Old Town Inn is a clean, well kept, affordable hotel in Crested Butte that is just a few blocks walk from Elk Avenue. The staff were very friendly, the beds were extremely comfortable and you can't beat a hotel that gives you free bikes to ride around town! The front desk agent gave us a map and some great recommendations on places to check out. We had a blast riding around town on the old school bikes and enjoying this beautiful laid back mountain town. The free breakfast was fresh and probably some of the best coffee I've ever had. I would recommend Old Town Inn to anyone headed to Crested Butte!

My friend and I came for a weekend of hiking and this place was perfect for our stay. Great location and within walking distance to absolutely everything except the longer hike we did, which was the Oh be Joyful Trail. Employees were beyond kind and the cookies and breakfast had a special touch. The rooms were perfect and so clean. This place was/is simple and perfect. We couldn’t have been happier!

Thus was a truly great find! The rooms were clean and cozy. The continental breakfast was far better than any I've ever had before. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again!

I love to stay at this place and have been coming here for 10+ years mostly for work travel. One negative that I just encountered which has never happened to me before is that normally when checking out I was provided a small printed receipt that wasn't itemized. I usually just contacted the hotel at the end of the month when completing my travel claim and asked for an emailed receipt which included all the info I needed for my claim. It was always handled by hotel staff graciously. Minutes ago I called for the same reason and I totally got passive aggressively vibed out. The lady stated, "Well I'll have to print it out and then scan it. " I said, "ok. " I gave her my information. She closes the conversation with, "I'll get to this some time today. " I obviously cannot inflect tone in this review. However, I will say that I am not an idiot and I can tell when someone is trying to make a point. So let me apologize that the hotel's technology is not advanced enough to simply send an email with a receipt attached to it without first having to waste a sheet of paper. Secondly, I will probably stay here again out of convenience but customers are very sensitive to treatment and I will probably try harder to find another option and even pay more based on one small experience where the customer service didn't really have to be so snide in such a passive aggressive underhanded way.

Very affordable. Especially compared to many other resort ski towns in Colorado.

The "Old Town Inn" has been our "go to" place for our annual ski trip to Crested Butte for the last several years. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is located about two blocks off the main drag, but only steps away from the bus stop to the ski resort. A continental breakfast is available each morning, with fresh cookies in the afternoon. Nice little place to stay for a couple of nights. Close to everything by walking or bus. No kitchen facilities. A nice continental breakfast. Very accommodating staff.

I love this cozy, warn, family-run business in downtown Crested Butte! The Inn have a nice breakfast in the morning and cookies in the later afternoon. There are always friendly faces in the lobby and a wonderful atmosphere to come home to. The innkeepers are local to CB and have run the establishment for a good minute. Their pricing is awesome and located adjacent to one of the stops for the free shuttle to take up directly up to the base area of Mt. Crested Butte! Take some time from your normal hustle and bustle to relax in the beauty of the mountains at this quaint, quiet inn.

Very nice hotel with a cozy feel. Close to town and easy to find. We only stayed for one night but the staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and we had no issues. Price is better than most hotels in town but the rooms are a little outdated.

Nice quiet place. Reasonably priced. We were there for a wedding that weekend and had a blast at Crested butte.

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was okay, nothing special. Scenery was spectacular. Would stay here again.

Nice small hotel with free continental breakfast. Room are decent and there is free Wi-Fi and an outdoor hot tub. Close to downtown activities.

Our stay was a last minute trip. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Old Town Inn. They had it all, great location (walking distance to the main street of town, great beds, soft towels and a nice contental breakfast. Oh, did I forget the hot tub, that was great too.

Love the Old Town Inn! After our third stay there it was like going back home. This is not a five star place charging many hundreds of dollars — it is an Inn across from the large city park, with a lovely treed terrace, a breakfast/meeting room, fresh baked cookies each afternoon, a most friendly and helpful staff, homey and tasty continental breakfast. A five minute walk to the iconic old town with its MANY excellent restaurants and shops. And of course, very clean and comfortable rooms with great beds. Make reservations early.

