Cool place. Nice people. Great.

All the staff wore masks and tables were well spaced out which made us feel very comfortable on our first inside dining in well over a year. Bartender made an excellent martini and capihrina for starters with the fried calamari. Hubby had the well prepared house salad and flat iron steak (wishes he’d ordered it more rare than medium rare) but for me, a heavenly seared ahi tuna plate. Then for dessert, the chocolate soufflé (order ahead). Cannot wait to return.

We have stayed here a couple times and really can't say enough about how nice it is. Great food and the rooms are wonderful. They have done a marvelous job of restoring this old hotel. We highly recommend this hotel.

Phenomenal dinner coupled with genuine small town ambience blended together with high-end service and quality = incredibly memorable experience!

My husband and I spent a night at the Windsor during our honeymoon and it was so great! The hotel is beautiful (and possibly haunted so bonus! ). We booked the foodie fireworks package and it was outstanding! The food was amazing, it was probably the best meal we had during our whole honeymoon, and the staff was so friendly. I highly recommend going here if you're in the area.

Very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Great find between Denver and Pagosa Springs. Meal was first class, not cheap but well worth it. Del Norte is small. A few hours of sight seeing will do it, but a fun stop on the way to Pagosa Springs. Del Norte’s folks with resources have clearly pumped up this quaint little town and rescued the hotel.

Great time at our Christmas party. Food was great and so was the service.

We only went because it was a work Christmas party. The food was terrible, my chicken was icebox cold and was raw inside. My side was steamed grass, and dried out mashed potatoes. The service was minimal at best. The sad thing was she never asked if my food was ok, considering I didn't get to eat it. Horrible experience. Don't waste your money.

Such a cool atmosphere. Good service and incredible entrees plus a huge wine and drink selection. A wonderful place to relax with friends over a delicious meal.

This is a wonderful place for a get away. Classy, quiet, professional staff, very clean and an exceptional menu for fine dining. Brunch and lunch menu offers variety and interesting options. Feel free to ask the wait staff or chef about specials. I will return often as Del Norte area is great for hiking both BLM and National Forest. Try some river running on the Rio Grande! After a camp out, the Windsor is the best place to treat yourself!

My BFF took me there for lunch when I was visiting from TX. It was wonderful! I had the steak salad & she had burger & fries. Huge plates of food & tasted excellent! We ordered the chocolate souffle for dessert & it was well worth the wait. 2 bites left & I really considered a go bag!

Nice clean place friendly staff nice spacious rooms restaurant on property was good a little pricey but good has a bar. They only have 20 rooms. If you are a history buff then you need to make a stop slot of info about the area and town of Del Norte.

I've dined and stayed at the Windsor several times, and the experience is always consistent. The history and community support (much of the renovation was funded locally) is a great complement to the possible ghosts… The back patio, the bar, and the lobby are all great hang-out spots, and there is often live music and always amazing desserts! It's worth a visit!

Food is a little high tech so I have to be careful what I get, but it's always super good!

Super quaint little hotel in a sleepy town that has amazing mountain bike trails free of the traffic you see on the front range trails. A little gem and a great place.

Wonderful ambience, delicious food. Definitely the nicest place in the valley to envoy a great meal with friends.

I so look forward to my visits to the Windsor, from the vintage designed remodeled rooms to the ABSOLUTELY exquisite dining experience. Marvelous.

If you need a place to stay & are in the area I highly recommend The Wondsor. It's a perfect blend between newer amenities & the history that is clearly contained within. They did a wonderful renovation to bring modern creature comforts without sacrificing the eclectic personality that is devoid at other newer hotels. The service is impeccable & the rooms are outstanding. The restaurant/bar both offer fantastic food & drinks with the personal touch you can't expect from larger establishments. If you're in the area for work or travel & are seeking a place to lay your head consider yourself lucky you can't across this diamond in the rough.

From the outside, you'd never guess the extensive renovation that has been completed on the inside of this very Western and fairly Victorian inn. The room was great. The staff are wonderful. What a great stay.

Went on 2-13-18 for dinner. Wine selection was great, Calamari was good as well. $39 for a Ribeye that was about 40% fat, definitely not worth the price. Will not be back for dinner.

Dinner was absolutely delicious, our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The best was in the morning, they served warm fresh croissants with a blueberry compote. I will never forget those croissants.

Best restaurant in San Luis valley. Eat here if you can.

Had an amazing lunch in a beautiful dining room. The food was on point, elegantly plated, good portion size, and the service was impeccable. The best place to eat in Del Norte hands down. Can't wait to try their supper! This place is fantastic!

Was not expecting how nice this hotel is. Hard to imagine a hotel that old being restored so beautifully. Rooms were lovely and spacious, bathrooms too. Clean, comfortable — lots of lovely natural light from the tall windows. Check in was super friendly and kind. The bar had a great wine, beer and cocktail list — no limitations here because of the size of the town. We ate at the bar (baseball playoffs were on the TV! ) and the food was wonderful.

