Very spacious room and the free breakfast is awesome, also the heated indoor pool is a plus especially in winter.

We spent 3 nights — very comfortable room, plenty of free parking, great food at the restaurant and very polite, friendly and helpful staff at both the hotel as well the restaurant. Overall a great experience for our family.

I have stayed at this motel multiple times, I love the spacious grounds and the atmosphere. The rooms are great. They have a few barbecue’s on property, and we barbecued this visit which was very nice, it was in a little area that had a waterfall and table, so we sat at table and had a drink while barbecuing, had a great time.

This place 86 me without no warning I dident do nothing I asked to talk to the owner and he acted like I didn't exist I spent alot of money at this place it felt like bootcamp all these businesses in oakhurst are really shady I should no I used to live there the guy who weres glasses who works at the bar is awsome tho he needs a raise but the new owner is a real piece of work. I never did anything wrong to this business and I feel sorry for anyone who spends money here if you spend money here leave it to the older gentlemen with glasses who works at the bar he deserves it as far as the owner goes really shady.

I drove here to remember a friend who recently passed. The rooms are quaint. The staff is friendly. There are two pools at the hotel. A workout room and spa. You’d be hard pressed to find a better hotel in the area.

Spacious room — nice view outside — offering free breakfast — cleaning swimming pool and jacuzzi — loved their outside display especially the big bear outside the restaurant — we'll definitely come back again.

Best western has become are first choice when traveling to yosemate. Not only is it a A-1 hotel the staff treat you like family they also offer a free breakfast as a bonus as well a sack lunch to take for your daily travels. Me being a carpenter I love the beautiful beam work, the beautiful trees and deers that pop up in the morning.

My grandkids and I are making this an annual thing coming to Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn. The rooms are nice and clean, grounds are well kept and woodsy and the indoor pool is the best.

Great place to stay really clean rooms and they are pet friendly! really peaceful and quiet! unfortunately their breakfast bars closed down due to covid but they're fresh fruit bowls are really good.

The staffs we encountered were all friendly! Lobby well decorated for Christmas! Enough space for 4 people and luggages in the room! Bed is firm and very comfortable! Enough counter space in the bathroom to share! There’s also a heater in the bathroom! And best of all the free breakfast buffet especially the bacon! It’s still an hour and a half away from Yosemite but we didn’t mind scenic drive! There was snow and rain the day we went to Yosemite! There was nothing to complain!

Rooms and grounds are fantastic — very spacious and scenic. The on site restaurant is equally excellent — food is remarkably creative and tasty.

Very nice hotel. Dottie at the front desk was the best! Very nice lady that helped me out with a room. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. There's a restaurant on site but wasnt able to take advantage of it due to working. The hotel is about 15 miles from Bass Lake and 13 miles from Yosemite National Park. Definitely would go back!

A very nice place to stay, close to nature, with own squirrel pass way. Very friendly and service minded staff all over. Full Wi-Fi on the entire area, even if the area is in different levels

Improvement: Cleaning net at the pools, so guests themselves can make a quick cleaning if needed, many people were using the small pools.

My kids and I loved this hotel. I absolutely loved that it’s pet-friendly since I have a small dog. My son loved the outdoor and indoor pool as well as the hot tub. The quality and selection of food for breakfast was excellent. It is a beautiful hotel and all the trees made it feel like we were at a park. I would love to stay here again.

A delightful hotel to stay at in the vicinity of Yosemite Valley. We had some anxious moments initially as the receptionist was unable to identify the reservation. Rooms are spacious with all standard amenities. Heating and ventilation are available. However, for no reason, power supply to heater tripped after 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the technician restored the same immediately within two minutes of calling the front desk. A novel timer based heating-lamp is provided in the bathroom also. Surrounding is beautifully landscaped.

Positive experience. Both indoor and outdoor pool were wonderful and not busy at all when we went. Breakfast was nice. We loved walking around the grounds. A very unique property build on a hill. Well established plants throughout property. Many great shade trees for kids to play under. Couldn't have asked for a better family hotel to stay at.

This hotel its located in the perfect spot. Its 30 minutes from the south entrance of Yosemite and 15 minutes from bass lake. The rooms are really comfortable and nice they have a bar and restaurant and an indoor and out door pool and spa, so there's always something to do while you visit Yosemite or bass lake. It's close to a shopping center and multiple liquor stores and if you feel like watching a movie there's a movie theater near by.

