I was very pleased with my stay. Already thinking about my next trip out!

This hotel was very clean and welcoming. We stayed there several nights and were treated very well by all the staff. They cleaned the rooms wonderfully everyday we asked. The linens were fresh and clean! The pool was fun and welcoming. The location was out of downtown, but easy to see from the road. The roads to get there were not driving friendly, if you go the Google map way:) You had to turn left at a right hand turn only! Luckily it's not a very frequently travelled road, it's more of a parking lot area. The parking was great too. The only thing we didn't enjoy was: we had wanted rooms near each other, but because of handicapped accessibility they put one room on the top floor far away from the elevator (the handicap accessible one) and then the other one halfway down the next floor down. It wasn't too inconvenient, but a slight nuisance. We really enjoyed the stay and were very happy with the pricing and the hotel itself!

Stayed at this hotel April 6&7. Over all well kept hotel very clean. Comfortable beds but pillows to puffy, Not good for neck. Was excited to try free breakfast but very disappointed when my daughter and I found hair in our eggs. Lost appetite immediately! PLEASE beware of scammers we received a call on room phone 309 at 6:30 am by a man stating the hotel system went down and working to recover our information that was completely lost. He asked for our credit card and stated for the in convince he would give us a 10% discount and no need to go to front desk he would take care of it over the phone. We ended up hanging up on him and immediately went to the hotel office and they knew nothing of system going down. I asked the lady Jessica to delete our credit card and called our bank for security checks. This incident was unexpected and unfortunately unpleasant call but this very dumb ass person calling thinking he could rob us did not ruin our day BUT I am sure we did his!

It's a new hotel and the room was pretty spacious. The lobby is very beautiful with great use of bright paintings and bright colored furniture. Pros — Rooms are new with good furniture. Breakfast buffet was also nice and they have ample parking space. Cons — hotel is not at walkable distance from main market and restaurant area of Durango. Though by car it's still near.

A newer La Quinta and it looks the part. Nice room, great shower, and the gym had more than enough equipment to keep me busy. We had a view of the mountain which was great to wake up to. Easy to get to the center of town (small town). Very accommodating to our pet as well. There's a trail nearby (Animas River Trail) which is about 9 miles and goes from across the street all the way to the center of town. It's paved so you can walk it fairly easily if you choose but if not it's great for a morning run.

Since I have two dogs I stay exclusively at La Quintas, and this is my third stay at this Durango hotel. My other two stays were wonderful. This one is okay, but not great. Loud room, and we hear the outside door bang constantly. The rooms are spacious and nice, but we got a handicap room, so the features are just weird for us since we don't need it. One of the house cleaning ladies is kind of rude and always seems stressed out, and some of the desk people will give an eye roll. But most of the desk folks are friendly and the manager whom we've spoken with our other stays is really great. Low rate and pet friendly makes it a decent hotel.

Very friendly staff! The breakfast was very good, hot, and fresh. Our rooms were spotless and I loved that our dogs could spend the night in the rooms with us.

Staff was really nice. Breakfast was constantly restocked, never really had to wait long for something to be refilled. Enjoyed out stay. The night staff even ran up milk for my toddler which was so nice not having to run to the store in the middle of the night in the middle of winter. Rooms were very clean and the view was nice. Not far from downtown Durango.

I don't usually stay at hotels but when I do. I like La Quinta. maybe it's their advertising. Maybe it's the name. But I choose this over others more often. rooms are comfortable and it was nice to have a comfy bed and a hot shower while staying in Moab. ample parking and even parking for a truck and trailer. As a commercial trucker it can be hard finding a place to park in towns. This is one of the very few locations that a trucker can park legally in Moab. It's worth the money to stay at the hotel so you can go sight seeing in this beautiful place. not sure what continent is known for breakfast cereals and milk. But heck. If that's continental I'll pretend it means it's fancy.

It is pretty much brand new. It was relatively inexpensive. It is in a decent location. Couple of miles from town and it had a free decent breakfast.

Hotel was beautiful & clean with nice amenities. The breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had various items — waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and sausage, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, and a great selection of drinks. The coffee was the only thing I wouldn't recommend. Pool was small but clean and warm, hot tub was nice, and lobby was welcoming and nicely decorated. Staff was super friendly, will definitely be back.

Very nice rooms. There are no bathtubs only showers but everything else was great. Delicious free breakfast and beds were cozy and clean. Hottub area was very quiet and relaxing. Staff was great. We had a great stay here we stayed another night.

We arrived and received a to ok m on bottom floor that was very clean. Easy access for me having two small children with me. Breakfast was great, service great, pool area wonderful and fun. No complaints at all. Everything was great.

Staff was awesome and room was fabulous, only problem was when we went to the pool during hours of operation the hot tub was freezing due to they changed the water right before opening. Suggested that pool maintenance be accomplished after pool hours so that the facilities can be enjoyed by guests. Hope they take the suggestion.

