Carter's is the best place when its hot and very busy everywhere else since the price point is a little higher then other there will be less people. Also the buses don't go there!

The hotel itself was amazing. The outside was beautiful and the room was incredible. The bathroom was huge with an amazing bathtub Jacuzzi (with jets) and they had bath salts for you to use! The shower was huge as well. Another great feature was the patio that overlooked the vineyard. Reasons why it didn't get 5 stars: — A bit pricey — they charged an extra $19 resort fee which I didn't know when I booked — The free continental breakfast was just okay — the breakfast pastries seemed like they came from a prepackaged bag — Not well sound-insulated — we could hear people talking in the room next to us Overall they were very friendly and I'd definitely recommend the place.

We had a great time hear. Very nice spacious room, clean, Huge restroom. Delicious breakfasts. Great rates. Definitely planning on coming back.

Great stay. Awesome tasting room where you are seated at a table and they bring you each tasting in a new glass. Not busy at all surprisingly. We will definitely stay here again.

Omg… this winery is amazing! The bungalow we stayed in had an amazing view, the bathroom was gorgeous. The only thing missing was a microwave, because the suite was so nice, it was times we didn't feel like leaving out, but we needed to get warm food! Loved it here!

Location of the villas are off the main road and not necessarily noticable from the road. The rooms are spacous and have a private patio. A contenantal breakfast was included and delivered in the the morning. We only received this once as we we're only given one order form on our first night and not left one when the room was cleaned. A phone call to room service cleared this up but could have been avoided if the order menu was left. The location is ideal and pretty centrally located to most of the vineyards. There is a good pool and hot tub. Pool is heated which is nice. The veiw while lounging at the pool is great and it is very peaceful and relaxing. Of all the places we have stayed in Temecula this is our new favorite. Rooms are well done, pool and location are hard to pass up.

My husband and I were celebrating our 48th anniversary, what a beautiful place to stay. We had a beautiful room, bathroom had large shower and there was a deep soaking tub too… there is a beautiful oooland jaccuzie and a little outdoor grill. Robert, Vickie and Tony were fantastic at the winery, where we went to sample wine. For me their dessert wine was delicious, so good… nice place to stay and in the morning we watched hot air balloons going out from our little patio… we will definitely go again.

The Carter Estate is a small luxury resort with attentive service and offers great rooms with a fantastic view. This place is the perfect stay for any wine enthusiast, your patio door is steps away from the Carter's private vineyards and is in the heart of Temecula wine country. This property is the sister property of South Coast Winery and together they offer every amenity one would want. Recommend a horse drawn carriage through the vines & hot air balloon scenic ride that leaves straight from the Carter!

Carter is a great tasting room to escape the crowds in the Temecula Wine Valley. Great selection of sparkling wines and reserve reds.

Great location and nice rooms for the price. Their sparkling wine they bottle at the winery is very good and the staff is very friendly. The only thing they need to improve is their restaurant. I tried going twice and it was empty and the server was never there.

Great winery and the units are incredible. The entire vibe of the resort is incredible and very private.

Wow … best wine in Temecula. Lou was an amazing guide through all of the different wines they offer. Not your typical wine tasting experience. Came back again … Gloria was even better than Lou. This place is amazing.

Walk outside your villa and you’ll find yourself immediately in the vineyard. The rooms feature tall ceilings that make your room feel 10 times the actual square footage. The private jacuzzi bathtub, expansive shower, and double sinks made a huge difference. Wonderful service, close to town, felt very private and quiet this time of November. Would definitely come back!

The location is great and is very noticeable from a moving vehicle. Finely landscaped areas adorned the outside of the building; three are many sitting areas with shade. Lovely winery.

Carter Estates has become my go to winery when visiting Temecula. Wine is absolutely divine. My bartender, Melissa was knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. Thank you Carter Estates! Oh yeah, that 2010 Merlot… *Sigh.

