Let me first say do not be deceived by all the photos online of this place they are fake. I am not even going to post any because I feel they will be deleted by this property. I went here during the summer, summer rate I have to say was very cheap, this should be a red flag. First room we received, I was not in ten minutes, my son wanted to take a nap on the pull out that was a little couch. I proceeded to pull out the small pull out mattress, it was broken and stuck. I could not even push it back in. The fan in the window was so loud you couldn't speak loud enough to think. The small fridge was also broken. Only nice thing about this run down 1970s hotel was that it had clean pressed sheets. The desk associate moved us into another room with two beds, still old and and outdated. This room had paint in large clumps coming off the wall.

I'm not sure where to start. The room felt old like 70's old and unkempt. The lighting was poor, the walls were paper thin and the water has is under no control by the user. Fluctuations in water temperature would scald you one minute and freeze you the next. The bed had no support and left me tossing and turning all night long. The concierge had little to no knowledge of events happening around the village and seemed very uninterested in their guests at all. I wouldn't stay here again if I was paid to. I am curious as to where the positive reviews have come from, maybe in the winter their staff care more about their guests.

Great location. A bit dated but the location right off the hill makes up for it. We went in the summer and all the shops were still open. The concert just up the hill was a nice surprise too.

Our family has been coming here once per years since 2006. In short, Mountain Chalet offers: A+ location, inexpensive and slightly rough accommodations, and great breakfast buffets. All in all, Mountain Chalet has to represent one of the best values nationwide for ski-in / ski-out accommodations. If you want 24/7 room service super-fast Wi-Fi, and lots of on-mountain pampering, try the Viceroy down the mountain.

Perfect location! Pricing was on point. Close to everything you need! Bus station. Food. Fun. All right there. Has a nice hot tub with pool. Beds are super comfy with nice pillows and comforter. Has in room recycling bin. DVD player. Loved the shampoo/ conditioner that was provided. It was a little nicer than most hotel brand toiletries. Right next to the gondola, which is super convenient. Great place!

This place is ridiculous in the off season. I am working in Snowmass and got a room for my wife and I when she came up to visit. The lady at the front desk in the evening was always rude, our "upgraded Sferra bedding" had holes in it, my wife was really looking forward to soaking in the hot tub and there was a new excuse every day why we couldn't use it or the pool. There just seemed to be some excuse at every turn to not care about us or making our stay enjoyable.

Great spot if you come on a ski trip. Walking distance to gondola or free shuttle bus every 15 minutes.

Ski in/ski out is an understatement. This place is literally on the mountain. Wake up, get your free breakfast (mediocre at best but just get a breakfast burrito at Fuel next door) strap on your board or skis and head down the mountain. Apre in the village after a long day on the slopes? The gondola runs until 9pm and drops off right at the Chalet. Accommodations include ski storage, humidifier in the room was a nice touch, and the slope side spa and heated pool were much appreciated. Walking distance to bars and restaurants made the Mountain Chalet the perfect spot for us. Slope-side heated pool and jacuzzi… need I say more?

Great location and excellent staff. Very accommodating. From being picked up at the airport to being dropped off at the airport at the end of my stay. Breakfast and soup lunch hit the spot! Could use an updating, but just fine as is.

Had a reservation at Snowmass Mountain Chalet, upon arrival was bumped to the Snowmass Inn next door. Shower didn't work, faucet was dripping, doors didn't lock… this is a horrible place. Avoid.

I stayed here with my bf for an Xmas gift. It was our first time ever in Colorado. The stay was great! Free breakfast and a soup lunch. Hot tub was nice after a long day on the slopes and great access to the mall. The only thing is the area is very very pricey.

Nice condo units. Close to bus. Can ski in to bottom of road if there is snow.

Ive stayed in better KOAs and the basic room was cramped giving it a doormatory feel. No amenities in the room besides a tv.

Stayed here after Ragnar 2017. They let me check in super early and I'm forever grateful. Friendly staff, amazing location, nice room, awesome balcony. A+

Nice location to stay for quick slope access for skiing/snow boarding. I stayed in the summer and it was great. Not super modern but good for a night's rest in a beautiful location. It is near all restaurants as well. Very friendly staff.

Great little lodge, very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious but a little dated. Location is excellent.