First I travel for a living and have been in all the major hotels. However this place is the best of them all. I had only been there one night yet the receptionist (Peter) knew me by name. The breakfast was amazing. The room was in great shape and bed was compfy. Highly recommend.

Quaint, Cute, and Convenient Stay — This place was absolutely amazing. The staff were the NICEST people ever. We checked in a little late, and Chris at the front desk was as sweet as could be. He gave some great recommendations for drinks and dinner in the area. The hotel itself isn't anything special — typical room with the basics of what you need. The location is perfect, a short walk from downtown Crested Butte, and right at the base of the mountain. Hot tub at night under the stars was amazing, and home made FREE breakfast each morning was a great touch. Would absolutely recommend and stay again when in the area.

Nicest staff! The old town inn was the perfect place to stay in preparation for the grand traverse. We had some travel issues and the staff was incredibly accommodating (thank you peter). Fresh cookies and a common area with toaster and stuff. Short walk to shuttle up to the mountains in friendly CB. Thank you! 100% recommend.

Not to many amenities, but I think the character and the community feel overpowers that.

Totally loved it! Best cookies late at night! And the breakfast in the morning is so sweet and perfect. Home made quiche, fresh fruit, coffee, good tea selection and yummy bites for the kids too! So close to the free bus up to the mountain and I'd much rather stay in town rather than up near the resort. Oh, and they have a hot tub outside!

We absolutely LOVED at his place! Very affordable and simple! I love simple! Breakfast available each morning, very dog friendly, a hot tub, and awesome people! I highly recommend this place.

When our car conveniently broke down in the parking lot of the Old Town Inn, my husband and I had no idea how fortunate we were. Talk about the silver lining of an otherwise annoying situation. We were warmly welcomed to not worry about the odd parking place we'd chosen and instead invited to just relax, eat some cookies, and enjoy our stay at Crested Butte's coziest inn. Sandy and the staff were great — entertaining, knowledgeable, and always available. Breakfast was delightful, coffee good and local, free cruiser bikes for town travel was convenient, and the hot tub was exactly what we needed to help us let go of silly first-world stresses, like broken ignitions. So happy our one-night stay turned into an impromptu three-day romantic getaway. Couldn't recommend the Old Town Inn highly enough!

To start a review with a negative question is taboo (but, hey: I really started it with this disclaimer, so…) I found myself asking my fiancé, "Could these people be any nicer? " And we both agreed the answer is, "No. " From the afternoon we checked in to overhearing the staff being so nice to other folks to the checkout experience, we felt cared for. I even saw the night clerk go out to her car to get an emergency lantern she keeps in her vehicle for the people in the hot tub as they wanted more light. Who does that?! Will be back. OH! There are freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby when you check in. Must mention that.

There are always super friendly folks working here that are very helpful and give the hotel some added charm. The breakfast is a notch about what you might expect here with some nice pastries and yummy quiche that will power you through the morning. If you want to save some money, are comfortable in not having a pristine or fancy hotel, and want to easily walk into town this is a great option.

Caroline was amazing… the cool air in our room didn't work leaving the room very stuffy. Finally, the continental breakfast was week but the staff was amazing!

Booked through Groupon and had a lovely experience. We arrived early and were able to check in early. Rooms are a bit small and nothing fancy, but were clean and had comfortable beds. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Loved the healthy "real food" choices for breakfast and the afternoon cookies were delicious and gave the place a homey smell. We appreciated the laundry access and quiet setting for our little one. Plus they had cruiser bikes available for guests to use to get around town! It makes you feel like you came home to visit your parents in the mountains. Thanks for the great stay!

OPERATED TO PERFECTION! You are foolish if you stay anywhere else in Crested Butte. The management and owners are clearly EXPERTS in customer service and hospitality. The warm cookies in the evening were superb and the breakfast was top notch, oh and by the way both are complimentary. The staff was extremely attentive and recommended 3 Top notch restaurants, of which we ate at all three while we were in CB and were blown away. This was the best hotel experience I have had in 10 years. The rooms aren't amazing but they are very clean, comfortable, and nice. We would sleep in a cardboard box if it was operated by the owners of the Old Town inn, Way to go and thanks so much.
