I stayed 5 nights there with my bff on a girls vacation. We loved our room. It was clean and comfortable. We came in early July 2020 and I was concerned about the hotel not having AC. They have amazing ceiling fan and a small one for the bedside table. I actually got chilly. Lol. I never used the pool but it was beautiful as well as all the grounds. If I can make it to aspen again this is the spot! Kindness with all staff members as well. Family friendly for sure.

Tom and James are wonderful. The pool is outstanding. The grounds stunning. The rooms awesome. This was our second year stay on our autumn road trip we take each year. We’ll always hope St Moritz will be open when we come through.
We have stayed at the Jerome and other places in town, but this is the one. I have MS and walking is sometimes a real issue. Having the room they always give us (750 I think) is perfect. So happy they are here!

A wonderful place to stay always feel at home because the staff ate so very kind and helpful. Clean comfortable rooms and beds.

It's a very quaint place, with beautiful scenery! They have a heated pool with jets in the shallow end. They have continental breakfast, and during the winter months they have a place for your skis and snowboards.

We loved our stay at the St. Moritz Lodge, the staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, cozy and decorated with love. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with plenty of options from different breads, cheese, cold cuts, boiled eggs, a big variety of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, etc. Also the garden is beautifully made and tended with colorful flowers and seating that invites to relax after enjoying a swim or soak in the 90+ degree mosaic pool and clearing your sinuses in the steam room. The location is great as well, on a quiet street and only a 7 min walk from downtown.

I was there visiting a friend but the area is nice and I love the heated jacuzzi pool. Employee there was super friendly as well.

$132 total, Tues/Wed, mid August/single room/shared bathrooms (gender specific bathrooms). Rooms with private bathrooms also available. Very clean & comfortable. Would stay again, reception was great, comfy room, nice outskirt location away from the heart of traffic, pretty landscaping. Like a college dorm room, a little room, with shared restrooms just a few doors down the hallway. Delicious, healthy breakfast options!

Nestled away in a corner of Aspen, but still only a short walk from downtown, the St. Moritz Lodge was a thoroughly enjoyable, inexpensive stay. The room was about what you would expect from any hotel, but the property was very nice. Our room looked out over the heated pool and courtyard filled with gorgeous flowers. The reception was always friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

I have stayed at this hostel/hotel several times and in several different type rooms over the years. It's not a fancy place, perhaps 2 star, but clean and comfortable. There is no A/C since there aren't usually but a few weeks of hot weather in the mountains, so hopefully you will not visit during that time. Most rooms have small fans. This hotel is very accommodating to people who bike, backpack or those passing through that only need a one night stay. Some rooms are hostel type rooms with shared restrooms/showers, some have triple beds and ensuite bathrooms as well as hotel type rooms. I have never found a place in Aspen that doesn't require at least 2 nights which St. Moritz does not require, plus the prices are reasonable and more in line with what you get for your buck and even better if you keep in mind you are in Aspen where everything is triple prices in comparison. They provide a meet and greet happy hour usually between 3:00-4:00pm with white wine and cookies. Yesterday, I was a late arrival and I was still offered wine. Tom even graciously opened another bottle! Everyone has always been so friendly and if you come there often, you really feel at home. Even the guests most times are friendly and engaging. The 7am breakfast is basic, with fruit, cereals, bagels, waffles, etc. Coffee is usually provided in the lobby at 6:30am. The staff, Tom, Joel and Michael (who the latter living there 51 yrs somehow tells me he is the owner) are all so very friendly.

My experience at the St Moritz Hotel was way beyond my expectations! The cost was very reasonable, the entire property impeccably kept up, the staff were all friendly and as helpful as they could be. This is a true gem in the heart of Aspen accessible to everything.

Rooms are nice if you don't like having room, have to go downstairs to use the one microwave. Only thing good I noticed is that it was clean.

Has all the essentials, but is definitely a basic "economy" hotel. The continental breakfast is quite nice, rooms are very clean, and they have free snacks and wine every afternoon. I will say the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice and thin, not like those massive pillows you find in hotel chains that give you neck pain in the morning.