Best place to stay in Oakhurst! The hotel is larger than expected and very well maintained. The grounds are lovely and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast is excellent! The care of the owners is unmistakable. Highly recommend as an alternative to staying directly in Yosemite!

I had a nice night. The hotel is a bit dated, both the rooms and the gym. Likewise, it is not a great impediment. Breakfast does not stand out but not bad either.

Decent Hotel at the gates of Yosemite Park.

Best hotel stay I've ever experienced. To be fair… this was also my second hotel experience. Great price for all things included. Indoor hot tub and heated pool, free breakfast, and a really nice room. The attached restaurant was great, and their bar served up one extremely tasty Bloody Mary. Friendly staff and overall just a really cool and we'll put together location. If you are in the area and need to rest your head… but also wanna do cannonballs into a heated pool… this is the place you want to stay.

I love staying here. I have stayed at this hotel somewhere around 7 times when I visit Yosemite. It's about 20 minutes from the park entrance and then another 40 or so minutes down into Yosemite Valley. Much cheaper than staying in the park if you're willing to drive. There is a free breakfast that is amazing with many options to give you the fuel to hike all day. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and kept up well and they have two pools, one of which is indoor. Every one is nice and I never have any issues during my stay. It's also pretty cheap if you book in advance enough.

An amazing place in Oakhurst good price comfortable and with heated pool although we touched far back the park is very cute the same as the lobby and the rest that is the same DDE give breakfast! Good hotel chain!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good location, good restaurant nearby. Parking is limited, and I suggest you to get an upper level room. If you are downstairs you will hear people walking upstairs all the time and it gets annoying, walls are thin, can hear others' conversations and children crying. Other than that, I am pleased with my room. Bathroom is clean and bathtub has a non-slip mat. Microwaves, TV, ironing board available in the room. Good lighting and heating/AC. There is an outdoor pool and an indoor pool.

I rarely give 5 star reviews but this place is incredible. I'm actually here right now and giving a 5 star review already for the customer service, scenery and price. First, I'm a Best Western Rewards member and frequent Best Westerns but this one has exceptional staff, from the woman who booked my reservation, to the one who checked me in, to the waitress at the restaurant, all SUPERB! Next, the scenery — JUST AMAZING! So gorgeous! They also upgraded us for free to a suite (because we're reward members), our kids were thrilled to get their own room and the indoor pool and Jacuzzi were perfect. Lastly, the price! Are you kidding me? I almost can't believe it. We are living this stay, thank you BW!

Update: We came back in the area, and I really wanted to stay here. But since this company is one of the ones who removed discounts for NRA members, and my husband (an engineer with a perfectly clean background) is a member, we wouldn't go. We never asked for the discount, but discriminating people for no reason is wrong. Five stars. Clean, spacious room. Great service, with friendly staff. Good breakfast included (you make your own waffles).

I have always had the best service at a best western. This location every one from the day shift to overnight every one I met was so amazing and friendly. I would recommend this place to stay. It had gym, pool, breakfast, online great parking and more. Best western and everyone there thank you for an amazing experience.

We were just eating for breakfast and that was great. You could bake waffles and small pancakes yourself. Delicious.

This was a good stopping point after a long but easy drive from San Diego to Yosemite, saving the curvy, two-lane last leg of the trip for morning. The room was very nice and clean, and set up for a longer stay with microwave and fridge. The bed was comfy, and the free Internet unusually fast. Dinner in the restaurant (bar, actually, because the restaurant was closed by the time we got there) was good and the staff friendly. Free breakfast buffet was just okay. If I stay again, I'll opt for the reasonably priced cafe two-doors down that has a full breakfast menu.

Lots of character at this Best Western Plus! Staff was helpful and friendly, especially Loretta who checked us in and out. Bed was more comfortable than expected and the hotel is quiet (except for our upstairs neighbor). Lovely property with older buildings/rooms that are clean and homey. Breakfast was extensive with choices for everyone. Very good stay!

The hotel grounds are beautiful and the rooms are tucked away in the woods with plants, water fall etc. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Pillows were a bit too big, but we like thinner ones. Breakfast was good and had hot items. The dinner was a bit disappointing but not bad. I would definitely stay again.

The best western was good in shot. We stayed on the first floor, but we were not in the main house. It was also quite good, as you can always hear the tenants on top of the ground floor. The swimming pool is also ok.

