Review of The Cedaredge Lodge 5*

Disclaimer, I did not pick this place, my husband and I decided to take an extended trip after spending some time in Pagosa and I let my husband pick the place without looking into it (so naturally I was skeptical) well low and behold my husband stumbled on an incredible gem! They say when you come there it is like being home, and let me tell you, IT IS EVEN BETTER than being at home. It may not look like much when you drive up, but the rooms are incredible, you feel like you are in a log cabin, and you are welcomed immediately by the staff, who gives you a tour of the property, there are fruit trees all over the place, which they gladly let you sample, if not a little more :) ) apricot trees, green apple trees, plum trees, and then they have a whole host of games you can play on the grounds, or a hammock if playing is not your thing. My husband and are group played like 4 different games, and had a blast with all of it, and then when we were all done and hanging out in the hot tub, the owner came out to greet us. He was incredible! So sweet, willing to go above and beyond and bring anything we might need. This place was so incredible with the staff and owners and river right behind it, I was sad we only stayed for one night. There is also a lovely local breakfast spot down the road, only a mile. This place was fantastic, my husband truly picked a great spot, and I would go there again in a heartbeat. This place is a diamond in the rough, for sure, and they don't let themselves forget about gd which makes it humbling and meaningful to stay there.