My husband and I had dinner here last night and the food was outstanding! In typica fashion my husband got a burger which he said was out of this world. I had the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes purée and broccolini, all of it was outstanding! Both of our meals were cooked to perfection, my steak was perfectly rare and my husbands burger was medium which in his opinion, no one can ever get right so he was impressed. The cocktails were amazing and to top it all off the dark chocolate soufflé was to die for! We will definitely be back!

We had lunch in the beautiful dinning room. It was delicious and reasonably priced. It was interesting to see the before and after pictures of the restoration and read about the hotel's history.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Windsor Hotel and eating at their restaurant. It is beautifully restored, the staff made us feel like we were visiting home. The food is top notch and wine and beverage recommendations are on point. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to all visitors in Del Norte. Plus, it's a great night out or event location for locals!

We walked in Sunday morning unaware that we needed reservations for brunch. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating and managed to get us seated at a table when she wouldn't have had to. We had the southern benedict and the salmon flatbread. Both brunch plates were perfection. I'm a local and regularly eat here for lunch during the week. The maple-glazed chicken sandwich is a must-try! A meal here might cost a dollar or two more than what you can find down the street, but it is worth every penny every time.

Loved the Windsor hotel! The staff was so friendly. We were arriving late in the evening and they called to make sure we had dinner before we arrived, as Del Norte it's a very small town and everything would be closed. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Very clean.

As a local who LOVES to eat and drink out, I can confidently say that this is the best place for quality food, mixed drinks, or a glass of wine! Might be a bit pricier than other local establishments, but you definitely get what you pay for. Hailing from downtown Los Angeles, this place rivals many quality restaurants back home! You won't be disappointed.

Excellent service! Excellent food! I ordered the Flat Iron steak and I must say it was the best steak I have ever had. My friend ordered the salmon and I tried some myself. I am not a fan of salmon, but this was very good. This is the best fine dining restaurant in the San Luis Valley!

The food was Excellent. This was the perfect place for date night. The atmosphere was very elegant but not so much so that I felt under dressed. It is a bit on the pricy side but that is reflected in the food.

My father in law had Thanksgiving dinner at the Windsor last year and convinced us to try it this year. We have eaten there multiple times and it is always great. Thanksgiving dinner was no different! It was amazing and such a great experience and delish meal! I would recommend eating there any chance you get.

We have been there several times, most recently for their Thanksgiving meal. The food was fabulous and the service was wonderful. Definitely one of the best places to eat in the valley — never disappointed!

I actually worked at the original Old West Hotel (1977) that is now this beautiful Windsor Hotel. It was built in the 1800's. Hotel rooms were on the 2nd floor, and guests all shared one bathroom down the hall (with a claw foot tub). There was a covered balcony that wrapped around the second floor. The courtyard looks very much the same. What a beautiful hotel for such a lovely town! Good job, Windsor!

Hotel staff was very accommodating for our last minute booking. They were very kind and helpful when we arrived. The hotel was a gem. It had so much history and character. The decor gave off the intended southern ambiance. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of our room, and we even took pictures as a reminder of the special character of the room. I would highly recommend booking. This was a phenomenal, historical experience.

The room and beds were very large. The hotel was rustic with am old fashion fall but very modern in the lighting and plumbing. The staff was very friendly and professional.

We went to the restaurant and that was delicious! We tried the goat cheese polenta, the lamb and the grilled salmon and all were fantastic. We also tried a polenta that was quite original, but good. The waitress was incredibly nice and let me try a lot of beers before I found one I like (in the end we tried the one from Del Norte and it was also good! ). In the end, we had a great evening there and I really advise you to test this restaurant! (and maybe also the hotel? )

This place is beautiful. I'm a Colorado native and I'm pretty particular when it comes to hotels. This place was exceptional. Clean and wonderfully redone with beautiful paintings and great service. The hotel's restaurant was phenomenal. Every small town should have a hotel like this one. So special to celebrate our anniversary here. Loved all the western history. My husband travels and stays here for work quite often but we will be back as a couple as I had a fantastic time.

For being in the middle of a town with almost nothing, this place sure is top notch! Nice, clean facility with great service. Their restaurant was fabulous as well. The beds were pretty firm, but I'm sure some people really like that. Great place to stay if you have to travel down there or are biking or hiking in the area.

We cannot begin to express what a special place this hotel and restaurant is… Our room has all the comforts of home. Our meal from predinner drinks in the bar with the phenomenal bartender Kevin. He's knowledgable and sincere with great recommendations. Our waiter Henry and John were what customer service are all about. I felt like I had been coming here forever. Our meal was one of THE best meals I have ever had. Reagan is beyond wonderful as a chef. Cody treated us like family. Loved the courtyard and jenga after dinner. Put this place on your short list. It's perfect. We will be back again.