I stayed at this location one night in October. When I left the next day, I left my phone charger in the plug in the wall. I called the place a short time later and housekeeping said they did not find anything. LIE! I had to go out of my way and waste time from my vacation to buy one. I will never stay at this chain again and tell other people not to either. The room was not that great either. The next night I stayed in a very nice locally owned place in South Lake Tahoe for a third of the price.

Ran, old, light polite, dirty, worn out, room service extremely unmotivated, fridge sounds like Darth Vader (and that annoys. Hotel lobby is pretending something other than the hotel is. Air conditioning doesn't work. Daily blankets, bed linen and seat furniture very dirty. What a pity. Others were seemingly more fortunate than us. Upon arrival, we were given the choice, between renovated rooms and old ones. Unfortunately, we didn't have our say at all and we ended up in the back of the hotel overlooking scrub. The description touted something much nicer. Preliminary false facts.

This is a great place large rooms and the Landscaping is awesome. They have a workout room free breakfast two pools one of them indoors. And the scenery is the best I would totally recommend.

The Room was comfy, lots of room. We brought our rescue dog & she liked the little patio. We were on the first floor further up the road and we felt like we were in the middle of the woods! I Shopped for tshirts, postcards etc in the lobby then we grabbed some breakfast to go before we hit the road.

The Gateway Inn is a very nice hotel. The staff is friendly, it has all the amenities one could wish for. Wonderful outdoor sitting areas in the early morning or late afternoon to enjoy the peacefulness of the surrounding hill sides. Close proximity to many eateries and has a restaurant on the grounds. This hotel is just minutes from the Hwy 41 entrance into Yosemite. A great value!

The inside and outside the rooms are incredibly clean and beautiful. The outside scenery was immaculate. And the staff was incredibly kind courteous and understanding. We were evacuated from our home due to Wildfire They were the most helpful people ever.

This hotel was more than fine for us considering the location near Yosemite. If this hotel were located in the heart of a bigger town, it would still be okay but priced much better. I think most people would find this hotel to be a good place to spend a few nights especially with the pool, hot tubs, etc for the kids. The property is very pretty. We had a deer right outside our door the first morning.

The Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn is an excellent place to stay when visiting Yosemite. The rooms were very nice, the whole layout of the property was super (water fall, pool, paths with nice foliage). The restaurant was really good — I was surprised about this. I'm not easy on rating hotels, but this one is a winner.

This hotel has everything you need and has amazing rooms. It had an indoor pool, outdoor pool, a great restaurant, a workout room, laundry room and a fun gift shop. It's very comfy and cozy and has nice staff that will cater to your every whim. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a relaxing stay at a great hotel.

The room was way bigger than we expected, perfect for our family of five. The property was also very family friendly with a nice indoor pool, hot tub, and even a playground. It's a drive to Yosemite, but I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Rooms are spacious with a small kitchenette, TV and balcony set within trees. The pool is a bit small but perfectly fine, there is also a hot tub and a second indoor pool. The restaurant next door is lovely and reasonably priced.

We stayed in this hotel two nights. The room was all right and lived up to our expectations. However the rating drops due to the hotel restaurant. We had one of the worst dinners ever there. Food was terrible. The market them self with fresh food, an overstatement for sure. We chicken was dry roasted the potatoes looked and tasted like they were several days old. Expensive as well and not even the check was done right. Concluding the review. It's an ok hotel. But don't eat there.

Had a good stay here, nice and quiet through the whole stay. They have kind of a bizarre gift shop, its quite entertaining to go through. My only dislike was the tourist tax they charged us upon check-out. It wasn't mentioned when I booked the room or when I checked in, so getting an additional daily charge was quite a suprise, especially when I had no choice but to pay it. The lack of tranperancy was dissappointing.

Very good and clean hotel. Were only for a short stop there. There are still about 50 min up to Yosemite National Park. Ideal for someone who makes a road trip. Small Tip: Alice Cookhouse (great food) is about 800m away.

It was a very clean room. The staff were super friendly and helpful in suggesting places to eat. Overall the place looked nice and the murals in the rooms were a nice touch. A little disappointed that some form of breakfast wasn't included considering we paid almost 200 for a room, but not a huge turnoff.

Great views inside the lot. Good amenities and the beds are good. Their fitness room is outdated with no freeweights. I find it odd that they leave the door open when the rooms are vacant. I got a total of 6 bug bites on my overnight stay. Beware.