Have had an amazing experience at the St Moritz! Owners and staff are wonderfully kind people. Extremely helpful and very knowledgeable of the area for new comers. Breakfast every morning with fresh fruit, happy hour apres ski daily with fun wine and snacks. Largest outdoor heated pool in Aspen with a spectacular view of the mountain. Rooms are comfy and cozy with mini fridge and some have a humidifier which is so key for out of towners. Oh and the location is brilliant… 2 blocks from bus to the Mountains and walking distance to food and shops. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Will definitely stay here for our next visits.

They are a great value to those on a budget. While small rooms, they have all the basics. They do have a small refrigerator. The rooms can get unbearably hot. Has a complimentary Continental breakfast. Heated pool. Hot showers. What more could one want after a day on the slopes? And, it is within easy walking distance of downtown. Super nice people. Loved our stay. The bed could have been a bit firmer, but not too bad. We will be back.

The place is close to downtown and bus stop for free shuttles. The host was very friendly and prompt to replying to queries. Altogether, turned out to be one of the most economical accommodation on Aspen.

Great location, great price, great place! Stayed for 2 nights for a show at Belly Up and some snowboarding, it's a short walk from everything and was a perfect accommodation for 3 people. Will definitely stay again!

It's about eight blocks from downtown. It has a nice heated pool with yacuzzy. Good breakfast. Not excellent… The attention and cleanliness 3 stars! Nothing to stand out. But it's an economic place.! Would.!. It was good for me.

Warm pool, steam room, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi. I'm a very good location and workers are very lovely. If I were to go back to Aspen again, I would totally stay here again.

Wonderful experience! Rooms are cozy and just right. Bathrooms are small but clean and well maintained. The owner was very nice and gave us fun tips. The front desk people were very helpful, informative and kind. Special shoutout to Tom!

Wide price range for everything from basic hostel to queen with private bath. All enjoy complimentary breakfast, cookies in the afternoon and wine in the evening. Heated pool, sauna and VERY helpful staff.

The rooms aren't impressive, but it's kind of a hostel, so they're fine for the price point. Everything was clean, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The pool and courtyard are nice, and it's a 5 block walk from downtown Aspen. Breakfast was good, consisting of lots of fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, cereal, and anything else you'd expect from a continental breakfast. Good deal overall.

A beautiful little lodge, great rooms, heated pool. We visited in the summer, but I'm sure it is better in the winter. Breakfast is so-so, but there is free wine on the house every evening. Location is pretty good — a nice walk to downtown Aspen.

Great and convenient place to stay. Super friendly staff. If you're there in the summer, take the bus to Maroon Bells and hike to Crater Lake. You won't regret it!

Comfortable hostel near downtown Aspen. Walls are thick so it's nice and quiet. Large hot tub and steam room. Staff are friendly. Continental breakfast is decent. This place turns quiet at 10 so don't come here if you want to party.

I had a great experience during my stay at St Moritz Lodge. It was affordable with friendly staff and a very short walk from the bars and restaurants. The rooms where clean and the beds where very comfortable. My favorite amenity would have been the heated pool.

Rooms were clean. Rooms look a little dated, but its not a deal breaker. Only issue we had was the rooms did not have vents, so the room would get stuffy through the night. The lady at the front desk was very courteous during checkin.

In August I was lucky enough to find the St. Moritz in Aspen, via Google. I stayed and was filled with delight knowing that the local hotel prices were $300 and up. My stay was $42. The bed wasn't the most comfortable in a shared dorm-style room but my wallet was. I was able to afford the gas required to drive round trip to Aspen. A complimentary glass of wine was provided in the afternoon. A heated pool when I had planned on going to Glenwood. (saved money in the pool too. ) Delightful. Will I stay again? Actually, I am there in the off season, at the present time. No wine this time, cheaper rate for returning guest, lovely.

This was the cheapest I could find for a one night stay in Aspen. In Aspen nothing is cheap… at all. This place has good rates with nice rooms and an awesome pool. We were greeted by a very nice lady with a glass of wine for us. My kind of place!

Very inexpensive and charming hotel. I had a shared room on a weekday but ended up having it to myself. The bed was comfy and the location is right by downtown Aspen where all of the shops and places to eat are. They have a shared bathroom with one shower but I never saw a line for it. It was a great pic for just coming through Aspen on my way back to Denver, definitely recommend!

The most easy going, unpretentious, affordable and interesting place to stay in Aspen. We are regular visitors to Aspen film festivals and shows at the Belly Up — and this is always our go-to accommodations. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Also, we always meet interesting, unusual people here… and the pool is great!