The ad is very miss leading, this is a 2 star motel at best. No a/c and bathroom is a converted closet after splitting a suit to make two cramped rooms. Only breakfast a few months out of the year. Balcony cracked and some completely missing railing, beware! Every room can easily be broken into because there is window fan poorly jammed into the window inches from door lock. Warning Do Not leave valuables in room, any adjoining room can enter your room at there leisure.

I booked this hotel a few weeks in advance for our first ski trip! My wife's grandfather died a few days before we are supposed to leave. We contacted the hotel immediately and even with the circumstances they are charging a penalty of one nights stay with taxes and fees. This is low class. When we booked the rooms were 90% full. The company will have the room filled with no loss to them. It will essentially even be double booked for one night. Great work guys. Get that money.

Magnificent amenities, great location, and very relaxing.

Have stayed here for a week at a time during ski season the last few years. Condos are in a convenient location. With a little walking, it's possible to ski home at the end of a day. Bus service is free, clean, and easy to use to both Aspen and all of Snowmass Village. Grocery store is nearby. The views are generally good, and the rooms vary from beautifully appointed and updated to more dated but still comfortable. In general, Snowmass does not have all the dining and shopping of Aspen, so don't expect it, but for the price you get a lot of space and a very desirable location for skiing.

Very nice room and great location.

Seems like it would be a pretty nice place in the winter. Not so much in the summer. We stayed here for a night in June and they didn't have breakfast, the pool was closed and the bathroom was tiny. Front desk staff was friendly though and seems super close to the ski lift.

The location is excellent, the facilities are clean, good service, free transportation from and to the airport, good free breakfast, soup for free only in winter, spacious rooms, comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children.

Good people for food the skiing snowmobiling the experience overall excellent and what made it better was sharing it with my family and the other families who are out there during that time.

One of the best ski areas in the world. A variety of terrain and apres-ski activities.

Run down. Does NOT look like the pictures. The room was very outdated. Odd layout.

Have stayed here a few times in the summer for mountain biking and music festivals. The location is great, the shuttle convenient, desk staff accommodating to let us get a late check out on a Sunday. For the price, it is great. The rooms are very quiet with the brick walls, and the furnishings and linens more than adequate. Parking is free if you want to walk a few hundred feet, or for a small charge they offered to let us park in their garage.

The absolute worst customer service I have even had the misfortune to endure. We planned a trip to Aspen for the Jazz Aspen Snowmass. Fun. Cancelled 3 days before the show. I called and spoke with Rebecca to see if there was anything they could do. She said no, because of a 2 week cancellation policy. Not only are they unwilling to help out customers in unforeseen circumstances, she was VERY rude and condescending on the phone. I will NEVER stay at this hotel. It's one thing to have poor policies, it is another to have an employee that is so rude and terrible at customer service.

Nothing more beautiful to the eye. Riding on the back of a Harley. Being able to experience 12, 000 feet elevation with breathtaking sights AND the way people that take pride in everyday living.

We booked this hotel in Snowmass specifically for the Wine Festival and Ferrari Car Show. The hotel offered two tickets with our stay to the festival. Upon arrival, we were hastily greeted by the front desk after 10:00pm. He was specific and to the point when getting us checked in. We came back to him after realizing that we had not received our festival tickets. He told us that he could not help us and that we did not have tickets waiting for us. We explained how we booked the hotel because they were offering the tickets and he told us to come back in the morning. The general manager called us the next morning in our room. He said that there must have been a glich on the website and would look into it and call us later. Two hours later, he called us back and told us that tickets would be waiting at the hotel for us but I would need to send him my reservation confirmation as soon as I was able to access my home computer. We were happy with the end result, yet distressed with the hassle to obtain our festival tickets. This hotel is much like a college dorm. The hallways were bland, bare, and dated. The room was much the same. Our room smelled musty with dated furniture, fixtures, and amenities. We would not have stayed here if we would have known that pets are accommodated here. This was exempt from the hotel website. The room appeared clean, the only complaint that I would have with cleanliness is the comforter stains from either makeup or blood.

Wonderful location and fair price next to a big mountain.

We have stayed at the Snowmass Mountain Chalet three years in a row and have never been disappointed. The staff is wonderful and the free hot and fresh breakfast (even in the summer! ) is a great way to start a day of summer hiking. Most of all, the prices are extremely reasonable in the summer — about $99.00 a night usually. We take our dogs with us every time and the rooms they have for their pets walk directly out onto a beautiful green area with flowers and a stream. Amazing! Highly recommended.