Great place and the location can not be rivaled. We stayed in a 2 queen room in the upper section of the hotel. It is an older hotel but extremely well kept and impeccably clean. We will stay here again. Oh, and we brought out dog. Very pet friendly!

Clean, big rooms at a good price. Very quiet! Their restaurant needs updating and serve Denny's style food. Inexpensive too. The portions are large and they give discounted breakfast for guests.

Overall nice. Had to walk outside to get to the hot tub (though it is indoors). Front desk and room service were helpful and nice. Restaurant was tasty, $$ price range, very nice lounge room with multiple fire places. The electric Fireplace in the room is great. Great distance from Yosemite Valley.

The check in went smoothly. The room was very clean and tidy, as we have experienced already, other (also Best Western). The bed was comfortable, the location was very quiet. The adjacent Restaurant is also ok, you don't get as a hotel guest 10% discount at the Diner and 25% at Breakfast, where we were at this. The facility is beautiful, the outdoor pool was clean but was not used due to the cool temperatures of us. Conclusion: it Can be Recommended without further notice.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this hotel. The rooms are very good and also very quiet. I will recommend this to my friends. The food at the restaurant is Gr8t. However, Kalen our waiter in the restaurant was a totally Gr8t way to starting our day. He always had a BIG smile to greet us in the morning. He was on the spot with making sure our meals came to us in a timely manner and our coffee cups were never empty. Thanks Kalen for making our stay at Best Western Plus an excellent experience :)

Are currently on a California tour and have 3 days of support in the Best Western Plus in Oakhurst for two nights. The first impression was good, until we saw the room. Old, musty (with two we could have life), and damn dirty. Floor full of crumbs, old French fries, crackers, dirty pillows, hair, hair everywhere, especially in the bathroom. We complained and the new room. The Same Dessaster. The third room with the lady of the Rezepzion and guess what, the same disaster was to have looked at. So the lady is going on and has cleaned a room for us. Traveling with two couples, so a total of 8 rooms were dirty! We have then taken each of the 4 rooms that have been waiting now already 1 1/2 hours. We were promised that the rooms will be made on the next day, again really clean and that is not the Standard. We came again the next evening in our room… Hair and a fingernail in the bathroom, on the floor, Dirt all over. Conclusion: The Hotel is an absolute disaster. Dirty, shabby, musty, and just love. It is probably difficult to suck to be reasonable and to eliminate the things from the guest before. We were just in Sacramento at the Best Western Plus and have another one in San Francisco, everything was top! So another Hotel in Oakhurst or surrounding area!

The lobby is beautiful. The pillows are the worst I've ever had in a motel. Far too firm and far too big. I ended up using the decorator pillow off the couch. Strange toilet seats. I felt like I was in an outhouse. The restaurant food was good when we finally got it. The service was good but the kitchen was very slow. Somebody needs to let them know that it's time for a remodel of the restaurant. The pictures and gaudy frames take me back to the 70's and velvet pictures of Elvis.

I've been to many Best Western hotels around America, but I never thought they could be this bad. Our room smelled so bad that I couldn't even walk in. The staff suggested for us to use fabreeze or find a new hotel… Seriously?!

Our room smelled like someone's grandma died in it. And we couldn't get another room. All we got was a can of fabreeze. Worst Best Western I've been to. And there's no free breakfast.

I can't say enough about the service and friendliness of the staff — they were outstanding! We were visiting the Yosemite National Park, and this place gave us the "lodge" feel.

Very nice place that feels like you are staying at the lodge. The people are very friendly and it is just a few minutes away from Yosemite Park entrance. The rooms are a little old and need some updating. We got a nice suite # 100 with 3 queens beds. The only thing that would make it better is a free breakfast even if they raise the price to accommodate it. They also have a nice laundry mat and two heated pools. It was funny to hear my kids say this was the best room we have stayed in our trip since we have been staying in 5 star resorts for the beginning of our trip. We have 4 kids so they were excited to have 2 kids per bed.

Quiet, clean, good hot water, good lighting, nice amenities. Yes, the hotel is older, its not a 5-star hotel, but is not a 5-star hotel price either. Good for what we needed — nice place to clean up and get good sleep at night while visiting the park during the day. Internet 25mb down, 22 up. Super fast for uploading pics to the cloud.

Great hotel with nice facilities (indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as fitness center). Easy parking/access and friendly staff. They do not provide breakfast but give you 25% discount for a local diner just around the corner. At these prices it's a great deal.