Second time visiting this La Quinta. Room was very clean as expected. The shower spayed water pretty much everywhere but was manageable. Maybe I want tired enough but the bed didn't seem as comfortable as last time I visited, again very manageable. Overall positive experience and will likely return again next time I travel.

The rooms were perfect and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay that much better. We were in town with family and they were more than accommodating to us, they even helped us all get on the same floor. The hotel was beautiful and breakfast was amazing! We will definitely be back!

Clean and quiet with polite folks working behind the desk. I would stay there again if I was passing thru. Also, they share a parking lot with a movie theater and the local mall is right next door.

Great place to stay. Our room was one of the bigger rooms due to having 4 kids with us. 2 qweens pull out bed and 2 tv's great set up. Kids watch cartoons and parents was what they want. Close to the river and quick drive into main part of town. The breakfast provided was good busy but for included in your stay why not take advantage of it. We will stay again next time we are here.

Beautiful hotel with a fresh remodel. Excellent service and care. Rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. Mini fridge and microwaves in room. The breakfast is a sad affair though, so go elsewhere.

Nice place to stay, with free parking, Wi-Fi, gym and a small swimming pool. All rooms have nice view of the mountains or the city. A little difficult to get access to because the road around designed not user-friendly.

Nice, new hotel located on the south end of town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was typical of a la Quinta.

Absolutely one of the finest hotels and staff that I found. In a beautiful location right next to the river in Durango how can you beat it.

LQ rarely fails in delivering a nice & welcoming stay with your furries. This hotel is brand new and the rooms VERY nice and comfortable. The staff was wonderful, the pooches had sweet dreams and we would definitely stay here again. The pet area is large off to the side of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, awesome rewards program. Oh and the best dog friendly hotel chain on the planet. Love this location!

Rooms are very nice. Fast friendly service. Great place. We stay at La Quinta when possible.

The room was good, comfortable and clean. There were 6 pillows on the bed, but rather than different kinds (firm, soft, feather), they were all big and firm. Choices are nice. The continental breakfast did not have the variety we have been used to at La Quinta. It was rather disappointing, but the room was good and the people at check-in were great.

Stayed 5 nights. Very clean and comfortable with easy driving access to Durango and surrounding mountains. Finding the entrance is a bit tricky. Staff were great.

So clean and well kept. A great Escape for us after camping for several days. Would highly recommend and absolutely would return. Staff was very kind and helpful.

The hotel was beautiful. Beds comfortable. We had a issue where we were traveling with a baby a needed a good nights rest. The fire alarm falsely went off early in the morning waking us and the baby. Without much concern or help from the staff. Paying that much and not getting the good nights sleep we needed was disappointing.

Great service and newer rooms even though the fitness center was lacking; would stay there again.

Nice rooms and good price especially for someone traveling with a dog. Plus they were almost full up and went out of their way on the service side to accommodate me.

I just flew back in to Houston from Durango and enjoyed my stay in Colorado. La Quinta and its staff was excellent in every way. My first choice was super 8 but I learned a lesson on trying to save a buck. It's true when they say "you get what you pay for"! Staff was excellent! They always said hi and bye, asked how is everything, even the kitchen lady was always nice and saying good morning during our breakfast experience. I noticed it was a pet friendly place for those with dogs. Hotel was very clean which is the reason I cancelled my reservations with super 8 and ran to La Quinta. My room had an awesome view of the small mountain and Allen theatre, also walking distance to the river. I found 1 review on here that complained about noisy people next door. That is no fault of the place you stay in just the chance that we take when we travel and stay at certain places if you want privacy rent a cabin, home, or sleep in the vehicle. I had some troubled moments when I stayed at La Quinta but is it there fault? Nope! I didn't like when this lady kept blowing her nose while I was eating breakfast but it's my choice for staying in a public area with others who are raised different. Thank you La Quinta and staff for making my family and I enjoy a wonderful stay in your beautiful state you gave us some wonderful memories!

New motel. Great staff, every one I saw. Price too high for the area.

Newer hotel and it showed in the new fixtures and look. However staff was still very professional and accommodating as if it was an older hotel. The large size of the room surprised me.

Great service, clean, fancy bathroom, nice clean bed. Only slight disappointment was no shampoo/conditioner just bar of soap and I came unprepared.

Loved the front desk staff and management, very friendly. New hotel with attractive rooms, pool, workout facility. Best part: just a stone's throw away from the gorgeous river walk! Beautiful scenery!

Indoor pool was nice and clean. After a long day of driving relaxing in the jacuzzi was incredible. Pet friendly with a large pet area. Beds were comfortable and felt clean. All for an extremely reasonable price. Would give 6 stars if I could.