My fiance and I had found a deal on one of the travel websites and spent the night at Carter Estate Winery and Resort for NYE; the stay included a free bottle of wine. The estate is located just before the roundabout, and the lodging area is past the tasting room. The bungalow we stayed at was very spacious, and had a view of the vineyard. The room had a comfortable Murphy style king sized bed, and the bathroom had both a large tub and shower area. The tub was like a mini jacuzzi; good for a hot and relaxing water jet massage. We tried out the tasting room and were provided great service by our host. Guests at the estate receive a $5 discount off the tasting price. We did not utilize any other service provided by the estate since we primarily booked it for being near other vineyards for wine tasting and a place to stay for New year's. However, our stay was wonderful, and did not have any complaints or issues.

We visited this hotel to explore it as an option for guests of our upcoming wedding. The staff were great, showed us a vacant room and answered all of our questions. We will definitely be recommended this to our guests!

Wow. 5 star experience at a 3 star price. Booked here for a 4 day getaway. Didn't regret it for a second. The villas are huge, the bathroom is the size of my apartment, the bath is the size of a hot-tub, the bed gave me narcolepsy every time I got in it, the pool is cute, with free cabanas and friendly waiter service, I woke up every morning to the sight of hot air balloons passing overhead, the Wi-Fi is fast and free. Didn't eat here, but there are 4 great restaurants within a 3 minute drive which we did eat at, and there's a supermarket 5 minutes down the road + a fridge in the room = plenty of scope for picnics with wine on your patio overlooking the vineyard. We also had a spa at the sister resort (south coast), who nicely gave us a pool pass for their pool area too. Temecula wines? Meh, they're ok, but unless you're a real wine perfectionist you'll find plenty to keep you interested. Overall, this basically felt like renting a villa in the south of France, at a quarter of the price, and where everything was brand new and worked. Get there now before the prices go up.

Really wish I was leaving a better rating then this, but the lady at the front desk deserves a one star rating for lack of customer service and due to her we would never return. When we checked in we weren't given a bottle of wine, no big deal. I thought it was in the room, so I didn't mention it. When we got to the room later that night, we noticed it wasn't there. We called down to the office three times that night to mention it, no answer. I mentioned it upon check out and was handled rudely. I was told that because we didn't directly book through the website we didn't get one. This was clearly posted when I booked on a third party site we would get a bottle, or I wouldn't of even of known. When I mentioned this, your employee was wanting to argue with me over it and was down right rude about it. Very poorly handled and unprofessional. To pay a good price for a room and to be treated in such a manner is uncalled for. We travel a lot and this is the first time I have seen such a poorly ran place. We will be staying at another winery in the future that appreciates their customers.

I thought it was a nice experience. I think that member should get more than for tasting cards per year. And I'm looking forward to when the restaurant is going to be built. Maybe members to get discounts staying at the Carter estate resort Villas.

The location of the resort was perfect. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, large bed and large bathroom. The service was 5 star, pick up the phone and they were quick to help out with whatever was needed. Overall, a wonderful and amazing experience. I would highly recommend it.

This is a New Years week getaway! Everything has been very professional this week. The chefs, maids, and front desk have been very professional with our accommodations. We recommend the Carter Estate Winery & Resort!

Ask for Lou, he is just a delight and really knows his wines. I would come back here just to see what he recommended. Sadly, we witnessed a table not tip him. Over all, this place has everything, wasn't overly packed, friendly people, and wonderful wines.

This place was built to really show the wine enthusiast person a great Vineyard in great wines including still wines and sparkling wines.

Wonderful experience. Being that they are brand new, we had the staff almost to ourself during the week, we stayed Sunday and Monday night. Excellent grounds and pool. By far my best mini vacation yet.

Was so nervous to stay at a new hotel with no reviews! When we opened the door to our bungalow I realized why nobody has written one yet. They don't want to give away the newest best kept secret in temecula! The rooms are HUGE and the property is truly breathtaking. The king bed I wanted to cart off the premises it was so heavenly. I'm an interior designer who travels for a living and I'm notorious for going to a hotel and hiding all of the ugly "stuff" in the closet — I was obsessed with the decor-truly feels like a coastal Carolina chic designer home. Stunning staff, spot on amenities, and the view of the vineyard from the patio is to die for. Ok let me wrap this up. Pros: Literally everything. Ps there's a fireplace. Cons: I don't live there permanently. You have made me more of hotel snob. Bravo you guys nailed it.
